I could make it on time!!

Here is my participation for the Secret Exchange Event organized by the Good Omens Reference Library Discord! I had to do something for @brenna @scullyphile , who said that they liked when Aziraphale and Crowley played with their gender, so I went with a female presentation Aziraphale, and put them in a sort of Regency area winter ball, because... why not!!

I think we can see it as a Happy New Year wishes card^^

Summary: It was the talk of the ton. Notorious scoundrel and most eligible bachelor, Anthony Crowley, had returned from abroad to assume his rightful place as head of the Crowley household following the sudden and unfortunate death of his father, Right Honourable Luke Crowley, Earl of Whickex. It was a Thursday morning over breakfast that Aziraphale, second born son of the esteemed Fell family, heard the news from his older brother, Gabriel.

Excerpt:

It had been almost two years since Aziraphale had last seen Crowley. It was a rowdy gathering at the club just before he went abroad and even then, it was a matter of coincidence Aziraphale had even been there at all. Aziraphale hardly socialised closely with the likes of Anthony Crowley, and made a point of noting his disapproval with disparaging eye rolls whenever the rake regaled other gentlemen with tales of his latest conquests.

Crowley, on the other hand, seemed to delight in trying to get a rise out of Aziraphale and often sought him out, no doubt to test how well he withstood being exposed to someone so vexing. One benefit to having Gabriel as a sibling was that Aziraphale was quite accustomed to simply ignoring such encounters. Nonetheless, the Earl and Aziraphale moved in the same circles and their paths inevitably crossed. In all honesty, Aziraphale should have anticipated that he would one day be having this conversation with his brother.

The pinnacle of my self indulgence, regency era Crowley

Early 19th century sketches have such a distinct quality to them, it's so hard to capture! A sneak peek from the AU I am working on, where a modern-day Aziraphale comes across a trunk of old letters and diaries...

October 24th 1821 Disaster! I must hurry and source a new copy of Pride and Prejudice before my trip back to Oxford, lest Angel notice the incriminating red wine stain marring the inside pages. I cannot say if it is his fury I fear more, or the smug expression he will wear when he realises I have been reading it. November 2nd 1821 Arrived in Oxford today. He knew immediately about the book. How he grinned and crowed about it for an entire afternoon! A dreadful, awful bastard. I love him terribly.
