Remember, Our Lady has conquered the underworld and smashed the gates of hell. There is no place into which Her light does not shine. No matter the depths of darkness, pain, and despair you find yourself in, know that She can and will find you to take your hands and lead you into the world of light. You are not lost, She has found you.

Post-election prayer
O Déa, Divine Mother and Guide of All Souls,
In this time of uncertainty, we come to You with hearts open yet troubled.
Though the path ahead feels difficult, and the future unknown,
we place our trust in Your wisdom and grace to see us through.
Help us to hold compassion and understanding,
to stay true to our values, and to work for the good of all,
regardless of who leads or who follows.
Remind us that Your light is within each of us,
and that we are called to be a source of hope and peace.
Grant us courage to stand firm in what is right,
wisdom to find common ground,
and patience to see beyond the present challenges.
Let us remember that all things are held in Your love
and that even in darkness, Your light endures.
O Divine Mother, strengthen our hearts and minds,
that we may work toward a brighter world,
trusting that with You, all things are possible.
So may it be.
Amadéa

The Golden Festival
Today is Chelanya, the Feast of Regeneration.
Chelanya is the first of the Mysteries of Life festivals, which are an inverted mirror to the Eastre holiday in Spring. These three festivals mark and celebrate the three fundamental mysteries of mortal life: (re)birth, life, and death. The first of the three, Chelanya, celebrates regeneration & continual rebirth, of Maid, Earth, and the Cosmos itself.
The Mysteries of life are also harvest festivals, and this first of them is the Feast of first fruits, of beginning to enjoy the fruit of ones yearly labor, of abundance and thankfulness to Our Mother for this bounty.
It is a more material-oriented season, where we may rejoice in our physical riches and work, but we may remember that Our Lady is with us even in the most mundane tasks, if we find the time to look for Her.
May Our Mother's golden light bring all joys, and may your cornucopia overflow with riches.

Within descriptions of long-buried cities and temples, academic authors wrote of the sexually active Goddess as "improper," "unbearably aggressive" or "embarrassingly void of morals," while male deities who raped or seduced legendary women or nymphs were described as "playful," even admirably "virile." The overt sexual nature of the Goddess, juxtaposed to Her sacred divinity, so confused one scholar that he finally settled for the perplexing title, the Virgin-Harlot. The women who followed the ancient sexual customs of the Goddess faith, known in their own language as sacred or holy women, were repeatedly referred to as "ritual prostitutes." This choice of words once again reveals a rather ethnocentric ethic, probably based on biblical attitudes. Yet, using the term "prostitute" as a translation for the title of women who were actually known as qadesh, meaning holy, suggests a lack of comprehension of the very theological and social structure the writers were attempting to describe and explain.
Descriptions of the female deity as creator of the universe, inventor or provider of culture were often given only a line or two, if mentioned at all; scholars quickly disposed of these aspects of the female deity as hardly worth discussing. And despite the fact that the title of the Goddess in most historical documents of the Near East was the Queen of Heaven, some writers were willing to know Her only as the eternal "Earth Mother."

One of the major splits in the goddess and women’s spirituality movement seems to be ‘women who worship goddesses’ and ‘women who call themselves goddesses’.
I’m not a goddess. I’m a human being, with flaws and all. The energy of the Goddess(es) lives within me, and I can be a reflection of Them upon the earth. I can use Their lessons and initiations to empower myself to be a better woman. But none of this makes me a goddess, and it’s not all about me, either. The Goddesses don’t exist as a self-empowerment tool. I am in devotion to Them because They deserve it, because they animate the entire world, not because I’m treating Them as some sort of self help or manifestation tool. If anything, I am Their instrument, a vessel for Them to pour into, to be Their hands upon the earth. This has the side effect of improving my life, too, and making me a stronger, healthier, happier, better version of myself- but that’s not its primary goal. New age feminist/feminist-in-all-but-name ‘all women are goddesses’ spirituality feels like the inverse of this: goddesses are merely reflections of the glory of human women, goddesses are tools to bolster human women. No thank you. To each their own, but it’s not for me.

Blessings for the Commencement of the Advent!
'A Child is coming that shall carry the light of Dea into every part of creation, even to the most desolate of the places of darkness. Rejoice, poor wanderers of the earth and exiles from the house of your Mother, for to you shall come a guide and a deliverer.'

A time of fire, both material and spiritual, shall come upon the earth. But take not fear, for out of the fire shall come the fire-jewel of regeneration.
All that has opposed Our Lady over forty centuries, the cruel idolatry of false male gods and all that is material and gross; all that is coming by its own inner laws to its red and blood-drenched climax.
Fire and iron and blood, and the red sphere named by you Mars, shall have their exaltation and their end.

Werdë
Happy Day of Sai Werdë !
Sai Werdë, also called Moira, is the triple-faced Janya of personal fate. Fate in Filianism is alike to karma, being the result of past actions in this life and previous lives, and we call our personal fate "werdë" (small-w) after the Janya.
Werdë herself has three persons alike to the Greek Moirai or Norse Norns (all decended from the same PIE goddess-form). Her name is related to the Old English wyrd--which gave us weird, originally meaning "fate, luck, destiny".
Today is a day to take stock of our lives and our decisions, and resolve to make better choices where we may have chosen poorly in the past. We are morally responsible creatures, and we are encouraged to reflect on and be mindful of the impact of our actions.
Additionally, Werdë's Day marks the near-end of the Filianic Summer, as Autumn begins on September 5th--the 1st day of Abolan. Autumn brings with it the rest of the Mystery of Life festivals, Cuivanya & Tamala, as well as Vois, the Rosary month.
May all you reading act to better your Werdë, that others may benefit now and future you may benefit later.
Every rose plucked and sent forth shall come as a gift to her when her heart is weary, and every cup of wine that she gives to another shall quench the thirst of her own lips in the fullness of time.

Some pictures of our lovely Blodeuwedd at the end of yesterday’s festivities! See how beautifully decorated she is with the tokens of everyone’s blessings and wishes? And so many offerings were brought for her! It was a delightful beginning to Spring 💜
