Fuck kissing , I need to see two bitches HUG. I need to see them EMBRACE. I want them to hug so tightly and so sweetly , because they never want to separate again, they both fear that when the hug is over, they will never be able to embrace each other again. I want them to throw every emotion they’ve ever felt for each other into that soul cradling hug. I NEED to see them tho blue from the grip, and never, ever let go.

Sooo chapter 2 of Dubious Excerpts from the Chronicles of a Demon (Retired) is taking a bit longer than I thought (on account that it's becoming double the length of the first chapter and I'm seriously thinking of splitting it) so here are some of the excerpt I've written.
Warning, not beta read, may be a bit clunky.
Yes these are all from the same chapter
No I shall not elaborate on how they connect together
Yes the chapter is long enough that I'm confident in sharing this much because there is literally 30+ pages of text at this point and this is a drop in the bucket.
Hopefully it gives you all something to look forward to! :)

Falling on his knees as the smoke ash and fire surrounded him engulfing him and covering everything he could see if the fire wasn't there, he screamed "WHY TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME?" he says as he looks up
"HE WAS EVERYTHING I HAD" he shouted the fire getting stronger
"He was all I ever had" he said as he clutched the books on his feet taking the ones he saw and miracle them in his Bentley, it would be the things he'd show his angel once he came back
Crowley knew he'd come back, he always does. is what he tells himself but in his head he prays…he prays to god prays to her that his angel would find his way back to him
he shouts and screams in his prayers demanding for her to listen to him, just this once let his prayers be heard, somewhere at the back of his head he hears a laugh 'How ironic a demon praying?' but he knows he'd do it all for Aziraphale
all for his angel

so, quick thingy i wrote slightly based on good omens
why would an immortal learn to stop time? unless he wants to delay an end he knows is coming.
a man. he wears black. he touches the sky, it flickers. he touches the space in front of him. it flickers. he touches the ground beneath him. it flickers. he gets up, relieved. it worked.
he looks to his front. a shady clear figure is seen. it’s blurry and seems to move like a person underwater. it gets closer. and closer. and closer. until the man can see who and what it is. he sighs in relief and runs to it. the figure takes a step back. suddenly, his form becomes clear, and we see a man in white clothes, looking at the other one with disappointment and disgust.
“you stopped time.” he says.
“for you” the man in black replies. desperately.
“you stopped time.”
the man in white turns his back and starts walking away from the man in black. the man in black reaches out, but can’t run to him. he falls onto the ground and puts his hands on his heart, like he’s holding a newborn baby with a terminal disease.
“why did such a thing appear in me?”
he can’t rip out his heart. he cries.
“i suppose i’ve become human.”
time stays still. he stopped it, after all. earth doesn’t end. time stays still.
“what will a human do alone at the stillness of time?”
he gets up to find out.

I just rewatched season 2 to make sure i knew what i was talking about
Things i noticed on Good Omens season 2 (probably someone already pointed these out)
- Crowley and Aziraphale interact way less then in season one. We have the side stories from the past, but on the present, they don't appear together as much or talk, which makes miscommunication aspect more noticeble
- this season was much more about Aziraphale's feelings for Crowley, at least to me. In the first season i got the feeling that Crowley liked Aziraphale more, but this one shows Aziraphale just as in love as him
- Metatron was wearing dark grey instead of the usual white/beige/light grey the angels wear. Could this mean that he's evil?? Of course we already know the answer
- there was definitely something in the coffee. Metatron was pushing to much and talking to much about it to not mean anything
- when Metatron said "we call it the second coming" Aziraphale stopped, and to me, he debated on declining the offer but decided that he would go and destroy the system from within
-Aziraphale expression in the elevator seems kinda evil, but i'm still not sure what to think about it
#good omens#good omens season 2#aziraphale#crowley#ineffable husbands#i think the writting is weird but english is not my first language so

I wish to be able to be so great at so many things like Neil Gaiman. The man is such an inspiration.I just listened to his album for the first time and I am amazed. As someone who adores poetry and clasical music its just so wonderfuland, his voice is so rich and pleasant to listen to."The problem with saints" and "bloddy sunrise" are genuinely such incredible songs I added them to multiple playlist . This man can do anything and I can only hope to one day be even partially as successful and creative as he(sry for any mistakes in english)

Dying hurt, and he knew that of course he did he was a demon, he'd been constantly surrounded by death and naturally knew many ways to die
Disincorporation was different, it meant only leaving his material body, dying on the other hand, it had not been something he had experienced
falling, he took it was the closest feeling he'd ever have to death
or at least that was what he thought, as he sat in the driver seat of his Bentley his plants surrounding him and somehow he was back there in Soho in front of the fucking bookshop
why was he here? he'd like an answer to that question too
he looked outside, It was dark now Maggie and Nina were long gone, and the lights inside the bookshop were closed no sign of Muriel inside
he hadn't died he knew that, so why is it that he doesn't feel alive, It's been like that since-...
His grip on the steering wheel tightened and with a shaky but deep breath he opened the car door and went out and onto the bookshop's front door
his hand hovers on the door handle, and he hesitates to look up inside the windows of the bookshop, he knew the only thing he'd find were countless books and bookshelves but somewhere in his mind he hoped that if he looked up he'd see his angel at his desk reading a book, with his reading glasses and his smile
He doesn't look up, his hand falls to his side and he walks back to his car and drives, he doesn't look back he knows he'll end up back here anyway, he feels so little and so much at the same time
if you ask him personally "How many times had you felt human" he'd answer very little he's a demon after all, naturally he'd lie
but if he were, to be honest, he'd felt human ever since he fell, he'd always felt too human, well too much for an immortal anyway
but right now, as he drove away from the only familiar thing that had stayed for more than a millennium, a place that at the very deepest part of his brain was labeled home, and somewhere deeper in his mind he knew It wasn't the place it was the person that lived there
as he drives in the quiet night alone with his thoughts, once again he'd felt too vulnerable, with too many emotions, too human
He hadn't died, but he felt like he did

Hi Neil!!
How our you feeling right now, working on the scripts of Good Omens s3?
It's like the end of an era (Not really cause it will live forvere 💜) finally writting the ending to the story after all this time. So it must be kindda bitter sweet, isn't it?
Will it be hard to let go on working on GO? Or are you happy about it?
🫂💜
(English is not my first language 😬)
Really happy. I promised Terry I'd finish the story. It didn't really occur to me that it would take almost a decade (so far) at the time. I love carrying this beautiful thing, and I will be delighted when it is time to put it down.

William Blake - an introduction for Good Omens fans
I have sent @neil-gaiman an ask regarding his feelings toward the poet/artist William Blake a couple of times, but no doubt due to the size of the poor man's inbox I haven't received a response. So I did a Google search to see if he's spoken about Blake before, and it did indeed come up with a fair few hits. I think you might enjoy seeing this Twitter post if you haven't already, the painting is from William Blake's illustrations to Paradise Lost.
It's not surprising that an author like Neil Gaiman might have an interest in Blake. A visionary from a young age, his imagination was such that he was surrounded by angels made visible in his mind's eye, and he interpreted these visions through poetry, painting and engraving, and self-printed and published many of his own works. This gave him complete freedom to say exactly what he wanted.
Though he had a passionate faith in God, he also had a deep distrust of the church as an institution, and disliked the use of religion as a means of control. This poem from "Songs of Experience" perhaps summarises his feelings best:
"I went to the Garden of Love,
And saw what I never had seen:
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.
And the gates of this Chapel were shut,
And 'Thou shalt not' writ over the door;
So I turn'd to the Garden of Love,
That so many sweet flowers bore.
And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tomb-stones where flowers should be:
And Priests in black gowns, were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars, my joys & desires."
In his poetry there is often an incongruity with the generally accepted religious ideas of what is good and evil, Angel and Demon. In The Marriage of Heaven and Hell (there's a title that should make any GO fan sit up and pay attention) he tells us that "in the book of Job, Milton's Messiah is called Satan", signifying that he feels it is Lucifer/the devil who is the true Messiah of Paradise Lost.
He gives us The Voice of the Devil and Proverbs of Hell, and has Angels being transformed into Demons through enlightenment. He tells us that Jesus broke all of the 10 commandments, yet was still virtuous because he acted according to his own morality rather than rules.
The god-figure of his later works, Urizen, generally comes across as malevolent, seeking to bind and control, whilst Los, the Satan/Messiah figure represents freedom, imagination and creativity.
"Restraining desire" and acting contrary to your own nature seem to be the only real evils for Blake.
He expressed his faith through a love of the world and the beauty in it, summed up in this quote:
"When the Sun rises do you not see a round Disk of fire somewhat like a Guinea? O no no I see an innumerable company of the Heavenly host crying Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty".
He saw "God" in everything, in all the wonders we have around us, and considered writers/poets and religious prophets as essentially the same, since they both have a connection to the divine, and express it through stories.
It's quite ironic that probably his most famous poem, Jerusalem (the one that starts "and did those feet in ancient times walk upon England's mountains green"), was made into a very popular church hymn, yet it is supposed to be satirical in nature. The poem recounts the myth that Jesus may have visited England in his boyhood, and Blake is expressing his disbelief at that notion and the unworthiness of England.
Did I have a point to all this? Mostly to show my hand as a massive Blake nerd, but also to hopefully demonstrate that there's a lot of common ground between his ideas and those expressed in a show/book like Good Omens, and hopefully to inspire some of you who may not be familiar with Blake to seek him out. In particular I'd recommend The Marriage of Heaven and Hell to any and all.
EDIT: I should have thought to include this, here's Michael Sheen reading a Blake poem. I have the CD this is from, he reads several by Blake, as well as other poets I love ❤️ 😍

Elevator thoughts
(This is a quick Good Omens fanfic I wrote while bored in class. It might be terrible; I can't tell but it's my first proper fanfic so please be nice. Also (kinda) season 2 spoilers)
Breath in
Breath out
That was all he had to do
In and out
The flood shuddered beneath him
He clenched his fist
He didn’t dare speak
In and out
He kept his breath steady
What had just happened?
Don’t think about that
Just breath
In and out
The cold white light stung his eyes
How long was the ride up?
Next to him, the Metatron shifted
His eyes darted to the elevator button
He stuffed his hands into his pockets
In and out
This was better
For everyone
This was what he wanted
But not like this supplied the part of his brain he was trying to ignore
In and out
His hands fought against their prisons
He stilled them
It’s his loss
His loss
What had just happened?
What had he just done?
In and out
His breath sounded ragged
He removed his hands from his pockets
He had done the right thing
…
Hadn’t he?
In and out
In and out
He twisted his ring
In and out
The flood shuddered again
In and out
Had the ride-up always taken this long?
In and out
He bit his lip
He could still feel the sensation of his-
In and out
It was worth it
It was worth it
He could fix things
Make them better
Nothing lasts forever
His own words echoed in his mind
They sounded hollow
Fake
He’d believed them when he’d… how long had it been since-
Since-
Since…
He’d forgotten to breath
In and out
In and out
Heaven wanted him back
They cared
They thought he was good
Worthy
They’d forgiven him
They’d offered to forgive Crowley
Crowley
In and out
That name
Unbidden in his mind
Crowley had-
He’d-
In and out
In and out
And Aziraphale had-
He was all-
In and out
Tears pricked his eyes
That wasn’t right
He didn’t cry;
Angels didn’t cry
In and out
Why had he done it?
Nothing lasts forever
But that was the one thing that was meant to
He should have seen it
Known it would happen
But-
In and out
It couldn't end now
They’d been so close
We could've been us
us…
It couldn’t end now
He would do something
Fix it
Make it better
It wasn’t going to end like this
He wouldn’t let it
He breathed in
Ready to talk
Ready to tell the Metatron
Ready to go back-
“LEVEL: HEAVEN”
“Good job Aziraphale; I knew you’d make the right choice”
Aziraphale closed his mouth
He smiled and nodded
Straightened his bowtie
The elevator doors slid open.
