Modern Encanto AU
Holiday chapter 1 The morning
Julieta woke up to her youngest daughter banging on her door and screaming ,
"MAMA WAKE UP "
She turned to her side to face her esposo, he was wide awake but looked like he could fall back asleep any second.
"HURRY UP"
Which was followed by the eldest,
"WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE"
Julieta rolled out of bed , confused , she looked at the calendar. They were going on holiday how could she forget? She then felt a pair of hands on her waist.
" Tino, get your hands off me, we need to get ready."
" I cant be bothered,"
Julieta rolled her eyes and gently removed his hands and walked over to her bathroom and got her make-up out of her bag. As she was putting on her foundation at the corner of her eye she could see her esposo struggling to put on his t-shirt, she couldn't help but chuckle.
Agustin heard her and turned his head and glared at her.He did that until he burst out laughing. After he managed to fit his shirt over his head and got his trousers on he walked out of his bedroom and down to the kitchen where he was greeted by his 3 daughters.
" Good morning pa " Greeted Mirabel
"Morning Mariposa how was your sleep?"
" Not bad, it did take me awhile to get to sleep, I was too excited for today."
" Me too , me too."
" I had a great sleep to ya'know! " interrupted Isabela,
" That's good, how about you Lu?"
" Good "
Agustin turned his back to his daughters and walked over to the stove.
" Whose making pancakes?"
His three daughters turned to face each other.
" Do you mind turning on the stove? I was in the middle of making pancakes last night but got too tired!" Julieta shouted,
"Mhm! " Agustin shouted back.
Agustin tried his best to not burn himself but you know him he did end up burning himself..
" PAPA" The 3 hermanas said in unison.
Julieta heard so she quickly ran down the stairs with her hair half done but she was fully dressed.
" What happene- ay Agustin"
Julieta sighed as she got some bandages from the cupboard and slowly wrapped it around the burn as Agustin yelped.
" Oh sweetheart, when are you going to learn to be more careful?"
Julieta looked at her daughters,
" Where are your suitcases?" She asked.
"Oh"
" I cant believe I forgot to bring mine down.."
" I'll go get them!" Luisa replied as she started running up the stairs and coming down with 3 suitcases.
" So, when are we going to leave?" asked the youngest daughter, Mirabel.
"After breakfast probably" Her father answered flipping a pancake.
" Which would be now"
Everyone went to sit down at the table as Agustin brought the plate of pancakes.
"Help yourselves."
Everyone took at least 2 pancakes. Julieta realised that there wasnt any nutella on the table so she went to go get some, as she was looking for it Isabela snatched one of her pancakes. Mirabel saw this and was about to tell her mother about it but Isabela shushed her. When the mother came back she didnt seem to notice that she now had 1 pancake and the eldest had 3. Mirabel couldnt help but laugh at this.
When it was time to drive to the airport Agustin helped the middle child load the car, at first Julieta wasn't really on board with the thought of Agustin helping, because of the burn. But he managed to load the car in secret.
When everyone got in the car Julieta started the car and got ready to drive 2 hours and bare an excessive amount of traffic ...

I have thoughts about Nightmares and Sueños now that I've finished it.
Spoilers ahead
I have 3 main gripes about the book.
1. Where the hell is Felix? He's brought up a few times, and the wedding is a big deal, but he's not in the story. I feel like the wedding was then a forced thing that didn't need to be included at all if there was no plot point beyond Bruno's prediction of the rain.
2. The people who chase down Alma and Pedro's group are called conquistadors. Twice. They get called the correct thing the last time they're mentioned (Colombian soldiers), so I'm just like ????
3. Half the book is just people having bad vibes. There's nothing concrete to show a problem is happening since I guess cracks were off the table.
The thing is, this has some good bones in it! Like:
The bad guy is the kid of one of the soldiers killed by the magic popping off? Neat. The buy guy is going kind of insane because he's stuck in this magical valley that killed his father and will do anything to get out?
Amazing concept.
The execution though. Eh.
The main point is that Bruno decides to be himself and not pretend to be something he's not at the end. Great message. There's a lot of irony that's woven into the story in that we know he's going into the walls but at least he's staying true to himself.
Bruno is autistic in everything but name in this and it's great to see I think. It shows the damage masking can do. Great!
This would work even better as a Julieta and Agustin story since they get together by the end and are the only ones who have a braincell. Love them being badass and cool.
But it's so disjointed. The narrative repeats itself a lot like the author was trying to meet a word count. (The poison for Kuzco) There's a red herring character that I would have loved to have seen more of and how he interacted with Bruno. They drop some wild stuff about him at the end, and I feel like he dies for nothing beyond a Star Wars the mentor dies thing.
The magic is super vague. I'm fine with Bruno's power evolving and a sand dome doesn't work for a lot of scenes, that's fine but we barely get any Casita and because we can't mark the damage beyond the vibes are off it doesn't seem that much of a big deal.
Beyond Julieta and Gus having the brain cell the best part is Bruno's struggle. I wish there was a little more of the before and it didn't harp so on the wedding which, again, felt forced in.
Overall I'd recommend to a 10-12 year old no matter the gender since there's a little message for everyone in this. It's something a little beefier for them to get into that moves faster. I wish it felt more coherent and the good stuff was fleshed out more. 2.5 ish out of 5.
Like, I know Encanto is for kids, but kids don't need to be spoon-fed things you know. I wish this hadn't the vibes of something I could recommend to the age that Bruno and the triplets are. Encanto has more story baked into it, and I hope we get more. Just maybe handled better.

What if modern times mirabel left to live on her own because the family wasn't helping her and alma was not being a good grandmother like she had a business and alma tried to destroy it but mirabel is a successful content creator and everything like the youtuber sundia love Michelle Reed ect.
Dude, I'm so sorry, I've been thinking of a plot like that for years and now you've awakened the gerbil inside of me. I've been wanting to talk so someone about this so bad and you've given me the excuse.
I've always thought Mirabel would do great in fashion, this can work in both the original setting and modern times.
My headcanon is that Agustin's family, the Rojas' are a family of tailors, his mother was a dressmaker and had a business. Agustin was set to take it over but Alma has this whole thing about Madrigals working for money. She believes that they must work to keep earning their miracle and is afraid that if they don't, they'll lose it. So how the family makes money, and when, and for what are closely monitored by her. Madrigals don't charge for what they do, and that's kind of necessary for making clothes, so Agustin gives that up to marry Julieta.
Sofia, his mother, is hurt by this, but hides it and gives the business over to Valentina (who Mirabel is named after), Agustin's sister. Agustin doesn't have a great relationship with his parents, and they don't talk about stuff. Sofia had Agustin when she was quite young and grew up in the city, coming to the Encanto when Agustin was still a boy. She and Alma had tension, Sofia felt that Alma looked down on her for being a young mother and city folk....she's not wrong.
As the years go by Sofia's frustration grows, Agustin is more Julieta's husband than her son and Alma is the Alpha Grandparent despite the Rojas' efforts. However, she and Mirabel always had a connection, as the girl loved to come by the shop and admire the pretty clothes.
After Antonio's ceremony, Mirabel feels more and more useless. She begs Alma to let her learn a trade, but Alma forbids it without telling her why. Mirabel complains to Tia Valentia who isn't crazy about her job anyway and she and Sofia conspire to have Mira come over to "help out" often. What they're really doing is teaching Mira how to make clothes and run the shop.
Mira starts to spend more time with her extended family and changes over the next 3 years. Her clothes become a reflection of her connection to them as opposed to the Madrigals. And because I think it's funny, she goes through a ridiculous amount of puberty and Isabela is the shortest of the three, so her old clothes don't fit her anyway.
Influenced by Valentia and Sofia, Mira makes her own clothes and they are in line with what's popular in 50's, a la 'Miss Victory Violet' and such
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She expresses herself through eclectic jewelry and changes her glasses often, becoming a little bit of a trendsetter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alma becomes frustrated with this, seeing it as 'tart' and 'ostentatious'. The rest of the family either don't understand why Mirabel is 'acting this way' or why Alma is so against it, so no one's really sure how to stand up for her or if they should at all.
On Mirabel's 18th birthday, the Rojas' give Mirabel the shop and the apartment that's over it. Mirabel announces to the family that she's going to be a dressmaker and Alma is furious that the Rojas' didn't ask her permission about it. (in modern times, this could be Mirabel saying that she wants to get a degree in fashion instead of Accounting, like her father). Mira and Alma argue bitterly about it, both saying things they can't take back before Mirabel snaps and moves out on a whim. Packing up her things and moving into the apartment over the shop.
Mirabel regrets moving out almost immediately but she's too proud to go crawling back, so she toughs it out and realizes she's really at peace. Yes it's quieter than what she's used to and she's always a few months away from financial ruin, but she can finally relax. She doesn't have to constantly explain herself or contend with someone taking out their mood on her.
Alma does attempt to shut Mirabel down a few times, worried that she'll fail and hurt the family image, but Mirabel is really successful and of course, the Rojas' are helping her out.
The shop specializes in Quince dresses and Mirabel's style is akin to Mak Tumang and Sol Peralta

She becomes so popular she gets work outside the Encanto and a bunch of other stuff, but this post is so long already

The designs and info about Luisa’s family!!
Tumblr media
Luissaaaaa!! Luisa is a pretty calm person (thanks to her husband) though with 1 person she is someone else. She doesn’t remember her father at all but every mention of him saddens her up easily. She has a bad relationship with Alma since Mirabel’s disappearance. She’s blaming Alma on it and is always in a fight with her. Luisa is a very kind and good mother, she cares more about her kids than anything she has. Giving birth to her children, julieta, pepa and Bruno was hard, mostly because mirabel wasn’t there, but also because of exhaustion. In her wedding mirabel was there, since she got married way earlier than Isabela. Luisa constantly lives in pressure and guilt, she misses her baby sister very much, her relationship with Isabela is great tough, she can’t handle both of her sisters gone yk?
She often wishes her kids to be closer and not mean to each other because she doesn’t want one of them to be gone one day and the others feeling like she had left. Luis is very thankful to have a husband like Diego, in her teens Diego was her life saver, the only other one than mirabel who could keep her calm. He has the purest heart in Luisa’s mind, she wonders what she would’ve done without him. And she ofc loves her pet birds too!! You can guess who they look like ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Julieta, the oldest triplet, has it the worst of them. She keeps getting pressured which revolves her into forcing herself getting past her own limits. Julieta has many chores daily who take a lot of hard work and time. She gets help sometimes by her father or Tia, she never complains but she tells them that she can do it herself often too cause she fears them being disappointed. Julieta gets bad sleep which makes her get eye bags but she doesn’t want anyone to know, so she hides them with makeup, but because of her lack of sleep she falls asleep anywhere and anytime. Anywhere and anytime literally. The only one who knows about her struggles is her secret boyfriend agustin!! She knows she’s too “young” for love but she never can stop herself from loving him. He cares for her and does everything for her often which is so charming for her, he keeps her up on everything and daily brings her rare flowers he has picked up for her.
Julieta has a bad relationship with her siblings, well, more with pepa. Pepa and her are always fighting, she doesn’t know what pepa has against her but it makes her upset. She’s left out often and bullied by pepa. Her life gets harder with those burdens on her. Bruno is still on okay terms with her but he leaves her out too (mostly because of pepa) and he’s akward to her which makes her feel like she’s boring. Being the “best grandkid” isn’t so great. Also her hair is inspired by isabela’s!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pepa is feisty teenager. She is a mood but it’s not her fault often. Pepa has a lot of free time which she actually doesn’t like that much, she wishes her chores could be more but her gift isn’t that special. She is only friends with 2 people because she is bad with other teens, they either mock her, betray her or straight up do something bad. That’s why she only needs her 2 besties, Bruno and Félix! She loves Félix more than just best friends but she fears that if she steps out of line that she’s gonna destroy her friendship with him so she does everything to keep quiet. Pepa hates julieta with her guts, she hates how julieta gets all the paise, how she gets more chores, more people liking her. She hates everything about her. So she will make it visible.
Pepa is often like an forgotten child who never can find herself, she cares about her looks too much because of others or so that others could at least notice her. Though who she deeply loves are her primo Camilo and Bruno, they both make sure they’re here for her and pepa loves to prank people with his primo or make people scared with his brother very much. She was the one who was the happiest when they found out Dolores was a girl, she always treats Dolores like an little sister and is happy to have her too. She’s also a major daddy’s girl like Dolores used to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bruno who is done with his life is still holding on! He is pretty sassy but not the mean kind. Like his siblings he gets picked on too but his mama makes sure that they stop doing it to them and everyone fears Luisa so they pretty much stop. He only has little chores and he loves his free time, his gift is awful and he hates it often. He spends most of his free time napping or dealing with pepa’ a shit. He loves pepa, but being dragged here from there, the entire time and then needing to be there for her the entire time can be exhausting too. He feels very bad for julieta, he knows about her lack of sleep but he doesn’t say anything. (He’s scared pepa will do something.) Bruno is also the one who remembers the most from their Tia mirabel, he also loves his Tia, and her disappearance broke him a lot.
He feels very targeted by his grandmother but his mom always makes him feel better. He’s very much a mama’s boy like Camilo, he has often a mother-son lunch with Luisa and they just talk about anything. He still loves his dad very much!! He’s great friends with Antonio too! He loves to hang out with Antonio a lot, just finding him cool and chilling mostly. Sometimes he also likes to babysit Dolores, she gives him a lot of peace or never trouble. (His greatest friends are his rats)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Diego my beloved is one of the sweetest man is the Encanto. He is an amazing husband an amazing father. His job is creating class, either if it’s shapes, decorations, plates etc. he wasn’t much of an approval of Alma but that doesn’t stop him from being included in the family. He’s a chubby and short dude so often Luisa picks him up like a teddy bear and carries him around while snuggling him. He makes sure Luisa doesn’t exhaust herself or eats and drinks, the same goes for his kids too. Diego got raised by a single dependented mother, his protectiveness came from her and he wouldn’t hesitate to stand up for his family members.
Diego was good friends with mirabel too, her disappearance makes him feel a bit lonely sometimes but he handles it. (Not really)
Sooo any thoughts about Luisa’s fam fam?

Jake Sully x Villain Daugther reader
“Damn. You really went on and forget about me huh?”
“Who are you?”
“Take a guess…dad.”
“No… it can’t be-“
“You think Quaritch is your nightmare? No. I will be your worst fucking nightmare.”
———
“You think your father is all that huh? A mighty warrior? A hero? A savior? Nah. He’s a pathetic piece of shit who seeks away to get his legs back. He betrayed his entire race and left his daughter to die. He disguised and tricked people to believe he is one of them. Because of him your clan have no home and died. Because of him your grandfather was died. Because of him war broke out. Because of him Grace Agustine is dead. Now? You are force to leave everything that you have ever know behind you. You’re forced to learn and adapt to a new fucking world that you don’t even belong? Just because he is scared to face his war?? To me he is pathetic a coward.”
“…”
“With the blood on his hands..do you still thinks that he’s good?

The Gift - A Bruno x Elena Drabble Letter
Dear Elena,
Growing up, my mother, my sisters, and the Encanto at large all told me the same thing: that my gift was given to me by the miracle from our dad to make our community a stronger and better place to live. I understood that at face value, but nothing I really believed. I get it now, but it took a while for me to realize it, and a longer time to actually see what gift I was actually given. Ironic I can see the future but not put one and two together until the night before our wedding.
I understand that my dad did give me a gift that made our Encanto a better place, but it isn’t what I thought it was.
These gifts my sisters and I got in childhood were gifts for my mother, not for us. We grew up to help her and our community, and that is something I’m sure our father wanted for all of them. Now that we’ve grown, I see the real gifts he bestowed upon me and my siblings. Julieta got Agustin, Pepa got Felix, and now, I have you.
You are my gift from my father to make Encanto a better place.
Thank you for being my gift, and thank you for becoming my wife.
Bruno
A small something I wanted to do for my good friend @prophetic-hijinks on her birthday 🎂💚 I hope you enjoy this quick little letter Bruno would whip up before his wedding to try to prepare for when he goes full sappy on the vows 😘

Big girl gifts and big girl rooms.
The first gifts
Isabela and Dolores are excited to finally get their very own big girl rooms. Both girls had been in the nursery with Luisa who was only a toddler at the time and sometimes didn't understand what Isabela and Lola were doing.
Plus both girls started school in September just after their fifth birthday. They deserved their own room to play and sleep.
Bruno came home the weekend before isabela's birthday and had the month off and could celebrate with his sobrinas. Bruno drove large forty foot supply trucks across the country. This meant he had a sleeper truck and hardly ever came home. He usually made an appearance for birthdays and holidays. Sometimes it wasn't plausible but he tried his best not to miss too much.
Pepa was working on starting a small business between her job as a waitress in the most popular restaurant in town, and being a mom to her daughter and an aunt to her nieces. Julieta was running a small catering business out of their home kitchen which so far had made excellent money. She was always left with large tips for excellent work. Agustin was a carpenter and Felix worked at his brother's outdoor company, usually installing pools and mowing lawns, it made good money so he couldn't complain and Pepa certainly want complaining when her man came home from work all sweaty and hot. She found the sweaty hardworking man attractive usually joining him in the shower before dinner.
The day of Isabela's birthday came and they kept it small, family only. She was showered with love and treated to new toys and dress up costumes. She had her favorite cake, red velvet with chocolate mousse, and she got her bedroom. The door glowing just like the triplets' had five years prior.
"go ahead sweetheart, it's ok." Julieta encouraged
As soon as Isabela touched the doorknob the door glowed and engraved itself with a floral design. Brunos eyes glowed green and yet another message tablet from their father.
"what does the tablet say?" Pepa asked curious to see what their father had to say about Isabela.
"it says, 'to my first born granddaughter, you may not know me but I know you. A beautiful little girl waiting to blossom into amazing things as she grows and learns. Isabela I grant you the gift to help grow plants by simply touching them, and the ability to make blossoms appear in your hands. May you use this gift to help the people you love. Your grandfather, Pedro.'" Bruno read.
"Who? I don't have an abuelo?" Isabela asked.
"You do, he just never got a chance to meet you. He protected me and your mami tia and tio when they were only bebés. Before you were born I came to grace this house for your mami tio and tia, by some miracle after lighting the candle it granted them gifts. Your tio Bruno has the gift to see the future and show small pieces of the past. Every time a new gift is granted he gets a message tablet like the one he read. It is his magic that grants these gifts and even in death he gives us messages so we understand the magic." Alma explains to the child.
"so I will get a gift on my birthday?" Dolores asks
"I believe so. The magic is still new to us so I don't know how it all works just yet," Alma tells.
Regardless Isabela opens her door to see the best bedroom a five year old in 2000 could possibly have. She has a Clifford themed room. It had decals of the large red dog and all his friends on the walls, and everything was themed around Clifford. The bed was made with brand new bed sheets that were Clifford themed with a red blanket that matched everything.
Julieta knew the room would need a facelift in a year or two but indulging her baby with a bedroom themed around her favorite show for her birthday was more important.
Pepa smiled knowing Dolores would love her bedroom just as much as Isabela loved hers.
Three weeks pass and many sleepovers are had in Isabela's new room. Until the day came and it was finally Dolores's birthday. Her new bedroom door glowed with potential, and after a trip to the beach to celebrate Dolores was excited to see what was behind her door.
She touched the knob and watched the engravings swirl around and make sound waves. Then brunos eyes out up in their signature green and a tablet placed in his hand.
"to my second oldest granddaughter, many words describe your wonder but I often describe you as an owl. You have bright eyes to see the potential, and a smile that lights up a room like the sun after a storm. Your gift is the ability to hear even the tiniest of sounds when you need to. May you use this gift to help the people you love, your grandfather, Pedro" Bruno read immediately, knowing if he hesitated he'd be asked what the tablet said.
When Dolores turned the knob she found her room decorated with strawberry shortcake. Just like Isabela's room she had decals of strawberry and all her friends on the walls. Her bed was made with strawberry shortcake sheets and a pink blanket similar to her cousin's.
The room is likely to grow with Dolores at least for a few years but by the time she's 10 her room will need a redo. But like Julieta, Pepa didn't care because her daughters happiness was all that mattered.
Following Dolores's birthday, Julieta announced her third pregnancy.
She knew it was only a matter of time until Pepa announced her own pregnancy since she overheard a conversation between the married couple a few weeks prior.
Not even a month an a half later and Pepa finally announced her pregnancy, and so the cycle begins. Again.
Hope you enjoy ❤️

FIRST VARIATION WHAT DUH❗❗
Cool. So kool. Or not. Idk. I need to post this and stop stalling, I got other asks to do 😭
-----
Mirabel somehow was doing it. She was keeping up with the music. She was on one foot, hopping. Then was the final part. The spinning and turning. She stopped, lifted her leg, and was off. She flew about the stage, keeping her balance. She kept going, she was doing it. Live. In front of all these people. She hadn't tripped or stumbled once during the entire performance.
Her first variation, her solo en pointe, and she was doing great. The had perfected the finishing move, and as the music ended, she huffed, her hands outstretched and her smile wide as she beamed. Her eyes first landed on her abuela, who was in the very front, watching her every move. And she couldn't have looked more proud. She looked more proud than when she first started ballet. And now she had just done her first variation, perfectly, and it was from Abuela's favorite ballet no less.
Was this what having her approval was like? What getting a gift was like? Because if so, all of that practice paid off.
Mirabel then looked towards the two (three if you counted her father) loudest ones in the crowd. They were also in the front; her mamá, Julieta, and her older sister, Luisa. They were both cheering loudly, and Julieta suddenly pulled a bouquet from seemingly nowhere and chucked it directly at Mirabel. The girl easily caught it, having gotten used to her mother and her somehow perfected aim when it came to throwing bouquets. Luisa tried to do this same, missing, but Mirabel still turned around and grabbed it, among the other dozens of roses thrown onto the stage by other people.
Mirabel smiled, trying to wave as her abuela taught her to, but she couldn't hide her excitement. She had started practicing this particular variation around when she first got en pointe. Abuela had said that yes, it was a hard dance, but Mirabel was hard work, and since she practiced every day, she believed the girl could pick it up and do it. Mirabel was naturally light on her feet, so turns and spins weren't even an issue for her. And she did it. And she couldn't have been more happy!
The curtains closed and Mirabel walked to the back of the stage and was immediately met with her family (most of them) standing there. Luisa immediately picked her up, hugging her close.
"You did awesome!" She beaming. Luisa reluctantly let her go, and she was engulfed in a hug by both of her parents.
"You were great mija!" Agustin said, kissing Mirabel. The girl blushed, shaking her head. Sure she had gotten compliments for her dancing, but she never got used to it for some reason.
"You did amazing mi amor," Julieta said. She then went through the routine of checking Mirabel's body for injuries. Mirabel constantly reassured her she was fine, but Julieta couldn't help but worry. After swallowing an arepa, her mother kissed her one last time, whispering about how proud she was before following the others to the main house. Alma waited until they all left and held Mirabel's hands beaming.
"Did I do good abuela? I did all the turns without tripping!" Mirabel said proudly and Alma nodded, holding Mirabel's face in her hands.
"You did amazing. Your first variation, and you did it perfectly," she pulled Mirabel into a hug. "At this rate, you'll be the prima ballerina of the Encanto. I'm so proud of you." Alma said gently. Tears well up in Mirabel's eyes as she heard that.
Sure, she had heard her abuela say that to her before, especially whenever she perfected a ballet move. But hearing it now? On this day? It just felt so much more significant. She buried her face in her abuela's face as she let those words sink in.

(Spoiler alert for the next chapter of Wishing Upon a Miracle by Two Cousins)
Agustin Madrigal: People of Rosas, please listen to me! I understand what King Magnifico did was wrong, but don’t you think that you’re the one who caused him to do this.
You wanted him to grant your wishes when he was keeping them to protect you all as you don’t understand the consequences of those wishes are not always right as you might take advantage of them and its magic. And then, you decided to turn your back on him when he threatened to never grant the wish after Asha brought Star to so she could make all of your wishes to have a chance.
Wishes are beautiful but they can comes with darkness that you don’t know about them, because magic and powers have both sides. Magnifico’s father might have grant someone else’s wish, not knowing that it was a death trap.
‘Be careful what you wish for’, they say. Because someday, they’ll hurt the people you love after your life would be taken.
Magnifico couldn’t grant your wishes as he feared for your safety, they are creative but they would be good if you take responsibility for your actions and your heart.
But then again, you turn your back on him as he was doing this out of love that he promised to his own family he had left! He also wanted to protect the wishes of the things he never be able to have in his life, but you took everything he worked for!
He love to protect you from the danger that you will find yourself in, fearing that you might go through what he been through, he care about the family and friends he has met! But you don’t seems to care about his responsibility or his feelings! You’re the ones who destroyed everything he did for you, you’re the ones who made him go through the forbidden book just to stop the wishes from granted! He became a villain because of you!

Modern Christians are certain that there are good-hearted people whom their God has condemned to Hell for failing to believe.
If so, I’ll be in the company of those whom I prefer.
Conversely, I cannot see how there can there be good-hearted people in Heaven knowing that there are good-hearted people in Hell.
======================================
[No short way to say this, sorry]
Parenthetically, 300 million Eastern Orthodox Christians are of a Faith that rejects eternal torment
They have held for 2,000 years that the term ‘eternal punishment’ is not found in any Hebrew or New Testament Koine Greek versions.
Factually, neither the Apostles in the New Testament; nor Jesus in Mark, Luke, and John; nor any passage in the Hebrew Torah, nor any of the Church leaders/theologians of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th Centuries make any reference to ‘eternal punishment’. (in case you wondered why your Church has never invited any scholar of early Church history to lecture to your congregation).
The Greek Orthodox have also argued since 1054AD against the European Latin-speaking Medieval Church’s cultural misappropriation of the Viking concept of Hell. (‘Misappropriation or ‘hostile takeover’? The Vikings captured the Pope in 1053 and just like that Jesus looked like Thor and the Burining Bush transmogrified into Odin).
The Catholic Church later combined Viking Hell with Dante’s Inferno (a satire of Florentine politics) to create what we in the States now think of as ‘Hell’.
When the European-centric Catholics and Protestants translated the Bible into the European languages they didn’t go to the older Hebrew and Greek texts.
They used the familiar Catholic Church’s Latin Vulgate Bible (a one man mistranslation with ‘additions’ by the Pope’s private Secretary, Jerome, in 386AD).
These modern language versions then all substituted the Catholic word “Hell” for the koine Greek “Hades” (abode of of the dead); for the Aramaic “Gethsemane” (place where Jerusalem burned its trash); Hebrew “Sheol” (grave).
One can compare online the Koine Greek passages with the Latin passages as elk as with any English language Bible passages.
Particularly look at the only passage which describes eternal torment, Matthew 25:46.
Then consider the song and dance that the CatholicChurch has gone through since the Dark Ages to come up with a reason why the father of theology, St Agustine, wrote about a purgatory but not one word about eternal punishment.

One thing I really wish we saw in “Disenchanted”, was Robert and Morgan making up after their big fight. Robert said right afterwards he’s going to check in on her (or something), don’t know if it was to try cheering her up or to further yell at her for calling Giselle “stepmother”. Going back to what you said, it’s not just Morgan’s fault she’s angry about moving. The ending was a missed opportunity to show Robert growing and better understanding his daughter.
Oh yeah it was really outrageous to see the relationship between Robert and Morgan go from good to terrible. Just like her dysfunctional relationship with Giselle, the writers showed nothing in the prequel that justified Morgan becoming more stubborn and rebellious, and that’s what I’m showing in the 10 year prologue of Season 2.
One of the problems Robert had in Disenchanted was that he valued and enabled Giselle’s needs over Morgan’s which makes his relationship worse with his biological daughter. Not just Giselle but she and Robert were being terrible parents to Morgan, before AND after Giselle’s wish and the whole family ignored Infant!Sofie throughout the film which made all 4 of come across to us the audience as not the best nuclear step family at all. With Robert constantly defending Giselle, it makes him a worser father than freaking Alador Blight after his redemption. Heck he and Giselle might be on the same level of terrible parenting as the Blight parents when you see it from a different perspective like I did. That’s one of the things that I hate about sequels in general, your favorite protagonists now come across as bad parents to the next generation. I also hated how Robert was sideline throughout the whole sequel to focus on Morgan and Giselle’s dysfunctional relationship. Also Morgan doesn’t apologize to Giselle in the Climax, because throughout the whole film, Nothing Happens.
That’s why I’ve made Robert the more level headed parent in Tftoml because I want one parent to defend and support Morgan and keep Giselle grounded. I’ve already stated in a previous ask, that’s why Encanto and Turning Red are good movies, is because they’re really good at portraying Dads. Agustin defends Mirabel from Alma’s scolding and Jin supports Mei for who she is. The reason I’ve made Robert the better parent for my fic is that I grew up appreciating my dad over my Mom even though her strictness helped me learn better and not make the same mistakes in life and appreciate her. I’ve said this before, but Robert’s character arc will have him ending up being a better father.
I hope this answers your question @cjbolan I am really busy trying to write out The Fairytale of my life on paper and this will be the last ask I’ll answer for now.

Finally after ages the car moved and they could now get their food.
2 hours 53 minutes later
" Are we there yet-"
"YES" Julieta and Agustin said.

Hello, this is Baron Draxum speaking.
Michael has granted me temporary access to this.. blog the rest of the boys have made for updates.
At this moment in time Michael is resting. I've given him a tonic for sleep, as he has admitted to nightmares as of recent: considering the fact he's been dealing with much as of late it is.. understandable. He's also told me he is currently dating a mutant by the name of Agustin, who is currently here. He reminds me much of.. myself, but less so bent on destroying the human race and more stoic. He has a level head and a quietly kind heart that I know is good for Michael.
As his father, though, I still shall keep an eye on Agustin.
In the meantime I have made sure everyone is kept up-to-date and with that I shall rest myself. Mikey is ensuring Donatello eats and takes his medication - and which I have discovered that my genius of a son has not told me about a woman he is courting.
Hamato Donatello, ensure you speak to me about this girl, I wish to hear about how someone has caught the eye and affections of a reclusive man.

Gluing the broken glass
(Tell me what to do to make it all feel better)
Mirabel had never cooked for such a big fiesta before. No, there were celebrations, often including the whole village. But usually, it didn't have such importance, unlike the gift ceremony. And, obviously, Mirabel hadn't cooked for a one ever before. The last gift ceremony was hers, and no one would know about her wonderful healing abilities that she would get. The other ceremonies that Mirabel lived through were Camilo's and Luisa's, but the latter didn't really count, taking into account that Mirabel was about eight months old at the time. So she was somehow excited. Mirabel made sure to create the best table for tonight.
The old stove sizzled as Mirabel placed another portion to bake, then she ran off to place the aborrajados in a decorative way. It wasn't any normal meal, so arrangements must be appropriate for the occasion. Then Mirabel got back to cooking for a bit; there were still a lot of repast she had to make until the evening.
"Mi amor, how are you doing?" Mirabel looked up and saw her mom standing next to the pedestal table. "It seems like a lot of work..." Mirabel just nodded, not looking up from the dough she was kneading at the moment. "It's good; I should make it in time." She rubbed her hands against her apron before getting back to the kitchener and turning the baked goods over.
"Don't push yourself too hard," Julieta asked, putting her hand on her daughter's shoulder. "I know you want to help, but you have to take care of yourself."
The girl just sighed, looking up at her mother for a bit. "I know, mama, I promise I'm doing great." Maybe she was tired a bit, but the thoughts of Antonio finally getting his door were enough to shave her tiredness off. In a way, this ceremony was way calmer than Mirabel's ten years before, as far as she could remember it. After all, she was the younger sister of a giftless Isabela, so there were questions about her getting a gift, even despite the fact that Luisa already had one. Antonio was in a better position. And, after four gifted grandkids, everyone just assumed that Isabela was a strange mishap, for whatever the reason. Abuela herself had always been saying that Isabela was just like she was. In a way, Mirabel felt bitter. Abuela was spending almost all her attention on Isabela, despite the lack of a gift. And, probably just to add herself even more attention, Isabela was always dressing the same way Abuela did in her youth.
Julieta took a place next to her, now helping with the cooking. Mirabel smiled kindly but still spoke out. "You don't have to help; I can do this." Having somebody to share the work with was a nice feeling, but Mirabel wasn't a child.
"She's right, Mija," Agústin interrupted them. Mirabel looked up at her father and let out an exhausted groan, seeing another dose of swollen bee stings on his face.
"Papi...." She sighed, taking one of her fresh-baked pandebonos and passing it to him.
"No, don't worry, I can take the rest of the menu on myself!" Agustin announced this after he finished his healing. Julieta and Mirabel looked at each other, knowing how bad of an idea this would be.
-
After what seemed to be hours, Julieta managed to convince Mirabel out of the kitchen for ten minutes. She agreed to that, mainly because she wanted to see preparations in her own eyes. The patio was filled with people, decorating it, placing benches for the elderly, and just generally trying to help. Mirabel paced a bit faster, as she saw Isabela with a notebook, she most likely was leading the process again when Abuela got distracted. Honestly, Mirabel didn't want to do this in front of her sister at all. Still, a stinging jealousy pinched her heart. Isabela was most certainly the favorite among the grandkids, despite the lack of a gift. Mirabel never quite understood why. The only thing she actually knew about her big sister is that she was usually with Abuela. And Mirabel had been busy with her cooking, trying to do her best to help.
Her thoughts were drowned in the townspeople's noises, and Mirabel didn't want to get struck with dozens of questions that she couldn't even answer to. So she walked upstairs, where the amount of people was smaller. Casita usually didn't allow outsiders on the second floor. From far away, she could already see Luisa's big figure standing in front of Mirabel's door, covering her carved picture. Noticing Abuela took a bit more time.
"Where's Osvaldo? He promised to deliver the rest of the decor half an hour ago."
Luisa pursed her lips, looking to the side. Her face muscles were strained a little as she filtered out the sound she needed. "He's almost here." She'd finally breathed out, turning her attention back to Abuela.
Their grandmother sighed harshly. "You needed to check on him once he didn't come in time." Mirabel bit her lip awkwardly; she knew that Abuela was strict and always demanded to do their best all the time.  Luisa just nodded wordlessly before turning her attention to her younger sibling, who was standing on the other side of the second floor. "Hermanita, do you need anything?"
Mirabel winced; even she sometimes tended to forget that there was nothing that could hide from Luisa's cat-like hearing.
Abuela looked at her as well, finally noticing the fact that she had been spied on for a while. "Mirabel, why aren't you in the kitchen? You have to prepare for the night." She demanded, now staring at her across the patio. Mirabel looked down, clutching the railing tightly. She didn't mean to get distracted; Mom just wanted to do some cooking as well. "I'm sorry, Abuela; I decided to go out for some fresh air. Mama is replacing me right now." She knew it didn't excuse her, but at least it was some reason to slack off on her chores.
Luisa tilted her head before nodding in confirmation that it was true and that their mom was, in fact, in the kitchen instead of her youngest daughter right now.
For a moment, Mirabel looked down, not looking at her hermana and Abuela. "Is there anyone who would miss the ceremony?" If anyone didn't come, the amount of food would be slightly less, so Mirabel wanted to be sure of who would be at the party.
Luisa bit her lip for a second before replying. "Not as I know about." Mirabel tilted her head from the echoing voice. Why wouldn't Luisa know who wouldn't come? Mirabel was pretty sure Luisa could hear who had mentioned this. On the other hand, there's a chance nobody said it out loud, and Luisa was most certainly unable to listen to the inner thoughts. Well, it seemed that Mirabel would have to make her full plan.
Abuela lifted her head to look over Luisa. "Check if everything is going on time. Tonight must be perfect."
Luisa nodded, just like she always did at any request. "I'm..." Mirabel knew that her sister would most certainly going to say that she was on it, but she had suddenly trail off, wincing before she had covered her ears, hunching over the handrailing.
A moment later, Tía Pepa rushed upstairs like a crazy wind. The floor almost shook from her footsteps. Or it actually did. It was loud enough even for Mirabel to startle for a moment, not even mentioning Luisa, who didn't say anything but looked at Pepa with a face that said that she would gladly rip off Tia's legs to make her quieter.
Tia Pepa muttered in a yelling tone of voice, visibly trembling. "Tonight must be perfect, but if it's not perfect, then..."
"Mi amor, be careful." Tío Felix ran after her.
A second later, Dolores had gotten upstairs too, joining this little family meeting. "Oh, mama, don't worry. Antonio will definitely get the best gift ever." The warm couple looked at their daughter, who waved her head slightly, creating another ark of flowers that wrapped around the barrier. Pepa looked down at her child, now running to her. "Ah, how much did you grow up!" She mumbled in awe, squeezing Dolores' cheek slightly. "Mama, please..."
Mirabel looked at the other side and noticed that Luisa was gone already. Alright, it was probably time for her to get back to work as well. There was a whole night ahead.

SSR: Oscar, Maya, Renata, Estella, Isabelle, Freya, and Lilia
SR: Minako, Ophelia, Riddle, Jade, Drew, Juno, Marian, and Darling
R: Marrin, Jack, Phillipa, Lily, and Ayumu
Tags: @adrianasunderworld @mangacupcake @writing-heiress @marrondrawsalot @anxious-twisted-vampire @abyssthing198 @achy-boo
Concept:
It all starts when Oscar gets a call from one of his sisters reminding him of the festival that’s happening tomorrow. He promised his sisters that he would bring a few friends since they worry about him at NRC. After hanging up he goes to Ramshackle to invite the Prefects. Estella finds him at the door and lets him in. He sees the Prefects sitting down in the lounge and asks them, and Grim, if they would like to visit his home. He goes into further details about the festival, Oruguita Liberta, in which everyone in his town honors the founding woman and her family by lighting candles that turn into butterflies and flutter around in the air. He then asks if they’re willing to go, to which they say yes. He thanks them and goes on to invite Marrin, Riddle, Jade, Jack, and Lilia.
The next day they arrived at the Mirror Chamber and are taken to the Land of Miracles. The town square, Famila Center, is decorated with many butterfly themed decorations and vendors selling their goods. They meet Maya and Reneta, with their friends. After greetings were exchanged the triplets take them to their house so they can put their bags down and get changed into their attire. Grim even gets a bow that’s decorated with butterflies. After they get changed they meet their mom, Alana Maldición. She welcomes her children home and their friends. She tells them they’re free to explore the square for the day but reminds them to be back before sundown. Before they depart, she serves some snacks for her guests as hospitality is very important in the home.
Lily asks why they need to meet back and Reneta explains that they’ll be getting their candles for later. They depart from the house and head back to the square. The triplets take them to a group of statues with a fountain surrounding them. They tell them it’s the Gifted Family, the family who first settled in the area. One by one the triplets go through the family:
The Founder (Alma Madrigal)
The Healing Cook (Julieta Madrigal)
The Concerning Father (Agustin Madrigal)
The Botanical Keeper (Isabela Madrigal)
The Pressure Reliever (Luisa Madrigal)
The Magicless Savior (Maribel Madrigal)
The Tamer of the Weather (Pepa Madrigal)
The Energetic Father (Félix Madrigal)
The Hearer of Secrets (Dolores Madrigal)
The Master of Shifting (Camilo Madrigal)
The Father of Beastaming (Antino Madrigal)
The Seer of the Future (Bruno Madrigal)
As they talk about the family, Oscar mentions that there isn’t much about the Seer of the Future as at one point, people didn’t talk about him for some reason. When asked why, they said that they didn’t know why. After the history lesson, they head to a vendor and try the variety of arepas, a staple food in their home. It’s said that recipe was crafted by the Healing Cook but only her cooking had the power to heal whoever ate it. After she died, the dish was passed down to honor her. Oscar gets a few of them for himself as they’re his favorite food. They also get coffee to drink.
Minako notices the kids drinking the coffee and asks if it’s normal. Maya confirms that it is, but it’s best not to give them too much. After eating they go exploring around the other stands. Grim comes across a puzzle where by connecting the pieces it’ll reveal a secret picture. He gives it a go and the picture is of the Botanical Keeper and Magicless Savior hugging. As they continue roaming around, they find souvenirs for their friends back at school. Riddle is intrigued by the many toys that were based on animals that were with the Father of Beastaming. Lilia is fond of a cloak that can temporarily change your looks to whoever pops into mind. Jack likes the weights with donkeys on them. Jade is fond of the many mushrooms in their terrariums, some said to have been crafted by the Botanical Keeper. Estella likes the butterfly handkerchief she found, and a plush donkey. They also try more local food like coco rice and patacones.
Then they come across a little stage where a variety of creatures very performing shows. Anyone can enter if they wish and Oscar decides to enter and use the rats to put on a telenovela. While he plots out the story the rest of the group goes and captures rats (Twistune here) Once the rats were gathered he rehearses the plot and the show is on. The group were confused by the plot but everyone else loves it. Once sundown hits they all head to the triplets home and get their candles. She also hands them a match saying that turns the candle’s shape into a butterfly.
Alana leads the group to the edge of a river, one that’s incredibly beautiful. They all wade into the shallows and watch the sun fall. Once the moonlight is shining every strikes their match and lights their candles. After a few moments of waiting, and complaining from Grim, they all watch in awe as the candle glows from the inside and transforms into a butterfly. The butterflies take off flying in a circle around everyone in town. As they stand there and watch for a moment they start to hear music. Alana says that part of the tradition is to dance underneath the lights and that’s what they all do. (Twistune here)

The pride in his eyes
1 x 03
The son of an Earl
The officer was a midwingman just recovering from a terrible wound in his abdomen. He had just been promoted to the rank when a boarding party almost captured the capitan of the longwing he was serving. The doctors allowed him to travel home for 2 weeks after he was able to walk without pain and the physician advisedhad light work to get his muscles working and growing. "Not to climb the bloody cliff and get hurt all over again" as the doctors phrase it.
Someone might found curious that Jeremy Rankin knew all of this or condemn how he could insert himself in someone else's business, but he did not have friends to question his interest or care.
Officer Little had really fair skin under the bandages and his untied hair gave him a halo of contrast in his pillow. He did not had a single freckle he coud see from the chair next to the bed, not even in the sunkissed beaky nose, but had a mole in his right tumb. His clothes were of good quality but not as nice as his and had a horrible habit of nail bitting. Rankin was almost sure he was smart and proper but who could tell the character of a laying body.
Rankin was gratefully unsettle by the incident. He was no longer the undesirable in his class, two of his classmates even acknowledge him during lunch and it was almost time for him to finish his "education" and although he had not been asked by any particular captain he was not worried, after all he will be send to a prime dragon in preparation for his future assignation.
It had been almost a week since the accident and 3 days since he had seen officer Little after he disappeared from the infirmary and back to his cuarters. He had not coincide with him in the mess hall, meals or during training. He wondered if he knew it was him who found him. Was he ashamed? Was he grateful? Would he be invited to be part of the crew of the longwing? Just as this thoughs were circling his mind officer Little finally appeared in front of him next to one of the vulgar female captain his father warned him. He straighten his back and corrected his posture and face, however he had just finished his turn with the ground crew so the first impression he could give was a sweaty and dirty one.
"Mister Rankin" he began with a soft but firm voice "I apologize for the lack of proper introduction, I am Agustine Little and this is Capitan Little of Caleum. I have been informed that you not only saved me, but that you suffer great injuries from my fall. I want to express my gratitude for my life and apologize for the troubles I caused. Please let me know anything I can do to begin to repay my debt." after this pretty speach he looked to who Rankin could only fathom his sister as if consulting her on the the property of his speech, hilarious.
"Good day, officer Little, Miss Little" he began " My name is Jeremy Rankin, I am the son of the Earl of Kensington and future capitan of Celeritas. I am happy to be your aqueintance" After all the other boy could not help his relations. "I consider no debt is due as I was only doing my duty and what anyone would do under similar circumstances." and it was true, he would not have considered any other course of action.
The two siblings interchange a look in the rudest fashion and the female captain adress him. "I thank you in a personal manner regardless, my brother is my only living family. Caleum and I have been severly distressed knowing he was severely injured once again." she made a small bow, small talk and left them alone in the middle. The wench had no manners.
"You can call me Agustine" He said to Rankin "I am currently unassigned and you? Who are you serving with?"
"I am not, but I expect the assignation will come any day now"
The deamy expression of Agustine was taken a back and dropping all pretence of formality said "how old are you? Yo should be a runner by now, do you want me to ask my sister? She would be happy to, her enison was killed in Gibraltar and has an opening"
Ranking briefly contemplate the appalling idea of serving under a woman but decided to consider it regardless as the opportunity of serving in a Longwing was no small thing in his future career and it was set.
They spend the walk to his cuarters talking and he could not help to notice how delicate and soft he seem in comparison to his sister. After they separated with the agreement to meet him in an hour for dinner he let himself be satisfied with his path.
He was appointed to Caleum the next morning and went to the longwing clearing to report just to find it empty and after an hour of waiting in anger he went to his instructors to see what had happened. He saw Agustine talking with a well fleshed capitan and continue his way until he found officer Berkeley instructing new cadets in aereal tactics. He patiently waited for him to notice him, but after what he felt an eternity he cleared him throat gaining a scowl as he apparently miss him, he wondered not for the first time if he was longsighted.
"Yes mister Rankin, does Capitan Little require my assistance?"
"She is not in her clearing" he said, going for the direcness of the older man.
To this he scowled even depper and after a few more comments he sent one of the cadets to check with the ground crew. The officer ignored him and continued his boring lesson and when he was almost finishing the cadet returned with another runner and said without missing a beat "Where have you been? The capitan send me twice to look for you"
Rankin was appalled by everyones manners and general appearance and tried his best to show by example the correct behavior, but this was too much.
"I have been in the clearing! I went first thing in the morning! What do you mean by this?"
The boy was in the process of answering when officer Berkeley interrupted them "You two settle and shout your heart outs where I cannot hear you, off you go"
They went in relative silence only making small jabs until he turned into a different clearing that expected and he stood in his place a couple of seconds until Martin said "What are you waiting for? The dragon will not come tl you if that is what you are expecting"
"I was told the longwing clearing is over there" pointing in his confusion.
"Yes, so?" suddenly Martin's face iluminante with comprehension "You did not know Caelum is a Xenica?" he said, to Rankin dismay.
