#Imperial or #Metric?

Serious question. When my tools were stolen a couple of years ago here in #Athens I had a @stanleytoolsuk spirit level with measurements on the edge in imperial and metric. I’d had it over 30 years. This really saved time hanging exhibitions especially putting up multiples. Not sure if it’s my age but I always preferred imperial.

Someone told me a paper had been written on the subject of artists preferences. Imperial came out on top especially for painting. Something about it relating to the body. W C I think there is something natural about the ratios

When I had my blocks of #PentelicMarble cut here they were metric,

30x15 a 2:1 ratio. Not sure what I’ll do when I go bigger. Does it matter?
