Ace thinks hes the one that adopted Luffy because Luffy plays in His room with His toys

Ace thinks he hates his dad because he went to school once (it was Buggy's idea) and met other children once and Apparently dads are supposed to do things like "bathe" and "help moms with housework" and Roger does neither of those things (Rouge doesn't do housework, Buggy does, Ace hasn't found that connection) so he must be an Awful father. Also Rouge laughs so hard when Ace declares this so he thinks it's perfectly fine.

So he, single parent at six years old, totes Luffy around like a prized stuffed animal and Luffy just loves being carried so he's having the time of his life.

Roger, of course, introduces himself to the baby as 'Gol D. Roger, king of the pirates', and Luffy calls him Goldie. Rouge gets called 'Mom' and Roger thinks its funny but is also jealous his youngest doesn't call him dad - especially after Ace started calling him 'old man'.

Hi! Could you go more in depth about your chimera twin Constantine concept? I really really loved your last comic about it and I'd love to know more about what that means for John and Goldie!

Aah thank you so much!! :') and thanks again for giving me the opportunity to talk about chimera twin Constantine!

So in the comics John is haunted by the ghosts of the people he's wronged and caused to die- but Goldie sticks out as a ghost of his deceased womb twin and is shimmering golden in comparison to the other pale ghosts. Because we've instead interpreted it so that Goldie is a vanishing twin and John absorbed him in the womb, John ended up born with a mix of his and Goldie's genetic makeup! I like to think this connection made it so John's sensitivity to spirits is strong since birth, but it also means anything that affects John's body inadvertently affects Goldie's ghost too.

When John ends up with demon blood in his body, Goldie goes from casually haunting to being more of a poltergeist (being able to move things and levitate objects). Goldie grows a bit of a hunger too. John and Goldie's souls are intertwined, so any demon dealing shenanigans means there's technically two souls to bargain for (something most people don't know, and John uses to his advantage a lot).

I was just reading the chapter where Cale was burning the Black tree during the Xiaolen arc, and I was just here admiring how otherworldly, ethereal, beautiful, magnificent and amazing Cale looked while using the Fire of Destruction ancient power. Until I read Goldie gramps thoughts about how Cale was ruining his own dream of being a slacker! I laughed so hard cus it’s so true! After, Cale finished burning the tree, he sort of explained why he was there, but everyone thought he was a god that was going to save them!! And Eruhaben was so done with Cale’s bs. He was like, “What he said is true, but the way he said it isn’t it!” 🤣😭 poor Goldie gramps, he has to deal with Cale’s shenanigans and get headaches!😭

*The Grace Field kids at each plant share the same surname, the other farms don't **Certain groups of kids adopt the same surname, but it's not based on their farm of origin

My thoughts on this from another post:

Grace or Gracefield feels like it would have too much baggage [for a surname] (unless whatever agency is doing this goes over their heads and does it anyway; the mixed bag of bitterness that could crop up from these people still seeing them as bound to that place when they altered fate to flee it), but I could get behind the kids in each Grace Field plant sharing a surname, Grand Valley kids sharing a surname, and then so on with Glory Bell, Goodwill Ridge, and Lambda. From purely an aesthetic perspective, it's cute thinking of the older kids initially trying to pick out ones for themselves, and then the younger siblings latching onto ones they're picking so they can remain close before they all eventually decide to come to a group decision. A legal one would probably take precedence though. At the very least, I feel the older Grace Field kids would want to ensure they had a say in the future of the younger ones, and this would be an additional layer of claim to that which is conveniently citable. The mass production farms are where it becomes more complicated with each one's size, but for convenience they might opt for this as well. Plus if any child wants to change their name in the future, that's always an option too.

Finally started this Hannukah present for my grandmother. What's funny is when I showed her all the cashmere I got she said "oh are you going to make me something out of it" as a joke but I'd already planned this project :3c

This is 28.6 grams of a cobweb? 100% cashmere yarn knitted on size US 1.5/2.5mm needles. The plan is to knit this edging (taken from this Knit Picks pattern) for as long as I can (probably 28 repeats? each one takes about 0.9 grams of yarn). If my math is right that should be about 4 feet worth of trim. Then Pick up stitches along the straight edge (left side) and swap to the other colour I have (like a goldy warm toned brown) and do some short row shenanigans to get this vaguely crescent shaped.

I'm pretty much yoloing it, I'm just happy to fuck around with this yarn/pattern. The yarn is sooooo soft tho it's kinda annoying to knit, it's so light that having any sort of fan on blows my working strand around. I'm also not used to knitting lace on both the right and wrong side. Again a little annoying because of how thin this yarn is (I've totally given up on p2tog-tbl) but I give it a couple more repeats than normal before it gets boring.

Post-Alissa Goldie trauma includes Sephiroth and Angeal having flashbacks whenever a woman with long brown hair tied up by a scrunchie appears, Genesis is absolutely tired of their shit (he feels excluded).

Genesis: What in Minerva's name are you two running from?

Angeal, slightly out of breath: Woman. Brown hair. Scrunchie.

Sephiroth: Looked just like Alissa Goldie.

Genesis: Oh, NOT THIS AGAIN. Alissa Goldie doesn't exist! You two made her up just to exclude me!
