You hunt down abandoned ships and settlements, stripping them of what useful parts you can find and selling those to whoever will pay your prices. It's a dangerous, solitary life, but you don't have much choice in the matter. You have too much of a past to trust a crew or to settle down planetside.

Or is is the lost vessel of the last god? Either way, life as you know it is over. The Consortium — the conglomeration of various companies and governments that rule known space — want your head. The rebels want your power. But what do you want?

So I've finished season 1 and what a goofy yet compelling story!!! Aram really created such an interesting and detailed world I want to Interrogate Him

Also the fact that they were releasing this in 2015 and literally had a gay wedding episode release the day after the Supreme Court ruling... I realised that and had to sit down and cry

I've started Godsfall and I'm so excited because the episodes are short! They're easily digestible!! But there are SO MANY OF THEM!!!!

I have been designing a collection of altered Tarot cards for my fantasy world of Reuel, where many stories will take place. As I create the cards and unveil their lore I will share them here.

In the decades after the Godsfall the survivors began building new civilizations and with those came artifacts from the before times that people adapted for the new world. One of those was the Tarot deck, essentially the well known Rider Waite Tarot deck. In time it became known as a Fate or Moira deck and the original cards transformed as people looked at the world in new ways. Each entry in this series describes one or more cards.

The Empress has always represented bounty and physical comfort but modern deck users will be surprised that it was historically represented by the figure of royalty on a throne. Today the card not only is represented by a grandmother hard at work cooking and is often named the Grandmother though many continue using The Empress feeling it works just fine.

Alex Does NaNoWriMo - Day 22

I didn't get much done yesterday because instead I spent over 5 hours sorting a playlist, which I haven't done for writing in years. So who is really winning here?

Still not me lol anyway if you want to see a 25 hour playlist of standalone fantasy pieces, the OSTs of various games, and piano renditions of Zelda songs, the products of my labor are [here]. It's still a work in progress tho.

One thing I did do, however, was write more academic-sounding stuff. Or, at least, I hope it sounds academic. I haven't been in school in years. By the end, I'll have referenced so many fake texts I could make a fake bibliography if I really wanted to. I'm kind of thinking about it. How odd that this is the book that became so academically-inclined when my last major project was literally set at a college lmao

Anyway, let's talk stats.

I haven't ever been public with this, but since the show and fandom have been dead for a few years.... Pera Rivers, I miss you. I loved you so much, and it hurts to think that we'll never hear our ending. But you'll always be my Sparks, and I fondly remember the way you lit up my world... In more ways than one. Quick question, is the lost god/parasite(?) inside the vessel romanceable? I didn't see it in the romance list but I still want to ask.

Thank you! This is a great question, and something I've been meaning to post about, so thanks for asking. So, the short answer is yes. But I'm not sure yet how to implement it. In that vein, have a poll:

I went with "Some of us enjoy the game overall more than any other systems. It's a compromise" but that still feels disingenuous.

Simply put, for a *lot* of people, TTRPGs and D&D are interchangable terms. If they're going to play an RPG, they're going to play D&D; it's not even a question for them.

One of my 5e campaigns has 7 players in it; of those, 2 decided to play in a 2-month City of Mist hiatus game. The other five took a break; no game at all was preferable to playing something new.

I played 5e with another group for 4 years before I was finally able, last year, to get us to a point of going "hey, let's try other stuff for a while"; they've embraced it, mostly, and we've played things like Cyberpunk Red, Vampire the Masquerade, Monster of the Week, Avatar Legends, Wyldrvir and Farflung, but there's always this thought hanging over these games for a few of the players that this is just side-content for when we go back to 5e.

For me, personally, when my Godsfall campaign finishes, I plan not to run D&D for my home game anymore. I love City of Mist, so probably that, but anything else at this point would be preferable.

But I'll still play D&D, because I am paid to run games during the week and that still, no matter the options available, is what people want to learn.

For "I only play 5e with one of my groups and other systems with other groups" the reason why you only play 5e with that group can be whatever.
