She might act like the opposite but she really loves Heisenberg as her little brother. His determination, strength, speed, dexterity, and workaholic nature impresses her, who can't even fit through a doorway. She sometimes wishes she's as short as him too.

She's an avid collector of glass, porcelain, and anything fragile. It's a good reason to always be careful where you tread in her lair. She'll make you swallow every last shard if you don't.

She's an avid romance fanatic and is very loving towards the romance novels she owns. All those books you see in the in-game library? They're her collection of lesbian romances that she's collected over the past decades.

She doesn't like hats and prefers to stick to the one she wears in-game. She DOES have a collection of hats though. Last anyone counted, there were over fifty, one or two for each decade she's lived through.

She files her nails on a constant basis and owns an ornately decorated nail-clipper. Hygeine is of the utmost importance. She doesn't want to be compared to that filthy Heisenberg.

Despite her size and carefulness she keeps losing her stuff. Over the course of a week she could misplace three wine glasses, two reading glasses, and fifteen bottles of wine.

She's an expert at dodgeball and golf and even owns a lifetime access to the most prolific Country Club in Romania. With permission from Mother Miranda she goes there every year for the yearly party. It's one of the times she gets to see modernity (and Ed Sheeran) at its finest.

They love to listen to their mother when she tells them stories. Gotta hand it to 'em, when you're a fly, you know how to enjoy life in its most simple of moments.

They all love being around the hunky Soldats of Uncle Karl. Fortunately, they don't know of the rebellious plan to conquer Miranda.

It gets hard when you're a fly during the summer. If it's not the lizards, spiders, and other predators, it's the heat. Because of this, despite the material waste, they have invented the world's first blood-powered air conditioner.

The three girls have never ever ever touched a stove or oven in their life. They HAVE touched the hot end of an iron though. A good reason to not touch a bloody oven. Alcina has though, but doesn't tell them that.

They love puppies! Uncle Karl brought them a baby labrador. For the rest of the week Alcina had lost quite a bit of favour from them. Not that they minded of course. IT'S A PUPPY.

They don't like snow one bit. Not just because it's cold, but because it's too white. Too bright. Too shiny. They just can't focus on their prey!

They like to go over to Auntie Donna to play with Angie. Well, you know what they say, crazies attract the crazies, and the crazy has attracted the crazies.

They also like to go to Uncle Moreau's because he's the only one in the village with a PS4. Usually they'd spend about three-quarters of a day playing his games and eating his cheese.

Karl Heisenberg

He owns a dark blue armchair named Junkyard. Despite the name, he loves it dearly because it was a gift from Alcina for his twenty-first birthday. It became part of his final transformation too. Right under the hat.

He's a little blind in the right eye, much to his annoyance. It was a minor accident with Sturm; another reason for him to hate the uncontrollable wretch. He'll never live that day down.

Somehow, he sees better in the dark, which is why he wears such tinted glasses. He also wears them to hide his expressions, since, more often than not, he tends to end up wearing his heart on his sleeve, and his emotions in his eyes.

He's under a lot of pressure so it's no surprise that he breaks down in his factory when he knows he's alone. And by break down I mean crumple into an exhausted heap on the floor. Not even his Soldat Jet squad can wake him up until he's had a reasonable eight hours of rest.

He bathes once a day, every evening, but only three times a week. Perfume, tobacco, and cologne keep care of the rest.

He's the only Lord with a daily contact with the outside world due to his electrical abilities. Don't tell Miranda, but he can electrically CONNECT TO GOOGLE AND THE ENTIRE INTERNET IN GENERAL. He likes to play funny YouTube cat videos in his head when Miranda's having a boring meeting. It's also how he finds out that Chris is a boulder-punching asshole.

He does stimming! He likes to tap his fingers on his desk and the metal rails in his factory. He also buys stim toys from the Duke and keeps them in a well-kept box. His favourite is a non-ripping squishable toy duck. He also sings to chill out.

He's absolutely in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, and may have once believed in the pizzeria's existence. Come on, he's a mutated Overlord with magical magnet powers. Children souls stuck inside animatronics isn't too far-fetched of an idea. His favourite characters are the Funtimes and the Scraps, mainly because of the blueprint complexity. He HAS tried to replicate the animatronics in his spare time, but he's usually too busy with his Soldats so the project gets scrapped. He loves The Living Tombstone's songs and remixes though.

He doesn't like William Afton at all (though he marvels at his survivability). William's nature and habits remind him of Mother Miranda. He DOES however enjoy Michael Afton and often thinks how it would be absolutely amazing to have that resilient being in his Soldat army.

He's scared of what lurks below the watery depths and fire. Ironic because his brother is a literal fish and he works in one of the most hazardous fire-conducting environments. He's also scared of heights, though he doesn't get airsick.

He once died due to a killing electric shock whilst working on Sturm. It's the only time he's felt that sort of pulsing agony and also the first time he's had the confirmation that yes, Hell is real and yes, he'll end up in quite a dark pit in it. Or it could've been an electric dream, who knows? Anyways his soul apparently ran towards the opposite direction of the flames and he woke up alive after the passing of FIVE ENTIRE WEEKS. Oh boy did Alcina get worried when she couldn't find him.

Covid golf camp (day 30)

Got my car issues taken care of. Which isn't really golf related other then the fact that's how I get to the course!

With a lot of time spent waiting on those repairs to be done I had an opportunity to post a story to a womens golf Facebook page I belong to:

I've been a part of this Facebook group for a couple of months now and absolutely love it!

The passion and enthusiasm shown from the other women golfers is a wonderful sight to see. Makes me feel like my own "enthusiasm" (or obsession as other seem to label it) isn't so misguided after all.

It reminds of when...( insert reflective harp music here) I first took up the game.

I was somewhat athletic when I was much younger, so when I got volunteered to play after a company sponsored regional managers meeting I gave it a try.

On hole 18 (and down to the last of the dozen balls I bought) I finally found the fairway with the borrowed clubs I was using and then the green on the next shot. I promptly 4 putted but that didn't matter. 2 good ones and I was hooked.

Over the next 10 years I practiced hard and got very serious about my game and got my handicap down to 10. Even managed to shoot a couple rounds under 80!

Personal circumstances forced a change of location from Utah to Orlando, but that was O.K. golf year round! After a 2 year absence from the game I was ready to tee it up again.

Unfortunately, it would be short lived. Just one round.

I would have to wait another 3 years to get at it again. A long battle with an invasive Cancer was my main priority and so I waited until I was healthy enough to try again.

I was able to do that a few months ago and was thrilled to be back out there. After knocking (some) of the rust off my clubs I started rebuilding my game. The first thing I noticed is my greatly reduced club speed and stamina. I can't turn on the ball like once did (getting older and multiple surgeries will do that) so adjusting the way I play (and adjusting my expectations as well) are in order.

I was beginning to slowly replace my state of the art (circa 2005) equipment for something a little more up to date when whole Covid stuff happened.

I have been fortunate enough to make golf practice my job right now while my real job is on hiatus. I'm down to a decent 13.9 handicap and as soon as the world gets back to somewhat normal am having some clubs fitted for me. I'm unusually tall for a woman at 6'4" which was great for Basketball and Volleyball, but not so great for golf.

But of all the things I was looking forward to the most here in Orlando was getting to make new friends. I love the joking, trash talking, rivalries, comrodaries and laughter that happens while playing rounds with the "golf girls" (and the after round refreshments). Reliving the shots, both good and terrible, and knowing others loved the game as much as I did.

Hopefully when it's safe to be social again I can get out and about and find those "golf girls" again to share experiences with.

One night, Rita allows Gera and Carlos to join with her band entourage to a cutting edge club downtown called the Azteca. The boys’ experience, being introduced to the art scene (reminiscent of the Factory), and booze and drugs, and sexual freedom, catches hold and almost overnight they transform into club kids, even as they drift apart. Carlos hooks up with Nico (Mauro Sanchez), the de facto leader of the Azteca artist/drug collective, hanging around their installations and establishing a more androgynous look, while Gera, greatly wounded at his friend’s apparent disavowal, haunts the place desperately wanting to find his own place to fit in. However, as time passed, I was able to push harder for longer without that feeling of gasping for air. While cardio health is one of the main positive physical benefits of cycling, mental health is just as important and dominant within cycling.  

   There is a saying within the fitness community that, while said in various ways, says, “Once you start working out, you will become addicted to it.” That is true for all types of fitness, I believe, but, from my own experience, my addiction to cycling was one of the greatest things that ever happened. Having a physical outlet, especially growing up or in times of trial and need, is exceptionally good for controlling stress levels, managing sleep, and overall positivity.

Cycling does just that for those who embrace the sport and what it can do for them.  In my own experience, if I am stressed about upcoming assignments, exams, or other matters, a solid, hard ride on my bike can leave me feeling positive and empowered to conquer whatever obstacle is in front of me. Additionally, cycling is an intensively difficult sport.

A long, steep climb or a brazenly fast race start all make the muscles scream and plead for mercy. Cycling taught me to push through those barriers, to tell my body to push harder and further, to go faster and get stronger. During my time thus far at the United States Naval Academy, I have been pushed mentally and physically harder than I ever have before.

It was the hardest of rides that taught me to always, always continue, that failure was not an option, and that pain was always temporary. Further, cycling allows for bonding between friends that is hard to find. Going to team practices, organizing rides with friends, or simply evening family rides are some of the fondest memories I have of cycling, and they are what inspire me to continue in the sport. Cycling, in my life, has been the pivotal medium through which I stay positive, push myself beyond all boundaries I had previously established for myself, and establish friendships and bonds that can last a lifetime.  

   Cycling has played an immense role in my life and will continue to do so. The benefits of cycling are truly too many to name in this short essay, but they include both the physical and the mental. Physically, cycling builds the cardiovascular system into a healthy and dominant force within the body, promoting heart and lung health, bone health, defends against heart and lung cancers, and facilitates an overall healthy and active lifestyle effectively.

Mentally, cycling allows for stress relief, positive thinking, mental fortitude, and forms friendships and bonds that are unbreakable. I have found all of these to be true time and time again in my own time and developing a passion for the sport of cycling. I hope that, as cycling continues to grow popularity, more and more individuals will experience the benefits that I have experienced and can continue to pass that on to posterity. An anonymous author once wrote, “You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a bike, and that is pretty close.”

In case you are asking “What is Disc Golf?” Here is a brief description

   As the name implies, it is a cousin to the game of Golf, or Ball Golf (talking with Disc Golfers was the first time I heard the term Ball Golf!).    It is played in rounds with “holes”. Generally, a course is made up of 9 or 18 holes, each with its own Par, or number of shots desired. Instead of using golf clubs and balls aiming for a hole, disc golf players use discs, (just like a Frisbee, but a little higher-tech) and aim for a disc golf basket instead of a hole. Discs come in slightly different sizes and weights. They have the same names and uses as Golf clubs -  Drivers, Midrange and Putters.    The object is, of course, to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws, starting from a tee area and finishing with the disc coming to rest in the basket. So basically, the sport is played using the same general rules, terminology, and etiquette as traditional golf, just without the high cost of playing.

We recently went out to Jackson to check out the Disc Golf campout and Tournament. What a fun day, we learned so much and had a great time visiting with and learning from the participants. They all agreed it is easy to get hooked on this sport. It was so beautiful with the sun shining on the water, the ducks flying in and out and the red cliffs as a backdrop.

Ratings for the first two episodes of the 10-part show were astronomical, proving that there’s plenty of interest in a team from decades past. We were also intrigued—especially by their real estate.

Our interest was initially piqued by the scenes of Jordan kicking back and reminiscing, in what looked to be a massive mansion with an ever-present glass of tequila (?) at his side.

Those glimpses of a relaxed MJ at home prompted us to do a deeper dive into the homes of Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and the rest of the unforgettable squad forged in the fire of “The Last Dance.”

Considered the greatest basketball player ever—perhaps the most influential sports figure of the modern era—Jordan has accumulated an impressive property portfolio befitting his status.

Yet despite his unimpeachable track record on the court, His Airness has met his match in his attempts to sell his massive Illinois mansion.

The superstar’s 7-acre custom estate went up for sale in 2012 for $29 million. Eight years (and a few price slices) later, the mansion is still languishing on the market.

Jordan and his ex-wife, Juanita Jordan, also owned an enormous 8,000-square-foot condo in Chicago. The triplex with amazing lake and city views took up the entire 40th and 41st floors at 1100 North Lake Shore Drive.

The four-bedroom unit also offered a number of luxe amenities, including a rec room, rooftop deck, and of course, a cigar room.

After the couple split, MJ took the mansion and Juanita took the condo. In 2012—right around the time Michael first attempted to sell his mansion—the condo landed on the market for $5 million.

It wound up selling for $3.2 million in June 2014—an apparent bargain, given its location, size, and pedigree.

Jupiter, FL

Sharp-eyed viewers of “Last Dance” noticed that Jordan’s talking-head footage was apparently shot at his custom-built estate in Florida. His property covers 3 acres in the Bear’s Club, a private, gated golf community designed by the golf legend Jack Nicklaus.

Construction on Jordan’s 28,000-square-foot house began in 2010, and was completed a couple of years later. A local agent claimed that the Hall of Famer paid $4.8 million for the land and $7.6 million for construction, and that the home could be the most expensive non-waterfront home in the entire Palm Beach metro.

But for MJ, it’s all about golf and cigars. The 11-bedroom home sits close to the well-manicured greens of the exclusive private club and was reportedly built with a “cigar-friendly” media room.

Park City, UT

It’s fitting that Jordan owns a home in the state where he finished off the “Last Dance” season with a memorable shot that defeated the Utah Jazz in the NBA Finals. He put his mountain modern retreat in Park City, UT, on the market last year for $7.5 million.

He’s willing to take a rare L on this deal—he purchased the five-bedroom home for $7.9 million back in 2007.

No surprise, given his penchant for the links—the 9,574-square-foot residence lies within the gated Glenwild Golf Course community.

Built in 2006, the home has an airy layout, with vaulted ceilings and walls of glass. The spacious interior includes formal living and dining rooms, a den with wet bar, gym, a golf simulator, and a theater with stadium seating.

North Carolina

Once a Tar Heels star, Jordan brought it all back home. Now the billionaire boss of his own NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, he bought a 12,310-square-foot residence in Cornelius, NC, for $2.8 million in 2013.

The estate is right next to Lake Norman and the seventh hole of the Peninsula Golf Club.

Jordan also reportedly owns a condo in the uptown Charlotte highrise The Trust, probably as a crash pad for game nights. It was purchased by a Blackcat LLC that ties back to his business partner, Curtis Polk.

Fort Lauderdale, FL

We’ve covered Pip’s travails in the Sunshine State. The Hall of Fame forward has been trying to sell his Fort Lauderdale mansion since 2010.

The home has bounced on and off the market for years. A decade ago, it was priced at $16 million, and it’s now available for $9.8 million.

The waterfront home was built in 2004, and seems to have everything a deep-pocketed buyer might want: a pool, basketball court, gourmet kitchen, game room, and media room.

Local agents whom we spoke with last year said that while the home was impressive, it was also a bit dated, in an area where buyers have their pick of brand-new options.

The six-time NBA champ also has an Illinois home that he’s been attempting to unload for years. The five-bedroom residence landed on the market in 2016 for $3.1 million. In the years since, it’s had a steady progression of price cuts, to no avail.

The 10,000-square-foot mansion on 2.66 acres was on the market earlier this year for $1.7 million, but the listing recently expired with no sign of a deal in place. The home features an indoor basketball court festooned with the player’s jersey (#33!) on the floor. Other perks include a wine cellar, movie theater, and a pool with a slide.

Pippen purchased the place for $2,225,000 in 2004.

Rancho Santa Fe, CA

In the off-season, Kerr keeps a family home in sunny San Diego County. His five-bedroom home in Southern California is within a golf cart’s ride of Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club.

It was purchased for $3.9 million in 2004, and Kerr has held onto this luxury home throughout the various jobs he has held in his post-playing days, including general manager of the Phoenix Suns and NBA broadcaster for TNT.

San Francisco

Now the championship-winning coach of the Golden State Warriors, Kerr purchased a pricey home in San Francisco‘s posh Presidio Heights neighborhood in 2018 for $7.35 million.

The 4,000-square-foot classic, which dates to the 1920s, offers views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the parkland of the Presidio.

With four bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, and a formal dining room that opens to a patio, the home is situated in a quieter part of town, far from the lively Mission Bay area around the Chase Center, where the Warriors play.

When he was coaching the Bulls on their memorable championship run, the coach lived in Lake County, about 30 miles north of Chicago. His Bannockburn house was purchased for $280,000 in 1988, when he was still just a young assistant coach.

Six rings and a decade later, the five-bedroom home sold in early 1999 for $692,500.

Manhattan

The coach with more rings than he has fingers, Phil Jackson has recently decamped to his home in Montana, where he’s spending time tending his garden.

After being unceremoniously dumped by the New York Knicks in 2017, Jackson placed his two-bedroom midtown Manhattan condo on the market for $4.95 million.

There’s no indication that the luxe unit in the Osborne Building ever changed hands, which probably means that Jackson has a very cool place to crash whenever he’s in the city.

After his acrimonious departure from the Bulls, Jackson headed over to the Los Angeles Lakers and reportedly picked up a home in Marina del Rey, CA, for $1.8 million in 1999.

The Marina-area home has four bedrooms and five baths, in just over 5,000 square feet. With three floors and an elevator, the luxury space includes an open floor plan.

On the top level, the layout features a living room, dining room, kitchen, and family room, along with city and ocean views. The living room opens to a 10-foot deck and fireplace. The master suite also boasts a deck and fireplace.

Dennis Rodman

Orange County, CA

In the 1990s, the NBA star with the multiple piercings and the multicolored hair was known for his preternatural rebounding ability—and his off-court antics.

During that era, the ferocious defender made Newport Beach his home and purchased a duplex. Real estate records show a transaction in 1999 for $500,000.

His agent at the time had his home and office there. As Rodman recounts in his memoir, “I Should Be Dead by Now,” his agent’s presence influenced his purchase. Rodman moved into the top unit, and converted the bottom apartment in the residential neighborhood into a nightclub. 

He dubbed his pad “Club 4809,” after the street number. As he wrote, “When you showed up at Club 4809, better count on an all-night party.”

The lower unit was outfitted with a bar, dance floor, and disco ball. Rodman was known to invite as many as 200 revelers, and to arrive by helicopter.

He claims to have been cited by the police 80 times over his eight years at the notorious residence. The party ended when Rodman sold the building. The multifamily unit last sold in 2005 for $3.9 million, according to realtor.com® records. 

Another former Rodman residence in the Saddle Hill Ranch community in Orange, CA, came on the market in 2018 for $2.35 million. The ranch-style home dating to the 1970s had 5,000 square feet, skylights, and vaulted ceilings.

The rebounding wizard bought it in the 1990s, and owned it for about a year, before selling it for $1.1 million, according to the L.A. Times. 

Rodman, who dishes in the book on his bouts with alcohol abuse, eventually returned to Orange County. He has lived in Huntington Beach and then Newport Beach, the Orange County Register reports.

Jerry Reinsdorf

The 84-year-old owner and chairman of the Chicago Bulls, Jerry Reinsdorf bought the team in 1985 for $16 million. He’s since watched his investment spin into gold, thanks to the six titles of the 1990s. Forbes’ 2020 NBA team value rankings pegs the Bulls current value at $3.2 billion. 

Reinsdorf has also tried to turn a profit in real estate—although the return is meager compared to his ROI on the Bulls.

He and his wife, Martyl, sold a home in affluent Northfield, outside Chicago, for $1.475 million in 2016. They purchased the 4,778-square-foot, contemporary-style house in 1999 for $1.055 million.

The couple also owned a two-story, 4,062-square-foot, home in Chicago’s tony Gold Coast at the time, which they bought in 1991 for $1.3 million, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Other Bulls of note

While the flashiest players bought the flashiest real estate, other members of the “Last Dance” squad have made moves in the housing market.

“The rest of the NBA champions collectively own the priciest real estate portfolio of any Chicago sports team,” the Chicago Tribune reported in 1998.

Three-time NBA champion Toni Kukoc currently serves as special adviser to the Bulls and Reinsdorf. Just as he was making his NBA debut with Chicago in 1993, the Croatian star paid $1,197,000 for a contemporary home in Highland Park.

He retired in 2006 after stating he would suit up only for either the Milwaukee Bucks or the Bulls—because they were close to his Illinois home.

Last year, he and his wife, Renata, placed their 1990s era home on the market for $1.15 million. No buyer took a shot, and the home is currently off market.

The 5,000-square-foot residence features a family room and living room with two-story ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The six-bedroom home also boasts a finished basement with a custom wet bar, an exercise room, and a heated three-car garage.

Former Bulls center Luc Longley spent about $1.2 million in 1996 for a home in Riverwoods, IL. The first Australian ever to play in the NBA, he also won three rings with the Bulls. After a 10-season run in the NBA, he is now the assistant coach for the Australian men’s national basketball team.

After Longley’s house near Perth was destroyed in a fire in 2007, he and his wife, Anna Gare, purchased a warehouse and proceeded to have it converted into a modern abode by Gare’s father, an architect.

In 2015, having found their “paradise” property in the coastal town of Denmark, Western Australia, the two placed the converted warehouse on the market.

Center Bill Wennington signed on with the Bulls in 1993, after playing a couple of seasons in Italy. The 7-foot-tall Canadian served as the backup to Longley.

He also bought Longley’s former home in Lake Forest, IL, in 1995 for $540,000, according to the Chicago Tribune. Over two decades later, he still owns the over 4,700-square-foot home.

Post-playing career, the Canadian Basketball Hall of Famer became a color commentator for the Bulls.

Ron Harper, a five-time NBA champion, won three of those rings with the Bulls. In 1994, while he was with the Bulls, he bought a home in Northbrook, IL, for $610,000, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Last year, Harp made real estate headlines, thanks to the successful sale of a renovated mansion in Bergen County, NJ. The former guard had purchased the place in 2011 for $875,000 and sold it in early 2019 for $1,485,000.

Close to New York City, the 5,100-square-foot space featured four bedrooms, an office with sliding barn doors, and a covered deck off the living space.
