Imagine for a moment that you cannot eat what you desire, and even find it difficult to get any food at all.
In Gaza, goods are nearly nonexistent due to the closure of crossings, and even basic aid from UNRWA is scarce and insufficient.
We are now in a daily battle, fighting for the most basic necessities of life, amid a severe shortage of food and essential materials.
My family and I haven't tasted meat in two months.
The price of meat, if available, exceeds $70 per kilo, and the price of rice has reached $30 per kilo.
Friday lunch in Gaza used to be a special tradition, with the whole family gathering around the dining table.
But sadly, this day is no longer what it used to be. It has become a distant dream for many.
Each passing day increases the pain and suffering, and the beautiful memories that once brightened our days have now become just a longing.
We urge you today to continue standing with us and supporting us in these difficult times.
With your help, we can restore hope to our children and families, and be able to face these harsh circumstances.

leverage s5 revised episode order
so it's my understanding that it's pretty much general consensus that s5 is setting up the ot3 endgame, showing us throughout the season how close they are and how well they work together and establishing their relationship the best way they can without the network realising, right? we see this in how they do historical episodes, always pairing Nate and Sophie but they've paired Parker and Hardison and Parker and Eliot, and in the present they've done Eliot and Hardison enough times. and so the finale, The Long Goodbye Job, is the final dot over the i to make that clear - Eliot, Parker, and Hardison die together in the fake scenario because anything else would be anathema, and they skip off into the sunset together as a three person Leverage team while Nate and Sophie skip off together as Out Of The Game, For Good
The Frame Up Job and The Rundown Job support this by showing us how well Eliot, Parker, and Hardison work together, how flawless a team (how thoroughly established an ot3) and by showing us Nate and Sophie as a thoroughly established married couple disgustingly in love and bickering and on the same wavelength
now I propose (and not just because of Eliot's haircut in The Rundown Job clearly indicating this episode should've come later in the season) that The Long Goodbye Job was not intended to be the series finale, and that The Frame Up Job and The Rundown Job were supposed to form a two-episode series finale directly following The Long Goodbye Job. soft epilogues, if you will
points to consider:
in both of those episodes, the other half of the team does not appear and is not even mentioned. it's not like the Girls / Boys Night Out episodes, where the episodes are mirrored and the team is working on related problems, and is then reunited at the end - these are entirely separate episodes featuring two independent teams
Vance to Eliot: "Hell, your girlfriend's already out of her cuffs." Nobody corrects him. Not Parker, not Hardison, and not Eliot. Ok this one doesn't prove episode order I just love this subtle ot3 confirmation moment
Sterling, to Nate and Sophie: "Now I know where you are. Call me. I'm hiring."
this was already funny as is, and we're presuming this is because Sterling hasn't found out where the team relocated to after Boston, but imagine if this is actually after The Long Goodbye Job? Sterling let them go. Nate pushed him and he came down on the side of thieves, and he let them go, and then couldn't find them but now he has and his frustration with the case and Nate and Sophie's casual disregard and the final 'I'm hiring'? It's been a couple of months since The Long Goodbye Job and this is the most fun Sterling has had in ages
but the ot3 half ok. so The Long Goodbye Job tells us that they die together and they live together, and they continue Leverage as a 3 person team. Give it a couple of months and they're in DC and they face a real life and death moment - and they live together.
and also, you get Eliot telling Vance "I work with them now" and then he limps bloodily off into the sunset squished between Hardison and Parker like the three of them are off to have some incredible sex
listen I just think season 5 makes so much more sense if we consider those two episodes as the episodes establishing the happily ever after epilogues after The Long Goodbye Job
also in Leverage: Redemption the very first episode we find out that Nate had a shady stash of paintings and materials and whatnot so what if that is actually a hint that Nate and Sophie did actually get back into the game, with Sterling, until Nate passed away and Sophie clocked out?

twenty questions for fic writers
tagged by @hearteyestommykinard and @desert--moonchild <333
How many works do you have an AO3? 34.
2. What's your total AO3 word count? 132,535.
3. What fandoms do you write for? at the moment, just 9-1-1, although i have a feeling as soon as i rewatch the sandman i’ll feel a renewed urge to write in that fandom too.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? let me in before the rainy season starts again (7337) i want to believe (3878) colliding with forever when you speak (3191) clouds the size of oceans outside and above our heads (3186) the symphony of what we are (773) (all five of these are for the sandman, btw. all dreamling.)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why? Why not? so the thing is that i want to be the kind of person who responds to every comment, but they build up and then thinking about answering them makes me anxious so i avoid them, so more build up, so i get more anxious … it’s a whole thing. and i try not to get to the point where my hobbies feel like assignments? so.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? we were warm until we went to hell, with characters from star trek (2009) in the universe of repo! the genetic opera. it’s, uh. about as cheerful as the source material. (... i.e., major character death.)
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i’m dying not to hurt you, a haven fic in which i said “fuck that” to the MCD in the penultimate episode, and in which i got the ot3 from the show together. finally.
8. Do you get hate on fics? not so far (fingers crossed).
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? until a few months ago the answer to this question was “no”, but then i … started writing smut. apparently. it’s all been bucktommy so far (and probably will continue to be, tbh).
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written? well considering the answer to #6 is a crossover …. anyway. not my only crossover. i think maybe the "craziest", just in terms of which media were getting mixed, is the sound of her wings -- a crossover between mash and the sandman (the comic series; this fic was written in 2006).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? no (again, fingers crossed).
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? i have not!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? no, although i help people brainstorm sometimes (or get help brainstorming). also, it's not quite fics, but i was in a bunch of text-based RPGs on LJ and DW in the long long ago.
14. What's your all time favorite ship? what a horrifying question to ask, thanks! uh. right now, probably bucktommy; ask me again in a year and that answer might change.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? i have concerns about finishing the thing i'm calling "the frequency AU", solely because it's. a lot of plot. and i have a severe tendency to get myself bogged down in details that literally nobody else gives a shit about, to the point where all writing ceases. (... actually, i'll include "hob gadling vs the wraith" here too, for the same reason.)
16. What are your writing strengths? i'm pretty good at getting characters' voices right, i think, both out loud and in their heads (i write almost exclusively third-person limited).
17. What are your writing weaknesses? scene transitions. establishing scenes, so that the thing i have pictured in my head that i'm trying to get into words is accurately conveyed to other people in a way that i don't leave a big piece of information out. where to end scenes.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? hasn't really come up for me actually? i feel like if it ever did i'd just end up going the "italicized words, and then "in [language]" after the italics" route, both for my sake and the sake of the readers.
19. First fandom you wrote for? sailor moon, the dic dub. thank god geocities is gone.
20. Favorite fics you've written? this one's a really tough call actually! i think probably a cross between we'll dance this fading life away (stargate sg-1) and the physics of this second sight has led me here (the librarians), because i was trying to write the both of them for such a long time and i'm really happy (and proud of myself, honestly) that i managed to finish them both.
tagging (with zero pressure!): @miriellesandthegiantpeach @mooshkat @26-cats-in-a-trenchcoat @smallandalmosthonest @dadvans

If I knew so many people would give you Reiji I'd have given you a different character SDJKGFK
Masumi for a round two??
only seeing this now ;lkdjfa;dlsjasfa anyway it's my own fault for being so predictable XD
Why I like them/why I don’t
I looooooove Masumi because she's mean lol. like she'll just snipe people for no reason. She's really perfect rival material in terms of yugioh and it's a shame there wasn't really space in the narrative for her to be more prominent. Still, her short-lived rivalry with Yuzu was really good for both of them narratively. I really love just how she gets to be smug and a little bit arrogant, and then also gets to be the sort of rival tsundere towards Yuzu like Kaiba is to Yugi lol. she deserves it <3
What I like about their appearance
she's soooo pretty ;w; it's unfortunately so rare to see brown characters in yugioh so she stands out in that regard and she's just generally has such a nice design and palette?? the only thing i'm unsure about is what is happening with her outfit sldkjf;slajfasdl
Do I prefer their dub names or original names?
Original for sure. there's nothing wrong with Julia Krystal, it's just kinda whatever. Masumi is cuter.
OTP
lol Yuzu for sure and forever <3 though i'm partial to shipping her with pretty much any of the bracelet girls. I just think Masumi should have a hundred girlfriends
NOTP
nothing particularly springs to mind, though she does personally strike me as a lesbian so I don't prefer to ship her with dudes
OT3
if I have to pick JUST ONE combo, it would be Masumi/Yuzu/Selena. But the ideal situation is Masumi in a bracelet girls sandwich
Favourite card they use
Gem Knights as a whole are soooo good but I really love Lapis Lazuli's design
Favourite moment they were in
When she was falling and Yuzu sent her monster to catch her and Masumi looked up at Yuzu and blushed i die every time
Least favourite moment
none, she elevates all moments she's in <3
Would I fuck, marry or kill them
probably marry i suppose? her family's got a gem business so they're probably well off lol. and she's pretty and mean <3

TALK TO ME ABOUT OT3!!! GIMME DEM DEETS!!!
First you have to know... I love ot3s, most of my ships in this fandom are ot3s or moresomes...
Other than the trio of music: jazz/blaster/Soundwave that I love dearly and is my main thing because... yes.
I have this trio that maybe works only in my head and in the context of a wip fic I'm writing...
Arcee/Elita-1/Optimus Prime
Now first thing first everyone should know I love Optimus with tf women, he is husband material and every woman deserves an Optimus in her life...
But other than that in this context I have my Gladiator Op Au in which my 2 wives are already seasoned warriors and gladiators because of problems with the government
And Op that also is there because of problems with the government is there alone against the world and becomes friends with them and chaos ensues. But I have scenes planned for them. They are so good for each other I promise

2, 5 and 8 for Ted Lasso for the ask game <3
2. a headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like!
Jamie (very occasionally) soft-domming Roy. As a little treat for both of them.
Roy had a ring and planned to propose to Keeley in Marbella (because you know what, it's just like Roy to be like: Well, I fear this relationship is floundering and speed running towards it's inevitable conclusion. I know exactly what will fix it: a 6 week long holiday and a proposal! WHAT 🤦‍♀️ A disaster! ❌)
i'm not really a gay!Roy truther at all because i'm in too deep on the roykeeley/ot3 of it all, but I can set that aside to enjoy: so afraid that time will take it all from me by LikeAMovieIOnceSaw. It is a brilliant and exceptional fic that 100% had me fully believing in gay!Roy for the entirety of reading it.
5. something you see a lot in fics and love
use of the the following nicknames: Jay-Jay, Jay, Jam Tartt, Keels <3
during the post s2 hiatus I absolutely ate up any fic whatsoever where Jamie starts staying with RoyKeeley because of Heavy Circumstances, and what starts as 'temporary' quickly becomes something more permanent as they grow into a relationship
Jamie being injured on the pitch or from violence with his dad or what have you, and Roy and/or Keeley worrying and fretting over him. bonus points if he's in the hospital and Roy and Keeley are worrying and fretting at his bedside!
Roy taking Jamie home/over to Keeley's after Man City and taking care of him.
jamiegender stuff
8. you hope more people will come to appreciate ___ (a ship, a trope, an episode, etc)
the good stuff about s3 (it wasn't ALL bad you guys!!)
jamiekeeley at all stages
how romantic Roy is (dare I say he's the most romantic of the trio?)
Nate deserved redemption and his arc was much better than people will tell you it was (not perfect, obviously. but good!)
How happy Rebecca is in Amsterdam with Matthijs. "the real rebecca is silly" ...and what an embodiment of that her plot is Amsterdam is!! it was romcom material idc
Sam and Jamie best friendism. I feel like we DO appreciate this as a fandom and yet we still don't talk about them enough lol idk. you can never have too much samjamie appreciation.

ot3 week day 3: the princess, the knight, and the dragon
(I do have a rough sketch for this concept as a 5+1 thing, but at this time I’ve only written…an introduction plus two and a half parts of it. So here’s the first part!)
Once upon a time, in a land of rolling forests and enchanted oceans, there lived a dragon. Not just any dragon, but a wicked purple dragon, with fire in her belly and madness in her eyes, and a fondness for causing mischief that often outstripped her capacity for getting herself out of said mischief.
Traditionally, in a land like this one, fully of fairy tales and magical castles and enchantments, it falls to the resident dragon to capture a beautiful princess, and in turn be defeated by a brave knight, and then the two will do something horribly indecent in front of the dragon's steaming corpse, in the name of true love, of course, and then ride off into the sunset in order to live happily ever after. Sometimes, room can be made in the tradition for a just and kind king to be the one marrying off the princess to the knight, but that variation typically relies on the king being old, and in this land, the king is...
Not.
He's young.
Very young.
So young, in fact, that he may have allowed the traditional story to go a little, teeny tiny, itsy-bitsy bit astray.
So yeah. Maybe the dragon is in love with her princess, and maybe the knight is a little bit in love with both of them, and maybe the king isn't interested in the princess after all, even though that's the only other way for the story to go, with the princess and the king having a doomed lovers sort of thing, and the knight having some kind of erotic rivalry with the dragon, and all of them dying very tragically in the end. But this king is too good and kind to fit in that sort of story, and besides, the traditional stories really only make space for three, maybe four roles, and none of them have a mad scientist riding in on the back of the dragon to cause even more trouble than either of them could on their own.
Once upon a time, there was a different sort of fairy tale.
The wicked stepsister pauses in her creeping path down the hallway.
"Evie," comes a smushed sort of voice. "I can't breathe."
A giggle floats out of the empty science classroom. "Beauty is pain, beastie boy," a low girl's voice says. "Let the princess do her wicked work on you."
Another giggle. Hannah, wicked stepsister extraordinaire, creeps closer. 'Beastie boy' sounds an awful lot like gossip material, and Audrey and her court of princesses will pay a pretty penny for any school gossip to hit their ears first.
"...you're sure this is the best way to test your experiment?" the boy's voice says.
Two people at least stifle giggles. Badly. "I'm so sure," Evie coos. "This is going to be the most perfect makeup line you've ever seen, and it's going to be allll because of you."
"Because it feels like this is some sort of elaborate hazing ritual," Ben continues. "Not that I'm complaining about helping you. Because I love helping. But it just feels like you're hazing me."
More stifled giggles. "Now what makes you think that?"
"Oh, nothing. Just that you're painting liquid blush through my eyebrows."
"I'm testing it for potential secondary uses as a brow tint. You're actually a fashion frontrunner right now."
"I believe that. Totally."
Hannah creeps closer. The classroom door is shut, but there's a glass window in the front, and if she angles herself just right around the corner--
"Don't be such a wimp," Evie says, through her giggles. "But if you insist on being traditional, I'll let you test some lipstick next. You're not even the first to try this one, so put that frown away, I'm not giving you the one with frog venom."
"Just the nail polish with neurotoxin." Ben complains cheerfully. Hannah angles herself a little closer, pushes up on her toes, and--
"Baby," Evie says, leaning in to where she's got the king of Auradon sitting on the science lab table, surrounded by tiny jars and bottles of colorful conctions. "I love you too much to really poison you."
And just like that, she leans down and kisses him.
Hannah gasps.
This is it. This is the hottest gossip she's ever going to break. She slaps a hand over her mouth before she can make another noise and give herself away, but she can't tear her eyes away, and oh, she doesn't need to worry about them looking up and seeing her. That's not just a kiss, that's a makeout.
The king. Making out with a villain. A princess villain, but still.
Audrey's going to freak out.
Hannah's seen enough. As quietly as she can, she spins around and creeps back the other way. She can get her science textbook later, or never, for all she cares. She's going to be absolutely famous in the gossip circles tomorrow.
Unseen, unheard, Evie pulls back.
Ben's lips are red and wet and stained almost-perfectly with her juicy strawberry-red lip tint.
"You didn't have to give her a show," Ben says, tipping his mouth up to meet hers again, laughing. "I don't think anyone else is going to understand the appeal of friend makeouts."
Evie tosses her silky ponytail over her shoulder, and leans down to meet him halfway. "They don't need to understand. I like being gossip fuel. It gives me power over them.”
"Power to make them buy your new eyebrow tint?"
Both girls, Evie in Ben's arms and Mal standing guard by the door, giggle. "Totally. You're the perfect model, beastie boy."
Ben sighs. "You're so mean to me."
"Because we love you!" Evie sing-songs. "Now hold still so I can do your lashes too.”

explaim sokeefitz to me like im 16 and going through a sexuality crisis
apologies for getting to this late, i didn't check tumblr yesterday, but i'm answering it now!
sokeefitz is the polyamorous (consensually non-monogamous) ship between sophie foster, keefe sencen, and fitz vacker. some people interpret sokeefitz as a v relationship, while others (including myself) interpret it as a triad. in-depth explanation surrounding terminology and why people (romantically and queerplatonically) ship it below!
edit: this turned into an impromptu essay lol. there's a one paragraph summary at the end, i promise
v relationships versus triads, in relation to sokeefitz
v relationships are when one person dates two people, but said two people don't date each other. they're called v relationships because if you make a diagram of it, it looks like a v. typically, sokeefitz in a v relationship is portrayed as sophie dating the boys but the boys being just friends. but i've also seen interpretations where it's keefe dating the two of them, or fitz dating the two of them. sometimes, portrayals of v relationship sokeefitz are centered around their v relationship evolving into a triad.
which brings me to what triads are! triads are when three people are all dating each other. so a sokeefitz triad would be sokeefe, sophitz, keefitz, and the three of them together rolled into one ship.
most interpretations of sokeefitz, v relationship or triad, involve them being romantically interested in each other. (i'll talk about queerplatonic variations of sokeefitz later!)
why do people ship sokeefitz?
sokeefe and sophitz have a lot of canon grounding, so i think it's pretty self-explanatory as to why people ship sophie with keefe or fitz. the reasoning as to why shipping her with both of them became a thing was because people here on this lovely hellsite looked at the love triangle and went, wouldn't it be a win-win situation if they were an ot3 (3-person version of otp [one true pairing])?
while keefe and fitz have gotten jealous over each other's connections to sophie in canon, with their background of being best friends, some can see them being okay - with boundary-setting and trust-rebuilding beforehand - with dating her simultaneously. as for why sophie would want to date them simultaneously, there's a lot of moments in canon where she hates the idea of 'choosing between them'. she loves both of them in different ways for different reasons, and doesn't like the idea of giving up one for the other. if she were given the option of trying out a polyamorous relationship with them, there's a high chance she'd take it in canon. so, people give her that chance in fanon.
as for why people enjoy variations of sokeefitz where the boys are dating sophie and each other: keefe and fitz are often interpreted as childhood friends to exes. ex best friends? ex boyfriends? who knows anymore, keefe canonically stole fitz's bramble jersey, and fitz canonically wanted to move in with keefe and be his roommate. canon tries to portray them as friends with tension, but queer fans like myself have a tendency to look at their deep understanding of who the other used to be from the little things to the major parts and the bridge burning between them and go, hm. that's some good ship material, if i do say so myself.
keefe and fitz probably wouldn't have mutual romantic attraction towards each other in canon, but keefe flirts with literally everyone (from sophie to dex, and also going to take off his shirt for tam that one time) and is often read as bisexual-coded by the fandom. (typical bisexual definition: being attracted to two or more genders.) lots of people on here view fitz as being attracted to people based on personality, not gender. i personally like to headcanon him as someone who's not a big fan of labeling his sexuality, since it might feel like boxing himself into something, when the public and his family and his peers have been boxing him into different roles his whole life.
anyway! as to why people like myself like sokeefitz, alongside the screw the love triangle aspect of the ship, is how the three of them work excellently as a team. they have deep chemistry, and know how to compliment each other's weaknesses one way or another. they're by far not a perfect throuple, but i feel like they trust and love each other enough (in their own ways) that they're willing to work out their issues together. sophie and fitz have ironed some issues between them out through cognate training, and continue to do so; sophie and keefe have had major disagreements before, but reconcile in the end once they've tried to make up for mistakes made; and keefe and fitz have the hardest time making up, but it's arguably harder to let go of your first true friend when the two of you have gone through so much already.
queerplatonic variations of sokeefitz
i've also seen interpretations where at least two of them are in a queerplatonic relationship (qpr) instead. queerplatonic is a broad category that's typically defined as deep intimacy between people that may involve actions outwardly perceived as romantic (cuddling, dates, etc) but not have romantic intentions behind them. (for informational purposes, since qpr's aren't talked about much outside of the aromantic community, i'll note that most of the time qpr's don't include sex, but sometimes they do.) since queerplatonic is such a broad category, there are lots of variations of how it feels. the two main descriptions of queerplatonic attraction i've seen fall under the category of 'more intimate version of friendship' or 'relationship that exists entirely outside the platonic to romantic spectrum'. (personally, it feels like the former to me.)
queerplatonic variations of sokeefitz typically come from headcanons that fitz is on the aromantic spectrum, since he appears to have little to no romantic attraction in general towards people in canon. (example: while keefe frequently flirts w/ people and notes/hints at attractiveness in others, most of that doesn't even register as a possibility in fitz's head. unless he is attracted to someone, which appears to have only ever explicitly happened in canon with sophie.) there are headcanons that fitz is simply aromantic, while others headcanon him as demiromantic (only romantically attracted to people once he really gets to know them) or grayromantic (experiences romantic attraction occasionally, or only under certain circumstances, or only in small amounts).
this doesn't mean that sokeefitz is only ever interpreted as queerplatonic on fitz's end, though! i've read at least one fic where sophie was in a qpr with keefe and fitz (and i'm pretty sure keefe and fitz were in a qpr with each other too), and i've also read one where keefe was aroace (aromantic asexual, little to no romantic or sexual attraction) but willing to try out a qpr with sophie and fitz, who were both interested in him.
another important note about qpr's: some qpr's consist of people experiencing only queerplatonic attraction towards each other, other qpr's have at least one person who experiences romantic attraction and at least one other person who experiences queerplatonic attraction and they work out boundaries around what's 'too romantic' (been there, done that), or have at least one person experiencing attraction that fluctuates between romantic and queerplatonic, or something else. sokeefitz can be interpreted to fall under any of these categories, although i personally interpret it as the second option when we throw queerplatonic attraction into the mix.
summary: sokeefitz is the polyamorous ship between sophie foster, keefe sencen, and fitz vacker. it can be interpreted as all of them dating each other (being in a triad), or only some of them dating each other and others being just friends (being in a v relationship). v relationship variations of sokeefitz usually consist of sophie dating keefe and fitz, but keefe and fitz not dating each other - but there are other v relationship variations, like keefe dating sophie and fitz, but sophie and fitz being just friends. the main reasons why people ship these three is because the love triangle is stupid, and they have good enough chemistry and enough want to make things work with each other that they have potential for a good relationship. also, there are queerplatonic variations of sokeefitz, but those are less common and based on headcanons surrounding different characters - mostly fitz - being on the aromantic spectrum.
to anyone who made it this far - please let me know if you have any questions surrounding any of this, i'd be happy to answer!

Hello! Character ask game: 3, 21, 22 for Eliot, 21 and 22 for Quinn, please?
Hope you are having a great evening and wishing you your favourite weather to be in (or look at from inside!) <3 <3
Okay, let's see
3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?
I don't mind that Eliot’s a shameless flirt, but there are a few moments where I just sit and think, "buddy, you're not actually a preteen boy, get it together." There's probably things I like less lol, but it has been a while since I did a thorough rewatch and I tend to skip to my favorite episodes anyway😁
21, If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?
For Eliot, I love putting him in the same room as any small child, even if I haven't done it much yet. And one day I will get around to writing him doing that delightful Critiquing Thugs thing he does.
But annoyingly I don't like writing him fight, because I'm not good at action, I can't visualize, so it's tricky. And of course the first real fanfic series I ever posted was him and Dean Winchester meeting up all the time, doing actiony things I don't know how to write😅
For Quinn, I've only written him in spanking fics so far, and I love that he tends to be just consistently squirmy as a Dom in a way I really didn't expect. More generally, I like that he's perpetually amused by everything.
What don't I like writing about him? Um. It can be tricky with so little source material, even though that's half the fun.
22, If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?
For Eliot, again, show me the man with a small child and I am here for it. Or give me a crossover, or even keep it in the Leverage verse, and have other badasses react to his name with shock and awe. My favorite thing in the show is watching him fight, but alas, I can't picture it myself, so not super helpful in fics.
I don't particularly like shipping him with everyone who comes along. And I don't mind the ot3 but I'm very happy without it too.
For Quinn, show me that cheerful violence. That he's unapologetically still into the world Eliot left with guilt and shame dragging him down. Quinn just casually suggesting murder as the answer to any problem delights me lol
Ah, what don't I like? I don’t like Quinn in unrequited love with Eliot. Put them together, absolutely. Make Eliot less invested? Hell no. Give me hitter boyfriends for life.
Thanks for the ask! And the snow is quite pretty, even if it was annoying uncovering my car lol 💜💜💜

God. GOD. I hate traveling west-to-east. Going the other way I can power through the exhaustion and stay up late and mostly get on the right timeline, but coming back? Fucked up sleep schedule for days. Unrelenting exhaustion. I woke up this morning hours later than i should have despite bedtime, never fully woke up, opened work inbox and almost collapsed in overstimulated exhaustion. At least one important meeting is happening as soon as tomorrow and i have, apparently, new deliverables that materialized while i was gone. Stalled at a third unpacked, in denial over how I need to do laundry.
Anyways! I'm going to go sort and tag and remove dipliecates for my hoard of cnovel files. Self care. Also, the fourteenth year of chenghua is REAL good, i wasn't sure about it at first, but I'm not only deeply into it, I've acquired a new ot3. I also have at least one other copy of it that's nigh-unreadable mtl, so this sorting will be VERY satisfying lmao

Note
hi, are you still going to release the submissions that didn't make it into the original tournament? I understand if not, but I'm kind of uncreative and would love to comb through them for stuff that makes me go "oh, of course!" in lieu of having to think of stuff to submit myself this time around
I warn you. There is literally over a thousand responses. Good Luck.
This is just the responses that I got as an anonymous spreadsheet. Only the write ins are included.

Twenty Questions for Fic Writers!
Tagged by @bbcphile and @extraordinarilyextreme (thank you both so much for tagging me!!)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Can't believe it's 44?? O . O (but I think I wrote most of them between 2018 and 2019)
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
167,565
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mysterious Lotus Casebook recently :)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Haha I'm going to skip this question actually
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! I always reply at least once. I'm not the best at coming up with interesting things to say, but I'm always so grateful for comments. Just hearing that someone read through a story that I wrote and felt something from my words means a lot.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Maybe wishes are hopes we want other people to listen to. I've written a couple fics with intentionally sad endings, and I've always found them so much easier than happy endings.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
The White Umbrella has a really nice ending! It's my ghost story for Guardian if anyone still remembers it :D Also this is somehow the only fic of mine that has been read by a lot of people and still doesn't have any subscriptions haha. Not that subscriptions are a sign of anything really, because I randomly subscribe/forget to unsubscribe after reading fics too. But I think this one really had a good ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nope. I've been in really nice fandoms so far though :)
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Ahh no, I'm just not very interested somehow. I'm not sure I'd be able to anyway
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I haven't written one before! I've done some where the premise is based off a different source material though.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Oh, I don't think so.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yep! Literally so honored that people have translated some of my fics T^T
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yeah, @bluewindfall and I wrote a collab a while back...and we haven't finished it. I think I might be a bad writing partner though. The stars have to align for me to be able to write, and it's like not conducive to communicating with my partner. I, for some reason, cannot write knowing most of the plot beforehand, and that makes it really hard for us to plan anything.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Hmmmm this is a hard question. Maybe Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan? But it might also be Wang Lu and Hai Yunfan. And lately the MLC OT3 is all I think about. It's hard to choose one.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
*falls on the ground and coughs blood* ughh there's a few Guardian ones that I still think about, but I think it would be hard since it was a while ago, and what I care about as a writer is a little different now. Also all of my Lingjianshan WIPs ahhhhh it's hard to tell since I've only posted a really short fic, but I've written over 10 different versions of this one WIP.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Ooh so I get told now and then that my writing has nice vibes ✨ haha, but yeah a lot of people have said that my writing has a nice atmosphere or like a melancholy feel to it.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I struggle with writing things that are concrete, and I have trouble with scenes that are very present and involved, like fight scenes.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I don't really have any strong feelings on this. I usually try not to go overboard with honorifics or terms that are not obvious, like I never use footnotes or anything to tell people definitions because I think it's a little less accessible. I do use honorifics sometimes, but I try to keep those to ones that are well known (idk like shifu) or ones that you can infer from the rest of the sentence. It's kind of hard sometimes though, especially when your fandom is really tiny and you can't translate something ('you' as in me because I can't translate anything)
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Guardian :) I think Guardian will always be special to me.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Ahh right now it's probably my post-canon MLC fic: far from the shore since it hasn't been that long since I finished it. It's embarrassing to admit, but I'm still at that stage where I refresh it daily. But I'm mostly just happy with it because it feels like something that only I could have written.
I'll tag @bluewindfall, @bocje-ce-ustu, @kickassfu, @purplemagpie, @wuxia-vanlifer, @omgpurplefattie, and anyone else who wants to do it :D (sorry for tagging you even if you haven't heard from me in ages)

Mild weight gain/fat admiration
Kinks You Won't Find Here:

My Writing
I cycle sporadically between various WIPs, mostly about original characters. On the happy occasion I actually finish a story, I usually post it to my Pillowfort and AO3 and share links here.
Speaking of Pillowfort…
I can't recommend Pillowfort.social enough if you're in the market for an independent, user-funded, NSFW-welcoming social media site. They just came out with a rolling wait list a la AO3, but if you don't wanna wait, you can send me an ask off anon or message me for an account key. 🗝️
My Sideblogs
t-kiss is my sideblog project for tummy kink self-ship; check it out if that's your jam and maybe submit something for you and your F/Os!
unconventionalselfships is my personal t-kiss blog for gushing about my obscure F/Os.
unconventionalafterdark is where I put steamier content and real-life kink. (Basically it's a catch-all for anything that feels like "too much" for my main blog. 😅)
Current Projects (indexes coming soon!)
Whiskey And Ice Cream/WAIC: An ongoing series of self-indulgent stories centered around charming sugar daddy feeder Dustin, his adorable sugar baby-turned-boyfriend feedee Adam, and their glamorous feeder FWB Angel.
A Meeting of Minds/AMOM (WIP): A plotty kink series exploring my original urban fantasy universe and the queerplatonic found family that inhabits it. If you like the fantastic stories by @ginger-and-mint and @tiny-loves-rubs then this will be right up your alley.
The Tummy Date, aka Dirk & Vanessa (WIP): An experimental story of intentional kink that started out as a love letter to my favorite fic of the same name on StomachacheCafe (may it rest in peace). I love the OCs that came from it enough that I'll probably end up writing more for them. Set in the same universe as WAIC.
Wild Mountain Honey (WIP): More self-indulgent goodness centered around a bear shifter named Orson, the small mountain town he calls home, and his love interest Jia, a burnt out big city lawyer who's inexplicably attracted to Orson's big appetite. This is still in its early development stages, but the eventual goal is more or less kinky supernatural romance meets Hallmark movie. Set in the same universe as AMOM.
Kinky Blorbo Micro Manifestos
Ask me about any of these if you want exuberant infodumps and hyperspecific headcanons. Pretty much all of these have at least one back-burner plot bunny attached to them.
John Pope and Sara from Falling Skies: Pope is my blorbo to end all blorbos, the bright star on my horizon, my #1 t-kiss F/O. Sara is his kick-ass girlfriend, one of my favorite female characters ever, and someone I'm working up the courage to also make my t-kiss F/O. He's a trigger-happy berserker who's also a chef and eats more times on-camera than anyone else on the show, she's a plucky former graphic designer who asked him for Pringles at gunpoint—need I say more?
Nick Burkhardt and Sean Renard from Grimm (TV): The stars of the first kinky fanfic I ever felt brave enough to actually post online (which I will continue Someday™). I low-key ship them and Adalind in a kinky OT3. Sean x Cheesecake 4ever (based on an outtake that would've been memed in a larger fandom).
Pete Latimer and Myka Bering from Warehouse 13: This show is best known for its amazing and tragically non-canon femslash ship, Bering and Wells, but y'all, we are sleeping on Pete. He had as much kinky canon material (proportionally at least) as a certain gruff-voiced monster-hunter, right down to a signature favorite dessert, and he may have his flaws but his masculinity is a hell of a lot healthier overall. Meanwhile, Myka is a canonical stress eater with a canonical sweet tooth and a canonical best friend/partner (Pete) who's always trying to get her to relax. Pyka was queerplatonic and I will die on that hill.
Batman/Bruce Wayne and Catwoman/Selina Kyle from Batman: The Animated Series: I've had a long-time crush on TAS Batman, and tummying him is the inevitable result of that. It's practically canon that BatCat is some flavor of kinky, so Selina talking Bruce into self-care via feedism doesn't seem like much of a stretch to me. I'm also 100% down for kinky WonderBat and/or WonderBatCat.
The Leverage OT3 (Eliot Spencer, Alec Hardison, and Parker): I'm still working my way past season one, but I have already made it my life's sidequest to believably tummy these three in various ways. Eliot's a hobbyist chef in desperate need of R&R, Hardison's hacker snacking provides endless windows of opportunity, and Parker has a major sweet tooth and zero inhibitions.
Flip from Slumberland (2022): Y'all. Y'all. I am feral over this man. A goofy outlaw and reluctant father played by Jason Momoa with fangs and a clingy T-shirt who carries snacks in his pockets and spends half the movie touching his belly is illegally tailored to my interests. Also the movie was hilarious and adorable and gave me feels and you should watch it.

Okay so, thoughts on Half Bad: the Bastard son and the Devil Himself as a book fan.
Mind you, it's been years since I read the books so the details are a little foggy through my goldfish memory. This will contain spoilers.
Overall, enjoyable. It's so different from the source material that it's hard to compare the two properly, because even the characters are different from how they are in the books. I hope they continue into a season 2 because I'd like to see where they take the book two story of Nathan learning to control his powers (please please please, give me the shared trance sequence with Gabriel god yes please)
Nathan:
In the books his mental health is a very important part of the story, he's depressed, he's been abused his whole life, and it affected how he interacted with the world as a whole. In the show he's still the Nathan from the books, but as if he'd grown up happy with no mental health problems.
They really toned down this aspect of the show. Giving him a loving grandmother, and friends, and a life outside of being a blood witch.
It made his relationship with Annalise in the books more dependent on her, because he'd never *had* someone who cared.
BTW Annalise? HATED HER. In the books at least, they really did a 180 on her personality in the show. They made her defend him which I appreciated, because in the books she never once fought for him (at least that I can remember) and he still adored her even when she was actively letting her brother(s) abuse him.
I don't believe her gift was Undoing as well. I think is was akin to mind control of some kind? (As I said, foggy on details. But I noticed they changed A LOT of people's powers for the sake of excitement)
She also didn't join him after his escape in the books. That was all Nathan and Gabriel for the longest time, and she only reappeared when her family wanted her to go manipulate him.
Gabriel:
A difficult one. His personality is so different from the books he's basically a different character all together. I still like him, but I miss my soft spoken boy who was more than willing to sit with Nathan's volatile moods.
I do like how Annalise and Gabriel start out hating each other (they hate each other in the books, Gabriel with good reason to) but the fact that they become friends, united in their love for Nathan is really nice.
Also I don't know how they managed to make a show that feels like I'm being queer baited SO HARD with their relationship, seeing as Nathan distinctly chooses Gabriel in the books, but hats off netflix you've done it.
SPOILER
As much as I like an Ot3, I'm not sure how I feel about the Nathan/Annalise/Gabriel thrupple deal they've got working. It feels like they're going to ignore Annalise's emotional manipulation and betrayal of Nathan because they afraid to make the main character "fully gay" (I know he's bi, but he does fall out of love with Annalise and in love with Gabriel and I'm sentimental about that because it was the first queer MAIN character I had ever seen.)
BIG POTENTIAL SPOILER
I have hope for the show NOT killing Gabriel because in the finale *they did his death sequence*. In the book he gets shot while trying to escape hunters with Nathan, and it's slightly Nathan's fault (due to gifts that I don't remember exactly) and Nathan becomes so depressed by his death that nothing matters to him, even after they win the war, that he becomes a hermit in the wild and eventually, using the transformation powers he inherets from his father, turns into a tree, which is irreversible.
He can't lice without his lover and it's the saddest thing.
SLEEPING OUTSIDE:
Okay, so slightly disappointed they changed this bit, but in the books blood witches are categorized by their fear of being trapped indoors at night time. So they sleep outside in the open air.
I understand they changed this because it would have been more difficult to film and it's unimportant. But CELIA DIDNT JUST PUT HIM OUTSIDE IN A CAGE TO BE NEEDLESSLY CRUEL. Yes. The cage is cruel, they glossed over many details of his actual time in her care because it was honestly awful, but being outside was for his own safety because blood witches trapped indoors at night loose their minds.
I also kind of wish they spent less time focusing on his sister and built up the relationship between Celia and Nathan. Because they had a special, weird bond in the books.
I did enjoy the show as a whole, and if they make more, I will watch more. But yeah, I have a lot of thoughts because I really loved these books when I read them.

Dante and Vergil for the ask!
Dante:
do I like them:
Of course. I mean look at him. Look at the guy!
youtube
5 good qualities:
He's a great guitarist
youtube
A great actor
youtube
A great dancer
youtube
He can be really supportive of others when the situation calls for it, as seen with Lady during the end phases of DMC3, or even with Trish in the ending of DMC1. Hell he tries to look after Nero the best he can, even if he's sometimes insensitive about it
He's got a bigger heart than he lets on: in DMC3, even before he fully transitioned from "adrenaline junkie who doesn't care if the world goes to shit so long as he gets to have fun" to "more or less responsable adrenaline junkie who's willing to make tough choices for the good of everyone" he still tried to save Lady from a strike by Vergil when she interfered with their fight.
3 bad qualities:
He's a complete slob, who's always wasting around in his office not really taking care of himself, just stuffing his face with pizza, strawberry sundaes and alcohol
He's got a bad habit of getting into debts that he cannot repay, as Lady would likely confirm, since I believe he owes her a ton of cash in the anime
While he genuinely cares for Nero and wants him to stay out of harm's way it's pretty clear from his comments about him being a deadweight and "needing to sit this one out" that he doesn't fully understand or take seriously his insecurities
favourite episode/etc:
Well technically it's DMC3, for giving us the most dynamic, perhaps human and falliable Dante, though DMC5 is close for striking the best balance between being a goofball and a "I'm getting too old for this shit" 40 yo responsable adult
otp
I know everyone wants him to get into Lady's pants, but honestly aside from their interactions in DMC3 I just don't see enough chemistry and it often feels to me that fans like to pair them together mostly because she's the only available option that doesn't devolve into problematic territory
So I'm going with Dante/Pizza
brotp:
Well he's only got one bro so :P
ot3:
None
notp:
Pretty much everything involving incest, so anything with Vergil, Nero and unfortunately Trish as well
best quote
"Frankly, at first, I didn't give a damn... but because of you I know what's important now. I know what I need to do. That's what MY soul is telling me to do"
head canon
We know that for the longest time he didn't use to have the highest opinion of Sparda, but it's implied that over the years this changed. I like to imagine that, since he never learned much about his father's "adventures" when he was a kid he sometimes tries to research stories and old folk tales about him in order to learn more about him...when he can get his lazy ass off his office chair
Vergil:
do I like them
For all intents and purposes I shouldn't, since I don't have a huge liking for purely edgy characters, even if their edginess can lead to some unintentional hilarity (look: Infinite) but Vergil is helped by having a more or less convincing backstory for his edgy behaviour (a backstory that I would have liked explored DURING DMC3 not AFTER in supplemental materials, not to mention DMC5 not delving as deeply as I would have liked) while still being pretty hilarious in his stone faced edginess. Plus he's genuinely and consistently threatening, and his brand of edginess is more of the "stoic badass who commands respect with a simple stare but who gets punked on by goofy brother" rather than "dude's a pathetic loser who got a dose of raw power and thinks he's hot shit and so just spews out edgy catchphrases thinking he's cool". With the former it's someone who is equally powerful who humiliates him, with the latter he just inadvertedly humiliates himself and I don't think it was the actual intention
5 good qualities
He's very good at keeping himself neat and tidy for someone who's technically more of a hobo than his brother (I mean I don't think Vergil has a house no?)
He's very perceptive as to when somebody might just be trying to trick him (like when he attempted to kill Arkham because he rightly suspected he was trying to double cross him)
Has some fine taste in literature
The fact that his human side was able to see the consequences of his destructive behaviour, and the fact that he was willing to stop his fight with Dante and listen to Nero and try to cut down the Qliphoth before it was too late (though only after some hefty convincing and ass kicking) shows that there might still be some form of hope for him. Maybe not outright "redemption" (kinda hard to make up for killing an entire city's population), but he may one day stop being an evil douche
Truly motivated chad
3 bad qualities:
Well y'know the whole "gotta get more power even if it means destroying the world" mindset
Really shortsighted: yeah he wants to gain more power in response to his childhood trauma....but what then? What will he do after he gets what he wants? Will he ever be satisfied with the kind of power he can gain? I don't think Vergil has ever bothered making long term plans for his future
He should really work towards paying that due child support
favourite episode/etc
Technically DMC5 by virtue of being the only game that tried fleshing him out in any way. I guess there's also that Visions of V manga but I haven't read it fully
otp
Vergil/Plastic Chair
brotp
He's stuck in Hell with Dante of all people and that's comedy that writes itself
ot3
None
notp
Same as above
best quote
"You will not forget this Devil's power!"
headcanon
Dude probably kept going about displaying the "true power of a son of Sparda" while conceiving Nero

Oh boy, I get to info dump about whatever the fuck That is. *points at Akira's love life*
So the actual decision to ship with Haurchefant actually stemmed from my husband and I fighting over which of our WoLs got to date Aymeric. (It was all in good fun of course haha.) I relented because suddenly I decided to inflict horrible pain and suffering onto Akira. I also decided the moment I decided she would be into Haurch that she also would wait to tell him until it was too late. Because I have a bad habit of being mean to my main characters a lot. So up until my very recent Haurch Lives AU I've been playing with they've always just been a tragedy. This is not to say I never liked Haurch, btw, but Aymeric does ask us over for drinks and he has That Voice. >.>
Hien happened in Stormblood because I was determined to ship Akira with someone and Stormblood was somewhat lacking in options. He's also pretty and we all love a well intentioned himbo. I figured he would be a good place for Akira to start trying to open back up after Haurch. Originally when I had her break up with him right before Shadowbringers I intended for her to get back with him when she returned. That...obviously didn't happen. ^^; Sorry Hien, Shadowbringers just brought in a couple of juggernauts of ship material. That's why he's not on my current ship list.
I did not originally have her get with Emet. He's grown on me over time. Not in the 'I didn't like him and now I do' way, in the 'I liked him and now I love him' way. Originally I was going to have his and her soul's past connection being why her romantic life always seems to never work out, kinda like a darker twist on the soulmates thing where as long as he was around no other relationships would work. I ditched that idea some time ago but it was fun while it lasted. I decided to have them be a thing for a brief time in ShB just because Akira was under a lot of pressure and between being a shard of Azem (we'll get to my Azem), and her past life being the Empress (we'll get to her too), she was just drawn to him in a way she wasn't anyone else. She didn't get it but she had too much to worry about to also worry about that too.
G'raha seemed like a natural fit. It was such an echo of what happened in the Vault, that being able to save him at the end of ShB felt like a redemption. Between that, their former friendship during the CT questline, and everything he'd done for her to save her life and the life of everyone she cared about, it honestly would have been kinda weird if they hadn't gotten together, at least in my personal universe.
Onto my non-Akira characters with ships.
It should be obvious from the fact that I named my Azem Persephone that I always intended to ship her with Hades from the minute we saw the ancient in the light during the Big Cutscene in ShB. And then it was just solidified in the cutscene where we're given the Azem Crystal. And when Endwalker gave us some actual Hyth info, I could not imagine any pair of them without the third. It was the first time I was 100% sold on an OT3 that wasn't intended on being a poly ship in the first place. This is definitely a case of I felt the narrative demanded it even though I also love Hades and Hyth.
Valeria I literally created to be the first Empress of Garlemald and so I made to her to be shipped with Solus rather than the other way around. And in this case I can 100% say it was because I'm slightly obsessed with Emet-Selch. But it also gave another solid reason for Akira to feel inexplicably pulled towards him if one of her past lives (which I headcanon the Empress was) was actually married to him and they had a good relationship (which of course I'm going to make them have because that's a lot more fun for me lol). So Valeria happened as a plot device and self indulgence and I'm totally okay with that lol.
for people who ship their oc with an npc: did you decide to ship them with your OC because they were a favorite character of yours OR because you felt that npc genuinely went well with your OC? I'm really curious!
