Just mention something troubling him and ill be like 'noooooooooooooooOOOoo not again UEUEUEU' (knowing damn well this was what i was getting myself into from the start. Like please, kdj cannot have a break it, its as if its a part of his character to secretly be miserable while having everyone around him want nothing more than a genuine smile from him (and it is (basically texbook canon), really.))

Example: I've just read 10 long(ish? I like to read idk whats long anymore TT) chapters of yjh pov just hoping kdj would stop trying to shoulder everything alone, and would stop brushing away his care like it wasnt there.... Ending with yjh finally confronting him (basically in the form of a confession but yknow, theres more going on. it was kinda painful to watch, amen) and kdj just shuting him down like "youre mistaken about your feelings" AND LIKE. MANAGING TO SLIP OUT OF YKH'S LIFE IMMEDIATELY (he ran away #typical)

Now, i know damn well kdj has been hiding many things from yjh. Even yjh knows BUT I KNOW BETTER THAN YJH. BUT EVEN IF I KNOW BETTER, SINCE ITS YJH POV, IM AS IN THE DARK AS HE IS, SO. COOL. But i just know ill be able to fucking sympathise for the squid bastard because when have i ever been able to blame kdj for anything after learning about his side of things (bro is complicated in every universe, but i love him for it UGH)

All of this to say, when the author's note (after kdj fucking being dismissive and withdrawn and running away from #looove&peaace✌️) said "I can't wait to write KDJ's POV. If it crushes everyone, then it'll be a job well done," I GOT TEARY EYED JUST FROM ANTICIPATION. And i know from experience of reading (the)orv(™) and other fics that IF THIS IS WRITTEN WELL (and until now it's been written well enough to my liking /hopeful /pos), I WILL get all emotionnal really quickly and cry at the stupidest thing just because its kim dokja and he deserves the world.

'why is it you and not me?' because of bad luck. because you need to exist for the good luck of someone else to happen. it could have been you; it couldn't be you, because someone had to be you.

but even so. there's an happy ending for secretive plotter. that's a lot.

omg yes I am apart of so many more fandoms, I'm just not sure which one you are apart of. and the reason why I never made any posts on orv is because I have never found anyone who loved yoo joonghyuk as much as I do (also I have never found bottom yjh people ever soooo)

also I will never try to hate on a ship, as long as the shipper does not try to shove it in my face, I will always love the ship and talk about with a genuine interest !

I also lleu's character very underdeveloped and just... unchallenging in general. If lleu was genuinely made to challenge medraut and medrauts temper tantrum was much more reasonable, then maybe I would have liked him. I definitely would've loved medleu had it truly been with 2 developed characters with both having personality (aka medraut meets the standard and lleu does not)

I find the self-cest/spyjh ship extremely intriguing and genuinely so complex, imagine loving another version of you, less experienced, and so so naive. for twp - medraut and goewin really understand each other is what gets me. they both are better suited for the throne than Lleu but cannot take it because society forbids it - goewin because she is a woman and medraut because he is a bastard. they're both failed by Artos' off hands parenting method. they both love and are envious of lleu. goewin is the first to know about medrauts nightmares and scars but does not judge him, and he in turn defends her right to swear fealty in court. "I fear you as little as you fear me" theres mutual trust there.

medlleu is more medraut projecting his Issues onto Lleu. In the first chapter he comes back and quickly becomes devoted to Lleu's safety and comfort in a desperate bid to keep himself occupied and not think about his past two years at Orcades. as goewin tells him - he's come back changed, scarred. he's traumatized and latches on onto the first hint of stability he has, which is lleu.

Lleu is… well I think his childhood of constant sickness really fucked him up. He had no choice but to put his life in medraut’s hands and ‘trust him utterly’ knowing that he could do nothing if medraut decided to hurt him. That’s gotta be tough. All he had were his words, which he said carelessly, unknowing of how much impact and hurt they do medraut. Well, medraut hid it on purpose too. I can't speak on any development he gets in further books, but I’ve come around to his character.

there's interesting friction there, but we only see medraut's extremely biased point of view

i figured he would pop up eventually since the start of the side story came with 'a collaboration with previous works'; that, plus yjh coming to help him in the twatf's additional ending,,,, yeah

the fact that yjh IMMEDIATELY tried to ram through to the 41st worldline upon seeing kdj though. oh dear. oh goodness

ah yeah, jaehwan and yjh were actually shown at the end of part 2 as well. they were just outside of the star stream, facing a veil set up that blocks foreign entities from coming in and affecting the scenarios. yjh had mentioned leaving the star stream for a while, so i guess it was to visit whatever world jaehwan was in?

and, well. yjh can't see through the barrier, but he felt hsy's story disappear. yjh understands what it meant, but he thinks that hsy wouldn't die like that. at this point, if they don't leave soon probability is going to get them, so jaehwan advises they leave. yjh was going to go but he saw a small light under the veil. he then goes and starts trying to get in. grilling himself in the process. jaehwan drags him away before anything worse happens. with that faint light, he had recognized the light of the star that had protected him for so long. and now he is fully convinced kim dokja is down there.

how the hell is lhh supposed to survive now that yjh is zeroed in for his worldline? whatever, that's his problem not mine. good luck hakhyunie!!

I gave ljh a bun because I thought it'd be cute and a way to differentiate between her and 1864th round ljh. Irrelevant to this post but I headcanon him as demigirl and to use any pronouns.

I headcanon knw as non-binary and using they/them, and that they 1) one time somehow managed to burn themself even though they're immune to their own flames, hence the (my bad attempts at drawing) burn marks on their hand, 2) they wear eyeliner and always put it on unevenly (totally not just me screwing up the outlines) and 3) I believe it was canon that they used to cut themselves and hid it under the bandages on their arms, but post-epilogue they get a good support system not just in the other Outer Gods and kdj but also just being in normal society again, making friends, going to therapy (all of them need therapy good luck finding a therapist to explain who'll believe them tho) so they don't wear the bandages anymore 4) piercings

I think all of the Outer God Kings should get eldritch horror forms and I think Uriel's would be a flaming biblically accurate angel with swords, so i gave her two sets of wings to reflect that and also differentiate between her and the Uriel we're more familiar with. I also gave her a braid for the latter reason.

Not much to say about lhs, but I made his hair a bit longer than in the manhwa.

The kkoma is supposed to be 81, but you can't see her namecard from the angle.

SP baked the cake, but everyone else helped decorate it, so it looks a bit wonky (totally not just my messy art lol)

Hsy and Yjh have been friends for years. Their friendship continued through college and initially started bc yjh wanted to develop a game. He found out that hsy knew some basics and could write good stories.

He ended up approaching her and they started making plans. Yjh made concept art for the story hsy had written and they worked on figuring out how they would actually develop their game.

Eventually they finish the game. By this time it has been years and the story and art are detailed, but something goes wrong. Hsy believes it was a corrupted file, but neither of them are sure what really happened.

What they did know, however, is that they ended up in their own game and now they needed to get out without dying at the hands of the queen. Bc of course their luck landed them in the final boss's castle.

They hide and run around to avoid the queen's guards. What they forgot was that the castle itself was alive in a sense. It deemed them to be outsiders, intruders and alerted the guards of their existence.

In a strike of bad luck, some guards spot them and they run. Somehow they end up losing each other and hsy ends up in a room. In that room she meets princess ysa.

Hsy remembers building her character, writing the little details about her and the art yjh made of her. She was beautiful and looked just as deadly as the lava she could wield as a weapon. It was even possible to see the glow of her veins.

She flinched when there's a knock on the door and before she can move, hsy is shoved behind a screen. She can hear the door open and footsteps move through the room.

However, before the footsteps, accompanied by the metal clanking sound of armour, can get close there's a sharp smell similar to that of pepper spray in the air. Hsy is glad she covered her face because the skin on the back of her hands is burning.

She can hear ysa speak and the guard leaves.

The next thing hsy feels are hands on her own which uncover her face to the sweet smile of the princess. She sees a notification screen pop up to the side.

Ysa gives hsy some crucial information without asking any questions.

Hsy is glad, but she realises the pressing urge to find yjh again. He needs to know these things. She is sure these are things they never wrote in detail, which means that there is something about this world they set up that they, as its creators, have no influence over.

Hsy needed to find yjh. He might be in danger.

When they split up to hide, he was the one that drew their attention so she could get to safety. Hsy knew he couldn't be dead, but that might just be empty hope. She prayed to whatever being would listen that he would be safely hidden.

Somehow the two companions end up meeting near the Queen's chambers. They're both shocked and relieved to see the other alive and well.

But they had no time to be happy, the queen was bathing. Hsy had checked that herself. The final boss had been surrounded by servants while she was in the bathtub behind the screen.

While looking for a way out the two had found more party members. They had originally all been under the tyranny of the queen, but they were willing to stand against her considering none of them agreed with the way the queen ruled her kingdom.

They didn't know how the queen found out, but she was chasing them. There was blood dripping from her face, her hair hung in wet strings around her face and over her shoulder as she chased them in her robe. Her huge figure couldn't keep up with their speed and agility and the party members were glad.

The queen tried to go after their party members because they couldn't get hsy and yjh, but somehow (luckily) kept failing.

Suddenly they used their skill. Hsy hated the fact they had come up with that skill the moment she realised it had been used on her. She now had to get off of the palace terrain within a certain timeframe or they would all be doomed. If she made it, they would all be saved. And hopefully she and yjh could go back home. They needed to fix the bugs in this game.

Considering her options in record time, hsy clambered through a window and ran down the stairs. She was glad she had remembered yjh's design for the castle. Right now it was saving all of their lives.

Hsy threw herself over a wall, the party members weren't far behind, they attempted to stall the queen. Hsy checked the timer and sped up, forcing her body towards the houses near the palace.

She was very glad for yjh's decision to give those houses a special defense mechanism to save them from the Queen's tirades.

Hsy fell against one of the houses and saw the party members do the same. Yjh tackled her to the ground and there were green vines that covered the area the moment the queen got a certain distance away. They were saved.

Hsy collapsed fully onto the ground, a relieved laugh as yjh was still holding onto her.

AU Idea: Luck Runs Out

Okay so I don't know if any of you have heard of EPIC: The Musical, a project in development by Jorge Rivera-Herrans or @jayherrans on TikTok (it's an amazing project you should really check it out!) and it's basically a retelling of the Odyssey. So I re-listened to this snippet recently and was like huh I could totally hear this as a conversation between Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk and thus this idea was born.

Basically after Kim Dokja has done something seemingly reckless again, mostly likely scamming, messing with, or pissing off a constellation, and he almost got hurt. Yoo Joonghyuk confronts him asking how much longer he'll act like this and put himself in danger. He is also recalling his past regressions because something hit a nerve about the earlier situation and now he's on edge. He is obviously upset and worried about KDJ and is showing it the only way he knows how by yelling at him about it and not properly communicating. KDJ is mostly brushing it off and telling YJH to trust him. He doesn't see his actions as a bad thing and doesn't really understand YJH and his friends are worried he'll get hurt bc they care about him.

Unfortunately, some bastard constellation hears this and creates either a hidden or sub scenario where they are transported in almost like a video game type set-up (similar to the movie theater dungeon) where you have stats including strength, intelligence, constitution, wisdom, agility, charisma, and luck. All your stats are quantifiable and you run out of one you can't use it anymore. So say I need to lift a car I'd use like 20 strength points to lift and 10 constitution not to f-up my hands and they are subtracted from a total. There are ways to gain points back but either it's hard to do or needs a ridiculous amount of coins or something. The goal is basically to beat the game and get back into the real world but the lower your stats the harder it is and levels get harder as you get closer to the end. It also has a bunch of rules that make it hard. The clear condition if you enter as a team is for everyone to get out safely, or yourself if you're solo.

Basically, KDJ and YJH earlier confrontation is realized, as KDJ literally has to worry about his luck running out before the end of the scenario. Of course he has KimCom to help him but it's ideal not to let any of their stats hit zero because if they do it gets a lot harder. And because the clear condition is all of them getting out safely he can't pull any sacrificing himself or staying behind bullshit. Essentially, I'm trying to force KDJ to trust and rely on his friends more, as well as actually take care of himself. Basically, forcing him to realize he is loved and should take care of himself. I'll probably sprinkle in some Joongdok and Dadja in there too. Some good potential for angst with a happy ending, hijinks and shenanigans, hurt/comfort, and fluff. I'm not 100% where to go with it yet

There is a pause. Lee Gilyoung frowns. Shin Yoosung frowns back.

“What genre do you think our life is,” Lee Gilyoung says. “Because in those kinds of stories, isn’t there a chance of them deciding they can’t live without each other and deciding to get married, but extra?”

“It could work,” Shin Yoosung says defensively. “What, do you have a better idea?”

“I say we should just kill him.”
