𓆣Random Gonta Head Cannons𓆣

01.  Despite the fact that Gonta’s hands are large and strong he has a surprising ability to handle anything he grabs rather gently. He gained this ability from his time with bugs and other small creatures that he has handled. Along with that he is generally quite coordinated with his movements. He does, however, occasionally forget his own strength is greater than most humans and that can sometimes lead to incidents.

02.  Gonta’s dressing style would be most similar to that of Light Academia due to the refined look of that style of dress. He also wears fake glasses for this reason, even if his eyesight is far better than the average individuals’.

03.  Gonta has a fear of lightning that was acquired during his time in the forest. His forest family would always hide away during storms, along with the stories that the Reptites would tell him about the effects of lightning on them solidified that fear within him. Because of this fear, Gonta will often avoid being caught out in the open once even the slightest bit of thunder is heard.

04.  Gonta has a small journal that he frequently keeps on his person. It is very crudely organized and contains all sorts of things such as bug descriptions, gentleman tips that he has been given from others or that he has seen on tv, and other miscellaneous information such as friend’s birthdays, beautiful places he finds or just general information he wants to remember. Even though the notebook is a huge mess, Gonta almost always knows where to find what he is looking for.

05.  Gonta is fully aware how often and in what different ways bugs die. This fact of life is something that affects him less now; however there are days where he is plagued with the grief of all the bugs lost. It is on days like these that he finds himself making little tributes to them, sometimes in the form of drawings and other times in the forms of food.

As soon as Gonta mentioned the huge amusement park of Spirale, there was no way Kokichi could wait any longer to check it out as fast as possible. And amusement parks were much more fun together, so if Gonta liked it or not, he would have to accompany him for rest of the day. As soon as the two of them reached their goal location, Kokichi already pulled Gonta on one of his big arms towards some roller coaster.

“C’mooon, Gonta, hurry up! Maan, you’re too slow, I don’t wanna stand in that super long queue for too long, that’s boring! Let’s go check out that wild ride right now! The big loop looks already from down here totally exciting! No worries, I’m sure you will love it just as much as I will!” Honestly, the prankster could already guess that Gonta would be more happy with slow rides, but the more funny the imagination was, of him experiencing something unusual for him for a change. 

“You aren’t scared or somethin’ like that, riiight big guy?”

    Some of the festivities going on seemed much more tolerable than others. Maki would never be caught auditioning for a musical or singing in the chorus. She didn’t like that kind of attention. She could allow herself to look at the ice sculptures in Fibonacci ward, though. Even if she might not be an artist and hold as much appreciation towards them as other people, that didn’t mean she held no respect towards that work. She was no ice sculptor, but she didn’t need to be to see the amount of effort it took to make those.

    One in particular she was currently staring at was shaped like a dog. It did look very detailed, she would admit. Amidst her stroll, she took notice of her classmate. “I wouldn’t have the patience to make these,” a rather odd remark, but it merely slipped out of her mouth. “Not that I wanted to become an ice sculptor. It’s a pretty specific field.” Granted, so was her ultimate talent. Not that it mattered at the moment, though.

“Ah yeah, I wasn’t around too long the last time we met, right?” Rantaro laughed away that sort of awkward bit of conversation before turning his full attention to what the other guy had to say. That being said, the finding of a common ground between himself and bugs when a lot of people seemed to find Gonta’s size and stature intimidating at times was something that Rantaro could really respect. Living was about seeking new perspectives and bettering yourself through means that would enrich your life at the same time, wasn’t it? 

“Yeah, you’re right there. There’s a lot of things that bugs help us with that we don’t really understand or appreciate, huh? That’s a pretty noble reason you got behind it then -- plus enjoying it is just like the cherry on top. I heard from Ouma-kun ‘bout that big insect meet and greet you had with the others too. Hope you don’t mind me prying a little more then, but what do you mean they were your only friends as a boy?” He was curious, but he wouldn’t go beyond what the other person was comfortable with.

I actually have a YouTube channel and I did one of the sense in digimon with kokichi as the digimon emperor and Gonta as wormmon! The only difference is that I made Iroha Nijiue as patamon and kaito as tk. Shuichi as tk makes more sense tho.

He... Wasn’t sure whether to feel at ease and push down that sudden wave of paranoia, or to welcome it wholeheartedly. Sure, before Gonta seemed... Just fine, but now they where in a different setting and... Despite the fact there’d been no announcement of one, Kokichi was almost expecting this to be an elaborate killing game of some sort.

Maybe he was just being paranoid, but the last time he got a nice place to stay.. Well, he ended up dying.

...For now, though, he supposed saying hello woudn’t be too terrible... He’ll just have to keep his guard up, just in case. 

[+ | ;] - “So you made it here too, big guy? And here I was almost worried about you.” He teased slightly. “Anywaaay... Hey, have you seen any bugs around here?” He asked, actually slightly curious.After all, before they hadn’t seen a single bug- aside from Gonta maybe seeing one- so if that was different... Well. That’d ease his paranoia slightly.... Ok maybe he could’ve gone looking for bugs himself, but... Call him shallow, he didn’t want to...

Not like he was going to tell Gonta that, though.

🎂Gonta Birthday Head Cannons🎂

Its the birthday of my favorite man, you know what that means! Time for birthday Head Cannons! =]

01. First of all I think that Gonta is the type to get really excited for his birthday. He would wake up pretty early and tell every person (as well as any bugs and animals) that he would come across that it was his birthday. He just enjoys all the little things about birthdays including just feeling special. This would have been largely because of the fact that he never really got to celebrate birthdays as much in the forest due to the lack of a attention toward time.

02. Gonta gives me the impression that he would not be picky about whatever dessert/cake type that he would have for his birthday. I just feel like Gonta is not very picky about what he eats in general.

03. I know this one kinda goes without saying but I think his friends would most definitely buy him all sorts of bug things. For example the beetle backpack that I've seen floating around or various bug box accessories. Even things like bug food and rope-way supplies.

04. Despite the fact that he didn't really have birthday's with his forest family, he would always make sure to pay them a visit on his birthday and hang out with them for a while.

Ophiuchus and DR

Remember in 2016 when NASA found a new constellation that the Sun passes through every year between November 29th and December 17th?

It's called Ophiuchus aka 'The Snake Bearer' and it's Apollo fighting a guard snake. According to Google, it symbolises the human struggle with various hard stuff like death etc.

Well I was curious so I had a look at which Danganronpa characters would be born under that constellation and it turns out there's two: Himiko Yumeno and Gundham Tanaka.

Honestly, I can't decide if they would care or not. Himiko goes from not caring at all to caring a whole lot about things and I can sort of see her having an identity crisis about a new constellation but also not really? I feel like Tenko would care more just because it's Himiko related.

Regardless if Gundham cared or not, he would make a huge deal about it: either about him being born under the sun constellation and denying it because it's too 'light-side' coded for him or loving that now a constellation he was born under is snake related.

Also, even though its known now that Ophiuchus doesn't change the star signs, there was a theory at the time of Ophiuchus' discovery that 86% of star signs would change so I decided to apply that logic to Danganronpa characters and see how many stayed the same. Turns out, again, only two characters star signs stayed the same using the Ophiuchus model: Chihiro Fujisaki and Chiaki Nanami. They both remain Pisces in both systems.

There's something quite fitting about those characters staying consistent in that way but idk how to write it poetically.

86% of the general population would have changed but 97% of Danganronpa cast would have changed.

Anyway, don't mind me, I'm just hyperfixating funkily again.

How I feel about this character: he's one of my favorite dr characters!

All the people I ship romantically with this character: there are a lot. according to my chart it's kokichi, (kage), maki, kaito, gonta, keebo, ryoma, kaede and maybe korekiyo and himiko but honestly it's all very dependent on the content and context. I could ship any number of game crossover ships too

My non-romantic OTP for this character: uhhhhhhhh… a bro code version of saimota??

My unpopular opinion about this character: give him anger

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: wouldn't it be really interesting if shuichi gained memories of being a traitor? because I think that would be fun

my OTP: saiouma by default but kageshu is my un-guilty pleasure

my crossover ship: shuichi and any of the other protagonists or antags

a headcanon fact: headcanon fact sounds like an oxymoron but my headcanon for shuichi is that he has lucid dreams independent of my weird story

Ya’ll need to realize that Science needs to know basic and complicated Math in order to function. Physics has maths, biology has maths, space has maths, medicine has maths. All professions of Science needs to know Math so that they can do their job. That includes Entomologists.
