idk about y’all but the thought of queer Eddie or Buddie having a snowball’s chance in hell that it might actually go canon gives me honest to god heart palpitations . like . not to be a mid millenial gay on main but if you told coming-out me that there’d ever even the slightest *breath* of a possibility that not one not two but three main characters on a prime time show could be queer and two of them could be in a relationship with each other (*a relationship that was not on the cards when either of them were introduced either) AND two of them could be characters of colour there’s no way in the god damn hell I would believe you . even now I struggle to look it in the eye as a real possibility . like , clown make up jokes aside and nobody knows how things will really go but like . nobody can deny that might be a thing that might actually happen . and I just think that’s neat

also as you remember a few months ago i came to you with a question about schitts creek/5sos question so im here again! if you had to assign each boy to a character in 911 which will you choose and why?
ok hope you have a lovely day 💞 thank you for the endless gifs i saw of this show before i finally caved in <3
maya my darling 💛 welcome to the slowly expanding group of 5sos to 911 stans, it’s so lovely to have u join us 😌🫶 i hope u are well and i’m sorry for sucking u in to this 😌
my love thank you for these gifts they’re so beautiful 😭🫶 not the want u back edit starting w buck getting the kid outta the claw machine that’s the cutest scene 😭 god i am Devastated 😭 BAD OMENS BUDDIE!!!!! because Evan. that fuckin ripped me APART 😫 talk fast !!!!! bisexual anthem !!!!! evan buck buckley !!!!! 🙏💕💞💓💗💖💘💝
ooffff ok ok yes!!!! i love this q!! under a read more u know how it be
ashton - bobby / hen / buck
ashton was a rly hard one to pin down because i see parts of him in a couple of characters. firstly bobby - absolutely the father figure and very much the voice of reason when it comes to his team/band/friends. but also shoulders too much of that weight sometimes until it’s noticeably heavy to others. little stubborn to ask for help. i see those characteristics in hen too. such a strong beautiful person who has a clear mindset in what she wants and how to reach it. but takes on way too much at once and only asks for help when it all crumbles. and lastly i see some of buck there too, maybe not so much now that buck is on his breakdown era 😌 like i think ash has come a long long way to break out of his self destructive habits and of putting others first without even thinking about how it could affect him but i’m sure old habits die hard. but i also see buck as ash in the way he lights up a room and is so charming and thoughtful
luke - buck / ravi
i also see a lot of the same destructive tendencies of buck in luke. passing out the ‘good’ pieces of himself to others, putting on a brave face. putting all of the weight of the world on his own shoulders. but also. youngest brother and all the teasing that comes with that 😌🫶 god and he is just so pretty they’re both devastating. but i also for sure see luke as ravi - again youngest brother (idk if that’s canon but he deff gives those vibes of the younger sibling) and getting ribbed by the others, slightly awkward in new situations and around new people and uses comedy as a way to deflect 🫶
calum - eddie
not because i said ash could be buck i swear 😌 no but strong silent type, takes a while to warm up to people but you have his full trust once he’s got you under his wing. he is so fucking expressive 😭 background eddie in scenes vs calum in any interview when he’s not being asked something directly 🫶 he’s made some fucking tough decisions that altered his entire life path, tho calum’s giving up soccer to play in the band is obv a huge positive force that changed everything for him whereas i think eddie has really had to come to terms with his decisions in maybe a more negative way to begin with. therapised eddie tho giving out that love and positivity freely to his friends reminds me very much of calum
michael - chim
god he is so fucking strong and he loves so deeply and loudly. will drop everything to be there for his friends and give them his full support. when he’s so fucking sure of something he’ll pursue it to the ends of the earth. very much michael putting everything in to the band to give himself and the boys a new start at life and he carries that with him now in every band decision. he’s such a strong force within the band he has so much faith in his friends. also he’s fuckin funny mans got jokes 😌🫶
thank u so much my love!!! i hope u have a wonderful day 🥰💛

The Criminal Psychology Majors, Jason Todd x Fem!Reader Part 12/?
Word Count: 4.4k
Author’s Note: Y/N - Your Name, A/N - Any Name (Your Best friend’s name)
God idk what i’m doing with this but i’m liking it lmao
next one might honestly be smut idk
Warnings: Violence, Swearing, Description of Blood, Gets heated, hints at trauma, no beta bitch we die like Jason Todd
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4) (Part 5) (Part 6) (Part 7) (Part 8) (Part 9) (Part 10) (Part 11) (Part 12) (Part 13) (Part 14) (Part 15) (Part 16) (Part 17) (Part 18) (Part 19) (Part 20)
Y/N walked through the streets of Gotham, which were once bustling with people, but now were quiet with the occasional hooker, she had caught the city as an unlively hour, where it seemed to sleep the night away while the vigilantes of the area watched it like their lives depended on it. In some ways it did, the stories they would tell when being interviewed were horrific sometimes, but Y/N figured a decent amount of it was for dramatization, to keep the people of Gotham off of the streets to protect them all from it.
The question was always protect them from what, and they never answered. So, it never kept the people of Gotham at bay from the streets at night, and had Y/N’s car not been towed, she would have been driving home in the safe, secluded area of her car, not the vast wilderness of the streets of Gotham.
She looked up at the sky to see one of the virgate boys using a grappling hook to fly to the other building, which was such a sight to behold for someone who never witnessed a superhero beyond Superman at home. She wished and longed to know more about the vigilante, but didn’t dwell or dote on that man, because she didn’t need to.
Something told her that he was watching though, tracing every step she made to make sure she got home in one piece. She thought she was crazy, her life didnt matter more than anyone else in Gotham. He’s not following me, why would he? she thought, Even though I’m dating Jason Todd, they probably don’t know Jason, so my life doesn’t mean much more to them than any one of the hookers along this street. I’m overthinking it.
The walk home took two hours, she left Jason’s at 4am just to find herself back home at 6am, bright and early as the sun rose, ready to greet the day and all it had in store for everyone. But the things it had in store for Y/N was a class and if she was lucky, cuddling with Jason. Nothing more, nothing less.
She would open her front door, unscathed from the journey home, except maybe for a few callouses on her feet, it was the last time she wouldn't pay for more than a day of parking, that’s for sure. Heels were not the shoes you wanted for a two-hour walk home in the Autumn cold, but they were what she had.
She thought about what she was going to do next, and the first thought she had was to shower. Not because she needed to, but because she wanted to nurse the terrible headache she had and to think some things through. What she normally did in the shower.
She wanted so much more from so much of her life. the main offender of seemingly not being enough for her was Jason. Not because she didn’t want more, but because she craved more from him. He was injured, so she wouldn’t get much more rom him for the time being, and it stung a little for her. She just wanted him, maybe sexually, maybe in a more romantic setting or maybe just on her couch on a Thursday afternoon. It was all three of those options and she knew it.
She pulled out of the shower and looked at the time, 6:50am. Okay, she thought, little more time than I wanted to spend in the shower, but I guess the universe had different plans for me today. What else do you have for me, universe? And how much of you plan involves Jason?
She would open her phone after quickly getting dressed. While she still cared for her appearance, she didn’t want to dress like she owned a law firm every day, so she didn’t. Just black jeans and a black top and she felt like a million bucks.
Just some quick outfit inspo. I like doing these a lot. I think fashion is funky :))
Tumblr media
Artemis had sent her a message asking where she was at around 4am, she wondered why the time, but she then remembered that Artemis’ boyfriend worked with Dick Grayson, who was Jason’s brother, who worked most nights until radical hours of the night. The chances that he saw her on her two-hour walk home was high, but the chances that that had also made it back to Jason was higher. She knew she was in for it.
Hey sorry, I was at Jason’s. Fell asleep in his arms the whole shebang. And yeah, that was me who screamed the yo momma joke at the press. It was super childish, I know, but I don’t care. Those fucks are sucking my life force out of me and harassing my boyfriend, even your boyfriend.
She would then look at the articles calling her a gold digger and worth-nothing childish insulter of the press. She laughed. If the press wanted a fight from her, she was more than willing to oblige and load the canons.
She didn’t know how to fight back that well, since it was a mainly verbal fight, and she barely even knew how to  fight physically, hence all the running and non-confrontational arguments she had had to the press.
And like fucking clockwork, Jason texted her.
Did you walk home alone or are my brothers lying bastards?
I walked. I knew someone saw me, fuck.
Why did you walk home? I thought you drove here?
I did, but we spent more than 12 hours together Jason. I didn’t buy enough hours, suddenly my car was being towed.
You could have asked for a ride home from Alfred! He would have in a heartbeat.
I was going to! But  I got distracted and it all became a blur and suddenly I was part of the way home in the dark by myself!
What if you had gotten hurt?
Well, I saw one of the vigilantes of the city on the rooftops, I’m sure if I screamed they would have seen me. They always do see that stuff.
So, your car got towed huh?
Yeah, I don’t know when I’ll be able to pay it off. It’s not exactly like money my parents give me should go to my car getting towed because I got fucked over by seeing my boyfriend.
You’ll figure it out. Sorry about the car, that’s got to suck fucking ass.
You think? I’m stuck taking the fuckin’ subway till I get my car back. I hate the subway, too many people. Far too many people. Too many eyes. It gets stressful really quickly. Might just walk every where honestly, I can’t deal with the eyes of strangers.
But you’re a C-list celebrity.
Internet is different. I can just block the bad eyes and move on with my life, you should see my block list now that some people are connecting my name to the girl who flipped off the press, thank god Twitter has a fuckin block feature.
You should really just meet my family so you don’t have to run away before they get home, would probably cause you a lot less financial stress, Y/N.
I’ll think about it.
You should think a little harder about it. I don’t want you to get your car impounded ‘cause you’re seeing me, why did you even park in pay-to-park?
Did you not see the massive mob trying to get to you? It was impossible for me to even try to pull into the driveway. Hence why I’m being insulted, you know, ‘cause I yelled at the press to get them to leave me alone. I fucking hate the press, you’re stabbed, severely injured last time they got information, and they’re harassing me, asking me what I like to do on the weekends.
Fucking vultures. Yeah, I’ve seen that. I’ve read the articles. But that’s the press for you, absolute trash and spitting bullshit in everyway.
Fucking hate the press, that’s for damn sure. Despise them. I won’t ever change that, even if, knock on wood, we break up.
Praying we don’t break up so I can see you lose your shit at the press when you’re bored.
She would get up to go make some coffee, since it was closer to 7:20am and if her roommate woke up, she could just tell her to get up anyway.
The press can suck my dick. she said.
You have a dick?
Oh yeah. Massive. 20ft long. It probably won’t even fit all the vultures.
Oh my god, that’s not as big as mine.
lmfao is it now?
Oh yeah.
Nice.
Anyway, my brothers are staying home from school today,  I think they’re making me play Resident Evil 8 with them? You know that game?
Of course. Everyone in that game is infinitely hot.
Are you bi?
I don’t know. Haven't thought that far ahead to actually label myself. I just like people. Sometimes it’s men, sometimes it’s women. But you have to agree when you see them all. That game came out when I was still in  high school, so I’ve played the entire thing. My phone background is actually one of the characters.
Which one?
I’ll show you if I come over tonight.
My brothers might be in my room, though.
Okay, but, RE8 is an amazing game. So, worth it.
You won’t meet them normally but I pull out a game you love and you’re down?
I’m very easy to convince.
You still have notes to write when you come over though.
Oh yeah, I was probably going to have to come over both ways, just because I need those notes and you do too.
Do you not own a printer?
I barely even own a laptop, I’m waiting for my old one to come in the mail.
How do you even manage?
With a whole lot of will and spite, anything is possible.
And that’s when her discord group chat @’ed her. She was on Do Not Disturb because she was Jason, and apparently they missed her.
Y/N! C’mere. One said.
Yes? Whatduhya want nerds?
We’ve decided to hold a fake internet wedding between you and Christopher. Another said.
A what.
We’re getting married!
Sometimes I wish I never left Metropolis and then I remember you fucks live there. Why are we doing this? You do know I have a boyfriend right? She asked them.
I don’t know, we’re bored and we miss you. We can have a bachelorette party in Gotham, if you want.
I’m this close to going back on DND.
The group chat was made way back when they had all first met in grade 9 and had been active ever since. They all had stayed in the city when they graduated though, but since Y/N received a scholarship, fully paid for, she took the opportunity and jumped.
They were some of her closest friends, even if they lived in a different city to her now, even if they were all busy with school, even if she was busy with school and a boyfriend, A lot of her life wouldn’t be complete without her crack friends in her hometown.
They had all ben partying like crazy while she was gone, and if she wasn’t so hung up in her own life, she’d probably be down there with them.
Before you do, can you please explain why you’re screaming at the press, lmao.
Because fuck the press, dude. Why else?
What did they do to you?
Have you seen the recent articles?
That’s true.
She laughed and finished her coffee. Jason had not responded yet, she assumed his brothers were either checking on him or they had started the game. It was around 8am when A/N finally left her room.
“I thought you were staying with Jason?”
“I was, but then I remembered he has like 9 siblings and I’m not about to meet them all. Then I walked home.”
“You walked?”
“Car got towed.”
“Fuck, can you afford the bill? I can’t.”
“Nope.”
“Guess we’re going to take the subway for a while, huh.”
She sighed and put her cup in the sink, “At least you don’t have school to go to and your lover comes to meet you, I have shit to do and places to be,” she frowned, “Inconvenient.”
“Could you borrow money from Jason’s dad?”
“I don’t borrow money from family, it’s hard enough for me to accept the money my parents send me.”
“I know it is, when’s your class?”
“3pm, I’ll be leaving at 12pm though, because the subway is unreliable.”
“This is going to be a hard hit for us.”
“Well, it’s not like it’s fucking your credit. Mine’s tanking.”
“You’ll pull through it.”
-------------------------------------------
She got onto the subway at 12:30pm. She really hated the way it was running. The people, the faces, the staring eyes of unwanted attention. People knew who she was and she hated it. She didn’t like the attention, she just liked the fucking with people. She wanted to get off the subway the minute she got on.
She eventually couldn’t take it and got off a few stops away, there was still a substantial walk towards the college, but she knew it would be. She even brought a leather jacket with her so that she could walk if she couldn’t take it anymore.
And there she was, in the busy streets of Gotham, walking to her college. Barely aware of the people who did stare at her, because she just kept walking, lost in her thought but aware of the people in her trail, the cross walks and the lights she was waiting for occasionally. She just kept walking until Artemis met up with her,
“Hey! I didn’t know you were walking to school today,” Artemis said.
“Oh! I didn’t want to, my car got towed though.”
“Your car got towed? That sucks so much. Well, we’re going the same way, so I’ve decided I’m going to walk with you, you get no say.”
“Of course. I was going to ask if you wanted to,” she laughed, “It’s more fun with a friend anyway, Art.”
“So, how are things with you and Jason, I’m legally obliged to ask as one of his friends.”
“Well, we made it official if that’s the kind of thing you want to hear,” she laughed again, “I’m sure it’s the answer Dick will eat up.”
“You’re right about that one. Dick’s a sucker for a romantic story, you should write one, since you write. He’d probably read it all.”
“Well, that would be fun, but I still don’t have my laptop.”
“You could use Jason’s?” Artemis suggested..
“Nah. It’ll be fine,” she said, “I’ll manage.”
“Aren’t you collecting notes for him for your psychology class?”
“I am, it’s not like he can go anywhere. I actually told him he’d need to walk eventually so that it’s not a learning curve when he’s healed.”
“That’s what all of us are telling him too, he’s a stubborn man, good luck with that one,” Artemis laughed, “He’s always been the stubborn friend. Worse than Will, actually, and Will is really bad with being stubborn.”
“It’s fine,” she laughed, “If you asked any of my Metropolis friends they’d say the same about me.”
“I bet you were quite the wild child in your heyday back in your city,” Artemis laughed, “I hate Metropolis.”
“Who doesn’t? It’s so crowded.”
“Uh, Clark doesn’t. He thrives there, no idea why, he grew up in Smallville. If anyone should be uncomfortable with Metropolis it should be the small-city country boy, but I guess it’s his thing.”
“I forget you know everyone.”
“We know a lot of people, are you’re slowly being let into our massive circle of very well-known people. Welcome to the group, I guess,” she laughed, “You'll either hate or love the fame that comes from this.”
“Well, if its paparazzi and press, I think I’ll hate it.”
“I can promise you right now that it’s not all paparazzi and press, we haven’t been bothered today, probably because we are on the move.”
“You shouldn’t say that, you’ll jinx it.”
“I know a lot about not jinxing it, but that’s a story for another time,” Y/N noticed that when Artemis said this her eyes glazed over and she looked upset.
“You don’t ever have to talk to me about something you’re not ready to talk about,” Y/N reassured her.
“Hey, the trauma makes me funny.”
“Two can play that game.”
They would ramble on for the rest of the walk to their college. Nothing really of substance, just getting to know each other further. She was glad she found a friend in Artemis, it would have sucked if the two of them didn’t get along, but with each word they exchanged, they had so much fun.
She even told Artemis about that time she played Katherine Howard in her school’s budget play of Six - The Musical. She was proud of the riffs she was able to do, but she didn’t talk about it often. She was never the type of brag about her achievements, no matter how amazing they were.
But Artemis and Y/N parted ways and Y/N went to her class and wrote the same, boring, scribbly and barely legible notes. She figured eventually she’d need nicer handwriting, but did she want to work on it? No.
When she finished, she saw Artemis and who she could only assume to be Wally, at Artemis’ class doors. She waved to Artemis, before Artemis called her over.
“Y/N! Hey, I would ask how class is, but this is Wally,” she gestured to the red-head boy beside her, and Y/N held out her hand to shake Wally’s.
“Hi, Wally.”
“Y/N. It’s nice to meet you since Jason can’t shut up about you and my girlfriend likes you a lot.”
“Well that's sweet of you Artemis. You’re just so in love with me,” Y/N joked.
“Girl. You know it,” Artemis joked back.
“You two already have a close bond? That’s impressive,” Wally said, “Never seen anyone win over any of my friends this quickly,” he muttered.
They joked for a little while longer, just getting to know Wally before she had to go, she had to get to Jason’s.
The walk was a while away, so she went and sat on a park bench for a minute to check her phone, Jason had texted her.
Hey baby, are you coming over?
I am, yes. I actually just met Wally.
You met Wally and I wasn’t there to see it? C’mon.
Artemis introduced us! Go yell at her.
Oh. Never mind. I won’t do that.
Ha! Scared of her?
Maybe a little, she can be scary, okay?
You can’t tell but I’m laughing at you.
Dhmu.
That’s fine, I’ll just go hang out with Alfred and not you. He seems like he would be spiteful like me.
That’s unfair.
I thought you said don’t hit me up?
Fuck.
Checkmate.
I am upset.
No you’re not.
No I’m not.
She would walk down the street further, maybe within a couple steps to reach the Manor, when a man dragged her into an alleyway. She yelped.
“Uh, hello? Can I help you?” she asked, pretending she wasn’t terrified.
“How much would Bruce give me for you?” the attacker mumbled before he tried to knock her to the ground, but she had another plan.
He grabbed her, put his face close to hers, and she head-butted him, he would stumble back, and she started running to the Manor.
“Come here you fucking bitch!” he screamed. She could feel her nose bleeding as she ran and ran, the security saw her and pulled her into the gateway before drawing their guns and urging her to run to the steps of the Manor.
And she ran. The security at the door saw her and let her in, and yelled for Alfred.
“What is this nonsense, oh,” Alfred paused when he saw the blood running out of Y/N’s nose, “Miss Y/N, what happened to you?” he asked before grabbing her hand and pulling her into the entry-way bathroom and opening a first-aid kit.
“Okay so, what happened was I was walking to the Manor because my car got towed right? And this fucking bastard dude pops out from an alleyway and pulls me into it, asks some bullshit about how much Bruce would pay for me, when he grabbed me and tried to knock me down, when I head-butted him and started running,” she said, completely unphased.
Alfred didn’t respond to her and started to stop the bleeding when Bruce called for him, “In the entry-way bathroom, Master Wayne!” he answered.
Bruce came around the corner and saw Alfred was already tending to Y/N, “Well, this is the event where I meet my son’s girlfriend, when she is bleeding and running from a strange man in an alleyway.”
“Heh, sorry,” she said and outstretched her hand to shake his, “It’s nice to finally meet you, Bruce.”
“I can tell you’re going to be quite the addition to this household,” he said as he took her hand and shook it, “As long as you’re okay.”
“I’m okay.”
“That’s good. I guess you can’t get mad at Jase for being a reckless man now.”
“I really can’t.”
“Alright, you should be good, Miss Y/N.”
“Thank you, Alfred. But you really didn’t have to.”
“I’ve been taking care of 5 boys and 3 girls since most of them were little, Miss Y/N. A little blood is really no big deal for me to handle.”
“That’s obvious.”
“You can go see the boys now, they’re going to ask you though,” Bruce said.
“I know.”
She walked to Jason’s room, hoping that he wouldn’t have all of his siblings in the room, he did though.
“Hey, Y/N- what the fuck happened to you?” Jason exclaimed when she opened the door.
“Oh great, all your siblings are here. Anyway, I guess,” she paused, taking in a big breath so she could run through the events quickly, “So I was walking here ‘cause my car got towed, right? When some fucking bastard man grabs me and yanks me into an alleyway and starts going off about how much Bruce will pay him to get me back or something,” she paused again, “And when he tried to knock me down by getting really close and personal to my face, like an idiot I should add, I head-butted him.”
“You did what?’
“I’m not done yet, met your dad when I actually had blood running out of my nose because that's just my fucking luck. Okay, now you can be disappointed in me,” she joked.
“I will say again, you did what?”
“Something stupid?” she said.
“You could say that again, my god, what went through your head?”
“Uh, nothing. Just survival. Fight or flight but I head-butted a man, and hi, everyone.”
“Hi, Y/N, I’m Dick,” Dick said, “You clearly are meant for Jason,” he joked, “That's something he would do.”
“Don’t encourage her, Dick!”
Stephanie got up and greeted her, “You know, Y/N, I always wanted a crazy sister,” she joked, “I’m Stephanie, the black-haired girl is Cass, and the red-head is Barbara.”
“Me too,” Cass hopped onto the joke.
“It’s something else when you meet the girl your brother is dating after she head-butted a man, apparently,” Y/N laughed, “I know it’s far-fetched-”
“Not really,” Tim cut her off, “You know Jason protected Will when they were attacked?”
“That’s Tim, by the way,” Dick said.
“So you can’t yell at me for head-butting a man!” Y/N joked at Jason while going to sit beside him, he slinged an arm around her shoulder and leant his head into her head.
“Well, you seem like a nice enough girl,” Barbara said, “Take away the reckless behavior, and you are lovely.”
“That is valid, to be honest. Not exactly the way you want to meet your brother’s girlfriend.”
“You think?” Jason asked, sarcastically.
“Ha ha.”
“See, she thinks I’m funny, why can’t you fucks?”
Y/N laughed and then asked Dick, who was playing RE8 at the time, staring at the photo of Donna Bentiveno, “She’s cute, isn’t she, Dick?”
“Have I been staring?”
“Let’s just say Angie is probably very pissed at you.”
“Oh! Whoops. There’s a point to this, I forgot.”
“I don’t blame you, I remember forgetting there was a point and the little bitch devil doll would attack you.”
“Language.”
“Oh no, you’re lame. Gross.”
“Excuse me?” Dick asked as the rest of the room erupted in laughter.
“Do you guys see why I like her now?” Jason asked.
“Uh no, she’s mean,” Dick said.
“You’re going to die if you don’t start paying attention, Dick,” Y/N said.
“Oh!” and he died.
“And that kids, is why we listen to the person who’s 100%’ed the game.”
------------------------------
Y/N and Jason would spend hours with his brothers and sisters until the sun started to set and they all scattered to their own rooms to  do their own things. you can’t keep a lot of kids in one room for so long.
Once everyone left, Y/N placed her hands on Jason and kissed him, she was actually able to be laid on his pillow, he was able to pin her to the bed. And they did just that. He was on top of her, using his one arm to prop himself up and using his other hand to touch her face.
Her hands found their way into his hair like they always did, she found a lot of joy in playing with his hair. Their tongues danced together, they never fought or anything, they just enjoyed each other when Jason let out a small moan and she let out a small laugh.
“Keep it in your pants, Tiger,” she joked, “You’re not fully healed.”
“You literally smashed your face into another man but I can’t moan when I kiss you?”
“Because I know you want more.”
“Hell yeah I do,” he said as he went back for more, actually using his strength to keep her to the bed, but she didn’t protest this time.

Con - Part 3
Summary: You’d been on the run most of your life--running from your memories, a past you didn’t want to remember, and your own loneliness. You did what you had to do to get by.
You know what they say, though: you can’t con a con man.
Pairing: Dean X Reader
Warnings: flirting, canon-typical violence, swearing, fluff, eventual smut
A/N: I’m bringing it out of hiatus! I hope you all enjoy :)
*I do not own any pics or gifs
Masterlist | Tag Yourself!
Tumblr media
You couldn’t believe you’d had phone sex with a complete stranger.
There was just something about him, though.
Dean.
His name gave you goosebumps as you remembered his gravelly voice from the night before.
You wished for the tenth time that you’d actually been able to spend a night with him in person. Instead, you picked up your phone, eager to keep some kind of connection with the mystery man.
Y: Thank you for last night.
D: Anytime, sweetheart.
Y: So, where do you and your handsome partner find yourselves on this lovely day?
D: In Tucson on another hunt.
Y: What, you get paid the big bucks for some deer meat there or something?
D: Actually it’s...never mind.
Y: What?!
D: Seriously, you’d think I’m crazy
Y: Psh, what’s an embarrassing admission between strangers?
D: Fine. My brother and I hunt...monsters.
You stared at your screen. The musky motel around you faded as your eyes zeroed in on his words.
Monsters.
You didn’t respond, still too shocked to form a coherent thought.
D: See? I knew you’d think I’m crazy.
You snapped back into focus, reading his message when your phone vibration brought your attention back.
Y: You’re just fucking with me, right?
D: If only, sweetheart.
You sat for a moment again, memories of your nightmare from the night before flooding your mind.
D: I’ll understand if you don’t want to talk to me anymore. But trust me, monsters are real. And they’re out there.
You couldn’t believe you were about to confide your biggest secret to a stranger. The secret that you thought made you an insane person. The secret you’d never told anyone for fear of being institutionalized.
Y: No, I don’t think you’re crazy or anything I just…
D: ...yes?
You took a deep breath before sending your next message. You were afraid that if you saw your words staring back at you, you’d actually lose it. You’d know you were insane.
Y: I think a monster is what killed my family.
Tumblr media
Your phone rang shrilly in your hand and you weren’t sure if you wanted to pick it up. Maybe Dean was just a psycho. Maybe he would just feed into your stress-induced vision of a monster killing your parents and sister. A vision you’d long since come to accept as your own mind playing tricks on you.
You picked up the phone, though. What did you have to lose at this point?
You didn’t utter a greeting, just held your breath until his low voice met your ears.
“What happened to your family, Y/N?”
“Th-They...they…”
“What?” he asked, almost whispering.
“There was so much blood,” you said, your hands shaking. “I didn’t know what was happening--all I could see was red…”
“Y/N, where are you?” he asked.
“I’m in Albuquerque,” you whispered, your mind still reeling.
Tumblr media
“Okay. Just...just stay put, okay? Sam and I can be there in six hours. We can talk about this in person.”
You nodded, even though you knew he couldn’t see you. “Thank you,” you breathed.
“See you soon, sweetheart,” he said, hanging up.
Tumblr media
That afternoon, you sat gripping a rapidly-cooling cup of coffee in a greasy-smelling diner. Your mind had been blank since you hung up with Dean the first time. The only coherent thought you’d had was to tell him where to meet you when he and his brother got closer to Albuquerque.
Reliving the worst night of your life had sucked the energy out of you. The stale cup of caffeine in front of you did little to your energy levels. You stared into the light brown liquid, not really seeing anything.
Dean’s voice made you jump, and you realized he and his brother had slid into the booth across from you without you even noticing.
“Hey there, Y/E/C eyes,” he said. God, you loved his voice.
“FBI,” you returned with a half-smile. “And this must be your partner-in-crime, Agent Mulder,” you said, gesturing to his brother.
Dean looked offended. “That would make me Scully. I’m not a chick! Besides, he’s the one with long hair!”
His brother rolled his eyes, extending his hand. You took it, noticing how truly large it was. “Sam,” he said with a smile.
“Y/N. I don’t know if he told you, but I robbed Scully here the first night we met. Sorry,” you said with a shrug.
He smiled. “Not like we came by it honestly anyway.”
You liked Sam already. He was easy to talk to, and he seemed really genuine.
The touch of calloused fingers against your hand brought your attention back to Dean. He looked at you earnestly, clearly ready to get down to business.
You sighed. “Dean...I don’t even know where to start,” you said.
“Just tell us what you remember,” he said, stroking his thumb along your knuckle. His green eyes made you melt a little and you nodded.
“I was fifteen,” you began. Your mind’s eye traveled back to that night. You could remember the house you grew up in with vivid detail; every room, every corner, every piece of furniture was burned into your brain.
The memories were tainted, though. Perfect white doilies your mom had made flecked with blood; your sister’s lifeless eyes, staring at you from the hardwood floor of the room you shared; your dad’s favorite chair where he then sat ripped to shreds.
“I didn’t even know what was happening. It was like I was in some sort of shock. I heard my parents scream from the living room. My older sister told me to hide. We had an extra little space in the back of our closet that was small enough to crawl into. She made me go in and close the door. I kept it cracked, though. She hid in the main part of the closet and it found her.”
The men watched you recount your story, neither saying anything. They listened intently, though, and it gave you the strength to go on knowing that they didn’t think you were insane.
“I saw it grab her through the crack. I’ll never forget her scream. The thought of it still sends shivers down my spine.” You felt the goosebumps raise on your arms like they always did when you thought about that horrible scream.
“I watched from that spot, unable to move. I was so scared. Everything in me told me to go and help her, but I couldn’t. I could barely breathe, I was so scared. After about an hour, when I knew it was gone, I finally crawled out of there.”
“They were all dead. They had been ripped apart...their hearts were gone...and I was alone.”
“I’m so sorry, Y/N,” Sam said, reaching across the table to lay a comforting hand on your arm. You hadn’t realized that tears were streaming down your face until that moment. You had never told anyone what happened to your family—never even said the words out loud.
“Y/N, you said you saw it a little through the crack in the door...do you remember anything about what it physically looked like?” Dean asked.
You wiped your face with the backs of your hands and let your memory conjure up one of the scariest things you’d ever seen.
“It was a man, but with really scary features. His eyes were yellow, like an animal. He had fangs and long claws.”
Sam and Dean looked at each other silently and nodded. Your eyes danced between them, unsure of what they were thinking.
“What? Do you know what it was?” you asked, genuinely excited for the first time in a long time.
“Yes,” Sam said, his eyes serious.
“Well?” you asked, becoming impatient.
“It was a werewolf,” Dean stated.
You let that sink in for a moment, your mind replaying the word, “werewolf” over and over.
Then, you burst into an all-consuming laughter.

Next To Me (1/6)
Summary: Buck and Eddie started off in different places but eventually they ended up in the same. Eventually, they ended up in love.
Buck had never had a friend like Eddie before. Someone that burrowed under his skin and wrapped around him and became a part of him — like an extra limb, someone he couldn’t do without.
Ship: Buck/Eddie
Words: 4,199
Notes: This is far from my first fic, but it is my first fic in the 9-1-1/buddie fandom. I binged the first two seasons a few weeks ago and got caught up on the current season, read a few fics, and here we are.
I wanted to write something that explores Buck and his past but also a realistic take on Buck/Eddie within the canon. As I wrote, I figured out that for it to work I would need to look at Eddie's past as well and so this fic was formed.
Title comes from the Imagine Dragons song: Next To Me.

Chapter One
------------------------
The thing was that he always liked guys. Buck was an equal opportunity lover because people were people and a lot of people were hot. Girls were easier sometimes. A bit of smiling, some flirting, and most of them were welcoming him with open arms and Buck was not afraid of using anything at his disposal to close the deal. Even, on two occasions the ladder truck. Thinking back on that made him cringe. With guys there was always the awkward moment where Buck had to figure out if the guy that caught his eye was actually gay or bi. His gaydar was faulty at best. Worse, or equally as bad, when other guys looked at him they saw a straight guy. It was very rare for anyone to actually peg his sexuality before they got to know him.
For a long time, Buck was all about the one-night stands. The quickies anywhere. Even sometimes in the view of other people. That was just easier. After all, it was his experience that the people he cared about always hurt him after some fashion of time. It happened with his parents, with his sister, with the boy he loved back when he was in high school, and perhaps even everyone that he considered giving a shot to. Keeping people at a distance was easier.
Then, he became a fireman.
His mother always wanted him to be a doctor or, if not that, a nurse like his sister. She had hopes that if it wasn’t a medical field that he do something that meant something. In other terms, she wanted him to have money and success. His father had probably cared at some point, but as early as the age of ten, Buck had known that his father didn’t like him. His parents should never have been parents. They were the kind of people that had kids because that was the next step after getting married and buying the house in the suburbs complete with the white picket fence.
If they had cared even a little, they might have bothered to be bothered when Buck announced that he was leaving Pennsylvania. His sister had been long gone since then to put up a fight. Buck had packed up his clothes and a few other odds and ends into his car — the one single thing he was taking that his parents had given him — and then he was on the road. It was only once he’d made into another state that he called Maddie to let her know his plans.
“Hey, Mads,” he said. “So, I left home. Not sure where I’m going but I had to go.”
“Evan, oh my god. What—”
She only ever called him Evan when she was shocked or when she wanted to put a point across. After all, it was Maddie that first started calling him Buck since using Buckley felt weird considering it was her own last name and she didn’t like the name Evan. She had used it so widely that aside from their parents everyone knew him as Buck.
“It was time. They were driving me crazy, Maddie. I just figured I’d let you know.”
There hadn’t been a plan when he left. Buck hadn’t even known he wanted to be a fireman, much less what he might do with himself. He picked up odd jobs on the road but never stayed long anywhere. He was nineteen and for the first time he felt free. Maddie called him every day, urging him to at least go to college. It didn’t matter where. She would even pay for it. He turned her down every time. The only thing he’d been remotely interested in was joining the Navy. The Navy Seals to be more accurate. It seemed sort of unattainable to him at first so he put it off to keep living the life of the free spirit.
Back in Hershey, Buck had had a few friends. One of them was the boy he’d sort of but not really dated — the one that in the end turned out to be an asshole anyway. Most of the other friends had gone off to college but they kept in touch and if Buck happened to be near their schools if they’d gone out of state he went and visited. That was how he wound up catching up with Matt and meeting Matt’s new friends and joining them on a Spring Break trip to Mexico.
When they all left to go back to school, Buck decided to stay behind. He managed to score a job at one of the bars and Mexico was just nice. The weather was gorgeous, the people were friendly — the locals more so than the tourists. There was also plenty of money to be made. Buck had taken Spanish in high school and it was enough to get by until he really started to pick up the language. The swear words came easy.
It helped that Mexican girls and boys were not shy when it came to flirting with him and willing to teach him Spanish. He learned more than just Spanish during his stay.
A full year went by before he noticed it. Buck stayed for another six months before a call from Maddie meant he actually had to go back home. She was getting married.
It was somehow easier to face his parents and Maddie when he returned for her wedding. He didn’t like Doug much but Maddie was happy. It was possible their parents didn’t like Doug either but he was a doctor and they seemed like they were in love. Maddie was happy.
Afterwards, Buck went back to Mexico and because he could, he travelled through Central America down into South America. He stuck mostly to the coast working at bars and restaurants  as well as other places and for seven months or so he just wandered. By then he was fluent in Spanish. He got back to Mexico eventually and then Maddie finally convinced him to go to school. She wanted him to at least have his Associate’s Degree. She worried about him. Then again, that was probably exactly what big sisters were supposed to do.
“You can’t keep being some sort of vagabond with no home, Evan,” she said over a phone call.“There has to be something you want to do. Maybe school will help you figure it out and if not then you have a plan B to fall back on.”
Maddie had always been smart and Buck figured he’d listen to her. She was there with Doug and his parents when he graduated from Community College and Buck ignored her when she tried to push him to continue his education and instead, he spent some days with the family before leaving again and this time he was headed for California.
Mexico had taught him that he liked nice weather and the West Coast seemed like the best option. He was far enough away from his parents and he and Maddie kept in touch. Emails and phone calls and texts. Eventually, though, they both just stopped trying. She was busy with her job and her new married life and Buck was content with his life. Buck wouldn’t lie and say that it didn’t hurt when she started to ignore him.
California was different from Mexico and most other places. Buck rented a room and then found a job at a popular bar. His time in Mexico had given him skills with preparing drinks so he was hired after Buck showed off some of his skills. California was also where he felt the most alone.
He had friends. Sort of. The kind of people you met up with at a bar from time to time. Not the kind you texted if you needed help or in an emergency. Drinking buddies, acquaintances met through his roommates. No one dependable and no one that would miss him if he disappeared. Not that Buck was even looking for real friends. The ones he’d had before from school all had their own lives and things going on and Buck didn’t think he even really missed them.
Working at the bar also meant meeting a lot of different people. Buck hadn’t known it at first but a few celebrities stopped in from time to time. Mostly, though, the bar drew in other types. The creatives — producers and other executives looking to find their next big star. Some of them approached Buck. After a while he could tell why someone was looking at him from afar. Some of them were general looks of someone wanting him in their bed. Other times, it was the speculative look of someone that thought he looked like he would fit their next film. Buck turned them down every time. He didn’t turn down the girls or the guys hitting on him.
It did bring along more trouble than it was worth. Buck was working in LA. He was a bartender without the stars in his eyes waiting for his big break, But everyone else around him — that was why they were there and the jealous looks thrown his way grew tiresome.
Buck started looking for other jobs. None of them lasted more than a few months.
He took a receptionist job at a gym for a little while. Then, he was a valet. Then, he tried and failed as a personal assistant. For a while he went back to bartending before he found himself working at a child care place. That was probably one of his favorite jobs. Buck loved kids. He loved the way they saw the world and how much the little things mattered and made them happy. Maddie told him he should be a teacher on the rare phone call they shared.
Buck was considering the idea until he remembered that old dream of his. Joining the Navy Seals. It felt like the right time to revisit that idea.
He lasted about five minutes. The training was horrible, worse than anything he’d ever gone through and yet somehow, Buck managed to do it. They didn’t even bother with you unless you were already at peak physical shape and even then the training was hard. He did everything right. His superiors thought he was good and Buck just kept pushing himself.
He didn’t tell anyone what he was doing. By then contacting Maddie had gotten harder and harder. She didn’t call him back or respond to emails. Occasionally she texted but it gave him nothing. Buck stopped reaching out. He was all alone, so he buried himself in what he was doing.
Bootcamp had seemed like the hardest part at first, but then came the real eye opener once he was in Pre-BUDS and it was made clear that he had to put his emotions in a box and lock them up tight. There was no room for that as a Navy Seal. Buck couldn’t do it. Even if he had wanted to, he was basically told he didn’t have it in him to be one.
He left, just a bit dejected, certainly a little broken, and in the best shape of his life. The training had done something to change him — just a bit. But it didn’t mean that Buck knew what came next for him. Mostly, it meant that he appreciated things a little differently. Things like his emotions and his ability to care. It didn’t exactly stop him from picking up a gorgeous dark haired man a few days after the fact and falling apart under his touch in an unfamiliar bed. It also didn’t stop him from leaving the next morning knowing perfectly well that it was a one time thing.
Afterwards he wandered around the country for a while like he’d done when he first left home. Maddie still didn’t answer calls or emails or texts but Buck wasn’t in any state of mind to let himself really worry. On Instagram she posted pictures of herself and Doug. Always smiling. She looked happy. When he left a comment, she never responded.
Eventually, Buck made it back to California and the job at the childcare place welcomed him back. That was when it happened. One of the kids swallowed something and choked. Buck was the one to call 9-1-1 while one of his coworkers tried and failed to make the object fall out. The firefighters and paramedics arrived in minutes and Buck watched as they worked, getting the marble dislodged and checking the little boy over until they were satisfied he’d be okay.
The next time he was in an emergency was almost a year later. It was at the beach. It was late afternoon and the lifeguards were gone. Most people at the beach were staying on the sand, enjoying the late afternoon sun. A few kids kicked around water at the very shore. Then, they all heard shouting. A couple of teenagers were out in the water and one of them was caught in a riptide. Buck had been a lifeguard back when he was in high school, just a quick way to earn some money over the Summers and get to stare at pretty people. He wasn’t CPR certified anymore, but he knew what to do and there was no one else running to help them. So he ran, going in the water and swimming out to help, adrenaline rushing through him right up until the very end when he had the boy back on land and he was starting compressions. Others were trying to help and someone had called 9-1-1 but by the time they arrived the boy was already throwing up water and coughing as air finally made it into his lungs again.
“You might have saved that boy, kid,” one of the paramedics said and touched his shoulder. “Good job.”
“I — thanks,” Buck said.
“You know, there’s always a need for first responders. We could use someone like you.”
And it was like a bell going off in his head. He’d never considered it before but it made sense. He wasted no time going for it.
It was the best decision he ever made and maybe it was his experience with the Navy Seals or his sheer determination that made the entire process surprisingly easy.
The written exam wasn’t hard at all and the CPAT was even easier. Buck was still in good shape from his Navy Seal training even a year later and everything they threw at him was not all that difficult. He could see some of the others straining but most of them had clearly prepared and were pushing themselves to do it. It was satisfying to be able to do it all. Even the psychological test turned out to be easy.
He ended up at the fire academy really learning his stuff. A few months later he was a probationary firefighter and he was hired and assigned to an LA Firehouse. Fire Department Station 118.
When he first joined the 118, it was just like any other job. Not in the sense that it was somewhere to work and somewhere to be but in that all the other firefighters saw him like everyone else always did. Some guy a little too cocky and a little too interested in literally anyone that crossed his path. That, after all, was something that didn’t change. Buck was still having sex. Lots of it and with anyone that seemed interested.
Dating apps — or rather hookup apps — were sometimes the easiest way, but Buck still went out to bars to pick up a girl or a boy. He didn’t disclose his sexuality to anyone at work. He’d never had to before at the other places and it didn’t feel like something that he could just bring up not even when he found out that Hen was a lesbian with a wife and child. It was just that bisexuality came with a stigma and Buck was already not prone to labels. He also...well, he didn’t know how to talk about it and since it didn’t change who he was or how he did his job, Buck just kept it to himself.
For the first time in any job, though, he found people that he actually liked. Captain Nash in particular was someone he warmed up to quick. Enough so that he invited him to a Springsteen Concert a month into being a part of the 118. Buck felt comfortable with them and everyone welcomed him in maybe more so on a personal level than as a fellow firefighter. They all teased him about how much of a flirt he was.
Buck hooked up with people all over town and somehow it was just a string of girls one after the other and none of them left an impression and Buck didn’t really care for or about them. It was like scratching an itch.
It was once it started affecting his job that Buck started to think that it might be a problem. And he just had no idea why he was even so reckless and stupid especially when it was a job that he loved and possibly the happiest he’d been in ages. He shouldn’t have done anything to threaten that and yet something made him rebel. It made him thoughtless and when the girl he was talking to was offering to put out if he got to her within a certain amount of time — a near impossible task — it was a challenge he willingly took. He just drove off with the ladder truck and didn’t even consider how it might be a problem until he was back and he could see it on everyone’s faces that he’d screwed up.
He did it again not a few days later, telling himself he was going to get away with it and that either way he’d still have one more warning to go before it became a real problem. By then, of course, Buck had it almost figured out. He had a problem. He self diagnosed as a sex addict.
The thing was that he just wanted it all the time. With anyone. Mostly girls. Girls were somehow easier. Sometimes they were the very same girls that he met out on calls. Sometimes it was the girls that were impressed by his uniform. Chim was not wrong in saying that it made a difference and not just with women but with men too. He’d seen quite a few checking him out while on calls.
Buck hadn’t actually expected for Cap to fire him. His whole world seemed to fall apart after that.
Buck knew he was welcome on the team, but he also knew that they were all wary of him. He didn’t blame them. After all, they were all supposed to have each other’s backs and for that they needed to have trust and that didn’t come overnight. He needed to prove that they could trust him and Buck could admit even to himself that sometimes he rushed into things without thinking. It was lucky he had people around him that were experienced and knew better than him and that stopped him from making mistakes even if they also judged him for it.
One thing that he noted almost immediately after getting assigned to the 118 was that everyone did seem to care about each other on a deeper level than co-workers. They were friends. They were family. Buck had never expected to be a part of that and yet there was a part in it all where he fit. The youngest firefighter of the house and possibly the most reckless...they all liked him even if they were still getting used to him out on calls.
Buck loved his job. He loved the adrenaline and everything that came with saving a life. The first few calls had been nerve wracking and Buck hadn’t been fully prepared for what they were and yet he’d managed to jump in and help alongside everyone else. So being fired...having Captain Bobby Nash look at him that way...it felt like his life was being torn apart. Worse, after it happened he realized that it wasn’t just the job he loved, but everyone he had gotten to know there. Bobby, Hen, and Chimney especially stood out and he didn’t want to not see them every day.
Getting a second chance when he thought he wouldn’t was eye opening. It made him change. He wanted to show them that he did deserve to be there and after a little while, he realized that they did know that. Bobby seemed to trust him more and the rest followed suit. Buck didn’t want to let any of them down.
Unlike with anyone else he’d met since leaving Pennsylvania, Buck finally found people he could be himself with — be accepted by. Buck found himself sharing parts of himself with them — things that he’d always just kept to himself before. He told Bobby about the sex addiction thing and followed that up with talking to him about anything and everything because Bobby was just easy to tell things to and he didn’t judge Buck, either. He mostly seemed amused. He also tried to offer advice where he could.
Before Buck knew it, he was part of the gang. One of them. They were more than co-workers. They became a pseudo family that he didn’t know he needed or wanted. Bobby was probably the one that Buck felt closest to — he saw the older man almost like a father...or at least what he had wished his father had been.
Buck also found himself with a relationship. Abby was wonderful. Buck usually went for people his age or thereabouts so it was a little strange that Abby was seventeen years his senior. She just had such an amazing vibe about her and youthfulness that Buck loved. She was the first person in a long time to keep his interest even when they weren’t having sex. Abby changed him. Or maybe everyone did.
Having people that cared about him and that became his family...it made a difference. He didn’t need to fill a hole with meaningless sex. He had other outlets and other ways to express himself. Bobby had started teaching him to cook and Hen let him babysit from time to time — only when no one else was available. Chimney was hurt and recovered and came back and Buck appreciated life more after knowing he could have lost a dear friend.
When Abby left, it was Chim and Hen that took him out for drinks and made it just a little better. Bobby and he had a talk about it the next day and it occurred to Buck that they were all trying to make sure he was okay and that they all thought he and Abby had broken up.
In truth, looking back on it later, Buck supposed that a break up would have made more sense than how the next few months went with him living in her apartment convinced that one day she was going to just surprise him and be there waiting for him when he came home. It never happened. He’d sunk deep into denial about what Abby leaving really meant.
He was kind of crushed by it in the months that followed her leaving. Work kept going and having something to do and to keep occupied with helped even if arriving back at Abby’s empty apartment always made his shoulders slump.
Buck could tell that Chim and Hen were a bit surprised by how little interest he showed anyone else. It was as if they had been expecting Buck to just move on from Abby like he had with all those others and start picking girls up on calls again. Occasionally some of them did catch his eye — cute girls and boys alike. But Buck wasn’t that guy anymore. He’d been ready to settle down with Abby and he didn’t want to regress and use people like he had before.
“You’re going to have to move on sometime, kid,” Chimney said one night while out at the bar.
“But, I don’t. Abby is coming back.”
Or maybe she wasn’t. Buck didn’t want to think about that. It was just that when they did get to talk that she never gave him any time frame. She sounded happy, though, and it was almost a relief to know that even if he wasn’t a part of making her happy even if it did leave him a bit bitter. Somehow, in spite of the whole Abby thing, Buck felt settled in his life and he had a new goal to achieve, getting chosen to be on the annual fireman calendar.
Buck had started working out more specifically for it, focusing on a goal weight and goal percentage of fat on his body. Only one firefighter was chosen per station and Buck was going to be it.
Then, Eddie Diaz showed up. And Buck hated him.

Next Chapter
Notes: The next chapter should be up in a few days once I tweak it a bit and will focus on Eddie's side of things. As of right now I am planning on this being 4 chapters long but that could still change. Let me know what you think of this first chapter.
If anyone wants me to tag you in future chapters let me know. Thanks for reading.

Hello! Please could I request an imagine where it’s either platonic between Peter and the reader or them two being shipped together, and just kind of a head canon about them being the youngest avengers? Like playing on pranks on the other avengers, and even though they all get mad you see how soft they are towards the two kids? Thank you if you can:)🐝
Parker Pranks
Pairings: Peter Parker x reader
Summary: Peter and Y/N are best friends. They’re the youngest of the avengers and love to cause mischief by pulling pranks on the others.
Warnings: swearing??
A/N: Thank you so much for requesting this, Anon. I am in LOVE with his idea so it was great fun to write! I hope this was what you for hoping for and if you ever want another imagine written please let me know in my ask :D
Tumblr media
“Morning, kid, where’s your boyfriend at?” Sam smirked as you walked into the kitchen to grab some breakfast.
“Excuse me? My what now?” you asked, extremely confused.
“You know, your boyfriend. The spider-kid,” Bucky chimed in, sipping a cup of coffee.
“Ha ha, very funny you guys,” you rolled your eyes and opened the fridge.
“So when are you gonna ask him out, huh?” Sam winked.
“Wait, you’re actually gonna ask him out?” Bucky nearly spat out his coffee in excitement.
“God no! We’re just friends. Can’t a boy and a girl be friends without the thought of a relationship?” you sighed, rolling your eyes.
At least once a week you got asked if you and Peter were in a relationship by another avenger. It was driving you mad. You needed to do something about it.
“Good morning, all,” Tony greeted as he entered the room. “Wow, Y/N, you’re up early. I thought you’d still be in bed after probably spending all night on your phone.”
“Actually, I went to sleep early last night, for your information. Not all teenagers are glued to their phones, Tony,” you chuckled.
A few seconds later, Peter entered the room, his phone inches away from his face. He didn’t even look up to say hello, just stumbled across the room and landing on a sofa.
“You were saying?” Tony quipped. “Teenagers? More like screen-agers.”
“That’s possibly the worst pun I’ve ever heard,” you stated, walking over to Peter.
“Hey,” you whispered, shaking him. “I have a plan on doing something, are you up for it?”
“Well that depends,” Peter answered. “What kind of thing?”
“Follow me.” You yanked him up and dragged up out of the room but not without a comment from Sam: “Where you off to, lovebirds?”
“Right,” you said as you finally let go of his arm when you reached a quiet room. “We should do some pranks!”
“Pranks?” Peters eyes went wide with excitement. “Who on? What for?”
“On everyone! And for fun. But, first, let’s start with Sam and Bucky,” you gave a mischievous grin.
“Okay...why them in particular?” he asked.
“They’re always making comments about us being a couple and I’m sick of it,” you answered.
“Well, in that case, of course we’ll start with them. Do you have any ideas of what we could do?”
“Oh, I have a few...”
——————————————————————————
That night you and Peter snuck into Bucky’s room. You kept as silent as possible, scared he would wake up at the sound of you breathing.
Neither of you talked but instead mimed in case he woke up. You noticed that Peter had his phone out and was filming your prank.
Great, you thought. This is going to be hilarious to rewatch over and over again.
In your hand you carried a pair of sharp, metal scissors; the plan was to cut Bucky’s hair. You moved closer to him as he slept, being careful not to touch the mattress or his face as you lifted some of his hair up.
As you began to snip the hair away, a snigger was heard from behind you. Lightly, you hit peter on the arm and motioned for him to be quiet.
You carried on cutting Bucky’s hair in a most gentle fashion, being extra careful. Occasionally he would breath more heavily than usual and you’d sit back for a second but he never did wake up.
After you’d finished cutting the left side of his head you wondered how you’d cut the other side - which he was lying on; you hadn’t thought this all the way through. But then, you thought, it would be funnier for him to wake up and have half of his hair long and the other half short.
You and Peter then left Bucky’s room quietly and made your way to Sam’s room. Luckily, Sam was a heavy sleeper so you didn’t have to be as cautious as you were with Bucky.
“You film this,” Peter insisted, passing you his phone.
This time, your plan was to stick a fake goatee and fake bushy eyebrows onto Sam with super glue.
“This is gonna be hilarious. He’s gonna freak out!” Peter exclaimed, giggling.
He began to squirt the super glue into the fake eyebrows and sticking them onto Sam. Afterwards he stuck on the goatee. After he was finished, the two of you had a laughing fit - trying not to be too loud or else you might wake him.
“Alright, let’s go prank the others.”
——————————————————————————
“BUCKY FUCKING BARNES!” came a booming voice through the compound.
Oh shit, you thought. Now is the time when everyone will discover they’ve been pranked.
You and Peter were sat in the lounge room when Sam burst in; fake eyebrows and goatee standing out from a mile away.
“Have you seen that mother fucker?” Sam sternly asked.
You and Peter couldn’t help yourselves but burst out laughing. Sam’s face got madder and madder.
“Don’t you laugh at me, kids, this stick on shit won’t come off! Now, where is he?” he demanded.
You shrugged your shoulders and seconds later Steve walked in. His shirt fitted tight against him but with two holes cut into them where his nipples were. Again, you and Peter couldn’t control your laughter.
“Hey, Sam could you keep it down a bi-oh my god what happened to you?” he chuckled.
“Me? What about you and your moobs?!” Sam argued.
Steve squinted his eyes in confusion. “My wh-” he looked down. “Hey, who ruined my shirt?! This was my favourite one...and I don’t have moobs!”
“It was Bucky, that’s what he did to me with this shit!” Sam grumbled, pointing to his face.
“Well, that explains a lot,” Steve laughed. “I was beginning to think you used some kind of weird product to help you grow hair...”
Moments later, Natasha strutted into the room with a full head of bright green hair. Everyone burst out laughing until she gave you all death stares.
“Alright, which one of you morons did this, hmm?” she interrogated, the look of murder in her eyes.
“We think that Bucky did it,” Steve answered.
“He is dead meat when I get my hands on him,” Natasha grumbled.
“Help!” came a voice from down the hall. You all peeped your heads round the corner to find a flustered Thor. “Someone has stolen my eye!”
“You’re what?” Sam asked.
“My eye!” came the God of Thunder. “You know, my fake one! I don’t want to go back to wearing an eyepatch.”
“Bucky probably stole it. He’s pranked all of us” Natasha stated.
“What?! Oh, just you wait. I will steal his metal arm and see how he likes it!”
“Hey, you guys,” a voice was heard from the other end of the corridor. As you turned, you saw Bucky walking down, rubbing his hands over his eyes, with a ridiculously hilarious hairstyle. “Could you keep it down? Some of us want a bit of peace and qu-”
“Get him!” Same shouted and tackled him to the ground. “You think it’s funny to glue fake hair onto people’s faces? Well think again, Barnes. I’m gonna make you wish your sorry ass was never-”
“Sam, wait,” Steve stopped him, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Look at Bucky’s hair. He’s been pranked too.”
“Oh god damn,” Sam sighed, getting off Bucky. “One of these days, Barnes, you watch. I’ll have an excuse to beat the crap out of you.”
“Jesus Christ, what’s going on?” Bucky shouted.
“Someone has been playing pranks on us,” Natasha told him.
“Wait, Steve, what did you say about my hair?” Bucky found the closest mirror. “Oh, my hair!” he exclaimed and looked like he was about to cry. “Who did this?”
You and Peter exchanged a look as if to say ‘oh shit’.
“Well, to me, it looks like the work of the kids,” Tony Stark’s voice was heard from behind you.
“W-whaaaaat? No way! It wasn’t us, right Peter?” you rambled.
“Y-yeah. Totally not us,” Peter agreed.
“It so obviously was, you can stop your lying,” Tony laughed.
“Oh, it was you guys, huh? Well I guess that’s just a bit of teenage fun, right?” Steve smiled.
Thor laughed along with him, “yes, I suppose so. They were very funny pranks.” He patted you both on the back. “I suppose all will be forgiven if you two would be so kind as to give me my eye back...”
“Of course, Mr Thunder,” Peter smiled, talking the eye out of his pocket.
“Hmm, now that I know it was you two I can see that it was a pretty funny prank. Nice work, kids,” Sam, surprisingly, said.
“You better not speak of my hair to anyone. Or else,” Natasha warned.
“Oh, don’t worry, Natasha, we won’t,” you laughed.
Bucky was still looking, depressingly, at his hair in the mirror.
“Buck, do you forgive Y/N and Peter?” Steve asked him.
“...yeah I do,” he murmured, sadly.
“Nice job, kids,” Tony praised. “And thanks for not pranking me. This is why you two are my favourites on the team.”
“You’re welcome, Tony,” you laughed. “But watch out in future...” you and Peter gave each other a mischievous look. “You might be next.”
