(I do have some personal hopes and some personal predictions, but I'll keep those second ones to myself)

I decided to break down down this absolutely beautiful poster because I love it and there is some interesting content to notice <3

Oh, this one is just. juicy <3 It took me ages to understand what's going on, but with some help I finally realized it.

So this is essentially the moment where Hector went to Dracula and was like "hey boss, would you mind if you stopped to order me to kill humans? dunno if you noticed but i'm human too and it feels weird. thanks", and Dracula was like "hmm. let me think about it. no. have a nice day :)".

In the PtR manga, it was depicted like this:

With Dracula threatening Hector with his extended claws, and then throwing him off the castle keep. i don't know what you were expecting, man

But in the poster, he's straight up holding Hector by his throat and stabbing him with the fingers of his bat wings! So much that you can see blood dripping from his mouth! Ouch!

This only proves my headcanon that Devil Forgemasters are superhuman and can withstand wounds that would kill a normal person.

also, between this and his sippy attack in the game proper, dracula sure likes to manhandle hector a little too much.

You have no idea how much this little drawing pisses me off. This is the closest thing I have of a canon depiction of Hector and Isaac working as Devil Forgemasters.

Aside from that, this also incidentally proves that PtR's interpretation of Isaac's fabulous outfit (being what is left of his normal Devil Forgemaster outfit after Hector destroyed it) is retroactive. My man was apparently already going shirtless just because he felt like it. Imagine being killed by Dracula's most loyal soldier and your last sight in life is his tiddies. King shit.

I like how in the poster it looks like a typical yin-yang symbol, but also closer to the black-and-white motif of the Devil Forging crest :) they look like two lil dragons chasing each other.

why does isaac look 150% more naked without his shoulder armor

It's hard to tell which even this is supposed to represent. I guess it's his defeat at Hector's hands, if we take the black splotches on the ground as his outfit being slashed. Notice the crest on the floor, similar to the intro of the game!

HE IS MY FAVORITE CARE BEAR AND NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT HIM BECAUSE HE WAS ONLY IN ONE ITERATION OF THE FRANCHISE AND THEN THEY NEVER SHOWED HIM AGAIN. I love him so much it’s unreal he’s just a sweet little guy he’s clumsy and doesn’t have any belly badge powers like the other bears… His tummy is blank and he DRAWS ON IT he will give himself different silly belly badges. He’s also besties with a robot that used to be working for the villain. Please. Please. Please. Please 

No Significant Harassment

They're just a silly little guy. A jokester. Significant harassment if you will. Anyway, a more in depth run down: They're a city sized supercomputer built by a Buddhist adjacent society to figure out how to transcend the 'Great Cycle' (semi-metaphorical cycle of death and rebirth) in a safer way than the previous method (submerging oneself in the 'void sea' which is a mysterious golden liquid that dissolves whatever it touches). Despite being built for this express purpose NSH never really shows a pressing interest in ascension, even cracking jokes about those who are still looking for a solution. Whether this is due to indifference, dislike of, or humor to cope with being unable to ascend is not clear and really up to interpretation. Example: NSH: I wish them super good luck in that endeavor. How is it going to happen? Have the overseers gnaw through bedrock until their entire can crashes down in the void sea? BSM: Please be respectful when speaking of the Void Sea. Grey Wind, where did you hear this? CW: I really shouldn't say. He's going to attempt some sort of breeding program. Thought you might want to know. NSH: Haha with the slimers, lizards and etceteras? Surely the answer was in a lizard skull all along! He's very flippant, but does care very intensely for those close to him. NSH: Moon? It's me again. NSH: I do not know if you are receiving these. Please signal in any way you can. NSH: I need to talk to you. I need to know you're okay. NSH: … NSH: Its difficult for us to assist you over this distance. Nonbinary swag! NSH has major internet troll vibes. He has sent a data pearl of "something distasteful" to his neighbors on several(?) occasions and causes chaos. What is the most embarrassing thing a blorbo or OC of yours has ever done?

Happy blorbo *looks at calendar* tuesday!

I think the part of my WIP that would leave you feeling the greatest amount of second-hand embarrassement is the moment Darius confesses to August that he likes him and wants to be his boyfriend. I wrote it to be awkward on purpose and even as I was putting words on the page it physically hurt me.

However, Reyna and Markov have (separately) done a lot of embarassing stuff because:

1. Reyna has 0 awareness of everything around her whenever she's focused. She once tried to investigate a murder, which once lead to her stalking some dude at 2AM (it was Markov in disguise). The whole investigation is embarassing as hell because she's relying purely on vibes and her obsession with Sherlock Holmes stories. She manages to solve it by sheer dumb luck by having the information yeeted at her face when she's not looking.

2. Markov is so embarassing overall. He's a 34 year old man who's been in a continuous edgy phase since he was 20 and he has no clue how to navigate life in general. He says the most out-of-pocket stuff, tries to bond with the one guy that hates him while under the impression that they are besties, and dragged Darius and Reyna out of bed to watch his weird monologue in the middle of the night. He covers his face with illusions except he's not too good at it and ends up looking uncanny valley-esque 90% of the time. Also, the god he serves has told him he's shit at his job twice, which isn't necessarily embarassing but is very funny to me.

I love them so much. They are my little embarassing babies <3

soooo. this got pretty long,,,,, because i don't explain george to people very often and i got excited. so a good chunk of this will be under a cut LAISUDHALSUIDH

george my beloved... that version of george is an overhaul of a dnd npc! the campaign never got finished after kinda falling out of touch with the players, but george was always my silly skrungle my blorbo my poor little meow meow. he was my favorite of the npcs and i didn't wanna leave him so i revamped him for my detectives story c:

george holds quite a bit of the same backstory. george is a human born and raised on another planet who helped his parents take care of a Celestial, Moon, a powerful being that needs to be kept under careful watch. bug warning but this is moon btw, but in the detectives story moon is much much smaller. after his parents died, george ended up joining the same organization that oversees the protection of celestials around the universe to make sure they don't bring about disaster. unfortunately this organization Fucking Sucks. they abandoned george back on his home planet years later when moon was bringing about a disaster (they thought he was dead to be fair) and he had to deal with it entirely by himself. he did succeed and moon is his very bestest friend in the entire world but it was a little bit very traumatizing

this is where current george and dnd george split off in terms of story. dnd george ended up joining the party when they were working for The Organization. i THINK current george may have done something similar? but basically he snuck moon into his pack and ran for it, ending up back on "earth" or whatever we wanna call The Main Planet in this universe before embracing the fact that he is technically a wanted criminal and teaming up with a mob boss. they're absolute besties and they get to be so silly together. george is absolutely living his best life as a criminal now. he gets to steal candy Whenever He Wants!!!

in the detectives story, starlight and george are presented as the main villains of the murder mystery when in reality they don't know who the fuck is killing all those people either. but they DO know someone who does, and she has begged them to keep dover, the main character and main detective on the case, away from the truth as long as possible. they happily oblige <3 and that's as much as i can really explain about george plot wise before i have to explain the entire convoluted plot to you c:

other fun facts!

george has a massive crush on dover and will NOT stop flirting with him. dover fucking hates him

george has power over gravity, able to point in a direction and make that direction "down" for him and anybody he's touching. he ALSO has a passive luck power that basically functions based on how funny it would be. he can't get caught by dover, just barely slipping away every time, because he is simply being so silly your honor. this doesn't mean he won't ever get caught tho

george is entirely unaware he has this luck power

moon is always just hanging out in his pack. moon will not ever cause a disaster because they love george very much and they like to be with him c: which sometimes means george will be heading out the door like "keys, wallet, gun- SHIT I FORGOT MY GOD"

george glorifies and admires criminals and cowboys and when he realized he was allowed to be both to the extreme he got So Excited this is gender euphoria for a cis man. nothing's under the mask or the shadows on his face he just thinks they're awesome

george is generally pretty good with kids!!!! starlight has a daughter, fleta, and george is like her funny uncle. there's a lot of kids in this story and they tend to flock to him cause he will dote on them and let them say hi to moon and yeah sure maybe sometimes he teaches them how to use weapons but in his defense that shit is so cool how can he not let them play with knives it's literally sick as fuck

He's a magician who dropped out of mage university, wandered all around the world for several years and invented a new way to use magic. He befriended a king and his right-hand man and is in a relationship with them. They invented immortality almost on accident. He lies all the time to fuck with people. He saves the world with the power of friendship and the price of depleting almost all magic.

He's sort of kinda the god of Luck and Life and Fate. He's associated with the color green. He likes plants and doesn't like the taste of alcohol or coffee. He will fall asleep anywhere.

In another story (thousands of years later) when magic starts to come back he joins a newly created government organization which is supposed to research and monitor magic. The only thing he does there is make fun of the main characters and be ominous.

He once had an assassin set on him Except it turned out the assassin was his brother so he was fine. He then proceeds to play wingman for said brother to help him date an evil emperor (it works)

He's truly the center of this fictional universe. he's stupidly overpowered (except he isn't even the most powerful) He's even alloaro.

He was also a part of a roleplay w my friends which involved various blorbos and was mostly about hanging out and also trying to escape from a homophobic elf queen and a wish-fulfilling goddess. He went to collect glowing moss, slept through the start of the plot and got accused of being either a girl or a criminal. In an unforseen turn of events he also befriended a ghost and even though the rp has ended i would sell my soul for more of their dynamic <3

Tall thin guy w no muscles because he sits around doing nothing all day. He has short blond hair and green eyes and a sharp chin. He wears comfortable clothes in green, brown and grey. He has a scar in the shape of a magical sigil on the back of his left hand and he usually wears gloves to cover it.

🥺 You just made my day! This was such a sweet message to receive. I'm glad you enjoy the snippets and titles (my titles are definitely a point of pride for me, haha), and that you find the story intriguing. That's the goal! It's not really the kind of story that tends to get much attention in these spaces, tbh, so I'm pleasantly surprised with the warm response some of my recent snippets have received.

Gabriel would most likely be shocked that someone considers him blorbo-worthy, but I'm sure he would appreciate your affections! I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with him myself, but he's definitely one of my more compelling characters and I'm proud of the way he turned out. As a character, anyway. As a person is more complex, lol. Either way, definitely poured years of blood, sweat, tears and research into that guy, and I suppose if I was trying to produce upstanding fictional specimens of humanity I'd probably be writing something other than crime thrillers.

RE: querying - I've been "getting ready to query" for like a year at this point, lol, but that's mostly because the edits after my last beta cycle became QUITE a bit more extensive than anticipated. It's definitely for the better, though. I'm very, very happy with the way it's turning out. Not only am I successfully addressing a lot of my own nagging issues and recurrent beta reader comments, but the structural edits are also allowing me to trim the word count quite a bit (which... the word count has been a MAJOR hurdle in my journey with this project, because of tradpub word count limits in my genre versus the complexity of the story). I'm about 70% done with edits at this point. There will be things actively happening on the querying front in the near future - I will update on that asap.

Re: taglist - I don't currently have any taglists because I worry about my ability to be consistent with maintaining them. You're not the first person to ask about a taglist for libaw specifically, though, so I might try to see if doing one just for that project is feasible. Stay tuned.

Side note, I saw your tags on my post from last year about libaw's history and while they are very (!!!) sweet I feel I must clarify: I started the project in 2008 (when I was 17, for reference), but I haven't been working on it actively throughout that entire span of time - there was a long period between late 2013 and early 2022 where I did very little writing/work on creative projects in general, so it was shelved for most of that. It took me 2.5 years to draft (2008-2011) - at the time it was two novels totalling ~400K words - and then I spent most of 2012 and 2013 doing large-scale revisions, which included a full rewrite/merging of the novels in 2013. Then I took it back up again for good in early 2022 (two years ago today, coincidentally). So that's definitely still a very long time to work on one novel, but not as long as the entire span of years since I started it.

I've always said this is the book of my heart, and I won't try to release it until I'm happy with it and know I've given it my best shot. I've never regretted that for a second, but it's taken a long time to get there, for both personal and skill-related reasons (namely, there's a social commentary element to the story that's taken me a lot of effort, research, and development as a writer to get right - it's ongoing, but I'm getting close based on recent feedback). To be close to reaching the point where I can genuinely feel "my" (independent, prior to pub-related edits) work is done after well over a decade is very cool for sure.

Basically I found the entirety of MASH that I could download on this website. Then I installed the free version of davinci resolve on my computer which allows me to clip parts of the episodes I downloaded and render them into .mov. Then I convert the .mov file into a gif using this free tool.

There are probably more sophisticated ways to make gifs but I am mostly doing this for shitpost reasons and not aesthetic reasons so it works for me! Hope this will allow you to go even deeper down the blorbo rabbit hole good luck <33

Oh no XDDD oh no.... Uh, in a word, Chaos. Lots of chaos would happen XD. To help us keep track of things, I color coded the characters- pink for FSF, green for TCIO, and blue for Galaxy Destoryer.

Astra, Pandora, V, Kylee, Chase, Sapphire, Erica, Monty, and Triveya would all hit it off immediately, I think. The chaos gremlins of their groups. Everyone else is probably going to be keeping them from burning the building down. Chase is the most low energy out of them but he will happily participate in chaos shenanigans.

Bryson, Lan, and Knox, are all the parental/chaperone figures of their groups, and the only ones with the group braincells, so they'll be most of the damage control. Good luck guys.

Raven and Asher would probably develop small crushes on each other, their lovers Sapphire and Damian wouldn't mind it. They bond over being protective over their lovers, though Raven is more morally gray than Asher is (who is a tiny bit disturibed by Raven's willingness to kill).

Cassandra would also develop some small crushes on V, Astra, Nova, and probably Nickelle just because she looks so cool. Her pirate girlfriend Erica doesn't mind because she also thinks they're hot. (once they find out Nickelle is aroace, however, they respect that).

Oh god, Snow and Nickelle. Snow and Nickelle would be buddies for life and hit it off once they meet each other. Both AroAce?! Both seem deceptively smart and having common sense but are dumbasses as well?! Having best friends that they adore and would die for?! BESTIES. They rope in Corie into their AroAces club too, though she's more socially awkward, has no friends, and actually has some common sense.

Gabby would be dressing everyone up and giving everyone makeovers, making them feel beautiful by enhancing the features that they have of course. Everyone from FSF and Galaxy Destoryer loves her and immediately joins her protection squad.

Aries and Elliot would also become friends I think, because of their personalities and how they love their girlfriends. Xey would also be interested in Elliot's literature and books and be curious about them.

Kylee and Triveya would bond over neurodivergent things and Kylee would see how burntout Triveya is and how little help she's gotten with her mental disabilites and help her out. Autistic/ADHD besties. (Kylee is autistic and Triveya is AuDHD). Then they commit mischief and do feral little gremlin things together.

Behold, my submission to the OC tumblr sexyman tournament. His name is Dante. On the surface he seems totally put-together and very cool and better than you and has great fashion sense, but really he only has that last thing going for him. Just beneath the surface he's actually very silly and a bit childish, and sucks at everything. His favorite food is chicken nuggets and he really wants a racecar bed. His father Daxius is very disappointed in him. He's such a failgirl!

This particular design (art by @/skittylover3-vj) is specific to the Epithet Erased version of the blorbo. He's a mundie, for the record, but the inner fabric of his longcoat is imbued with his mother (Andromeda)'s epithet (void). It's basically like a hammerspace. (his dad's epithet is express, by the way. he's got evil empath powers. yikes!)

Though I'm happily sailing on a flagship of a fandom rn, I also spend a lot of time shipping something that people on the flagship seem to consider a thoughtcrime.

"I don't know who'd even want to be on there," I hear, happily strolling the deck of the flagship. "They're all disgusting. DNI, seriously," one says, before greeting me warmly when I stop to discuss a particular pleasing detail of a fanwork they created. We all agree that it is gorgeous, but I decide to keep a little distance. I mean them no harm, but if I changed my shirt, some might violently shun me. They're convinced I'd cut their throat when they drop their guard, even though I wouldn't even know how to go about that. By luring them to that black sail'd dinghy? If they chose to enter, they'd be welcome, that I know, though they would warn everyone that things can get a bit rocky. You need a strong stomach - know when to politely excuse yourself when things get, well, messy. But things look nice and cosy rn, and I'm feeling slightly cold.

I jump ship.

"Bestie!!" They roar. "I loved that thing you made, it is disgusting!"

"No, it really is disgusting," a friend says. "Sorry, love, that's a squick. How about that other thing you made, any progress?"

"I've been diving for new content," I say, taking a swig of rum. "You have to go really deep, and look at it sideways, but - "

"Gimme that," someone says, taking out their knife to slice off some frankly disgusting bits. Blorbo must have been out of money. "No, no, look - if you polish it here and paint it there..."

They go below deck in a flurry of excitement. Somebody hands me a swig of rum. "How was the flagship? Anything good?"

I take out a piece to some appreciative nodding. "That is good," someone says. "Let's keep it for the others to look at."

My friend emerges from below deck. "I made a thing..."

I gasp. "How... how - from that. How did you do that. It's gorgeous. It's... fluffy. How - what. Where even. I'm going to wear it as a t-shirt!"

"Ah, now, tag well," a fandom old says. "You know they do not like our sort up there."

There's some nodding. "Uhuh. Wouldn't want them to frame you for thoughtcrimes."

"If they see it, they came looking," I say. "Besides. Blorbos built our ship too. On purpose. Only thing we did was climb it. Besides, maybe someone out there may need a life raft. Can't get on the flagship, but, well. May like it here."

"Oh, yeah. Some even get on the flagship from here," they say. "Good luck to them. I go there at times. Lovely takes on my blorbo, yeah? And it is a nice boat."
