It is very late and I thought of a question that I really want to ask so here goes: if the survivors of V3 were a part of the hopes peak saga, how do you think they would fit into the world of Danganronpa 21? I understand if you don’t want to answer this because it’s V3 related I’m sorry if it’s not a good question but I think it would be fun to imagine Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko trying to get accustomed to normal life along with the rest of the cast.
Hey, don’t worry! Your question’s just fine, and even if I’m not the biggest fan of V3, I’ll totally answer. I do like some of it, after all!
Shuichi, I think, would absolutely be Kyoko’s apprentice. That’s the number one spot I can see him in a Danganronpa 21 context. After all that he’s been through, he probably thinks that he might be able to do some good with his skills – even despite the feelings he’d had about the job in the past. Unfortunately, I think that means that on certain cases, he’s a bit of a glorified babysitter. Seiko is still the heiress of the Kirigiri family, after all. She needs to help out with cases sometimes as apart of her training.
His relationship to Kyoko is probably pretty weird. I would definitely say it’s in the way of “Kyoko cares about Shuichi, but Shuichi can’t tell”. Seeing someone younger than her, who had survived the same things she had, would probably make her feel a little like she needed to look out for him. I imagine Shuichi would feel somewhat uncomfortable around Kyoko’s cold demeanor, but would try his best to do a good job at her side. Being the one looking after her daughter would probably only add onto that pressure. Still, I think Shuichi would get along with Seiko well enough. She’s an intelligent little girl with a lot of confidence; if anything I imagine she’d be an encouraging presence for him. She’d probably be tugging him along all the time, so eager to work with him and prove to him what she’s capable of. She treats him like a friend and thus Shuichi quite likes her, although her general impishness and disobedience can sometimes make her a bit of a headache for him to deal with.
Honestly, apart from those two, Shuichi probably isn’t close with so many of the others. Like everyone else in the world pretty much, he has no idea that the cast of SDR2 is even really still around. So his connection to them is nonexistent. As for the surviving THH cast, he’s sort of just… friendly. He’s probably only met most of them a couple times, if Kyoko invited him to a party of some kind as a colleague. The people I would say he likes most from this group are likely Aoi and Makoto, as they’re easy to talk to and are generally kind people. In turn, he finds Byakuya and Toko especially challenging to speak with, as Toko tends to assume she’s being insulted and Byakuya is still very much… himself. He doesn’t hold much of an opinion on Yasuhiro, despite his ear being talked off about OOPArts at some gatherings.
Shuichi’s relationships with the children are also probably limited. He knows a lot about Kameyo and Junichi given that they are Seiko’s friends, and she talks about them a lot, but he’s never really seen so much of the kids themselves. When he’s around at one of those social gatherings, the kids are usually off playing somewhere. He doesn’t know and is not close with Sakura, Leon, Natsumi, or Phoenix at all; and he sort of knows Hope and Koichi. For those last two, it’s mostly on account of the fact that they’re Kyoko’s kids. He recognizes their faces from the pictures in his mentor’s office, and talks to them a little bit when they’re around. Definitely sees about of his own insecurity in Koichi, and feels soothed by Hope’s cheerful nature. Sometimes. Other times, it makes him think of Kaede and that just hurts.
______________________
As for Maki, I see her taking some time to reflect on some of the things that she felt during the killing game. If placed in a DR21 context, I could see her using her skills as some sort of peacekeeper. Not necessarily as an assassin, but she could absolutely use them to quell anyone who is trying to disturb the peace. Since the world wouldn’t snap back into a normal state just like that, I could see Maki helping manage despair uprisings in the areas that were struggling a little more to get back on their feet. She would be like a protector of the people, ensuring that those who lived in the harsher parts of the country (and in this specific case, Tokyo) could go about their lives safely and comfortably. Not exactly as a form of law enforcement, but really something along the lines of ensuring that eventually, the country would be able to get back on its feet. I should also note that I don’t see this as something done by Future Foundation. Almost like a civilian-made group, I’m thinking.
I don’t personally see Maki having many relationships with the other Survivors from Trigger Happy Havoc and Goodbye Despair. In terms of the Goodbye Despair cast, she’s likely kept in the dark (like so many others) about what happened with them and often finds herself more comfortable that way. She mostly just wants to deal with things as they come up, for that’s mostly the way she seems to have lived her life. From the Trigger Happy Havoc cast, I imagine she finds the most interaction with people like Kyoko and Byakuya. She interacts with Kyoko more due to the fact that she is frequently made to investigate the happenings in the parts of the city that Maki oversees. Since despair would still be pretty high in some areas, Maki definitely helps her out in getting the details of riots, assaults, murders, all that bad stuff. The two of them have a purely professional relationship, with both of them being pretty cold at first glance, but they admire one another for the work they put into their jobs. Kyoko is regarded by Maki as a respectable woman, while Kyoko regards Maki the same – but with a little added appreciation, as she’s a friend of Shuichi’s. Thus Maki maintains a bit more importance to the detective than she knows.
As for Maki’s relationship with Byakuya, it’s mostly on account of the donations he makes to the relief efforts. While at first she is adamant about her disgust of him (what kind of man says he’s only providing money for aid to ensure that his own life is better?), she finds that she slowly grows to appreciate the contributions he makes to the relief effort. While not particularly caring, he is willing to pledge great sums of money to ensure that the city gets back to its former glory. And if funds are cut, she knows she can count on him to bust in saying that he somehow had some cash to spare – even when she knows he didn’t.
I personally don’t see Maki having any relationships with the children of DR21. Maybe Seiko, if she were briefly brought upon a case, but I think Kyoko would be less likely to bring her daughter on certain cases in rough parts of town. Especially since, for awhile, child kidnappings in the name of despair were pretty common.
______________________
I’m a little boggled on where I’d put Himiko in this timeline. Is it weird of me to say I’d put her somewhere working with children? I mean, a cute, talented magician in a world-in-recovery-post-apocalyptic timeline? She’d be a huge source of comfort for people, especially the little ones who were born into such a confusing and troubling time. I could totally see her being a performer who goes around to schools and businesses and all those places that are slowly returning to their former grace and just absolutely igniting them with joy.
In this case, I think it probably earns her a bit of a reputation — so I think she does have a little more attention from some of the Survivors. Especially considering that out of the six of them, Toko is the only one who doesn’t have a child. I think she’d definitely earn some appreciation from Aoi, Kyoko and Makoto as morale boosters, and who knows, maybe she’d be scheduled to visit Hope’s Peak during its first couple years to cheer everyone up! I like to think that there could even be an aspiring Reserve Class magician who goes to ask her about some of her tricks. As for some of the other Survivors, though, I think Yasuhiro would be unusually mystified by half of the stuff Himiko does — and would come up with these weird theories to how it works. He’d only be right sometimes, but most of the time he’d just be throwing out random theories. I don’t think Himiko is terribly amused by them, and keeps insisting that all of it is just real magic.
As for relationships with the children, I don’t know how well she’d know any of them. Probably just on a surface-level, I think. Acquaintance relationships at most. If she had a favourite amongst the kids, it would probably be Kameyo, as she’s inclined to wholeheartedly believe in things like magic and monsters. Kameyo would probably think that Himiko and her magic tricks are just like, the coolest thing ever and I imagine Himiko probably takes great pleasure in having someone who just so totally loves what she’s doing.
______________________
In a DR21 context, the survivors of V3 would probably each be finding their own way in the changing world. I think one thing’s for certain though, and that’s the fact that they choose to stay together. I sort of picture them with a crappy downtown Tokyo apartment that they share. It’s probably kind of shabby but it’s got two bedrooms and a working bathroom and kitchen, so they don’t mind too much about how it’s not the best. They probably take turns cooking meals for one another, and likely do the same for the household chores. After the events of their killing game, I don’t think they’re anywhere near to being entirely back on their feet yet -- but they’re getting a start, and that’s what matters most.

ARR, of course. How about an angsty or domestic (what you're feeling up to write! no pressure :3 ) ficlet for Oji and Aoi?
This got a little on the long side, but I hope you enjoy!
CW: Mentions of self harm, suicidal tendencies, and loss.
No major character death
Oji had been around for awhile. Over the past century he had loved and cared for many, while also losing the same people. Different reasons for all of them. War, hunger, sickness, or even just age had taken them.
But none of that had prepared him for this long night..
~~~
Oji breathed out the last of his smoke. To most people it was a quiet evening, but something felt off. As if there was an unknown danger.
“He’ll be fine.” Oji muttered to himself. Kuro had decided that Aoi had spent too much time cooped up in Raccord, so needed to join himself and Futaba out on patrol. So it was the three of them keeping an eye out for any unwelcome wraiths. Of course Oji had to keep reminding himself that both lads were capable fighters, perfectly capable of handling themselves. And not only could Futaba purify the wraiths, but with the help of the others she was becoming quite a scrapper.
As young as the group was, they were perfectly capable. Or so he thought.
Just as he turned around to go inside, he could hear their voices.
“Just a little bit longer, okay? We’re almost at Raccord. Then you can scold Oji!” Kuro’s voice could be heard, in a panic.
“Kuro, he’s not responding.” Was Futaba’s. Oji’s heart sank. No. He immediately went towards the voices, only keeping enough of his eyes open to see any other danger. He didn’t need to see this before he was there. He needed to hope it wasn’t too bad.
“Oji!” Futaba’s voice was grateful to see him. Oji could feel his heart in his mouth. Kuro and Futaba were supporting Aoi, an arm around each one. Oji slowly opened his other eyes more, allowing him to see more clearly in the darkness. He could now see a headwound still bleeding. Given the bruises on the parts of Aoi’s neck he could see, Oji knew that the blood on Kuro’s hand, that was against Aoi’s neck, was not the lad’s, but Aoi’s. In the moonlight, his surrogate son was paler than ever before.
Oji strode over to the two and swiftly scooped up the lad, being careful to put his hand where Kuro had his.
“Oji, your back!” Kuro shouted. Oji just looked at Aoi. Still breathing. There was still time.
“I’ll be fine. Raccord isn’t far. I’ll take over from here, you two can run along.” He said, hating this more and more. Particularly since Aoi was far lighter than Oji expected. Perhaps his memory was faltering, but Aoi didn’t feel much heavier than he did a few years ago.
“No! We’re staying by his side.” Futaba stated.
“We’re not leaving him again.” Kuro affirmed.
“Fine, fine.” Oji said, as he quickly walked back to Raccord. Normally he would engage in banter, or question what was meant by again, but not now. Not while Aoi’s life was in the balance. And for how long?
The walk to Raccord was short, but felt far too long. With every step, Oji wondered if Aoi would breathe his last. By the time they had gotten inside, Oji did something he hadn’t done in years. Barked orders.
“Kuro, get bandages.”
“On it!” Kuro ran off to where Aoi had stored all their medical supplies.
“Futaba, two buckets of water. One normal, and a smaller one with a little bit of salt added to it. Clothes for the normal bucket, drinking ladle for the smaller one.”
“Salt? If you say so!” She said, and ran off to the kitchen. Oji took Aoi to their main living space, and rested the lad on cushions, keeping pressure on the neck wound.
“You will live.” Oji stated. He wouldn’t lose another person. Especially one so young.
Kuro quickly came back with the bandages, followed by Futaba with the water buckets. Both young adults put the items next to Oji.
“Just watch.” He said. He wasn’t some monk, turning every little event into a lesson, but it seems neither one knew anything about field medicine. Which after this, was gonna change.
For now, he carefully washed around the neck wound, quickly washed the wound itself, then swiftly wrapped a firm, but not too tight bandage around Aoi’s neck. Oji was careful to make sure Aoi still had room to breathe. He then found the source of the head wound, now bleeding sluggishly. Oji did the same, cleaned the area, then bandaged it.
“Kuro, hand me the blankets in the corner.” He said. Kuro nodded, and handed the spare blankets Oji kept there, as colder nights were upon them. He carefully placed them over Aoi, being careful to not put too much weight on him.
“Now what?” Futaba asked.
Oji sighed, and looked at the two terrified youngsters. “Now. We wait. If he comes back to consciousness, then he’ll get some salt water before he likely goes back under again.”
“Salt water?” Kuro asked.
“Salt water. Helps the body more. Not too much though. Too much dries it up.” Oji desperately wanted another cigarette, but he wasn’t going to smoke near Aoi, especially in this condition. “Now. Would one of you like to tell me what was meant by abandoning him again?”
He could tell he was frightening them by dropping the silly old man act. Given his son was close to death’s doorstep, he didn’t care.
Futaba looked down. “We were ambushed by a bunch of wraiths. Aoi said he’d draw some of them off, so he shot at some then started running down streets. We didn’t get a chance to object. We defeated the remaining wraiths, but by the time we got to Aoi, a wraith had pinned him down. He wasn’t even fighting back. We…We killed the wraith, then immediately came here. I’m sorry Oji-san. We should have stayed near him.”
Kuro nodded. “I’m sorry too. We should have been at his side.”
Oji sighed once more. This was all starting to paint a picture he wasn’t liking. This wasn’t the first time Aoi had jumped into danger. Oji just figured it was him being a rash teenager. But it had happened more and more. Sure, boys do all sorts of idiotic things for the women they loved, and Aoi couldn’t be less obvious about his adoration for Futaba, but what was the line between recklessness, and self harm? Oji realized Kuro and Futaba were still waiting on a response from him.
“I’m not the one you should apologizing to. Not that it’s your fault. Someone made the decision to go off on his own, and it wasn’t you two.” Oji said. Kuro and Futaba both nodded, neither one quite believing Oji, but letting it go for now.
~~~
Hours later, both Kuro and Futaba were curled up on the floor, asleep. Oji had placed a blanket over each of them, and even gave Kuro a pillow to hold in the youth’s sleep. Of course Oji would deny doing such a thing in the morning. Besides, there were better times for Futaba to learn how clingy Kuro got in sleep.
He still remained awake, watching over Aoi. His son’s breathing slowly became less rapid, more regular. His lips were still blue from the blood loss, but pink was starting to return.
“Ngh.” Aoi muttered. Oji snapped to attention. Aoi’s eyes fluttered for a moment, then opened. They were glazed over, but they were focusing on Oji’s face. Good. “Oji-san?”
“I’m here.” Oji said, his voice breaking a little on here. He’d watched so many friends die on battlefields and in medic’s tents, he was glad his son was making it. He reached over to the salted water bucket, and lifted the drinking ladle. “I need you to drink.”
“No’ thirs’y.” Aoi said, his cracked voice betraying his body’s need.
“Just a little bit, I’ll support you.” Oji said, lifting up Aoi’s and resting the lad’s head on his arm. With his other hand he slowly gave Aoi the water. “Easy, go easy on it. Can’t have you throwing it back up again.”
“Mhm.” Aoi muttered once more then slowed down. After the ladle’s contents were gone, Oji rested Aoi back down, putting the ladle back in the bucket. Aoi looked at Oji. ‘Can’t throw up…Would have to clean it…”
Oji chuckled. “No, no. I’d clean it. I promise. But rest. We’ll talk more in the morning, Aoi, my son.”
Aoi seemed to stare at him for a moment, then rolled over. “Stupid fever dreams.” He said, much louder than he probably thought.
Oji just gave him a sad smile. It seems he hadn’t made some things clear. But what’s an old man without a few mistakes? He now knew he needed to make clear that Aoi was far more than a mere employee. He also knew that he needed to keep a closer eye on Aoi. Find out the reason behind these incidents, and prevent more from happening. Oji had lost many people in his century of life, but he would be damned if Aoi was going to be one of them.

Dawn and Twilight’s Social Media Accounts
Kuya
@NevermoreButSnore.
1230 followers.
Yes, I copied Edgar Allan Poe. Yes, I’m not sorry about the rhyme. Or calling him out.
Not that he really cares.
Insists that he is a headcanon creator on Twitter
Everyone who follows him knows that he is lying.
If we really had to classify him as a writer, it would one who posts those way-too-accurate posts about writers complaining about writing.
Like the notebook hoarding one. Not that anyone here in the fandom is guilty of that, haha... haha... ha.
Ironically is one of the more popular ones out of the whole group.
His flat responses and laziness are way too prominent to NOT be noticed.
If you actually tentatively sneak into his DMs though, for writing tips, he will patiently listen and... rather bluntly advise you.
It’s still advice though and is always the type to check out and reblog any short fanfics.
It just has to be weird, sporadic hours because he is the type to fall asleep with the phone on his face.
Koga Kitamikado
1230 followers.
@CapitalKayKay
Listen, there is a reason why a lot of successful businesses chose Instagram as their social media so Koga is no exception.
What makes his account stand out, as you can see from his rather cheeky username, is that he is willing to be an open book.
So he isn’t constantly shoving down any products he is sponsoring or whatever piece he is endorsing.
It’s more of genuinely wanting to hang out and explore what the world has to offer.
Whenever he posts a picture of the gang together, he’s the one tagging all of them, even the ones with hard usernames.
And there’s always a nice comment thanking whoever hosted the fun time or being appreciative of the area and the locals.
It helps that he has a sense of humour so the memes are always just the right amount of teasing but nothing too bad that will deter potential clients.
Because of his down-to-earth nature, he reels everyone in.
Uses the space to invite everyone following him on any celebration/casual outing.
The thing is... he has a lot of followers.
So... good luck.
Aoi
1150 followers.
@DeredArtTooTsun
Look, even he knows he is a Tsundere. It’s a small victory getting him to acknowledge that, let alone use it to brand himself here.
But god, he’s the man I’m most jealous of on Tumblr.
PERFECT BULLET JOURNALS AND SKETCHES.
Got the spreads that literally define ‘aesthetic’, a perfect lineup of art materials even with pencils that have their numbers faded, and somehow, the emotions can pass through the paper and screen.
Even does tutorials on perspectives, positions with cute annotations. Just don’t praise them for being adorable though and focus on improving your skills, dummy.
Ironically though, it’s his mindless vents that get the most number of notes.
It helps that the pics include him, a very cute... I mean... manly boy screaming at very, very hot men.
A bit baffled but whatever it takes to get commissions.
That’s right, he takes them. At least there is a back-up option should the restaurant ever go out of business.
Spoiler Alert: Still doesn’t get paid as much. People, have you seen the number of talented artists here? Aoi might be in the rankings but it’s still hard attracting business.
Support your fandom artists, everyone!
Ginnojo
1000 followers. Just nice.
Ginnojoz
Poor grandpa didn’t intend to put that extra ‘z’ letter, it was a typo because scales don’t get along with haptic touch.
And unfortunately, doesn’t understand how to change it.
Once, he was huge on Vine before it died. The end of an era that he has to witness again. RIP.
Gin-Gin, it is RIGHT. THERE.
Expect to find his super short self-defence videos and Book Club Readings on YouTube.
Girls actually appreciate his instructions and attempts to provide help even if they are alone.
He did try to respond to the nice ones and actually succeeds.
It’s always easier getting to know the language of women when you don’t really see/touch them.
A deep baritone is perfect for some sexy excerpt of a historical novel...
Until he corrects the setting.
In fact, he sometimes rage-quits and rewrites it.
Unlike Kuya, him doing those established ideas actually catches on.
Yura and Gaku
1500 followers.
MelodyandTheBeat.
... Tik-tokers. Tik-Tok people?
WTH do you call them?
As you can see, they are the most popular since it’s combined stardom.
Look, their covers and music mixes are beautiful.
They always have their own version that somehow combines traditional Japanese music... with k-pop.
And of course, food porn.
Just be grateful there isn’t that awful squelching sound you hear when you consume jelly or the breaking of chilli seeds.
Listen, I usually separate them because it’s never nice to be grouped as having the same activity as your twin.
But in this case, being both equally beautiful AND talented sells their uploads.
Even the cringy ones made because Yura is such a Luddite.
Like just turning his head and being amazed his hair can turn so many colours, being impressed with each tilt until he gets to a black shade.
Suddenly hurls the phone away. Gee, wonder why? Guess black isn’t the new... black for him?
Gaku sometimes even introduces new filters he created based on Yura’s random requests that strangely get circulated on the site.
Oji
550 followers all know Oji-Sanz
Unlike Ginnojo, he deliberately adds the ‘z’ letter to sound cool.
You wanna know what’s worse?
He actually uses Facebook.
Aoi decides to give up on him. Nobody blames the poor student.
It’s apparently some old form of social media? Never used it, no sirree.
Always changing his relationship status but at the end of the day, he’s single and ready...
To post about all the lovely ladies destined to enter his restaurant.
He thinks it’s great publicity.
It really isn’t but one good thing about Oji is he includes EVERYONE.
This man respects his customers and always helps advertise their wares, especially if their connections lead to more resources.
And less grocery shopping on his part.
Does post the recipes he and Aoi created but will never use because the Milk Hall had a certain style to follow.
Officially makes Aoi his son... on Facebook at least.
Aoi now tolerates the account.
Barely.
Toichiro Yuri
WhatheMeSay has 1231 followers!
In your face @CapitalKayKay and @NevermorebutSnore!!
You know, I’m so glad that there aren’t any users with those names because I’d be so scared of accidentally tagging them.
Also, geddit? Because... What the fox say?
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding... yeah, I’ll stop.
Pinterest Guy. And actually does spend on his ‘hobby’ to show off to everyone.
It does boost you and your father’s sales so there is nothing to complain about.
His boards are always alliterated just to sound super catchy and it works so long as he gets the right emoji.
Kabuki plays better be promoted or else.
Filled with candid pictures of his victims all taken at different angles you didn’t know were possible and in varying degrees of hilariously misunderstood positions.
He even supplies a donation link, heavily leveraged by his followers, since there are incentives tied to it like early access.
A bit suspicious the photos look like cropped out parts from Koga’s posts and some of the text resembles Kuya’s... er... wisdom?
He takes an unholy amount of selfies when he thinks no one is looking and so they are always surprised upon finding them on the Selfie Board.
There is a locked board that no one can access, even his followers who are his comrades in real life.
It’s actually just one picture in there.
It’s you smiling and giggling at a joke of his. Not even you know it’s been taken. Guess he is as soft as his fur, eh? He better come out soon or else.
Kuro
Kuroruohtumbling
Ginnojo is unfortunately just old enough to have grown up with Scooby-Doo to understand the reference.
Snapchat, like a snapping snake! Hiss!
Unironically loves the puppy face.
Ok, but the glimpses of his stunts help show snippets of the circus life.
He and his whole troupe family will even don costumes best suited for certain filters.
Sometimes ropes in Ginnojo... and by sometimes, I mean enough for everyone to start wondering if the stoic man is part of the act.
To be fair, he randomly hugs people and ranks them here.
You, of course, were number 1.
Now, if only he didn’t use the bloody song to announce it but you forgive him.
Maybe even risks revealing his ayakashi form before deleting the message to you.
Loves making international fans and learning various languages through each post, sort of like flashcards but animated and more fun!
And with 1200 followers, he might become a polyglot like Koga.
Shizuki
Everyone bans him from creating one.
Because they know the power of his roasts is too great.
Little do they know he goes undercover.
Underground.
And under their noses.
That’s right. His rant town on... MySpace.
Unapologetically uses a good chunk of his salary from serving the House of Yuri just to get nifty themes that help with the whole burning process.
Look, there’s a reason he and Oji are friends.
This is why.
Their taste in women seems fine but we really have got to do something about their affinity towards DEAD PLACES.
To be fair, he made the whole thing drunk but that doesn’t mean he should maintain it SOBER.
He just feels that it is a waste of space if he doesn’t utilize it.
And it also becomes kind of cathartic. From the intrusive hugs to his master and Sir Gaku irking each other to no end, he needs it.
Zero followers... but only because it’s super private.
It becomes 1 the moment you jokingly create an account.

Assistant-kun Character Bio (Magical Sempai)
Age: 15-16
Occupation: High School Student
Family: Unnamed Parents
Likes: Sempai, playing video games, large breasts, a stuffed toy named Behemoth, melon bread, curry with rice, chemistry looking like magic tricks, protecting Sempai from being hurt or humiliated.
Dislikes: Sempai’s clumsiness, being forced into doing magic tricks, Sempai tricking him, being teased by other girls, Sempai being hurt, other people making fun of Sempai.
Voice Actor: Aoi Ichikawa (Japanese); Landon MacDonald (English)
Description
Assistant-kun is the main male protagonist of Magical Sempai. After coming to a new school, where joining a club is mandatory, Assistant comes across the Magic Club and ends up being forced into joining by the club’s leader: Sempai. Though he does not like magic, he ends up being better at it than Sempai. His real name is never mentioned and is always called ‘Assistant-kun’.
Personality
Assistant is a normal, teenage boy who didn’t really care about which club he joined...as long as he could play video games. After he accidentally saw Sempai, the President of the Magic Club, perform magic tricks alone...she forced him into joining but was not thrilled about it. Assistant can become frustrated if someone teases or tricks him, and has limited patience when it comes to Sempai’s magic tricks and peoples’ teasing. He wishes to be seen as normal and live a normal, high school life...but Sempai often gets in the way of that. He will often scold Sempai if she horribly messes up a trick, or if she goes too far with her trying to get him to perform magic with her.
Nevertheless, Assistant does have a soft side. He sees Sempai as a chipmunk or naive child, and often worries about her getting into trouble. He has a bit of a maternal instinct in certain situations, and is shown to get along well with small children. He tries to discipline the more immature club members, much like a father discipling his children. He also has a fondness for cute things, such as Sempai’s stuffed animal: Behemoth.
Assistant is shown to have a normal attraction to girls...especially Sempai. Whenever Sempai is in a lewd situation, he becomes excited and flustered. He is shown to have an interest in bondage...but his interest in it only goes as far as Sempai being tied up. Though despite his perverted interests, he never actually acts upon them and will feel guilty about having such thoughts. He doesn’t want Sempai, or any other girl, to do something indecent in public and be humiliated for it. Sometimes, Assistant denies that he has feelings for Sempai...much like a tsundere. He can definitely be described as being a male tsundere from time to time.
Despite not being interested in magic, and often being forced into it, Assistant will end up helping Sempai or the other members into performing magic tricks. He is surprisingly good at magic and other tricks. For example: He is successful at hypnosis, he can create better illusions, and he can read people like a mentalist. Assistant has also shown interest in chemistry, and sometimes thinks of how Sempai could use chemistry for magic tricks.

Sempai: Sempai is a 3rd year student and the President of the Magic Club. Sempai is an airhead who is obsessed with magic, and forces Assistant to join her club. Sempai is greatly determined to make Assistant a member of her club, even if she has to use force (which she usually does). Sempai tries to teach Assistant magic, but he always proves to be better at magic than her, ehich makes her jealous but also fascinated. Because she is an airhead, Sempai is unaware that she unintentionally acts lewd around Assistant...though there are moments where she does notice and becomes very embarrassed because of it. Assistant is attracted to Sempai, but he often tries to deny it. He doesn’t want to hurt Sempai or make her hate him. He makes sure that she doesn’t accidentally hurt herself while performing a magic trick. For example: He stopped her from trying to escape from being chained up while underwater...afraid that she would drown. It has been hinted that Sempai may have feelings for Assistant. For example: She was jealous when Assistant seemed to be having fun with the President of the Chemistry Club: Madara. She has also hinted that she wouldn’t mind dating him, further proving that she may hold romantic feelings for him but doesn’t realize it herself. Like Assistant, her real name is never mentioned, as many people just call her ‘Sempai’.
Saki: Saki is a member of the Magic Club. She is a third year who dresses and acts like a gyaru. Saki loves to tease other people, especially Sempai and Assistant, and also acts perverted around them on purpose. Saki is obssessed with her younger brother, Ma-kun, who is one or two years younger than her. Saki is an expert in balloon art, and is able to perform tricks involving balloons and make balloon animals. Saki originally wanted to hijack the Magic Club and turn it into a ‘Street Performance Club’...but she and Ma-kun ended up joining the club instead. Like Sempai, Saki can be a bit clumsy when performing...but she is not as big of an airhead as her, and is actually more successful with her balloon tricks. Saki’s obsession with Ma-kun creeps out Assistant, but the two of them are able to understand each other...because they both have to deal with Sempai’s ditziness.
Ma-kun: Ma-kun is Saki’s younger brother and a member of the Magic Club. Much to everyone’s surprise, Ma-kuni is a chubby guy...since Assistant originally pictured him being muscular and egotistical. Unlike his sister, Ma-kun is more serious and less perverted than her. He has a normal interest in girls, and is creeped out by his sister’s obsession with...as he prefers her to keep her distant. Assistant often feels sorry for Ma-kun having to deal with Saki’s clinginess towards him. Despite this, Ma-kun does care a lot for Saki...as he is afraid that she will embarrass herself in public while performing. Like Saki, Ma-kun performs balloon tricks...mostly making balloon animals. Ma-kun is more interested in psychology than magic. Both Ma-kun and Assistant are the more level-headed members of the club.
Madara: Madara is the President of the Chemistry Club. Unlike Sempai, Madara does not like magic, as it defies all science. She is very passionate about science and chemistry, and becomes mad if anyone compares chemistry to magic. Despite claiming to hate magic, Madara allows the Magic Club to be in the Chemistry Club storeroom, and often looks out for the members like a sister. Assistant joined her club only in name, since the Magic Club was not an official club yet. Assistant is fascinated by her knowledge of chemistry, which makes her feel very happy. The two of them get along very well, and it has been hinted that Madara may hold feelings for Assistant. She becomes easily flustered around him.
Sempai’s Sister: Sister is Sempai’s older sister and Assistant’s homeroom teacher. Sister loves to tease Sempai to the point where Sempai denies that they are sisters. She knows about Sempai’s love for magic, and loves to have her wear cosplay outfits for her performances. Sister makes herself the advisor for the Magic Club, and pops in every once-in-a-while. Sister may know about Assistants attraction towards Sempai, which she uses to tease him. It is revealed that she is married when Sempai and Sister’s husband go shopping for a birthday present. Like Sempai and Assistant, her real name is unknown.

the GazettE Live Tour 18-19 THE NINTH / PHASE #04 -99.999- @ Backstage werk, Munich 2019.06.18.
It’s so bloody hot omg we all look like we’ve been swimming. It turned out the AC was broken (had been so for several years according to bar staff??), apparently it was 35-40C on stage due to the stage lights. I don’t know how hot it was in the rest of the hall but it was h o t. I’m surprised not more people collapsed tbh.
Ruki is... not doing well :( he’s taking a lot of breaks from singing and his voice sounded like it’s near breaking several times. (Edit: several people thought it’s connected to the eathquake/tsunami warning that happened back in Japan a bit earlier that day, but he really sounded like he was just getting ill)
Terry: Can we talk about how Ruki pushed two of his fingers all the way into his mouth and smooched them sensually as he took them out
Emi: Reita was insane, he kept coming to the front and he was just going crazy, widening his eyes and sticking out his tongue and omlll. He was sweating so much, his tech came out multiple times to clean up his sweat, I also saw aoi dripping sweat and ruki kept shaking his jacket.
Kai messed up a bit in UGLY and they nearly stopped (the others were all smiling/laughing) but they kept going after all. When they came on stage again for encore and it was time for Kai’s MC he started with “sorri.... I make... mistake...” 😂😂😂
Emi: Kai was freaking adorarable, he apolgised for messing up during ugly which was so cute, Ruki just looked back and started singing again and then shrugged and laughed, Aoi couldn't stop laughing either.
Ruki was a bit better for the encore!
Reita tried to time the throat-cut motion with Ruki for inside beast but Ruki only did it half-assedly so it failed 😂😭
Hyenaaaa I didn’t catch any of the Uruki action bc Reita came over to kamite and was playing with us 😭 BUT I caught the Aoiha afterwards!! Aoi came over to kamite and slowly went towards Uruha. Uruha noticed him and slowly lowered himself in front of Aoi (beaming). Aoi was nodding and smiling and it looked like they were talking. Then Uruha laughed and slowly got up again, Aoi (still smiling and nodding) moved behind him and played close behind him for a few moments until Uruha went back to his mic and Aoi went back to shimote.
Hika: Ruki put his arm around Uruha and few seconds later he patted his head lovely 😭😭😭
Hika: Kai's little solo at the end of Undying... It is E V E R Y T H I N G 😭😭😭😭
calmhyena: Uruha and aoi were super cheerful and uru interacted a lot with the crowd! He seemed happy, showed us that he was sweaty too and replied to our hearts with another heart!
Reita threw a pick towards kamite and it landed on the edge of the stage. He laughed (super cutely 😭😭😭) and then continued throwing to shimote.
Uruha recorded the crowd (with their cameraman’s extra equipment) while Kai was taking pictures! Despite everyone being exhausted the crowd cheered a lot.
Kou: At the end of the live, Uruha took a phone from staff that they were using to record and recorded the entire crowd, while interacting with everyone. 😭💕 He's such a sweetheart.
M&G:
I set a goal for myself: look Reita in the face (I never quite can) since it’s the last m&g for me. Kou went in front of me and f—... I get to Reita and he goes “hey hey look at me” in English 😭😭😭😭 I panicked and said いえいえいえいえ無理無理無理 (nononono impossible) and he LAUGHED and patted my hand
I asked a Ruki if he’s ok and he looked both happy and a little embarrassed. He said he’s alright, apologised while laughing, and then said thank you.
Me: ルキさん、大丈夫ですか?喉はどうですか? R: あっ、なんとかなるよ。フフごめんね、ありがとう!
I told Kai: don’t worry about today’s miss! (I wanted to say more but he interrupted me by BURSTING OUT LAUGHING) Kai: HAHAHAHA SORRY SORRY (slapping my shoulder repeatedly and pulling at my hand until staff grabbed both my shoulders and basically frogmarched me past Uruha <-- I did not stay in front of him particularly long (and he made it hard to leave because he was pulling on my hand lol) so I don’t think the forceful handling was justified)
Staff kept shoving me past Uruha, I barely had time to say “thanks” :( he held on to my hand and held me back while staff shoved me further and further lol... I feel really bad for him being last. He has no time to talk to anyone and he loves m&g :/
Kou: Staff pushed us way too quickly through meet and greet, especially in front of Uruha, who was last. I was barely able to say otsukaresama before I was being shoved towards the door. The staff who was shoving people away from Uruha not only ruined a lot of fan experiences, but you could also tell Uruha was quite distressed.
Kou: Very disappointed with German venue staff. At both Cologne and Munich there was one, maybe two, good/kind staff, but the rest were all on power trips and were total dickheads.
Thread on B7Klan being less than accommodating, including neglecting to follow up on disabled customers.
Kou: The staff member (who was huge and muscley af btw) who was pulling people away from Uruha didn't just push like staff normally do, but would grab you by both shoulders or even by the hips and DRAG you away from him and shove you towards the door.
Lili: I just want to let you all know that when I told Reita "You rock!" He answered "Yes I Rock" and did a stupid pose doing 🤘🤘like of he was a statue model ... XD 💛
Emi: I was shaking after speaking to Aoi so I was super nervous going up to Reita, I wanted to say something simple like thank you and I love you. So obviously aishteru is a bit intense so I was told people usually say daisuki instead, well...
Emi: I went up to him and I could barely look at cus omfg it's Reita. I managed to get out thank you and daisuki But IT WAS SOOO EMBARASIINGNG. I felt like I was telling my school crush that u liked him, AND THEN HE STARTED GIGGLING AT ME.
Emi: After the Reita incident I was sooooo embarrassed so I couldn’t help but hide my face, Ruki took my hands and started laughing at how embarrassed I was, he was so smiley and warm and even though I only said thank you he really leaned in and listened to what I said.
Emi: Then we went to Kai, OMG WHAT. Kai is the most gorgeous human ever, he is ALWAYS smiling. Its important to know that I had been crying through the whole encore. so after I shook his hand I covered my face and he just said in the cutest voice "don't cry! Don't cry!"
Coldroute: Arm wrestling with Reita at the M&G - I WON !!!
Coldroute: And i touched his biceps - GUYS, THIS MAN HAS FUCKING MUSCLES I FELL IN LOVE IMMEDIATELY
Christina: I was shaking hands with Reita when i asked him to give me a high five and he said „yeah!!“ leaned back just so he could put extra power in his high five AND IT WAS AWESOME
Special shoutout to the friendly and helpful fans I met everywhere, you are all amazing! Thanks to fans who organised queueing when staff would not, and thank you so much to everyone who cooperated with the fan made systems and made this WT such an enjoyable experience ☺️💖 WT13 was quite stressful and not that enjoyable for me so I ended up skipping WT16, but you guys have showed me that world tours can be amazing (even though I wish we had ticket numbers eliminating the dumb system of making people sleep on the street).

VRAINS Rarepair Weeks 2018-2019 - Day 12: Pets/Sickfic
Summary: Kiku and Takeru have planned on seeing each other after weeks and months of not doing so because of the distance. There is, however, kind of a knack with it: he doesn't show up at their meeting point. Instead, she goes to his place and decides that he needs to be taken care of instead of apologizing to her.
Fandom: Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS Ships: Entrustshipping (Takeru/Kiku)
Wordcount: 1.9K words
Notes: Justice for Shoichi, the best wingman ever. YOOOOOO BEST PROMPT IS HERE You gotta have to thank Michevalier for the sudden Entrust inspiration. I'm writing almost the opposite as she does (with my floof and all), so make sure to check her fic too, xoxo, Fly. It's very fluffy for once, considering I slapped a thing from a Cardcaptor Sakura special manga chapter on there for good measure.
Event hosted by @vrainsrarepairweeks
AO3 version available here.
Winter break’s cold winds blows through Den City as Kiku steps down from her train. Still very little used to the city’s busier atmosphere compared to her countryside hometown, she made sure to plan where she had to meet up with Takeru: a park downtown, in front of a hotdog truck named Café Nagi. He also accompanied the explanation with a picture of some of his friends from the city: on it, Takeru was smiling, arm wrapped around the shoulder of a blue-haired boy around their age named Yusaku. Right behind them was an older, purple-haired man named Kusanagi who couldn’t be that much older than them.
Takeru has almost insisted for her to meet them and not just with him. He has told her countless stories about them, how they had all met. His eyes were shimmering whenever he talked about Aoi’s exploits, how they saved Miyu, how Yusaku was a great friend to have, how Kusanagi’s advice was either fantastic or hilariously terrible, and then there was this little guy in his Duel Disk that’d say something witty and she’d giggle. He was so excited for it, how could she not be as excited herself?
And then it turns out he wasn’t at their meeting point.
She does see Yusaku eating a hotdog and Kusanagi asking what she wants to get for herself, but there is no Takeru to be seen. She has to apologize: she’s sorry, she isn’t here to order anything. At first, the man looks confused, and she wonders if she hasn’t stumbled upon very coincidental identical people. That would be very unfortunate, because she’d have bothered people who have nothing to do with whomever she is searching for. Soon after, however, he remembers what Takeru has told him and greets her with a great smile.
“Oh, you’re Takeru’s childhood friend, ain’t ya? Sorry to tell ya this, but he isn’t here today!”
The astonishment is full on her part.
“Ex… Excuse me?”
“Yeah, he just… didn’t come here, for some reason… He isn’t responding to neither Yusaku or me.”
“Oh, I see…”
Kusanagi seems down from having to tell her this as her mind starts racing. If Takeru isn’t here, it may be because he’s slipping back into his shut-un lifestyle, and she doesn’t want that to happen again. This is bad…
She’s starting to panic when the hotdog seller’s voice breaks her away from her thoughts and brings her back to reality.
“Hey, I’ve got an idea! Why don’t you go pay him a visit? I’m sure he’d be very happy to see ya!”
“Ah, I’d love to, but I don’t know where Takeru lives here. He hasn’t given me his address…”
“That’s nothing! Gimme two sec’, I’m gonna grab ya a piece of paper and write it there, you can use your phone’s GPS to get there! Don’t forget to give us some news when you’ll be there, okay?”
Kusanagi doesn’t fail to deliver. Barely minutes later, she’s back on her feet, phone in one and the piece of paper in the other in case her map app bugs on her and she has to input the address again. What a resourceful man… She can perfectly see why Takeru was so happy to introduce him to her. Yusaku didn’t say much, but his little thumb-up to her was very charming to see anyway. They do seem like very nice people, she’s glad Takeru is their friend, that he can count on them when he’d be otherwise isolated in a busy, bustling city. It means he has people to rely on whenever he needs help.
On the other hand, Kiku feels a great deal of anxiety when she notices Takeru still isn’t responding to her text messages. She has attempted to call him several times since arriving in Den City, sometimes even if just to ask where to go (and have an excuse to hear his voice yet again, goodness she loves hearing his voice so much), but he has never picked up either. At first, she thought he was busy with his friends at the café, and considering how forgetful he was, it was totally plausible. However, knowing he wasn’t there and has never been, she felt shivers going down her spine. It sounds like an ominous recipe for disaster, if you ask her.
She clutches her phone in her hands whenever she isn’t looking at map instructions, hoping it’s just because he’s too busy and is late, but the worried glance Yusaku and Kusanagi exchanged earlier didn’t indicate it was any better than that. Maybe he’ll call her back or respond to her message, so she keeps the vibrator turned on.
Please be alright, Takeru, she often finds herself whispering under her breath as to feel less alone.
After feels like too much time spent in unknown streets, she finally finds the apartment complex where Takeru lives. Her phone not being able to track his exact position down, she instead relies on instincts and following number logic. His mailbox seems to indicate a floor and a flat number: that hads to be where she’s headed. Even climbing the stairs, as the elevator is broken and out of commission as a result, doesn’t feel like a chore and more like a time loss. She senses that something’s wrong, a feeling that is fogging her mind to the point all she can think about is reaching his flat and know what was wrong. Once facing the door, which she almost misses because her attention has been hindered, her hit isn’t a miss: his name is indeed on the small nameplate next to the door and right over the ringbill.
There is no immediate response, and she’s very much tempted to ring again, until the door opens and she gets faced by her precious Takeru and his… sickly appearance, to say the least.
She has known him for long enough to know it when his skin is paler, and even then, it’s obvious enough for anyone to see it. A thick red hue covers his otherwise cadaveric face, his glasses are covered in fog (she’s surprised he’s even wearing those…) and there are deep dark rings under his eyes. Sweat is pearling down his temples and his half-opened pyjama top can only mean he’s feeling very hot in early spring.
“Ah, h-hi, Kiku…” he exhales as he realizes it’s her, a tiny smile appearing on his face.
“Takeru, are you okay?” she immediately asks, not waiting for any answer. “You look terrible!”
He looks on the side, embarrassed, and coughs in his elbow.
“C’mon in… Sorry, I slept through my alarm and…”
“It’s all fine, don’t worry, let’s get you to bed again,” she puts her hands on his shoulders and tries to get him to his room by relying on her instincts alone, but in the end, he still indicates her where to go. The flat itself is small, truly sized for one person, so it doesn’t take her more than a few coughs from him too much to find the bedroom.
Once she has made sure Takeru was back in bed and propped against pillows, she noticed a little red creature rising from his Duel Disk. It soon disappears back into it, however, and she is left wondering if it was her or it was real. Oh well, it’s not important.
“Have you eaten something yet?” she asks as she mentally makes a list of what she could have to be going out to buy.
“Well, not really, I just got out of bed… And Flame can’t make breakfast…”
Oh, so this was probably the little guy inside his Duel Disk! Takeru has described Flame as before!
“I’ll make you something with what you have then, okay? Your grandparents once told me about what they’d make for you when you were sick!”
She ran to the kitchen, which seems to be a hybrid with the theorical dining room, and takes a look through the fridge and other places to find a way to make something quickly. She settles for a cup of honey milk, not too big in case he isn’t hungry and warm enough to feel good on the throat, and a moderate bowl of oatmeal. She doesn’t really know why he had this in here, but she’s grateful for it: it’ll be just fine for her sick friend. There is no proper tray to put these on: instead, she just uses something similar found nearby. She isn’t sure what it is, but it can hold a bowl, a mug and the pills she found in his pharmacy.
Takeru gives her a smile as she puts it on his lap, making sure it isn’t burning to hold.
“Thank you very much, but you really didn’t have to…” he tells her, but she dismisses it quickly.
“Who else was going to take care of you? Your friends had no idea you were missing because you were sick… You should tell them, so they can take care of you when I’ll be back in our hometown…”
He looks at the red mug with blue stripes, holds it in his hands and, after taking a sip, looks back at her and smiles again.
“You remember this mug, Kiku?”
“Of course I do! It’s the one I gave you before you left for Den City!”
Ah, she’s so proud of him too for moving on from the Incident and rebuilding himself!
This is only for her to get restless again.
“Wait, Takeru, I don’t think you have medicine…”
“I don’t think it’s much more than a cold… Plus, I’m not gonna make you pay for this, seriously, Kiku…”
“I was only able to find fever reducers, but maybe you want cough pills?”
“I’ll be fine, I promise…”
She stares at him with the intensity of a thousand doctors and the legendary force of a hundred grandma’s remedies.
“You’re really sure about that? I saw a convenience store and a pharmacy around the corner, they’re not too far for me to get there…”
The little laugh she hears from Takeru, slightly soured down by his congested throat but still adorable to hear, almost innocent. She puts a hand on his forehead meanwhile, and sure enough, he has a fever running. It doesn’t seem to bad, however, so she just quickly grabs a washcloth in his bathroom (which is right next to the bedroom, how convenient). Once filled with cold water, she can go back to the bedroom and put it on his forehead.
“Ah, that’s annoying… I’ll have to pay you back again for this too…”
She giggles.
“You don’t owe me anything, silly! I’m glad to make sure you’ll be fine!”
“Can I ask you a last favour, Kiku…?”
His voice sounds more hesitant. Is there something wrong?
“Of course you can.”
“Can you stay with me for the day? Flame is a nice company to have, but you’re even better to have around…”
Her heart skips a beat and her cheeks heat up.
“I’ll stay here as long as I can then!”
As if synchronized, they take each other’s hand in theirs, fingers sometimes detaching so they can do other stuff on the side, like daling with the tray. They, however, enlace each other almost right afterwards, and she cannot help but feel like a guardian angel at the moment.
Takeru’s grandparents have told her before she was his guardian angel, after all, but never had she pictured that idea so much than now.

Asobi Asobase 1 | Planet With 1 | Hanebado! 2 | Holmes of Kyoto 1 | Phantom in the Twilight 1
Asobi Asobase 1
These girls…have no noses? Gwah?!
…They really went in on the “purity” themes, with the OP and the flowers, didn’t they? It gives off a “sugar, spice and everything nice” vibe.
I’ve had my eyebrow furrowed in disinterest here. The artstyle not only very nearly lacks noses, but Olivia (I think that was the girl’s name from promo material) has such a disgustingly smug face that I can’t laugh at it. It seems mean-spirited and not fun at all.
My gosh, bob girl has such a sadistic streak…
These faces are clearly trying to make me laugh, but all I get for them is a “You tried” feeling. Sorry, must be the yuri vibes. Plus the extra boob jiggle which you really could’ve done without.
You can tell that Olivia wasn’t speaking a lick of sense there. The subbers must’ve had fun trying to convert it to English. *sigh* If only I were part of that team, I’d be having more fun with it than I am just watching it…I’m clearly not having fun here, obviously.
The pigtailed girl stealing the ham made me laugh, but only in a very weak way.
This pen thing? C’mon, they have that in Western-type societies like mine too, y’know.
The artstyle is like Nichijou a few times. Lemme guess, Nichijou isn’t for me…
Asobihito (asobibito…?) =/= Pleasure Seekers. The former translates literally to “playing people”, i.e. “people who play”. “Pleasure seeker” is that in a more general sense…then again, English doesn’t have an equivalent term that doesn’t vaguely sound like someone’s taking advantage of other people.
The sensei finally got me to laugh properly! But hey, it’s just because she’s so dang perky when she shouldn’t be…
The bob girl says “eigo kenkyuu kai” (English study club), but then Honda (pigtails) goes “Eiken?”, which from the translation I’d presume is short for “eigo (no) shiken” (English test).
Ohmygosh, they unabashedly put a Louis Vuitton suitcase into this show! How did they get away with that??? *stifles laughter*
I feel like these girls are trying to just be mean to each other more often than not. Catfights aren’t fun, yo.
The SFX and the visuals make this very clear this is a show for boys. Boys who like to fantasise about girls having fun like this.
Oh dear…did they just…they did! (flat tone) What. *face furrowed in worry, shakes head* A Detective Conan parody…
This comedy is probably a tad too…Western…for my liking…
Uh…I don’t know what to think about that ED…I feel like most of the budget went into the ED, for some reason.
Nihon no Asobi wo Asobase means “Let’s Play Japanese Games!”. It has no “please” involved whatsoever. Also…is that a poop emoji with hands and feet in the corner? (LOL)
Okay, you got me show. You made me laugh a grand total of…twice. That’s a terrible track record, y’know! Also, the real daruma otoshi is like this.
Well, that last segment made me feel like I was watching Potter Puppet Pals. Only it was for an anime I didn’t really care about and it wasn’t particularly funny after the novelty and creativity of it all wore off (and that wore off very fast!). That’s a drop. Also, can we not with the boob jokes???
Planet With 1
Hmm…a low ranker due to Ume potentially being pulled…I wonder how this’ll go.
Thank you for that, show!!! Such a cool, flashy opening!
I keep reading that the boy’s name is Ginko in first episode impressions, but Ginko, according to the ANN spotlight I read, was the maid girl. This boy is Souya. Okay, got it.
That’s one biiiiiiiiig cat, man…
Ohmygosh, I’m going to run out of air from how much I’m laughing! The cat’s eating this cabbage raw! What the heck??? (LOLOLOL)
Youhei Suzuki? Why does that name seem familiar…?
If you’ve been around anime long enough, you’ll get megane (glasses) =/= megami (goddess). Plus, what is it with men and eating lots of meat? Does eating meat affirm one’s masculinity or something?
Is it just me, or am I getting Star Driver vibes from this show? There was a guy in the OP who looked like Souya’s dad, y’know.
I think Souya was doing trigonometry (you can see cos theta on the board). I don’t envy him there.
It’s the kanji for “peace”, but it’s missing a stroke…that’s why it’s spelt “peas” and not “peace”.
There seems to be quite a bit of CGI in this show, huh?
Was that…Ume?! Yes!!!!!!!
Isn’t Sensei trying to peek up the skirt from the girl from Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer? That’s the second pervert today…ick.
Sensei doesn’t even move his mouth??!!!!!!!!!! (LOL)
Benika is the redhead. Beni = crimson, so that should be no trouble at all.
That guy’s book appears to be upside down…? Is it possible he could read a book like that, if he’s constantly holding it that way?
It’s amazing how much anime protagonists can do while pretending to be in the toilet…
Torai in a tiger mecha. I see, I see…
LOL, more ingestion business…just like Hisone and Masotan.
…Why is the protagonist’s motivation meat, of all the things?
Yay, it really was Ume! Thank you, Planet With! Now I’m definitely staying! Even if Ume gets dropped afterwards, there’s enough to keep me here otherwise such as how it feels pleasantly old-school while putting a new spin on a bunch of things, such as how Souya – who should be the bad guy in any other story – is the good guy here.
Who’s the man behind the old guy in the ED? That shadow thing is a dog, by the way - I saw it in the ANN spotlight.
Hanebado 2
It’s all an uphill climb…or a slip into the depths…for Hanebado right now.
There’s a box where the hyphen should’ve been…
To quote Google, a shutout is an N. American term: “a play, game, or inning in which the opposition is prevented from scoring.”
Nagisa’s strength appears to be the smash. It seems probably enough, considering her body type doesn’t seem to be made for speed. (…What? Why are you looking at me weirdly? Analysing these guys is just like analysing fighters in an RPG or something.)
Why are all these girls driven by only the sport or the guys??? People, girls need varied motivations.
The elder Isehara? There are two? Are they twins?
Comedic violence against an almost-pervert…it’s getting to the point where I’m getting a bit tired of that in anime…
Just because people have talent doesn’t necessarily mean that they like doing what they’re good at, Elena…
So Isehara (one of them) is in blue. Hopefully I remember that.
I didn’t really understand why Yu was with these girls…and then something came out of one of their mouths that made me realise these were quitters from the badminton team last episode.
There was something really silly about how Yu chucked the packet and didn’t get it in. She’s not really made for badminton smashes, is she?
Interesting use of a chalk style for a flashback.
Tachibana is clearly trash talking Nagisa to get on her nerves. It’ll mess up her judgement…hmm. Machiavellian tactics. I see.
Cross court drive. Just remember this is a link about squash, so substitute out “ball” for “shuttlecock”.
Just for reference, here’s a guide to a jump smash. It’s a difficult offensive move, so it’s perfect for Nagisa, who works hard to achieve her level of skill.
The picture of the embarrased guy (one of the ED photos) is pretty funny. He’s kind of cute, to boot, haha. Update: I’m not sure if that’s Nagisa or one of the boys...if it was Nagisa...oops.
The ED’s artstyle reminds me of Grimgar. That’s a compliment.
The feather imagery is because hane can mean “feather” or “wing”.
Holmes of Kyoto 1
This one could either be good…or bad like a bunch of other seasonals. Let’s find out…
They’re a bit heavy-handed with the “tell, don’t show”, but that flashback was integrated well.
The actual Holmes is known for occasionally trying to get Watson to try and do some deducing of his own (such as how there was a character early on who’d been overseas – I think he was in a war or something - and Watson was able to deduce that from looking at him, that was how he was able to introduce himself as a doctor IIRC), so having Yagashira (I think that was his name from the promo material) try to get Aoi to look at antiques is a good analogy. Detective Conan also had some of those moments, so this almost feels nostalgic…Update: The thing I was alluding to was how Holmes deduced Watson had been to “the Afghanistan” (sic) in A Study in Scarlet, but that doesn’t match what I’m thinking of.
Welp, this certainly ain’t a show where you’re meant to deduce it along with the detective. They didn’t even have the man mention to the audience he’d come from Osaka…
Chalcanthite.
“[G]ot my goat”? They sure are making some slang out of the Kyoto dialect, huh? Update: I don’t recognise the line that Kiyotaka uses, meaning it might really be Kyoto dialect. (Just for your confirmation.)
Salt…? What is this, an exorcism?
The Japanese word for “boiled egg seasoning” seems to have the word for “salt” in it, which explains what’s going on.
Okay, lemme try and guess how Holmes got those deductions: “You’re a student at Ohki High School.” – the uniform…?/”You originally came from east Japan.” – dialect/”It’s been about 6 months since you moved to Kyoto.” - the time of acclimatisation between getting used to Kyoto or not, or maybe her clothes…?/”You came to this shop because there’s something you want appraised, but it’s not something that belongs to you.” – how she’s holding that bag and has been too hesitant to approach Holmes – if she owned it, she would be less careful with it. Either that, or he can see into the bag. Update: I originally guessed “time of acclimatisation” for the 6 months section, but switched it out before learning that was the correct answer, so I’ve got it in bold there. I did get that thing about hesitance right though, so it’s in italics.
Wait…”when you think of ‘Aoi’”…? Aoi is a type of flower, right? Update: I was right. Aoi is the Japanese name of hollyhock, and turns out there’s a festival named for it celebrated by the shrine Holmes mentions! I’m completely useless against Detective Conan cases, but I can actually guess some of this stuff! Yay me!
H-How old is Holmes…? Stab in the dark says “24”, but lessee…Okay, he’s 22. Close enough.
“Holmes doesn’t speak with an accent. I wonder where he’s from?” – Dangit, I was wondering that too. They got Kaito Ishikawa to voice him, and that guy doesn’t have a Kyoto accent (I know from listening to him when I was trying to guess the clues earlier). Lessee…he has parents who come from Tokyo?
Hakuin Ekaku…is a real dude. Update: Zenga.
Are train tickets really that expensive…?
Oh dear…have I ever seen a grandpa lust after girls of 16??? Don’t think so.
“Us Kyoto boys…are awful nasty.” – *clutches chest in mock pain* Ahhhh! My poor kokoro!
I know I’ll probably regret just watching for the bishie and the guessing game I can make out of this, but…okay, that’s another potential keeper. If it gets any worse on the guessing game front though, it might have to go into the drop pile though.
Phantom in the Twilight 1
This is the last debut before “Dude of Red: Red Guy” (or whatever Moe Sucks called Lord of Vermilion)…hopefully it’ll be good!
Is it just me or are these guys’ eyes creepy...? Also, this is not Rokuhoudou. It’s blatantly trying to be Rokuhoudou…I miss Tokitaka already…*sigh*
Peperoncino.
I like how the girl’s wearing shorts. Unfortunately, they’re those booty shorts that seem to be all the rage these days instead of something more modest, but hey, what can you do? *shrug* Shorts are comfy and easy to wear, as they say.
Okay, if blind guy isn’t a jiangshi I’m going to love this show a lot more. But seriously, if this is going to be the second coming of Anime Twilight, then I’m out of here…
There’s one dude in the OP that looks like he walked out of Joker Game…but with altered eyebrows! What the heck?!
Is it just me, or did they not sub the titlecard?
Is it just me, or is the yuri being hammered on too strongly here?
The Chinese restaurant’s sign says something…about a small lobster?
Sha Rijan…Shinyao…Oh no, don’t tell me! I’m watching a Chinese coproduction?! Well, at least the girl is mighty relatable. She only seems part Chinese.
Luke reminds me of Impey from Code:Realise. Not that it bothers me, it’s just that Van Helsing was my favourite from that.
Huh? Didn’t Shinyao say all their money was inside the luggage? Ton probably had some money on her for that taxi, but still…Update: Could be Uber or just paying by credit/debit card but they never say.
Why are these three dudes like a military squad, anyway? It’s a tad unsettling…
Two of the characters Ton’s written on the board in the ED are jiayou, which is pretty much Chinese’s equivalent to ganbaru.
Shinyao and Ton go back a long way, huh?
What’s up with the chibis? They remind me of the Winx Club or Bratz or something…or even worse, the puppet show from Asobi Asobase! Actually, no, they remind me of one of those online dress-up games more…I’m cringing, man.
Well, that seemed a little misfired but otherwise up my alley! The boys may not be as hot as I’d hoped, but still, the show is otherwise quite fabulous.
Update: Music Girls is performing pretty terribly against these other shows, so that’s on hold.

Thanks for the 200 +2 followers!
Hi guys! I haven’t been updating frequently (my schedule sucks) but I really wanted to thank you guys for making me hit...
Like wow, that’s a nice number! So, like I did for the last post showing my appreciation for the first hundred followers, I consolidated all the replies I wanted to address and talk about some of the upcoming works and all. Especially those requests that I haven’t done. I am a bad person, I’m sorry. Please wait for me.
Also, if this post makes you uncomfortable in any form, please PM so I can edit it!

@fenrirthemyth
Thank you so much for your comment! I was very worried about ‘Why He Doesn’t Sign‘ because it’s my first time ever doing something related to angst and I still wanted Oji to be in character but sadly observing Aoi. I hope to improve my writing gradually (hence why this blog exists other than me just spazzing about Ayakashi and all)
@jadaninerowena
Oh, thank you so much! Nachi technically doesn’t want to be seen as our younger brother but he’s really the best family Futaba has ever had and I’m glad it was fluffy enough to be appropriate for his birthday!
Speaking of birthdays, I have 2 works for Yura and Gaku respectively although if you know me well enough by now, Gaku is going to get roasted in his severely.
Thanks again! uWu
@aromantic-misguide-to-romance You’ve actually reblogged my works and that helps it get circulated a lot so I really appreciate that!
And yes, Facebook doesn’t exist. No one in my class uses it. Deal with it.
I’m joking though, I just had to dig out some of the older social media sites to match the oresamas in the game because their interfaces are more intuitive and easier to handle. Even 100 eyes can get strained when looking at a tiny smartphone. Thanks again for sharing! :D
PS: They made the Ayakashi Discord Channel so head over to them to join everyone who loves Ayakashi... and see my puns.
I’m a punster :D
@dany-ryujin
I think I have previously thanked you for the last time I did this sort of post but that’s because you are perpetually sweet <3. I’m glad that the headcanon appealed to you! I was a bit worried about it getting repetitive so I tried to vary the type of dragon MC was. In fact, more of the recent headcanons involving both the Twilight and Dawn factions were about different types of MCs, including the latest requests that I have been staring at during my free time so if you enjoy them, I hope the next few posts will make you happy! Thanks again!
@altaria98
Thank you so much for following me! I’m always happy to see your comments and messages. Plus, a fellow Aoi fan that I can relate to!
For the first comment, yeah, I don’t know why but the moment I roast Gaku, the whole piece goes haywire and you get Twilight: Breaking Dawn and Relationships!
Nobody should scroll down to Gaku for their own sanity.
The best compliment for a fic if the fan for that character of that fic gives you a sweet comment like this. Checklist: To do You (SFW) was when I tried to see if I can imagine Aoi frantically planning for a perfect outing but having a teenager’s problems like insecurity... and desserts. Yeah, don’t ask.
I was a bit scared of doing this list specifically because of Aoi. It does feel weird imagining his size considering the stated age but I’m glad nobody found it offensive or illegal. Seriously though, I might have to make it more explicit that he is eighteen years and above for these things. Speaking of which...
@saizoslilwifey
HELLO, FELLOW TRY GUY FAN! I did the PG-rated version of Eugene Lee-Yang’s ranking skits with the girl scouts but you caught it and loved it! Thank you so much for the comments! It made my day seeing someone catch that reference. :D
@homu-mod
This is still about Rank-kings but this is also about the sweetest fellow Koga fan! Aye there! If you want more of Koga being perfect... get ready to spell with your ABCs.
@katiestrope
I edited the first picture because that account is deactivated and I don’t think you’d be comfortable with me showing it so I cropped it out. But I cannot crop out your words that got me thinking... that I should eat. LOL! Seriously though, thank you so much!
Will I do a sandwich? I did with Kuro and Aoi but admittedly, I don’t have much experience in writing threesomes. I do have drafts of them, along with other pairs.
I also have bleach for any of the professors who might have noticed it. Just in case.
@heather-hutchcroft
Ok, bear with me, you don’t get photos because YOU DO TOO MUCH. Like seriously, when I was typing this, my fingers were starting to ache from pressing the screenshot button on my laptop repeatedly. Thank you so much for reblogging my works! It’s really helpful :D
@blinded-by-forest-sunlight
As you can see folks, this sweetheart actually sent me this sweet message in my ask box. Seriously, this was very nice! Thank you so much! I hope I can still produce decent stuff and improve! :D
@mseliteminority
Your replies are what makes me hate my works less, like the first comment. How the Dawn Faction Pleasures their MC was something that made me struggle for a while because I wanted it to be extensive. And honestly? Anywhere for any of the Dawn Faction member gets set on fire upon their touch, hehe!
You even commented on my crack pieces as seen with Joining… the inari sushi cult with Toichiro Yuri. Made simply to apologize to the poor Nonnie who got her request on Toichiro very late for the explicit version of the Twilight Faction’s First Time with MC.
Hopefully, I produce more Aoi and Kuya fics like the most recent one celebrating the release of the Event Stories. A Feathery Kiss - Kuya was frankly a rushed job so I hope to do a better one next time!
Finally, Kuro as a Yandere -NSFW edition, was what made me wonder... why do people like Yanderes? Your comment was what made me like this piece in the end because it was pretty fun to see how others reacted to one of the least likely characters to stab someone suddenly going psychotic or something.
Thanks again for your supportive and engaging words! And I will get back to your ask because I am combining it with the other 2 as a sort of comeback piece (if my professors ever free me).
@aikanachi
Wow, the first time someone ever made a playlist based off a headcanon of mine. For The Koyurona Group and the Onmyoji Girl, I did try writing lyrics (terrible ones) for each of the group members. I did record it... before deleting it. LOL. So it’s a good thing someone with good ears, like a certain Nekomata, made this! Thank you so much! :D

@singingonmyojileyka and @saeryenkalador
Nonono, thank YOU for following me and always reblogging my pieces... even the very questionable ones like for the second comment since it really was a random ramble on roasting Gaku again in Random Headcanons #1: Gaku’s Diet. And it was so nice to do Nachi, Koga, Kuya and Kuro because those are also my favourite boys! Plus Aoi... plus Yura... plus Gaku... plus Toichiro... plus Ginnojo... you get the idea.
@carolithe
I couldn’t help it! Your country is very beautiful and it was a great trip! :D I’m glad Gaku is a spirit haunting wasabi-flavoured snacks now and hope we can be munching on some, one day together! Thanks again!
@ikementally-deficient
Yes, fellow comrade! Your wish is my command and I shall always try to present Oji-San(sClothes)! I hope to do justice for him so that all of his eyes can look me in the eye. Thanks again!
PS: Follow them for Ayakashi matchups! They are super good!
@askayakashi
Thanks for mentioning the list! :D Although honestly, it really isn’t the most accurate, LOL. But yeah, I really should tag these lists more. It would be great to gather everyone here...
To roast Gaku.
And everyone else! Seriously, if I could, I would have dumped all those notes but I’m already behind in making my study notes. Whether it’s a ‘like’, a reply, a reblog, a suggestion, a critique or a funny request, I love everything from all of you.
Once again, thank you for following me! I’m so happy to be part of this loving and funny fandom and hope to get know more of you! :D
