in reference to this post, i’m gonna have a lax little group set in huntington beach, california and surrounding muses ages 21-45 ( maybe 50.. i’ll tweak soon when i decide ) because older muses deserve a place too !! i’m capping it at ten muns for now and it’ll be moots/friends/vibe check clearance exclusive for maximum comfort for everyone. basic rules and info are as follows:

muses, fcs and muns must be 21+ to be considerate of ages of majority in some parts, and the rule for aging a muse will be +/- 4 years per the fc’s current age.

recent community fuckery has me adding this, smh. if shipping/having romantic connections comes about, do consider the ages of both muse and fc and not indulge in massive age gaps or power imbalances; chemistry is so valid, but we also have to bear in mind the implications of a 30+ year old fc being with a 22 year old fc, especially as 21 is the youngest age accepted.

you can apply with 2 muses with one being gender, body or racially diverse since i’m not about to facilitate a white and cis as fuck environment because there’s no reason in 2023 ?? this goes for every second muse you pick up when additional muses are allowed once things kick off.

Francine's Interview with her dad

My father grew up in a very small house in Ho Chi Minh City. He lived with his 4 other siblings and parents. Since he was the oldest, his job was to take care of his sisters and brother while their parents were away. He enjoyed skipping rocks with his friends at the lake after school and exploring nature. My dad’s meals would consist of porridge and filling rice meals that his mother would cook. His father worked at the white house while his mother was a stay-at-home mom. 

 My dad migrated to the U.S. shortly after the Vietnam War at a very young age. It was a very difficult journey to get to America as they took the trip by boat. My dad and his family got stuck in the Philippines for a month-long. It was a back-breaking passage because his mother just gave birth to his brother shortly before they left Vietnam. They hid in the jungles until some people living there found them and welcomed them into their home for a couple of weeks until they could escape. When they got to America, my dad was very excited to start a new life and he saw that there were a lot of opportunities. Coming there my family thought they were going to be supported by my aunts and uncles that already lived there, but instead, they left my family to figure things out on their own. For a while, they shared one room with another family which was a big struggle for the number of people they had in their own family. My dad has 3 sisters and one brother.

 My dad was about 9 when he got to America and started working with his dad at 13. He followed along and helped with tasks in construction. It was hard for him to balance school as his days in America consisted of going to school and immediately after going to work with his dad. Fast forward to when my dad went to college at Goldenwest College where he met my mom. They accomplished 2 years of school and realized that college wasn’t for them so they sought to build their own business. My father said that they lucked out when he and my mom got into an accident because the money they got from it helped them buy a store to create their flower business. The business was booming and they even had a newspaper about how their shop was the best. My dad and his siblings started to get successful in their careers and were finally were able to feel like they came to America for a purpose because they were no longer struggling and living in one room. My dad has been hard-working all his life so he strived for a good life for himself and for me. As said in the article, “Growing Up Ethnic in America”, “And I have worked here. I have given my hands to this land. Look. Look at these hands”. This quote is relatable to my father because he has worked with his hands all his life. Starting from construction at an early age to fulfilling his career in being a florist. My family slowly became more and more Americanized the longer they lived in California but had a good balance with their cultural roots. In the article “Culture is Ordinary”, it stated, “A culture has two aspects: the known meanings and direction s, which its members are trained to; the new observations and meanings, which are offered and tested”. Cultures are not static but rather dynamic and can evolve over time as new ideas and perspectives emerge. Challenges started to emerge the second my dad migrated to the U.S. such as learning English, adapting to American customs and values, and navigating the challenges of living in a new country.

1: Who spends almost all their money on the other?

Iris learns early on that giving gifts is Lisa’s love language. Which makes it a slight problem that as much as Lisa is spot on about Iris’s taste in shoes, Iris’s morals insist that Lisa return the items to their rightful owners. But there are times when Lisa gets it just right, and despite the price tag, Iris keeps those.

2: Who sleeps in the other’s lap?

Iris huffs when you call her chipmunk, crossing her arms and puffing her cheeks, which only makes you laugh harder. Iris knows you didn’t mean it as insult. But it’s the best analogy to describe the way Iris hoards the covers and curls her body into yours. Her bottom more on your lap than the couch.

3: Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes?

Iris is completely fine with nudity. She even modeled for an art class her sophomore year of college, that’s how fine she is. There’s also the fact that Lisa has an amazing body. like aamaazing. Her years of ballet and ice skating are evident in her strong thighs and the six pack Iris only dreams about having. So when she gets mad at her girlfriend for strutting around naked, it isn’t because she dislikes nudity. What she does dislike is Lisa using nudity to purposely make Barry uncomfortable.

“Hello Allen, didn’t know you were here.” Lisa says as she struts into the kitchen fully nude. Barry quickly adverts his eyes, turning bright red. Iris wants to be stern with Lisa because there’s nothing accidental about it when Iris has Barry over for musical night every Wednesday.

4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway?

Staying up all night is how they met. Iris’s college ID still grants her access to the campus library. Lisa Snart attending night classes.

5: Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them that it’s okay and makes them both cookies?

Lisa smells the smoke from down the hall. When she enters the apartment, Iris is standing on a chair desperately fanning the smoke alarm. “Babe! The stove must be broken?” Lisa tries to hide her smile at her girlfriend’s denial. “I’ve already order pizza.”

7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?

Lisa’s sitting on the edge of the bed when Iris comes back into the bedroom. The leather corset perfectly shaping her body, and Lisa’s favorite leather choker around her neck. Iris West is beautiful.  But when Lisa dresses Iris in her from her own leather, it’s sinful.

16: Which one gives the other their jacket?

It’s the fourth time Lisa Snart sits with you late at night in the library. You’ve already finished the article that you came to work on, but you don’t want your time with Lisa to end yet. “Would you like to come back to mine?” you ask, it’s hard not to blush at your obvious come on. But Lisa doesn’t call you out for it, just smiles and says “Lead the way.”

It’s cold outside, and the long sleeve shirt you wore isn’t any protection. So youre shivering until you feel the weight of a leather jacket over your shoulder, and together you stroll back through the night.

19: How good would your OTP be at parenting?

Iris’s belly is getting to a comical size. She sits on the couch as she tries to read instruction for the crib, but Lisa swears that breaking into a E10 security safe is easier than this. Suddenly it hits her that if she can’t even build a crib for her future daughter, then what kind of Mom is she supposed to be. And the panic courses through quickly, her heart racing until Lisa feels Iris’s hand soft on her cheek. Then Iris softly tilts Lisa’s chin back to look up at her. It’s as though Iris can read her mind, “You will be a wonderful mother.”

22: Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?

You thought you had left this behind when you moved out from Len. Yet here is Iris Ann West, laughing so hard there are tears, over her own joke. “Get it--”, Iris gets out after spurts of laughter, “the golden rule”

25: Which one competes in some sort of activity and which one does the overzealous cheering?

“Iris, please--” Barry says. He has a slight limp as he walks into S.T.A.R labs, “--try not to be so happy your girlfriend kicked my ass.”

A couple flakes of gold still reflect off his Flash suit from where Lisa hit him with her gold gun, “and especially not over the comms.”

26: Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder?

The hardest part about dating a notorious criminal is the inability to post gorgeous photos of her girlfriend all over insta. That doesn’t mean she stops taking photos. Lisa rolls her eyes every time Iris whips out a phone for a selfie. The only time she doesn’t complain, is when she’s already asleep, resting her head on Iris’s shoulder. Those photos are iris’s favorite

30: If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do?

There’s no longer the option to take the vacation to Ibiza. Standing on the porch, a bottle of wine, praying that Joe takes kind to his daughter’s new partner.

Meeting Joe West could either be a great idea or a horrible mistake. But that’s been their entire relationship, and things have been pretty fucking-fantastic so far.

Iris squeezes her hand, smiles up at her. Lisa knocks on the West household door.
