These hands!!
His hands were so small. Good god, they're so tiny!
He really was a child with a mature mind. He only matured so quickly because of his experiences/traumas.
Being a 22 year old demi-god surrounded by friends who are mortals and age much faster than you is a sad fate. Yugo grew up with Amalia mentally but couldn't catch up physically.
He knew that being with her while he still looked like a child was wrong (so incredibly wrong). For him it was an inner battle of desire vs. moral. Which is why he was wishy washy with his feelings—kissed her then called it a mistake. Got mad when someone else kissed+held her in their arms. Was sad when he heard she was having an arranged marriage. Was jealous when someone else tried to marry her. Denied her being "his princess," yet thinks of her. Just flippy floppy (and we ate it up).
I'm glad he was able to physically catch up even though it removed hundreds of years from his life (and was another traumatic experience-like near death).
But it was worth it for us the viewer to see Yugo and Amalia now hold hands as equal adults.
He’s been waiting to hold her hand like this for a long time…All the inner turmoil about embarrassing her due to his once child-like appearance—gone. Now he can hold her hand in confidence.
Poor baby probably never thought it’d happen too. I guess near death experiences have its ups at times!! lol 😂

Wakfu Human AU stuff I’ve been cooking up because I’m too lazy to draw it yet
(also yes I’m using their S2 iterations because THAT IS THE BEST SEASON + I hate S3 & 4 with a BURNING PASSION.)
Yugo and Adamaï are adopted fraternal twins, they live above their dad’s restaurant downtown and help him out with cooking. Yugo has a form of dwarfism and Ad is albino because dammit this is my AU I can do what I want. At this time they’re 12 / 13 and attending middle school. Also, they both have ADHD.
Yugo is big on Pokémon, Minecraft and MLP, and has a hat he literally never takes off in a Neurodivergent Kid kinda way (think Louise Belcher). Additionally, he has a pet budgie he’s crazy about.
Adamaï is a theatre kid (in a “I’m totally not projecting” kinda way) , and likes Transformers and Lego Ninjago. He also collects bracelets. You know what, I’m throwing in that he’s intersex because I can.
Amalia is 14 and a year away from highschool, she’s a big environmental activist and frequently drags her friends to rallies, and she has a decent social media following on Instragram where she essentially just vlogs. Her father is a politician and she comes from money, but she insisted on attending public school because she dislikes her status. She’s also a hardcore K-Pop stan because she WOULD (I’m not familiar with any bands but feel free to suggest any you think she’d like).
Tristepin is 17 and spent a year at military school, where he met a gruff dude a couple years older than him whom he now considers one of his best friends (Rubilax). He lives with his older cousin on his dad’s side, and boxes in his free time with coaching from said cousin (which is Goultard. by the way). Chronic shonen anime watcher…. he would SO eat up DBZ,, also a fan of combat related video games. He got held back a year in highschool and is dating Evangelyne.
Evangelyne is 18, has technically graduated and owns her own apartment. She does a ton of extracurriculars (figure skating, fencing, archery, tennis, creative writing, was on the debate team, etc.), and therefore was able to get into a really good college on a scholarship. She babysat Amalia when they were kids and Amalia’s family let her live with them for a few years when her dad left town. She regularly visits museums and adores the arts. Also a LOTR fan.
Ruel is OLD, an ex-rockstar / athlete / nepo baby and is absolutely LOADED, although now he just owns a pawnshop downtown and takes Yugo and Ad on fishing trips, where he gives them unwarranted advice about buying stock. He and Alibert are married for “tax benefits”, and co-parent the twins (I am a MASSIVE Rubert believer don’t @ me), although he’s still currently paying alimony to his ex-wife. He also owns an exotic, likely illegal pet and has gotten involved in more than one pyramid scheme.
Additionally, they all play DnD together and in this AU, the entirety of Wakfu is their custom DnD campaign (with Adamaï as the DM, ofc :3)
#ughh i love my goobers#also pinpin and eva smoke weed together idc#i will fight people on s2 being the best version of the brotherhood just so we’re all clear. like i am DYING on that hill 100%#t4t tristeva is also real now#so is lesbian amalia mwahahha#qilby is like a weird biological uncle or something idk. he comes around on christmas and gives yugo & ad encyclopedias#wakfu#wakfu au#the brotherhood of the tofu#tristepin percedal#yugo#adamai#evangelyne#amalia sheran sharm#ruel stroud#oh my god burger king employee eva (/ref) can be a real thing now i just squealed#ok i may need to post my headcanons about them at some point i fear my notes app can’t hold them all

FOR AS LONG AS YOU COULD REMEMBER, the ocean was your safe haven.
While others strayed from its depths for fear of the unknown, of the creatures that could be lurking down there, you had always been curious to know. There had always been an itch that couldn’t quite be scratched when it came to your love for the water. You frequented your local beach nearly every day, wandering aimlessly until you grew tired. Unlike others your age, your life was one of solitude. To an extent, you were content with it, for the ocean was your companion. It never judged you and always welcomed you. It listened when you spoke, carrying your worries far from you never to be seen again.
Nowadays, to your heart’s discontent, the ocean was not enough.
You were lonely. Truly lonely and feeling what it was like to be so for the very first time in your life. There were nights you stared into the abyss; eyes watery as you wished to drown in it. To be embraced by the one thing that was consistent in your life. Would you feel less alone then?
─
From the deepest point of the very sea you gazed into, the heart of a God grew heavy. K’uk’ulkan loved his people, adored them with every fiber of his body. Each and every one of the faces of those he ruled, dead and alive, were imprinted in his soul permanently. Every step he took was taken with them in mind. He prided himself for being a good leader, for doing everything and anything possible to keep his nation safe. After the events leading up to the alliance with the Wakandans, however, he did not know if that pride was deserved. He had made mistakes; misplaced his trust and allowed two of his own to die right in their very home. Namora, as loyal as she was, began to question his decisions. He was alone in bearing this burden with no one to rest his head on at night from the heaviness of the day.
What pained him the most? He knew he shouldn’t be alone.
He recalled the day he and his mother had been read the prophecy when he was a child clearly. The emotions he felt upon hearing those words spoken into existence were still fresh. There was someone for him. Just for him, and him alone.
“For His fealty, the First Son of Talokan shall be given a gift from the Gods; a descendant from the Heavens, a child of Bulan with the voice of an enchantress. For as long as He shall live, She shall rule the seas by His side.”
Years passed. Those years slowly faded into decades. After the passing of his beloved mother, it became difficult differentiating when those decades turned into centuries. Still, there were no signs of his soulmate. His people knew of the prophecy. K’uk’ulkan was all too aware of the anticipation his children felt as they eagerly awaited the arrival of their queen. Yet, she never came.
He grew angry at the so called Gods for turning on their promise – at her. Where was she? he’d hiss. My people, our people, have come dangerously close to being discovered. I have nearly died defending them all alone. My wings have been ripped from my flesh. Why isn’t she here? The prophecy meant nothing to him anymore. Just as he was naïve when he entrusted Princess Shuri with seeing his home, he was blindly foolish for believing in a fairytale.
Namor was without love in more ways than one.
─
You didn’t remember falling asleep. There was no explanation as to how you ended up perilously close to the edge of the water, the violent thrash of waves serving as a warning to you. Still, you remained completely still as fear immobilized you. You racked your brain for any recollections of your previous actions. Nothing came up. You couldn’t remember anything after you came home from the market.
Nothing, that is, aside from a single voice.
It cooed to you, whispered your name like it had waited a thousand millennia to taste it upon its tongue. Sang to you like you were its favorite person in the entire universe.
Come to me.
Come home.
In yakunaj.
In k’áate’.
Come home.
Taking a moment to steady your breathing, you slowly stepped away from the ledge before rushing back home. As you tucked yourself into bed that night, you tried your best to bury what had just transpired. You sought out every possibility – rational and irrational – that could have resulted in your odd behavior. You always went to the beach, maybe you just wandered there after dinner out of habit. Perhaps something went wrong with the batch of your usual tea and an ingredient that causes cognitive dysfunction was accidentally added to it. Maybe tomorrow morning you will wake up to a news report about your batch being recalled from all stores.
The explanation you vied for never came.
As time persisted, so did the bouts of blacking out, regaining consciousness, and finding yourself near the ocean. Each time, you got closer and closer to its waters. Every day after the next, you would feel the fatigue in your muscles from all of the walking. And yet, it did not stop you. You always found your way back to the ocean. It didn’t matter if you walked into ongoing traffic or if a concerned neighbor physically restrained you, the pull was stronger. Shamefully, you began to avoid leaving your home altogether. You couldn’t bear to face the condemnatory looks you were bound to receive. Whatever those in your area thought of you, you didn’t want to know. You were afraid enough of what you were becoming.
When you wake up from the next spell, you were waist deep in the ocean. Shivering as your thin nightgown stuck to your skin. Wrapping your arms around your torso, you salvaged any and all body heat. The gravity of your circumstances hit you all at once. Biting your lip, you held back your tears as your turned around and began making your way out of the water hastily. Just as your bare feet touched the white sand, you caught the eyes of the elderly woman who lived closed by. The two of you had never spoken, but her presence as a resident was always acknowledged.
“Sorry, po,” You spoke sheepishly, a polite and apologetic smile on your face.
Her expression was grave as she stared at you wordlessly. Silence stretched between the both of you and just as you were about to walk away, she harshly spat one single word.
“Magindara.”
Before you could seek clarification, she was back inside her small hut, the door slamming behind her acrimoniously. The only proof that the interaction with her was even real was the residual sting of her hostility and rage. Her persecution was the straw to break the camel’s back. Unable to maintain your resolve any longer, you fell to your knees and began to you’re your hands clutching at your chest in hopes to alleviate the pain. Humiliation, terror, anxiousness, and frustration were just a few of the emotions you were feeling. Even then, they were just the tip of the iceberg. As you cried to yourself, sand sticking to your wet limbs uncomfortably, you longed for nothing but someone to wrap you up in their arms – for someone to tell you that for once, everything would be okay. Just this once, you craved a life outside of isolation.
Once your breathing evened out, you stood up and leisurely began to talk along the shore. Soothing yourself in the only way you knew how, you began to softly sing.
“Beware, beware the Daughter of the Sea. ‘Beware’ I heard him cry. His words carried upon the ocean breeze, as he sank beneath the tide.”
Namora watched acutely as the quill in her king’s hands abruptly dropped to the floor. The warrior waited for the moment he would pick it up off of the ground and continue with his painting, but it never came.
“K’uk’ulkan?”
She received no response. His eyes held an indecipherable expression, one far away from the present.
“Ka’a suku’un u?” Namora repeated, her tone now carrying concern.
The King of Talokan turned to her for a split second before he stormed out of the room with speed she had never witnessed from him before. Namora was hot on his feathered heels, but the second she dived into the water, her cousin was nowhere to be seen.
“Attuma!” She bellowed. “Ko’oten tin wéetel in kaxtik ti’ le ajawo.”
K’uk’ulkan was stunned when he first heard it – the most beautiful sound to grace his ears. He was livid with himself for being unable to find a better word to describe the voice, for “beautiful” was such an understatement that it was borderline insulting. Without hesitation, he followed it. It didn’t matter that he didn’t know where it was coming from or who it even belonged to, he needed to find it. It called to him, turned him into a man possessed as he soared through the waters restlessly to get to it.
His head broke the surface, and that’s when he saw its owner – her. His soulmate.
She was the most exquisite living being he had ever laid his eyes upon. A gift from the heavens she was. Her beauty made him dizzy, his knees growing weak as he took in his beloved’s features. He admired her as she outstretched her arms, cupping the moon in her delicate palms. It paled in comparison to her. Everything did. Nothing could possibly compare. He remained paralyzed as she continued to sing, a foreign feeling settling in his stomach.
“Why this? Why this, oh Daughter of the Sea? Why this? Why did you forget your seaside days? Always the pride of our nation’s eyes, how could she go astray?”
The words of her melody pierced his heart. They reflected their journey far too accurately to be a coincidence. Did she know that she had always been destined for him? To be loved by the entire nation of Talokan? His lids fell shut slowly as he basked in her harmonies, feeling tranquil at last.
“I heard, I heard, across the moonlit seas, the old voice warning me. Beware, beware, the Daughter of the Sea. Beware, beware…of me.”
Namor studied her face as her song ended. He noted her red rimmed eyes and wet cheeks. Her damp nightgown stuck to her body tantalizingly. The despair in her hypnotizing voice was palpable. All of the wrath and resentment he had once harbored dissipated. Oh, my love. I have longed for you too. He could do nothing as he watched you turn your back to him from above, only pray for another encounter. He rose entirely from the sea, the wings on his ankles fluttering in the air as he watched her in the sky until she was safe in her abode. A quiet splash could be heard from under him. Attuma and Namora stared up at him expectedly.
“Le ba’alo’ leti’e’.”
He nodded slowly, eyes burning holes in the spot where she once stood.
“A human?” Attuma questioned, his voice rigid.
Namor shook his head.
“’A child of Bulan with the voice of an enchantress’.” Namor quoted the prophecy directly. “Bulan was a deity the heavens sent to the ocean to protect the moon from sea monsters. She is a siren; they are descendants of Bulan.”
“What is she doing on the surface?” Namora chimed in.
The king frowned, his fists clenching at his sides as he longed to feel her touch.
“She is lost.”
─
Returning to the beach after the unpleasant encounter with the elderly woman who lived on its grounds probably wasn’t the most sensible decision. In your defense, however, nothing in your life was sensible nowadays.
Magindara was what she called you. A whole day’s worth of research, hundreds of Google searches, and several life crises later, you found out what it meant – siren. A subspecies of mermaids that were known for being especially vicious. You wanted to badly to laugh it off, to chuck it up to her being a senile old woman, but that was not an option. To do so would be like ignoring statistics. The facts of your life were laid out clearly; there was a connection between you and the ocean. A connection so strong that it bewitched you – mind, body, and soul. There were no traceable origins you could use to refute the woman’s claims. Afterall, you had no family. There was nothing more to do than return to the very place that could give you answers.
Your eyes darted everywhere in search of the familiar head of silvery locks. Once identified, you ran to her.
“Excuse me, po?” You called desperately, your eyes begging her for something. Anything. “What…what am I?”
She stared at you with a severe expression on her aged features.
“The man from the sea with wings on his ankles. Mag ingat ka, anak. He’s coming for you.”
You furrowed your brows in confusion.
“Could you expla—”
“Do not come back here.” She warned. “He will drag you down with him.”
With that being said, she entered her home and slammed the door in your face for the second time. Vexation filled you as you were met with another dead end. A man from the sea with wings on his ankles. What the hell was that alluding to? Did the elderly have to always speak in riddles? Were you in danger? Why was he after you?
You dragged your feet as you trudged home dejectedly. You were already exhausted, not sleeping a wink once you returned home after your stint last night. Sleep was unfathomable considering you were haunted by unanswered questions. Once you crossed the threshold of your bedroom, however, you could no longer ignore your body’s need for rest. Flopping down on your bed, you shut your eyes and instantaneously succumbed to a peaceful slumber.
That night was the last time you slept in your own bed.
The beach was eerily quiet, void of the usual sound of waves crashing against the shore. Seemingly, the ocean yielded to you, it’s queen, the second you stepped foot in its territory, entranced and guided by a single voice.
Come home. Come to me.
Your feet carried you to a cliff high above the sparkling midnight waters.
My love. My soulmate.
Home. You needed to come home. It was time.
Come home.
Just a couple of more steps.
Come home.
This is your destiny. Fulfill it. Fulfill the prophecy.
Come home.
With that, you took one final step off the cliff and prepared yourself to plunder into the deep waters. Your feet were only in the air for a brief moment before a pair of strong arms caught you midair. Upon physical contact, you snapped from your trance with a sharp gasp, your heart pounding in your chest as you began to panic.
A deep, gentle voice lulled you. It was then that you finally registered who it belonged to. The being who had saved you was the epitome is beauty. Everything about him exuded regality from the air of confidence and ease he carried himself with, to the adornments on his muscular body. A large gold and jade neck plate took up the most space on his expansive chest. Ropes of auriferous shells and opalescent-like pearls hung around his neck. Gilded cuffs were locked around his biceps, wrists, and ankles. You quickly noted the alabaster wings fluttering away attached to them, the very wings responsible for suspending the both of you in the air. Your eyes trailed to his delicately pointed ears, embellished with jewels just like the rest of him. The only clothing he sported was a pair of emerald shorts that left nothing to the imagination. The walls of muscle that were his thighs were on full display, the muscles of a man built to withstand the brutality of the ocean.
This was the man the elderly woman was speaking about. The man from the sea with feathers on his ankles.
That revelation should have scared you. Every alarm in your body should have gone off.
Escaping him should have been the only thing occupying your mind. You should have kicked and screamed until your throat was raw and bloody.
But you did no such thing.
Instead, it was the way he looked at you, gazing at you with the most intense smolder in his eyes that occupied your attention. He gazed at you with pure wonder, and held you delicately yet fiercely in his arms like you were the most precious thing in the entire world. Instinctively, you placed your hands on his bare chest, mindlessly tracing the dew drops sticking to his golden skin. The beautiful man shivered beneath your touch.
“500 years I have waited for you.” He whispered reverently.
Your mouth opened, prepared for a response that never came. Instead, your vision went dark.
─
You woke up to hushed voices and heedful, diligent hands. One set of hands languidly brushed your hair away from your face. Another daintily shimmied clothing onto your body once they were finished drying you off with the velvetiest cloth to ever touch your skin. The last set secured what you assumed was jewelry onto your wrists, neck, and ears. Upon opening your eyes, your assumption was correct. The dress on your body was stunning, embroidered with hundreds of crystalline beads. The jewels on your wrists alone were probably worth more than what you had made in your entire life.
The women who stood above you were unlike you had ever seen before. Their skin was a brilliant shade of cerulean. Vibrant, yet pleasantly understated. Masks covered their mouths and noses, but you could still see the bright smiles behind them.
“Hello,” You greeted shyly. “Thank you for taking care of me.”
Each of them let out a small cry, their eyes welling up with tears as they bowed earnestly.
“Bienvenido tin wotoch ti’, in reina.” They spoke warmly in unison, forming a gesture with their hands at you respectfully. Their mother tongue was foreign to you, but not for long. As if you had spoken it your entire life, your mind made quick work of interpreting it.
Welcome home, my queen.
Once again, you were puzzled. You had no idea where you were or who exactly that man was and why he had taken you here. You obviously hadn’t a single inkling as to what he meant by “500 years I have waited for you”. Now, these women were calling you their queen in a language you had never heard your entire life but somehow had the ability to understand perfectly.
The sound of feet pattering lightly gradually got closer and closer until the man of the hour stood before you at the foot of the bed. The women attending to you immediately turned their attention to him, bowing and forming the same hand gesture you had seen moments ago. He looked just as regal still, now adorned in a cape tucked into golden plates of armor on his shoulders. He regarded them gratefully.
“Leave us, my children. Thank you.”
They bowed to you both once more before swiftly making themselves haste. You now had his undivided attention.
“I hope you slept well. The healers said showed signs of exhaustion.”
“I—” You cleared your throat nervously. “I did, thank you.”
The barest hint of a smile graced his features. With graceful and controlled movements, he poured water into a glass and handed it to you.
“Do not be nervous.” He spoke lowly. “Speak freely.”
“Thank you.” You squeaked out again, taking a generous gulp of water before speaking again. “Where am I? Who are you?”
“My people call me K’uk’ulkan. To my enemies, I am Namor. You are in our kingdom – Talokan.”
The water got caught in your throat mid swallow, causing you to cough obnoxiously. The man who you now knew as K’uk’ulkan, discreetly smiled to himself as if this was a reaction he had anticipated. Before you could blurt out another string of questions, he held his hand out to you.
“Come. I will remedy all of your concerns.”
As if you had done so a million times, you placed your hand in his and stood by his side. Namor lead the both of you through a series of corridors. Your eyes took in your surroundings with pure astonishment. Cavern seemed to be a secluded corner for the king, crystal waters surrounding its premises. Bits of glittery minerals were embedded into the sediment walls. An air of serenity blanketed the entire area.
From the corner of his eye, Namor gaged your reactions, his heart so full of unfiltered adoration that it felt like it would explode in his chest. His hand was still tightly clutched in yours like it was second nature. Subconsciously, you had drawn your body closer to his. He was a meticulous man of control and strategy, but at that very moment, K’uk’ulkan wanted nothing more than to take you into his arms and kiss you breathlessly. The moment was cut short when you reached his study. He offered you a seat at his desk, drawing the door shut behind him for privacy. It didn’t take long for you to deduce that the murals painted on the walls were ones depicting the history of Talokan.
“Centuries ago, my people took an herb that allowed them to survive underwater. The herb was infused with vibranium. We are the only nation aside from Wakanda to possess it.” He began, his hands tracing over a painting of a beautiful woman cradling an infant. “My mother was pregnant with me when she ingested it. That is why I am the way I am – why I am the only one out of my people that can survive on both land and underwater, fly, and age slower than the rest. For this, they made me their king. Their god.”
You listened intently, fascinated by the discovery that they had remained a secret for this long.
“There was a prophecy made shortly after my birth. The gods promised me a soulmate.”
Turning around to face you, he bore his soul to yours through his eyes as he read the prophecy to you. With each word that fell from his lips, the world around you spun quicker and quicker. It made sense. It all made sense.
“I gave up on the idea of the prophecy coming true as time passed. In yakunaj, when you have lived as long as I have, seen as much as I have, happy endings are nothing but meaningless fallacies. But then, that night came…the night I heard you sing for the first time.”
He approached you slowly, cautiously like a wild animal that would take flight if startled by any sudden movements. What happened next made your eyes fill with tears; he knelt before you. This man – a king, a god – surrendered to you with no hesitation.
“I have finally found you…” He breathed, his orbs shining with devotion. “You are home. Why do you think you have no family? No one to trace your roots back to? You were made for me. Mine.”
Your face fell in between the palms of your hands as you wept. Quickly, your hands were replaced by his. He held your face in his hands like he was holding the entire world, the pads of his thumbs gently brushing away your tears.
“Why the tears, my love?”
You shook your head, placing your hands on top of his. The spark you felt every time the two of you touched could no longer be ignored.
“Why did they just now bring us together?” You cried. “We’ve both been alone for all this time, how could they not do something about it!”
“Shhh,” Namor cooed. “You think I have not been angry with them, my sweet? I have held myself back from tearing their skies and oceans apart just to find you. But what I feel for you right now in this very moment? That feeling will always win.”
The both of you said nothing more, for there was nothing that needed to be said. Your long lost love held you in his arms as you liberated yourself from what felt like decades of anguish. His grip never faltered even as you gripped his flesh hard enough to draw blood. Instead, he soothingly rocked you as he recounted the stories of his people’s origins. Talokan was a clandestine national treasure, one of the only things on the earth that had not been bastardized. That was all the doing of this wonderful being who had been promised to you.
“They were wrong about you. Your name.” You whispered. “You’re not without love, quite the opposite actually. The actions you have taken, the lengths you have gone to protect your people and your home, are ones of a man consumed with nothing but love. You can see it in how happy they are.”
With cautious hands, you caressed his cheeks. He preened against your touch, melting right into your palms. The world would never see the stoic warrior king falter, but already, you had him firmly wound around your finger. He could sit there for hours soaking in your ardor.
“Our home. Our people.” Namor corrected. “They can’t wait to meet you.”
Lovingly, he pressed his forehead to yours, nudging the tip of your nose with his.
“Are you ready to meet them?”
He observed endearingly as your eyes widened as large as flying saucers as you nodded overzealously, a giggle tumbling from your lips. K’uk’ulkan noted once more how full of love he felt. He wondered if this was what your lives together would consist of, overcome with all of the possibilities. Was adoring you more than he did in this moment even conceivable? When your smile faltered slightly, worry filled him.
“I’ve never seen…myself.”
“I am honored to be the first to see your true form.”
The two of you stood, walking hand in hand out of his personal study and to the outermost cove surrounded with the most water. Inhaling shakily, you eyed what awaited below you with apprehension. You were not human, far from it, and yet it felt as if you and your true form were worlds apart. Namor was silent. He knew this was something you needed to do alone. The only form of assurance offered to you was a look of encouragement.
Slowly, you dipped one foot into the water and allowed the other to follow. Keeping your eyes closed, you focused on your heart rate as your body adroitly descended into the abyss of the sea. You could have easily fallen asleep if it weren’t for a tingly sensation disrupting your peace. It started small, gradually winding around you until all at once, currents of electricity bolted through your limbs. Instinctively, your lungs expanded, and you took your first gulp of air underwater. You ripped your eyes open in bewilderment when you didn’t choke on water. The clear-cut view you had of your surroundings despite no sources of light being near further consolidated your shock. A noise akin to a squeak and gasp escaped your lips and before you knew it, you were cutting through the waters with newfound ease until your head broke the surface.
Namor would have given everything to his name to capture the sight before him. There you were, beaming at him with unrivaled radiance. He stopped breathing when you lifted your tail out of the water. Just when he thought you could not be any more magnificent than you already were, you defied his expectations. The scales covering the muscle were a range of shades of lapis lazuli, emerald, and gold. Towards the tips of your forked fin, they all blended into a rich shade of dark indigo. Your torso was bare but hidden behind your locks as they cascaded over your breasts. Namor could have gawked at you for hours if it weren’t for you playfully flicking water at his face. He felt light and dream-like as your melodious laughter echoed through the cavern. He decided then and there that your laughter was his favorite song. The scowl permanently etched onto his face fell. In its place, a smile so wide it hurt spawned. For the first time in centuries, he laughed so hard his abdomen hurt.
Powerless to his desires, he dove into the water after you, finding shelter in your embrace once more. Intuitively, your tail curled around one of his legs. He submerged the two of you back into the water and before you knew it, his lips were pressed against yours. Skin to skin, naked chests were tightly pressed against each other, your arms locked around his neck as your mouths feverishly meshed against one another. A barely audible moan slipped from your mouth right into his as his tongue pushed passed your lips. Namor voiced his pleasure with a low rumble from his chest. Pathetically, you could cry again right then and there. How could you have gone without this your whole life?
A loud clearing of the throat caused you both to cease your ministrations. Namor was anything but sorry as he pulled away with the softest expression you had seen on his face thus far. He regarded the two individuals standing in front of you – a hulking man with long inky tresses and an ornate headpiece resembling the skull of a hammerhead shark and a fierce looking woman with a feathered lionfish-esque headdress. Though both clearly high up in the royal ranks with a cutthroat reputation to uphold, they studied you and Namor with mischief.
“K’uk’alkan, they are waiting for her.” The man spoke.
“You might want to put this on before you go.” Spoke the woman, pulling an opulent bra top from behind her back and extending it towards you.
The state of undress you were in hit you like a bus. Your face felt like it was on fire from embarrassment, your lover pressing a tender kiss to your heated cheek. Tactfully, he maneuvered you away from the eyes of the warrior you now knew was Attuma. The woman, his cousin and second in command named Namora, expertly laced you into the garment.
“That was so embarrassing,” You mumbled to yourself once your modesty was secured.
Namor cracked a hint of a smirk.
“Attuma and my cousin expected nothing less from us. Now, shall we?”
─
Talokan was a magnificent sight. The agriculture was impressive, the vibranium rich soil working wonders for the crops. Sea creatures from colossal sized sea turtles, lengthy luminescent jellyfish of different colors, lively fish, and enormous whales to start were one with the Talokanil, peacefully existing with one another. The treatment you received from everyone was something you would never get used to. Despite not knowing you, they acknowledged you as if they had known you their entire lives. K reina perdida they called you with earnest smiles and misty eyes. Our lost queen.
But you were no longer lost.
It was evident in the way the orcas sang with you as you glided through the waters, seemingly understanding you in a way no one else could. Namor’s soul was finally content after seeing you swim freely, laughing so hard your stomach hurt as a couple of toddlers crawled around on your tail. His people loved you. Just as he thought they would. And you fit right in just as you were meant to. With further exploration of your physiology, the two of you discovered that like Namor, you could survive both underwater and on the surface, donning a set of legs seamlessly upon contact with land. Your strength, speed, and agility matched up perfectly with his. For hours, he chased you through the ocean, the both of you weaving in and out between walls of coral and tall beds of seaweed with dexterity. You truly were made for him.
A week later, you were officially crowned their queen. You and Namor ended the celebration with an intimate wedding ceremony in the cavern. After years of going without each other, neither of you had the patience to wait for a union on a grander scale. You both were enough – you would always be enough. And as he laid your bare body across the bed he occupied by himself for half a millennium, he was confident in that conviction.
You felt dizzy as he pressed his hard bulge against your core. The most heavenly noise to grace your ears came out of your now husband when you raised your hips to grind against it. Your hands liberally roamed his chest, now stripped of his jewels, before slithering to his robust back. Your nails drew tiny half moons as they dug into his flesh when his lips made their way to the column of your neck. The decorum of countenance he upheld was nowhere to be found as he ravaged your breasts with his mouth, lightly tugging your erect nipple between his teeth before he began to suckle. You cried out pathetically. His lips twitched, umber orbs now staring up at you with lust.
“You are so noisy for me,” He purred. “I have not even touched the most sensitive parts of your body yet.”
“Please,” You breathed. “Please, I need you,”
Namor made his way down your body, leaving no part of you untouched by his lips. Deftly, he gripped your thighs and place both of your legs over his shoulders. Gently, he kissed your dripping core.
“You have me, my love. Always.”
His mouth took you straight to heaven. He devoured you like a man starved, tongue flicking your nub of nerves tirelessly with precision. Your thighs were already trembling, but he had just gotten started. Your orgasm crept up on you, the strongest one you had ever experienced. It left you heaving with your back arched off of the bed, unable to do anything besides chant his name like a mantra. But your beloved’s ministrations did not cease. He continued working at your core, now swollen and glistening from your juices and his spit. The second orgasm built up slowly, the knot in your stomach getting tighter and tighter with each time he sucked your clit. The final straw was when you noticed his hips gyrating. He was pleasuring himself while pleasuring you. This time when you came on your lover’s tongue, no words or sounds were able to slip passed your mouth. You were quite literally speechless.
With a satisfied moan, he lapped up the rest of your arousal, cooing to you as you quivered and whimpered from hypersensitivity. His scorching body covered yours once more, his lips familiarizing themselves with yours. Namor held you tightly against him, whispering sweet nothings against your lips as you steadied your breathing. It wasn’t long before you felt the head of his cock prodding your entrance. Gripping your face firmly, he forced your eyes open. The frenzied look in his eyes as he languidly sunk into you alone could have made you come for the third time that night. But alas, the universe was on your side. Instead, you savored that moment – the feeling of him. Every inch, every vein, ingrained into your memories for as long as you shall live.
“You feel incredible.” Namor panted, now beginning to steadily thrust. “You truly were made for me.”
You could only respond with wanton cries, too consumed with desire. The king began to piston in and out of you until he was fully pounding you into your marital bed.
“Namor!”
He grunted into your ear, pulling out of you for a brief moment to flip you onto your stomach. He plunged back into you and picked up right where he left off. This time, however, he was brutal with the punctuality of his thrusts.
“Am I your enemy, wife?” He taunted. “Are you even worthy of any mercy I have to spare?”
At this point, you could not even recognize the sounds you were making. They were debauched. Depraved. Combined with rhythmic percussion of skin against skin and the squelch of your wet cunt each time Namor entered you, the song you two orchestrated was one only for the lecherous.
“K’uk’ulkan,” You barely managed to murmur. “I’m s-so close, you make me feel so good,”
He hummed satisfactorily, driving into you even faster.
“You are, aren’t you, my sweet? That’s it, sing for me. Take my seed. Carry my children.”
“Please!” You screamed as your walls convulsed around his cock. Please come in me,”
With a shout and one final thrust, he released in you. Rope after rope, he filled you with his cum with proclamations of everlasting love on the tip of his tongue. His cock remained nestled deep within you as you both descended from your highs, keeping his spent from spilling. He shuddered at the image of you round and radiant carrying his child and just like that, he was hardening inside you once more. As you lay there, thoroughly cock drunk, he began to pull out of you and slowly push back in. This time, he was tender and gentle, unhurriedly focused on taking you apart for one final time that night. The two of you had centuries left together. There was no need to rush. Then again, Namor could live another 500 years with you by his side and still feel like it was not enough. He needed you forever, and then some.
“I love you,” He whispered against the blade of your shoulder. “You are everything.”
The next morning you would wake to the sight of your husband painting a new mural. One of a beautiful woman with the upper body of a human, and the lower body of a fish. By her side, a man with ears that pointed to the skies and wings on his ankles, their eyes locked and hands intertwined.
The beginning of your story.

username WHAT IS THE LADOO INCIDENT?
Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm across India and various other parts of the world. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Diwali typically involves lighting oil lamps or diyas, decorating homes, exchanging gifts, and enjoying festive meals with family and friends. The festival holds cultural, religious, and social significance, promoting the spirit of joy, unity, and hope.
A ladoo (also spelt laddu) is a popular and traditional Indian sweet. It is a round-shaped sweet ball made from various ingredients, including flour, sugar, and ghee (clarified butter). Ladoos are often prepared during festivals, celebrations, and religious occasions in India. They are considered a symbol of good luck and are distributed as a gesture of joy.
Needless to say, it's my favourite time of the year😁

LIVEBLOG: Wakfu Season 4, Episode 7
Grandpa piss, being a part of the Remote Viewers Division doesn't prevent you from being a deadbeat. KILL him Eva.
What were YOU doing at the devil's sacrement, King [insert name here] Sheran-Sharm!
I love women who are tortured for an eternity and then die in some way that will not kill them in a way that matters #signaliscore posts
Man haha I wonder if this might be saying something about Yugo (and Joris, but that goes without saying on this blog)
I have seen people criticize this moment, but let me be the devil's advocate: after seeing years of fans saying that Flopin is the boring twin, or that Eva has no backstory, them getting a problem-causing grandpa is literally so good.
And I think I understand why Flopin did this, since he says himself that he actually feels like the boring twin... I understand why he felt like going with this man, to learn about this guild, and where he comes from.
[starts hacking up blood] you know what other duo of demigods in this franchise had a twin who felt like they were living in the shadow of their sibling and his wonderful white fur—- [is shot by animal control]
I loooove comparing all the characters in this show, because it's genuinely a good way to approach Krosmoz, since Tot likes exporing the same themes (immortality/family) over, and over, and over, and over. And what I can say rn is: man, having normal parents makes jealousy-based plots much more tame. Atcham went in a "I want to be great like you, so I need to end you, you don't care about me like I care about you anyway" direction instead of a "I want to be great like you, so I'm gonna leave and work on myself, and then we can stand side by side someday"
I do think he is going to hurt his sister in some major way with this decision and in the end it will be a bitter, or bittersweet memory <3 I believe in the power of toxicity <3
To elaborate on the thing I said about titles, Astra is the ruling queen (to be precise, she is the daughter of the king of Bonta who was mentioned in seasons 1-2 and OVAs, who seems to have passed away); while her wife is either queen-consort, or a princess-consort.
However, Wakfu kingdoms may have worse, weirder rules than real life about inheritance.
The reason I am not getting my panties in a twist about the same-sex aspect of this (besides me supporting toxic royal yuri + being against homophobia or whatever) is that this is a magical universe, idk. they could adopt or get magically pregnant. It's literally a non-issue for me. UNLIKE PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTANDING THE CONSORT SYSTEM AND—-
Joris is present in all the kingdoms as Yugo's emotional support mediator/ambassador, except for Brakmar. I assume they simply do not let this fucking man into their palace, and rightfully so. He's literally a Bontarian narc. He'd use that chance to steal documents or some shit.
Btw I find it so funny how he keeps the same neutrally haunted look.
If a Bonatrian political leader goes for a week without wanting to start genocide against a people who isn't into the main 12 gods, they start getting the shakes from withdrawal.
I imagine living for hundreds of years and experiencing unimaginable suffering would make one pretty averse to being bossed around by some random guy who was born into wealth and has not known a second of grief in their life.
I feel it is important to point out: Joris was the one who made sure the meeting with Astra happened. He also felt this was important enough to try and organize meetings with other kings and queens. This is a dangerous situation.
As always, absolutely nobody listened. Nobody ever listens.
As I was saying, I imagine living for hundreds of years and experiencing un—-
I think the fact that Joris went with them has to say something about him. Yes, it is probably his sense of responsibility — he doesn't exactly want bad things to happen...
But also it explicitly puts a wedge between him and the Bontarian government. He values Yugo more.

There are many different cruise options available, ranging from traditional feluccas to luxurious ships. You'll witness colorful communities, lush scenery, and historic temples as you cruise along the river. Important locations include Luxor and Aswan, where you can discover the Aswan High Dam, the Valley of the Kings, and the Karnak Temple. An unforgettable way to experience Egypt's past and culture is through a Nile cruise.
3. Take a tour of the Karnak and Luxor Temples: With good reason, Luxor is frequently referred to as the largest outdoor museum in the world. Two of the most remarkable ancient sites in Egypt are the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. The god Amun was the subject of the Luxor Temple, which was situated on the east bank of the Nile. A short distance away lies the enormous structure known as Karnak Temple, which took over 2,000 years to construct. Take a leisurely stroll around the enormous statues and columns, and don't miss the Avenue of Sphinxes and the holy lake.
4. Explore the Kings' Valley: The Valley of the Kings, which lies close to Luxor on the west bank of the Nile, is the final resting place of numerous pharaohs, including the well-known Tutankhamun. More than sixty tombs with magnificent wall murals and hieroglyphics may be found in the valley. The size and intricacy of the tombs differ, but they all provide insight into the ideas of the ancient Egyptians about the afterlife. Don't forget to pay a visit to the adjacent Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning tomb carved into the rocks.
5. Go to Cairo's Egyptian Museum: Tutankhamun's riches are among the amazing array of antiquated antiques kept in Cairo's Egyptian Museum. The museum's extensive collection includes exhibits with mummies, jewelry, statues, and other artifacts from over 5,000 years of history. The famed golden mask and other expensive artifacts from the young pharaoh's tomb can be seen in the Tutankhamun Galleries, which is the main attraction. You may delve deeply into Egypt's rich and interesting history with a visit to the Egyptian Museum.
6. Take a Red Sea dive: Divers and snorkelers will find paradise along Egypt's Red Sea shoreline. Vibrant coral reefs and a variety of marine life can be seen in the glistening, clear waters. Marsa Alam, Hurghada, and Sharm El Sheikh are well-known diving locations. There are many ways to explore the undersea world, regardless of your level of experience as a diver. Sea turtles, vibrant fish, and even shipwrecks are visible. The Red Sea is a popular location for water sports because of its warm waters and plethora of marine life.
7. Explore Cairo's Islamic Quarter: The historic neighbourhood of Islamic Cairo is home to numerous mosques, madrasas, and marketplaces. The region is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and dates back to the Islamic Fatimid dynasty. Begin your tour at the medieval castle known as the Citadel of Saladin, which provides sweeping views over Cairo. The magnificent Muhammad Ali Mosque is located nearby. Discover hidden treasures such as the Al-Azhar Mosque and the Khan El Khalili bazaar by meandering through the narrow lanes. Here, you may purchase traditional crafts and souvenirs.
8. Unwind at a resort beside the Red Sea: Consider staying at a resort by the Red Sea in Egypt for a more relaxed holiday. Locations such as El Gouna, Hurghada, and Sharm El Sheikh have opulent hotels, stunning beaches, and an abundance of activities. Enjoy swimming in the warm waters, tanning on the sandy beaches, and engaging in water activities like windsurfing and kitesurfing. It's easy to relax and take in the breathtaking settings at many resorts, as they also include exquisite cuisine, golf courses, and spa services.
9. See the Abu Simbel Temples: The Temples of Abu Simbel are two enormous rock temples constructed by Pharaoh Ramses II that are close to the Sudanese border. These temples are well-known for both their elaborate interior sculptures and striking exteriors. While the smaller temple pays homage to Ramses II's queen, Nefertari, the larger temple is devoted to the monarch. In order to protect the temples from water brought on by the building of the Aswan High Dam, they were moved in the 1960s. A trip to Abu Simbel is an opportunity to step back in time and see examples of prehistoric engineering.
10. Take a Tour of the White Desert: Travel to western Egypt's White Desert for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sand and wind have sculpted the chalk-white rock formations that define this surreal environment. The strange shapes create a weird atmosphere, resembling enormous mushrooms and creatures. You can camp outside beneath the stars, go on a guided walk into the desert, and soak in the serene serenity of this isolated location. The White Desert provides a tranquil escape into nature in sharp contrast to Egypt's busy cities and historical landmarks.
Conclusion
Egypt offers an unforgettable experience for your next vacation, filled with incredible sights and activities. From the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Giza to the serene waters of the Red Sea, there is something for everyone. 2023 wrapped
I hated this year, it was full of heartache, longing, and hoping and wishing for change.
The journey of faith was abysmal, waiting turned out to be more painful that my faith could bear. Work meant no lifegroup, meant no regular habit of going to church, no time to go to church. I was desperately caught in a cycle with no end in sight.
With my faith in the trenches, I lost sight of the reason for work, lost sight of my worth. Everything was determinant on what people said of me. I swayed like the leaves in the breeze. Although my silent one worded prayers on call at night we’re always answered and God delivered me from every force that was trying to drown me.
I was waiting for something that never came, got served painful reminders of imperfect love, then dealt with the blow of death. Somehow everything cushioned the moment that I thought would be the end of me (for the last 5years), and towards the end of the year I saw the plan He had for me. The “prophecy” I had in my head came to life, and I was in the exact right place I needed to be for the last year. And in the paradise I’ve only dreamt of, at the very moment.
I’m going to tell you something sad, but please just let me have this moment without grieving for me. But this was the year I was busy being happy for people around me (and trust me when I say I was SO happy) but not so much for myself (as evidenced by above).
I was beyond the moon at Yenlink’s wedding, Yuhui’s engagement, Rachel’s new lover, Nik and Ryan’s new home, Sharm chasing her passion, Sng’s doggy dream come trues, Pam’s business success, Cheryl’s engagement, Vik’s award, Rachael’s best year yet, Kyrene’s everlasting love, Elberto’s pretty partner, Wz’s Christmas party and Belle’s adventures. My heart goes all fuzzy just thinking about these!!!!
This year I’m praying I remember everything I have instead of those that I lack, that I love those at arms reach, that Antoni thrives, that I see my far away family soon, that I continue celebrating those around me, continue to learn to celebrate myself, to grow closer to God, and live less for myself this year (in action and in qty of thoughts).

Lay low.
Pairing: Jaehyun x female reader.
Genre: The purge, gang!au, established relationship | Angst, fluff, suggestive.
Warnings: Brief mention of mature content, but it stops as soon as it starts (nothing more than a few kisses happen), strong language, home invasion, weapons, blood, injuries, minor characters’ deaths.
Plot: Being Jaehyun’s girlfriend is nice, until purge night where it becomes more dangerous to be around all because Jaehyun refused to lay low.
Word count: +5k.
A/N: This is part of @kpopscape‘s 21st purge event.
EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM.
"This is not a test. This is your emergency broadcast system announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge sanctioned by the U.S. Government. Weapons of class 4 and lower have been authorized for use during the Purge. All other weapons are restricted. Government officials of ranking 10 have been granted immunity from the Purge and shall not be harmed. Commencing at the siren, any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 continuous hours. Police, fire, and medical emergency services will be unavailable until tomorrow morning 7 am when the Purge concludes. Blessed be our New Founding Fathers and America, a nation reborn. May God be with you all."
Jaehyun watches with amusement as you repeat the words scrolling on the blue screen of the television, but he winces when he hears the siren that has grown more and more annoying as the years went by.
"Are the doors and windows locked?" you ask, standing up from the couch. Jaehyun cackles when he sees you trying to open the nearest window, and he clears his throat. "Baby, if you keep trying to open it, it'll set the alarm off." you stop right in front of yet another window, and you turn on your heels. "Couldn't you tell me before I tried?"
"I did not think it was useful, as I told you Johnny would take care of everything an hour before it starts." Jaehyun stands up, and he stops once he is behind you. "Did something go wrong last year?" he asks, pressing his chest against your back, and you shake your head. "And the year before that?" his lips ghost over the shell of your ear, and you feel a shiver running down your spine. "Nothing."
"Then, there is no reason for something to happen tonight." he whispers, and he is wrong because there are a lot of reasons for something to happen tonight, you know it, and you are sure that he knows it too. "Do you promise?" he grabs your caist, and he forces your to face him, the shadow of a smirk on his face. "I promise."
You open your mouth, but instead of letting you speak, he leans in to kiss you. "What are you doing?" you ask in a laugh without kissing him back, which only makes Jaehyun growl softly. "We have twelve hours to kill, so I'm finding us an occupation." of course he would propose something like that.
"You don't want to watch a movie? Read a book?" you ask in a whisper when his lips slide down your neck. "I would rather watch you." you roll your eyes but when he bites on the skin, a rather loud moan escapes your lips. "Bedroom, bedroom right now." the noise Jaehyun lets out is way too funny for the current situation.
He takes your hand and walks to the bedroom, he closes the door behind you but before you can make a move towards the bed, he presses you against said door. "I love you." he whispers before diving back for a kiss. Jaehyun is such a good kisser, you could spend hours doing nothing but kill him. There is nothing soft or sweet in the way he kisses, but you would not change any of it.
You know he does this to change your mind, he knows you are not the biggest fan of the purge, who is? And you are not going to say no. He licks your lower lip, and you open your mouth to grant him access, be before he can do anything, a hard knock against the door startle you. "What the fuck?"
Jaehyun does not move, but he is annoyed. "What?" he asks, and you know whoever is behind that door is going to spend a really bad night. "Jaehyun, you need to come and see this." he growls, and you push yourself off of the door so Jaehyun can open it. "See what? I'm busy here, can't it wait tomorrow?"
Johnny shakes his head, and Jaehyun makes a sound low in his throat. "You really need to see this, it's important!" he curses, and he leaves the bedroom, not without grabbing your hand on his way out. "Hey, Y/n." Johnny says with a stupid grin on his face, and you roll your eyes. "Hey, idiot."
Johnny leads them to the security room where all the surveillance camera screens are installed. Taeyong and Doyoung look worried, and you wonder what is happening for them to bother Jaehyun when he clearly stated that he did not want anyone near his quarter until the of the purge.
"So, what is so urgent?" he mumbles, sitting down on the office chair, making you sit on his lap, arms wrapped around your waist. "This. This is urgent." Taeyong says, showing one of the screens. It shows the front of the house, and you frown when you see at least 6 people. "Oh, come on."
This is what you were talking about Jaehyun said there was no reason for something to happen tonight. This year was not the quietest for the Neos, so it was expected. "They have a lot of weapons, but everything is locked, right?" you ask in a small voice.
"Yes, of course, I checked at least thrice." Mark answers from his side of the room, and you turn your head towards him, he is so discreet that you did not even notice him when you entered. "Then we don't have to worry about anything, right? Right?" you nibble on your lower lip when none of the men answer. You hate this.
"Johnny, get everyone in the meeting room in five minutes. Mark, stay here and call us if anything happens." both men nod, and you stand up when Jaehyun pats your thigh. "What do I do?" you ask, following Jaehyun out of the room, and he turns on his heels. "Go find the kids, stay with them and try to pretend nothing is happening, we don't need them to find out and to freak out."
"Alright, alright." before leaving, he pecks your lips one last time and he disappears in another room. "Mark, let me know too." Mark nods and you leave the security room. You find most of the kids in the common living room, sitted on the sofas and on the ground, watching an horror movie. Of course they would watch an horror movie during the scariest night of the year.
"What are we watching?" you ask, sitting down beside Kun around the dining table. "I have no idea. There is way too much blood, and way too many girls screaming bloody murder." you giggle, but it must sound fake, because Kun looks at you, eyes narrowed. "Why are you here? I thought you would spend the night with Jaehyun, like you do every year."
"Everything is fine, Jaehyun had something urgent to take care of." yes, you do not feel like saying that Jaehyun has to take care of a bunch of armed people, ready to make them pay for whatever they did during this year. "What are you hiding? You are acting weird." he asks, head tilted to the side, and you hate the way he is looking at you, the intensity of his gaze, because you know you are going to cave-in and tell him everything.
But you do not have to say anything when a loud thud is heard in front of the door. One of the boys payse the movie, and all of their eyes turn towards the door. "Tell me." you stand up, and trying to stop the boys to check by themselves is harder than you thought it would be. "Go to the basement. All of you, lock yourself in and stay quiet, I have something to ask to Mark."
"Don't play the superhero, Y/n, and come with us." Kun says, grabbing your hand but you free yourself from his grip right away. "I have something to do. Now, go!" Kun gathers all of the kids, and you see the basement's door close behind them just when another thud is heard, louder this time and you are pretty sure you saw the door shake.
This can't be fucking happening.
You run to the security room, and you can't even begin to explain what emotions are on Mark's face when you push the door. He looks absolutely frightened and his eyes are shining with tears. "What is going on?" you ask, approaching the screens. Now, the men can be seen on multiple of the screens, which mean, they are surrounding the house.
"I have no idea. I told Jaehyun and he said he is taking care of it." he says in a voice so small that your heart breaks a little bit. "I told Kun and the boys to lock themselves in the basement, you should go and join them." Mark shakes his head. "I can't. Jaehyun asked me to be here."
"I do not ware what Jaehyun said, you are too young to be in the house. You have to be in safety with the others. So go, I'll take care of the cameras." Mark seems to think about it, but he stands up. "Give me the phone." he does just that, and he leaves the room at a rapid pace.
You dial Jaehyun's number, and the man answers right away. "Mark, what do you see?" you bite your lower lip, because you know you are in for a big argument, but it is what it is. "It's not Mark, it's me. Mark went to the basement with the others."
"What? Why? You should be in the basement too, Y/n!" he says, his voice as sharm as the knife you see a man raise in front of a camera. "Ten and Jungwoo are still in their rooms, I have to go and get them. You take care of whatever mess you brought in this house, and I'm taking care of putting everyone to safety."
"Please, for the love of God, stay safe too. I don't know how long we'll be able to keep the doors close, so take a gun with you, there is one in one of the drawers of my desk." you nod even though he can't see you. "I will. Please, be careful too." he hums and you hang up. Maybe you should have told him that you loved him, in case you do not have the chance to tell him after tonight.
You head for Jaehyun's office, and like he said, you find a gun in the bottom drawer of his desk. Opening the padlock was easy, as it is your birth day. You stop moving to listen, but no sound come to your ears. There are two options: either the men decided to stop. Either you are too far away from the entrance to hear anything.
Or the third option, they are comploting to open the doors and the windows. But you do not want to think about this option, it is way too scary. You take Mark's phone, and you dial Ten's number, but he doesn't answer, nor does Jungwoo. "Fucking hell." you muster, you are going to teach them a lesson. They need to learn to answer their fucking phones, especially on purge night.
You are in the middle of the staircase when you hear the sound of broken glass. They found a way in, but it did not sound close, so you should be safe once upstairs. At least you hope you will, because if you die, or end up being injured, Jaehyun is going to kill whoever decided to not force you into the basement.
When you find Ten's room, you open the door. You do not have the time to knock, and you do not want to attract anyone's attention. Ten is on his bed, headphones in his ears and you can hear his music from the door. He is in for a big surprise, you think as you hit his arm.
"Stay quiet." you say as soon as he takes his headphones off. "What is going on?" he asks, already on his feet. "The house is surrounded, and a window was broken on my way here." his eyes widen, and you grab his hand. "We have to find the others, and you have to join Kun and the boys in the basement."
"Do you have anything that could work as a weapon?" you ask, and he looks around before grabbing a baseball bat. I will not hurt as much as a bullet, but it is better than nothing. "Let's go find Jungwoo." he nods, and you leave the bedroom. Now, the noises are way clearer.
You hear hushed conversation, but unfortunately, you do not know if it belongs to the Neos or the men trying to break in. "Jungwoo is not in his room." Ten finally says and you turn on your heels to face him. "What? Where is he?"
"The gaming room, with Taeil." oh for god's sake.
The gamine room is far enough from the front door that they probably will not think about checking it, but it is downstairs, which mean you have to get close to the front door to join them. "What happened to everyone stays in their bedrooms or in the living room."
"I know, I told him, but because Jaehyun said nothing would happen, they thought it was safe to go there." well, they thought wrong, and you hope you'll live long enough to give them a piece of your mind. "Listen to me, Ten. I am going to get them, you are going to the basement."
"No, I'm not leaving you alone." Ten is too stubborn for his own good, so you know you won't have the last word. "Let's go then. Walk on the right side of the steps, they don't creak."
Getting down the stairs is quick, but also complicated. You have to stop every time you hear a noise, and you hear a lot of these. "Did you check upstairs?" someone asks, and you stop abruptly. "Not yet." another person answers and you are ready to go back up, but you lock eyes with a stranger at the same moment.
"Wha-" you grab Ten's baseball bat, and before the man can alerts someone else, you hit him square in the head with the bat. Shooting him would have been more efficient, but also too loud ro remain unnoticed. "Let's go before he wakes up."
You look on your left, and on your right and when you see nothing, you start to run towards the gaming room. At least, the idiots who entered the Neo's house decided to keep the light on. It makes the whole ordeal easier, and also more dangerous.
When you try to turn the door handle, nothing happens. The door is locked. You knock softly, putting your ear against it but you hear nothing. "Taeil, Jungwoo, it's me, open the door." you repeat a few times, and when the door finally opens, it is on a scared Jungwoo, cheeks glistening with tears.
"Ten, Ten!" the man looks frozen on the spot, and you have to grab his arm to push him inside of the room, just in time as a bullet ends against the wall where his head was. "Fuck!" he yells, locking the door. "There! There are people in this room!" the shooter says.
"Both of you. If we survive, I'm going to murder you myself, I promise." you say through gritted teeth to the two men. "Hide behind the couch." you oder and they obey. So, it's not all bad to be Jaehyun's girlfriend, you think. You have a little bit of authority over them.
You try to call Jaehyun, but he does not answer, so you choose to send him a text instead.
To Jaehyun - We are in the gaming room, they saw us and they have guns. Are you okay?
From Jaehyun - Don't move, we are coming.
To Jaehyun - Make them leave, we don't need help right now.
Well, they do need help but having them out of the house is way more important than being savec. Even if they only have a gun and a baseball bat, they can protect themselves. If the men find the door to the basement, they won't be able to protect each other, so they are not the more important right now.
From Jaehyun - We'll come and get you when it is safe.
You walk back when voices are heard on the other side of the door. "Little bird, would you please open the door?" the stranger asks, and you want to scoff. Jaehyun would kill him if he heard him give you a petname without his accord. "Because if you do not open yourself, I will have to open it myself, and I won't be as nice."
"If you are ready to get your head blow up, then come on in, be my guest, I'm waiting." being Jaehyun's girlfriend is bad sometimes, because of your self-confidence. A self-confidence that could get them killed, yes.
You would be lying if you said you were expecting the man to stop trying to break in, but he does. And the door does not hold on for more than a couple of hits with a heavy object against it. "Hello little bird."
You get the gun from your back pocket, but of course, of fucking course, it is nowhere to be found. You probably lost it in the stairs when you grabbed Ten's baseball bat. "Oh, did you lose something little bird?" he asks, taking a few steps forwards, and you take a step back each time he does.
He stops moving when you are backed up against the window, you have nowhere to go, nowhere to run. You lock eyes with Jungwoo, and the man stands up as silently as he can and you see what he does. He grabs the pocket knife he still has in his jacket, just in case. And if you complained about said knife before, you take back everything you said.
"Maybe I should keep you, you pretty bird." you tilt your head to the side, and you try to ignore the putric breath hitting against your face. "I do not think you could handle me." you shrug and the man starts to lose his temper, and that's what you love so much about men, they can't stand being belittled.
"You bitch." he hisses and it's at that moment that Jungwoo slides the knife in your direction. Now, you need to distract him, or he will never let you get down to grab it. So you do what you do best, you hit him right in the balls with your knee. "You fucking bitch!" he yells, taking a step back, hands cupping his crotch.
You crouch down and you grab the knife and before he can make a move, you stick the blade of the knife in his throat. He opens his mouth to scream, but you hear nothing but a gurgling noise, blood running down the wound and onto his white shirt. And the carpet, which is going to be a mess to clean. "What were you going to say, you bitch?" you ask.
"Let's go."
Ten, Taeil and Jungwoo stand up, and they leave the room together, closing the door as best as they can behind them. You can't lock it unfortunately but it should be fine. It'll take some time for him to bleed out, but he will die.
You find the door to the basement without any problem, and you knock, you know Kun must be behind, waiting to be told it is safe to get out. "Kun, open!" you say and he does right away. "Go on, get down." when Ten, Taeil and Jungwoo are getting down the stairs, you close the door in front of Kun's face.
You should be going downstairs with them, but you are too far down to stop. You have to find Jaehyun, that's all that mattesr for you. Jaehyun, and nothing else, especially now that everyone is safe downstairs.
You quickly stop in the safety room, you have to check the screens to see if more people are outside, but no, the screens are empty. And if only they had cameras inside of the house, it would be easier to track the people down, but no, you have to go blind on a deadly mission you forced upon yourself.
Jaehyun is so going to kill you.
You should have thought twice before deciding to stay in the house, because as soon as you step out of the room, someone grabs you by the neck. "Oh, would you look at that, the boss's girlfriend."
He pushes you against the closest wall, hard enough for your head to hit the wall and you wince. You see stars dancing behind your eyelids, and a pitiful whine leaves your lips. "Oh, did it hurt? That's too bad." the pressure on your airflow decrease and you grab his wrist. "If your boyfriend had decided to lay low like we told him to, we would not be here today." he explains in a low voice.
"At least now, I have a reason for him to come out. Come on, follow me." he lets go of your throat, and before you have time to take a deep breath, he blocks both of your arms behind your back to make it easier for him to walk with you, and more difficult for you to leave. It is useless, so you do not even try to run away, it would cause nothing but harm on you, and on the others.
"Jung Jaehyun, where are you hiding?" the man asks in a loud voice. "I have your girl, so you have no choice but to come out." he ends his sentence with a laugh that brings shills down your spine, that was an unpleasant sound you wish you'll never have to hear again.
"If you don't come out, I'll have no choice than to kill her." he forces you to the ground, a hand on the back of your neck and the next thing your hear is the sound of footsteps. "Let her go." and Jaehyun's angry voice.
"And why would I do that? Did you let go of my brother when I asked you not to kill him, to spare his life?" the man spits and Jaehyun heaves a long sigh. "Your brother hurt one of my boys, he had to pay. Aren't you the one who said an eye for an eye?"
"That's why I'm here. An eye for an eye, your girl has to die, and you'll have to watch her die." you feel the cold of the gun's barrel on the back of your head, and you close your eyes. So that's how it ends, you think. But are you surprised? Not really, your parents told you it would happen when they learned who your boyfriend was.
You could have listened to them, but sometimes, love is so strong that your heart is the first think you listen when you should obviously be listening to your brain.
"Any last word, pretty?" he asks, and you look up at Jaehyun. You saw him mad before, but this is another level. The anger in his eyes is strong, you can feel it burns through your skin, because you know you are part of the reason behind the anger.
"I love you." you say with a soft smile, and the man shakes his head. "I'm a nice man, Jaehyun, so I am giving you the opportunity to tell her something before I kill her." Jaehyun scoffs, fists squeezed so tight that you can see how white and bloody his knuckles are.
"Do you remember our second anniversary," he starts and you frown, this is not the time to talk about the good old day. "this guy tried to flirt with you while we were eating in the park." he does not need to finish, you know what he means, so you nod. "I do remember. I remember everything."
"You remember what I taught you that day?" once again, you nod. This is a memory you will never forget. "I really wish we could do this again." he moves his lips, and you know he is counting.
One.
Two.
"Three." he says out loud, and you throw your head back, knocking the man on the nose. He growls loudly as he falls on his ass from the impact, but at least, it gives enough time for Jaehyun to grab his gun and shoot him in the head. The noise is so loud that you have to cover your ears, eyes closed tight.
Jaehyun talks to you, but you can't hear anything, but you can feel him force you back on your feet and you follow him without saying a word."
"Eh eh, open your eyes." you look up when you feel Jaehyun's hands on your cheeks. He is still angry, but you can also read relief in his eyes, the relief to be reunited with you. "Basement. Now."
He doesn't give you the choice, the door open, and Kun takes your arm to force you down the stairs. Your ears hurt, everything hurt but you know it is nothing but exhaustion.
"Are you okay, are you hurt?" someone asks, and you shake your head when the buzzing finally stops. The boys are all on one side of the basement, pilled against each other. "That's not my blood." it's enough for Kun to stop asking questions.
You ignore how long you spend in the basement, but at some point, you can't hear a thing coming from upstairs. You remember that you still have Mark's phone and when you check, you notice that it is almost 7 am. You must have fallen asleep, because you did not see the hours pass.
When 7 o'clock strikes, the door to the basement opens and the place is suddenly bathed in yellow light. "You can come up now, it's safe."
Johnny.
They all stand up, groggy and sore after so many hours crowded in one spot. You let the boys go up first, and when it's your turn, you brace yourself for the worst.
A few windows are broken, the front door is in three pieces and on the ground, there is blood everywhere and you have to hold onto Jisung's hand when he starts to slip on a pool of someone's blood. "Easy kid, don't hurt yourself." he thanks you in a small voice and you nod.
"Kids, go to your bedrooms. Take a shower, take a nap if you want, Kun and I will call you when breakfast is ready." a few of them refuse, but Taeil does not give them the choice, he leads them upstairs. They do not need to see more of the mess that is the house they were supposed to be safe in.
"Johnny?" you ask, and the man peaks his head from the kitchen's doorframe and he looks terrible. He has a black eye, and bleed is coming out of his forehead. "How are the others?" he shrugs, and a weight falls on your stomach. "Fine. Injured but fine. Jaehyun too."
You heave a long sigh you didn't know you were holding, and you walk past Johnny to join your boyfriend. The man is sitting on a stool, an ice pack against his severly bruised jaw. He is coreved in blood, but it does not look like his blood, which is a real relief.
"Baby." he says when he sees you, and you smile. "Let me do it." you hold the ice pack for him, and he closes his eyes, finally letting his arm rest on the kitchen island. "How are you feeling? Do you need to go to the hospital?" he shakes his head. "No, it's fine. A few cuts and bruises."
"Any of the other boys need to go to the hospital?" Johnny clears his throat, and you turn to face him. "Doyoung. One of the men broke his arm." oh, this must hurt like a bitch, you think. "Do you want me to drive him?" Johnny shakes his head, keys already in his hand. "I'm going, don't worry."
Kun starts to clear up the dining table, before joining them in the kitchen. They all deserve a good breakfast.
"I'm glad you are okay." Jaehyun says and you look at him. "It's only because of you. I should have listened, but I had to find you, I had to make sure you were okay." you put a hand on his cheek and he shrugs. "I was not expecting you to obey, I know you better than anyone else, but it was worth the try."
He is right, he does know you better than anyone in this house. Better than anyone in the world even, parents included. "I love you Y/n." he whispers and you kiss him softly, trying not to hurt him, tasting blood. "I love you even more."
Now comes the worst part of the purge. It is time to clean the blood, to get the bodies out of the house, to put everything in order and to buy whatever was broken during the night. It is also time to help the boys, to apologize for causing so much fear and pain when they promised to protect them no matter what when they first moved in.
It will be hard, and it will take a few days, or weeks but they'll succeed, you know it. Everyone is strong on their own, and even stronger when they are together.
Until next year.

Writing Bucket List Tag Game
Hi guys!!! That's is a pretty interesthing and thanks for @writersramble37 , thanks pals!!
Rules: list wips you would like to finish in your lifetime and optionally reasons what’s holding you off them and how far you want to get them (publish/post etc)
Same Sky: For God's sake, I want to finish this before the end of the world! SS is my current Romance/Sci-fi WIP where people are split between introverts and extroverts and shenigangs happen and man, I tell you, writer's block sucks. I've never finished a book in my life, so everything gets more difficult because of procratination, problems and the fact that I sometimes don't have anyone to talk to about my WIP. Sometimes I think, nobody there reads, is it worth it? But, it's on my list of things before I die. So, wait for me, I'll finish this!
Monarch: A fact about me: I'm a sucker for the superpower genre in general, specifically group of young people have superpowers and live together in a school to learn to control them. Inject this into my veins. However, one thing always bothered me: where the hell are the girls in this?! I never see a girl as a protagonist in this genre, usually they are the love interest, they don't have much prominence or personality, and there are still those who are inspired by the male lead and the male MC only. A model? another hero? The family? Friends or another female character? HAHAHAHA! Only in my dreams! So one day I said, I'm going to fix this with my bare hands! And there was Monarch! It has Drama, Action, Romance, Death, the power of friendship! And that's exactly why I never write 😃! The collection of this WIP is very large and I would spend time that I don't have now to develop, but one day it will become reality! You will see Sitara Sharme yet!
Some fantasy story: I write sci-fi and don't get me wrong, I love it! Mask! I want to write fantasy someday! However, time is a swift horse and then it won't be now. More might happen. One day.
I tag: @coutelier @stupid-elf @the-unwrittenwriter @jaywrites101 @dustylovelyrun @zmlorenz
