Ultimately, I concluded a Noctowl would fit Mia's 'simple elegance' aesthetic better than Alakazam (which has a somewhat more ornate design), although maybe she still does have one. Noctowl would also be a nice mentor for Phoenix's Decidueye. As for Godot, I had a bit of trouble, but I guess Luxray's X-ray vision would help with his partial blindness? Their aesthetic is somewhat similar as well. I also avoided giving him any flying-types because 3-5 wouldn't have happened quite the same otherwise.

Sephiroth ~ An absolutely stellar prosecutor. His quick wit and dogged pursuit of justice allows him to exceed the skills of both Godot and von Karma. Referred to multiple times as “that handsome son of a glorious gun”, as well as causing at least 12 people in the courtroom to faint from sheer enamor. What makes him such a wonderful prosecutor, however, is not his sheer intelligence… nor his blinding radiance of ethereal beauty. In the end, what makes him stand out so much is the fact that, compared to Franziska, Manfred, and even Edgeworth… Sephiroth has sympathy. Oodles of sympathy. He doesn’t use fear tactics, ruthless shouting, or even clever manipulation to set traps for the defense attorney—all of which he believes flies in the face of the Pride and Honor his good pal Angeal once taught him. He doesn’t strive for a guilty verdict to win, to prove a point… but because he wants to advocate for the poor soul who’s lost their life—and those around them who were hurt. He doesn’t want vengeance; he doesn’t even want to see the defendant dead. The only wholehearted, unadulterated thing he wants… is righteousness.

He also claws his cravat off in front of the whole courtroom.

GODOT! aside from me loving his story i think he's the funniest fucking prosecutor of them all and i love comedy so so much. what other prosecutor bullshits you the way he does. bullshit KING. say more silly words you sad, sad man. also he has my favorite recollection theme in the whole series (the bitter taste of truth <3). nahyuta has been infecting my brain recently as well but that's more for his story than for him actually acting as a prosecutor (though i think his Prayer Beads Of Death are fucking hilarious)

i'm gonna have to go with apollo's perceive. i think the gramarye focus ability is actually really neat and i loooooove the warped & twisted perceive music. that being said! i think the mood matrix theme is the best track on the OST to come out of aa5 and i unironically listen to it all the time + the magatama will always be fun to me. the genuine wildness that was seeing kristoph's black psychelocks for the first time..........unparalleled. what's wrong with him

How smart are you? You’ve given some hints before but how many degrees do you have? What are you studying? What do you want to do in live professionally and passionately? What’s your purpose career wise?

Also hypothetically would you be open to being your wives employee if she had a really successful company?

I actually don't have any degrees! I'm a nerd and smart but also certainly have my flaws.

For context, I was an honors student all growing up. Always tested in the 99th percentile for state aptitude assessments. I got a 33 on my ACT, did well on a bunch of AP tests and went to a non-ivy-league but prestiguous state school in the top 25% of the incoming class and as a university scholar, in an accelerated chemistry PhD program, and lived in an honors community on campus.

I learned to speak some Chinese, became an instructor for a traditional Korean percussion group, led a bible study, tutored students in organic chemistry, and did excellent in my humanities courses writing on topics like a linguistic study of gender conception in viking-era icelandic society and designing an interventional plan to address youth homelessness in the community.

College was the best 2 years of my life, I adored everything about it but I also completely overloaded myself. Turns out you need more than raw brains for success. I was conflicted between prioritizing my studies vs my faith, and had unadressed adhd and anxiety i wasnt ever aware of and didnt know how to cope with. When my 19 credit hours were drowning me, I couldnt own up to the shame of overwhelm and failure, couldnt look my teachers in the eye and ultimately stopped showing up to class and dropped out.

I'm now back in school with a better understanding of myself, an absense of competing priorities and a lot of experience. Im pursuing working in Radiology doing either CT or MRI. A lot of my friends growing up are finishing their PhD theses and I love discussing them with them, but I myself don't have even an associate's to my name.

Career wise, I originally wanted to be a professor of either Chemistry or Materials Science. I debated majoring in Linguistics or teaching English as a second language but i don't speak anything fluent enough to really do that yet. I've since considered pursuing a career in comedy, as a science communicator and journalist or PIO, as a university student advisor, and taught myself to code to maybe pursue programming.

I love learning. Currently I'm putting the most effort into Chinese classical literature. I've done personal units on nutrition, skincare, fitness, urban planning, economics, and some software like adobe illustrator and game dev with Unity and Godot.

For my professional future, I think I'm for now planning on being a travelling technician in healthcare. It'd give me an opportunity to see lots of different places which is a goal of mine and shouldn't have too many commitments keeping me held in place. Maybe I'll finally get over my fear of casual hookups and become a traveling nurse by day and city-to-city clit servicer by night sampling all sorts of delicious lady bits. Idk. For now I'm just focused on what I'm doing in the moment.

In terms of passions I want time and independence to pursue learning as an autodidact. I'd love to maintain access to university libraries and attend lots of public lectures and symposiums if i could live near enough a big university. I want to read about the things that interest me and someday get over my social anxiety and travel to make friends all over the world with fellow nerds.

In terms of working for my wife of course that would be really sexy I'd love to be my partners doting but slutty assistant 💕 depending on the industry i guess. I think something like insurance or real estate is kind of predatory tbh and wouldnt want to be associated with it. But if I didn't have an issue with it I'd adore being my partners employee. Or even just a supportive house husband or trusted personal assistant ❤️❤️ a role i've always thought I have the potential to be quite good at

im thinking and im trying to fit her into my Kristoph & William illness but no thoughts are clicking. hmm. bc shes sooo similar to Kristoph in the sense of being Phoenix's toxic exes who hate him but she's very far removed from William in the sense that she never actually liked Phoenix at all && her emotions just aren't examined by the game much at all. wait ive been going at this from the wrong angle (bc I havent played the trilogy in a while lmao). I need to be examining her relationship with Mia Fey.

hm. her relationship & animosity towards her is also filled with jealousy because of course it is we love jealousy as motive. but that isn't what motivated her to commit her crimes, though. their relationship started AFTER she did that first robbery && fake-murder-victim-hours. but like for the life of me I cannot remember what her prime motivations were- wait, no, I do. she carried out that robbery bc she belonged to a broken home and wanted power, wealth, attention. bit reminiscent of my William hcs but thats for another day. then the rest of her crimes spiralled out from her needing to cover-up her past (killed valerie bc she was gonna spill about her past, attempted murder of Diego Armando bc he was digging into her past, murder of that one student cant remember because he was digging into her criminal activities re: attempted murder, n everything w/ maya n misty because #revenge against mia yknow.)

ok im jumping off that tangent to think about how heavily ace attorney plays into themes of facades & masks. like its the part I most love Kristoph for but now I'm thinking about it, the motif is everywhere. in Dahlia, of course, as she also presents a soft, delicate side that hides her cruel interior (although she is less insufferably polite and moreso just self-infantalising which is why I never really latched onto her as I did Kristoph), but also in Godot/Diego, who. literally wears a mask. but also conceals his reasons behind why he hated Phoenix, how his mask showed not only that but also how he was unwilling to face his past, unwilling to forgive, unwilling to let go and accept what happened, happened.

like from the AA wiki: "Godot thought he couldn't forgive Wright, but he knew, deep down, that the one he couldn't forgive was himself. Not able to face Mia's death head-on, Godot had run away, throwing away his past, his name, and even his face, hiding behind a mask."

and ok I do not have a conclusion for this tangent and I, sadly, have no way of relating this to FNAF but goddamn I love this silly little lawyer game. ily Trials and Tribulations youve got great characters and great writing and goddamn Ace Attorney is such a good series.

Barok, obviously, but enough of the fandom seems to understand that we stan a man with nice curls and tits like that, that I'm not so willing to name him immediately.

So special shoutout to Horace Knightley, who everyone only remembers on the day of his death! And second shoutout to Raymond Shields, who only isn't everyone's blorbo because of racism. Come on. Ray's the best.

🤍: Which character is not as morally bad as everyone else seems to think?

Godot. People really like hating on him for his supposed misogyny, and that's mostly racism, but I feel like also plays right into the trope of making fun of a male character for their grief and dismissing it as 'manpain'. You can bitch about manpain when it doesn't make sense and the source of grief is only relevant in the story when they need to angst up the male character.

Godot's grief is terrifyingly real. He's angry at Mia, yes, because she trusted some idiot who ate glass on the witness stand to not let her die, and then she died on him anyway. He's angry with Phoenix, for not saving her when he was there and Godot wasn't. He's angry with Mia's family, for forcing her to act entirely alone and putting her in the situation where her death could have happened. He's angry with himself, for not being there to save her.

This isn't some macho hurr durr men must protect women thing. That is in fact how you respond when your partner gets hurt and you can't just fix it. People are disrespecting Godot and refusing to see that this is a man falling apart because his partner died and he couldn't do anything about it and he's grieving in a pretty messy way, and trying to salvage what he can, internalizing Mia's lack of trust in the world by refusing to trust anyone himself. He fucks up making the exact same mistake she did.

The only way to dismiss his pain as just being a macho dick is to, honestly and bluntly, dismiss Mia's arc and internal character entirely. You have to be misogynistic towards her, if you want to be misandrist in turn towards him.

Which is to say he didn't do things perfectly, sure, but he's not the asshole people think he is, and they think he is because they're racist. They don't do this shit to the white male characters, and I'm tired of it.

🖤: Which character is not as morally good as everyone else seems to think?

Misty Fey. Queen of abandoning her kids for really no reason, leaving them in the hands of her abusive, murderous sister (which she had full knowledge of, because there's just no way she didn't), and then dying really stupidly in a way that was really her own damn fault.

People love acting like she made decent decisions and she did the fuck not. Sure, she's not Morgan, but she sure enabled her to hurt her actual children, which does not get her any points from me. Good job fucking it up, Misty.
