art vs the artist and a year in review (sort of) it's a 2for

2024! wow!! i actually finished about twice as much art as i thought i could but half as much as i wanted, well, small steps. amazingly, if you set clear and manageable goals, you can get things done, (previously thought to be) inconceivable! and i only gave myself tendonitis about five times. that's called progress

goals for 2025? continuing to try new things, finish some wips especially the 'vibrant autumn' mod and the amv, more character art, and if anyone out there wants to collaborate on a project that would be super welcomed :)

idk what to say except that this race has just been a microcosm of the charles and carlos time at ferrari. charles pulled off a generational drive, fighting through from p20 to the podium to do all he can with the bad luck he was dealt, meanwhile all carlos had to do was overtake the car in front or crash out trying and the ferrari championship would have been ours. instead he chose to protect his own race over winning his team the championship. goodbye carlos sainz, i won’t miss you as a scuderia ferrari driver.

thoughts on 2024 ✨

this year was definitely a rough one, but I’ve been so grateful for this space - the comfort in the fics I’ve read and the kind and talented people I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with (and befriending!! never not in awe and excited about that!) has meant more than I can say.

I got to join two new fandoms this year for series I’ve loved for some time, and the friends I’ve met & the community has helped restore and encourage my enthusiasm for writing in a way that I will forever be so grateful for. I started making a list of people to tag (my fallout friends, logan aficionados, ppcu pals, tnbf lovelies, beloved mutuals) but I would hate to forget anyone, because I really do mean everyone that’s stopped by to chat, left me a kind comment, tagged me in a game, or shared something we have in common - thank you, for hanging out with me this year.

To wrap the year up, I have some fic recs queued for this evening! 💖 please check them out, I am so proud of all of you for putting yourselves out there, and sharing your amazing ideas.
