Bi-Han had always made it apparent to accompany you on missions, regardless of it’s scale and his full confidence in your abilities to keeping yourself safe, seeing as he took it upon himself to train you in the most efficient methods he knew. However there was this constant need that ate away at the back of this mind, telling him that he needed to stay nearby in the instance where you would have him to fall back on to make up for your shortcomings in battle. Bi-Han had promised you this and you knew that he’d always honoured his word, especially more so with you and yet he had felt that in that very moment he had failed you within that regard as he sat himself down by your bedside.

His hand immediately finding your own, holding onto it as though you were going to slip through his grasp. He was fearful that no matter how hard he tried in keeping you close and relatively unharmed, you would inevitably slip through his grasp regardless of his efforts. Bi-Han feared that he was being shown how unfit he was to being your protector by fate itself. Bi-Han was stood outside at the time, awaiting patiently for your return to Lin Kuei with news of a successful mission upon your lips and a sparkle in your eyes, but something told him that it wasn’t going to be a joyous reunion and instead a somber one, and yet he pushed it aside for he had waited long enough for you to come home to suddenly become speculative of your condition.

‘I should’ve been there.’ Bi-Han said to no one in particular. ‘Had I knew beforehand of how bad things had gotten, I could’ve been there to prevent you from ending up in the medbay, where I await for you to awake.’ He adds on, feeling immense guilt, immense shame towards himself for your current predicament, as though he was personally to blame for you fighting for your life.

‘How were you meant to know brother?’ Kuai Liang had said from the doorway, unable to see such heartbreak upon Bi-Han’s face. Many had said that his brothers’ heart was encased in ice but Kuai Liang was lucky enough to say that wasn’t true when you came into his life, you had all but melted the ice that had once entrapped Bi-Han’s heart and nurtured it to embrace the warmth, and for that Kuai Liang was eternally grateful to you for being there for his brother when he couldn’t. ‘How were you meant to know this would happen and even if you did, how would you have been able to prevent it from happing.’ Kuai Liang then gestured to your heavily injured state.

Your wounds had mainly consisted of several lacerations, stab wounds and many other serious afflictions that when the medics had seen to you, they called it a miracle that you were still somehow alive. ‘The gods have their eye on this one, Grandmaster.’ One of the had told Bi-Han, who had been watching over the entire procedure with a watchful eye. ‘Had they been brought to us a fraction of a second later,’ they paused briefly as though to let the severity of the situation sink in, ‘we wouldn’t have been able to save them. We were extremely lucky that fate was on our side this day.’ Bi-Han had held his tongue upon hearing that you had been so close to death, instead bringing himself to focus on the fact that you had been brought back to the Lin Kuei just in time; For he wouldn’t know what he would do had you been just that fraction of a second late.

‘I could’ve saved them Kuai Liang!’ Bi-Han snapped, glaring at his brother and holding his gaze before looking back towards you where his eyes became warm. ‘I could’ve saved them.’ He said for a second time but it came out a lot more sombre, mournful even as he squeezed your hand, raising it raised to his masked lips before resting his forehead against it, his eyes clamped shut as he prayed that he would awake from this seemingly never ending nightmare, hoping to seeing you free of injuries and accompanied with a face full of life.

‘Get some sleep brother, they’ll want you at full health for when they awake.’ Kuai Liang said almost pleadingly but he knew Bi-Han was way beyond reasoning with now that the one person who could talk him out of his self destructive tendencies was laid out on the bed before him, unable to speak sense into him and to go to bed.

‘No. I must stay here, stay with them until they awake.’ Bi-Han stared firmly, keeping his emotions clearly concealed under a stone cold demeanour. ‘I must do better. I almost lost them today and I must.do.better. No.’ Bi-Han clenched the fist that rested in his lap, blunt nails digging into his palm so that he may feel something, anything instead of the numbing sensation that had already begun to spread throughout his chest, ‘I need to do better. So until then, my eyes don’t deserve to rest while they’re consenting fighting for the chance to open theirs.’

Summary: Tim is crushing on (Y/N), but (Y/N) wants to get back with his ex.

(Y/N) and Tim were friends for a long time. (Y/N) is also one of the rare people outside of the family that knew his secret identity and Tim was allowed to crash at (Y/N)'s place if he was too tired to even go back to the manor or to his place.

Sometimes he would put a few things there, just in case his father wanted to make him rest. Tim has a lot of work, can you blame him? (Y/N) would make him some coffee, but when Tim was overworked he made sure to make Tim rest and eat.

Bruce approved of (Y/N) seeing how he cared about Tim and made sure he rested. Bruce had a problem with making sure that Tim rested since he is one stubborn guy. Alfred was happy that Tim has such a good friend to look after him.

But there was on slight issue on Tim's side. A small one. It's called a crush. Tim was so in love with (Y/N) that it hurt. When his crush started, (Y/N) was with his boyfriend and they were happy and Tim wasn't going to become a homewrecker and a horrible friend that breaks a relationship.

No. To Tim, it would be wrong and (Y/N) is happy so why bother with his feelings? Tim was happy and content as (Y/N) was also happy and content. It was all god for 2 years, until (Y/N)'s boyfriend has cheated.

Tim was mad beyond belief and he wanted to go after him and wanted to ruin him completely, but (Y/N) needed him more and he needed comfort more than revenge. And he didn't want to get revenge on his ex, despite being mad and angry at himself.

Tim assured him that nothing can say that the cheating was excused. You can't blame somebody else for your cheating. It's a choice that people make and luckily for Tim, (Y/N) had standards and refused to beg to get back with his ex.

Tim was happy that (Y/N) chose ignore his ex and that he could and would start healing. And that time, Tim wanted to confess, but he couldn't. It would be not only bad timing, but some sort of pressure too.

After being cheated on, your heart needs a break and it needs to heal. Tim didn't want to hurt his friend even more. So he was there for (Y/N) in every way he could be. Tim would be the one making sure he ate, slept, showered and tried to make sure that he wasn't just sleeping all day.

Everyone needs to get some exercise everyday and it would make your body and mind better and clearer too. Everything was fine to Tim and was happy for it to stay that way. Everything was fine, according to Tim.

But nothing can last forever.

Tim and (Y/N) would be hanging out when everything was starting to boil. And boy, was it going to boil over.

He’s huffing and stabs his spear into the ground to lean on and catch his breath, the gentle music of the peaks begins to float around him once more

The Yaksha feels the earth beneath his feet shake. Not like from his Lord, not the other adepti angered, but an enemy so large it’s stomps shake the ground he stands on

Xiao quickly straightens less he fall over, pulling his spear out of the dirt with a little more effort than it probably should’ve taken…

The high sounds of the guzheng trickle through the air, a perfect representation of the base of the slopes, trees, streams, and nature all around him

Xiao turns to face the enemy behind him, his arm popping with tired joints,

…A ruin grader, two ruin hunters, and finally regular three ruin guards, follows it. they come around the corner of the bottom of another slope, and they're still simmering with black smoke, curling off their metallic shoulders.

Xiao sees several red targets layer over his chest,

the music fades a little, but sticks around, plucking strings gently. Xiao sighs, exhausted already.

Kazuha and Beidou had to redirect the Alcor from a nasty storm at sea that intercepted their usual route between Inazuma and Liyue,

the storm had practically chased them further and further down form the Inazuman islands

it wasn’t until Kazuha, from the crow’s nest, spotted fog on the waters that they realized they’d be forced to go into said creepy fog, what with the crackling looming clouds at their backs pinning them in

“Not good Captain, the fog is miles long, I’m not sure I can see a way around it…” Kazuha calls down to the deck, Beidou letting out a sharp sigh through her nose

“Damn… fucker’s not even sentient and it practically backed us into a corner, feels like we literally gotta escape the damn thing… BRACE YOURSELVES CREW, WE’RE HEADING INTO THAT FOG!”

The Alcor makes it’s way into the fog, a piano swells with a strange tune…

Beidou, Kazuha, and the crew know to listen to the music of teyvat, especially if you have a life at sea, where storms can appear in the middle of the day or other pirates could attack any moment.

The music means nothing good, but at least Kazuha can see the storm staying at the border of the fog, moving no further in, unlike themselves

“Shit… see anything up there Kazu?” the Captain steering the ship doesn’t even reach a shout, for the music has creeped out all conversation on board

“No ma’am, wait,” a chill breeze brushes through the wanderer’s white hair, he feels goosebumps jump on his neck and spine,

“…Yes! Portside Captain, land, no enemy movement yet!”

“Alright, here goes a bad idea…” Beidou’s arms flex as she easily turns the heavy wooden wheel, steering left,

the Alcor gently comes ashore, and they make anchor.

…there are no enemies, like Kazuha said, but the tune worsens, it had gotten louder now that they’re actually on the theme’s land

It plays slowly, encasing the crew of the Alcor in a paranoid quiet, and it almost has a melancholy note

Crows caw and fly off of a stone gate up ahead, they can see flickers of a strange blue light further inland, like figures carrying lanterns everywhere they go…

“Damn music, I wouldn’t feel half this anxious if it didn’t sound like we were walking into a monster infested cave…” the first mate says, the first person to break the quiet the music held over them.

“Yes, while we might need to stay here for awhile, I think we’re all very aware how dangerous this is…” Kazuha agrees, crossing his arms and squinting at the moving blue lights… the piano plays on.

..well, she quickly decides she’s grateful for the new music either Barbatos or the All-Parent had heard her pleas for…

Jean takes out her ponytail, massaging her aching scalp, huh, she really did have it tight she’s just now noticing, she feels a small smiles appear on her face,

she actually kind of wants to do something now (she kind of hopes this new foreign bard song sticks around..)

If you asked Xiao what happened in that battle he’d be hard pressed to tell you,

without going completely red in the face. LMAO

He probably wouldn’t tell the other adepti this, especially Cloud Retainer, but Xiao had definitely had to get used to fighting brutal battles to the sound of gentle summer day-esque music

Right as the aruguably, army of ruin machines spotted the Yaksha, he’d launched himself into the air to try and evade the rusted beasts, aiming his jade spear, adding winds to swirl around the staff to better boost his attack, the machines warm up, their targets moved and locked onto him midair, right as both sides launch their attack-

Xiao nearly falls out of the air.

Quickly recovering, he uses his anemo power to propel himself off to the side dodging, he swears to his Lord and his Emperor himself, delayed attacks, as if the machines were caught off guard too,

missiles whiz by him, exploding behind, the peppy song of foreign women’s voices sings out into Jueyun Karst bright and happy-

Xiao’s face goes from being confused to concentrated throughout the rest of the battle, and the worst part… it actually helps his energy levels.

and he finds himself nodding along

Kazuha takes the lead, his sword unsheathed and at the ready to cut down the slightest movement before it can get to any of the crew behind him,

He’s flanked by the Captain of the Alcor herself, Beidou’s electro shield emitting a deep hum as it blocks in front of both himself, and the crew behind him

all of the pirates have unsheather their own weapons, daggers, swords, claymores, bows, their all on high alert, waiting for.. well, any enemies at all.

In fact, Kazuha hopes he sees hilichurls soon, just for the familiarity it could give him and the his crew-

the music begins to fade away.

The crew stops just shy of the entryway that was perched with crows before they scattered, the white fog hasn’t moved beyond its lazy drifting, but the creeping sounds have stopped entirely. Not good.

Captain Beidou sighs after a few silent moments, other than the quiet breathing and shuffling of weapons from the Alcor crew.

She lets her claymore sword thunk against her shoulder, and just as she opens her mouth, turning to address the all, deciding camping here will have to do for the night-

🎶Fancy! youu, ooh Nuga meonjeo johahamyeon eottae Fancy! youu, ooh Jigeum neoegero gallae Fancy! ooh!🎶

Kazuha’s shoulder shoot up to his ears in a flinch, red eyes wide, he barely stops his reflexes from taking a hard swing with his sword, several crewmembers shriek, collide with metal clinks into one another, Beidou drops low, her sword swinging off her shoulder into almost a full swing at the ground-

the music plays on, the only one making any noise as the entire Alcor crew just, stop. after their initial shock.

Kazuha’s the first to break.

He desperately tries to contain a quiet chuckle, which turns into a giggle, which turns into a full-on wheeze, as he buries his sword into the ground to brace himself on it and one of his knees

the Captain cracks by the time Kazuha wheezes, her laughter going straight to guffaws and knee slapping, her claymore shaking the ground where she stabs it to lean against

the crew erupts into laughter, both as the peppy foreign song echoes into the mysterious fog, and Beidou’s ridiculous laugh, as always

they don’t recover until two songs later when there’s finally a slow kpop song, Kazuha’s had to sit down, tears streaming down his face, Beidou’s half-dead, wheezing out complaints about her stomach, as the crew keep sending each other into more and more laughter right as they think they’re done.

They decide their Akitsu Mikami must have the best sense of humor and must just be sitting on their celestial throne pranking some of their subjects from time to time, and the Alcor crew find themselves all the more appreciative for it, their nerves entirely gone about the island

Kazuha and Beidou are constantly asking other bards they meet to try and see if anyone can recreate the song for the crew sometime they liked the beat and the memory so much, Fancy by Twice will still get a laugh out of Beidou and Kazuha, and they’d quickly let you in on the inside joke so you’d be a part of it too (afterall you did it lol)

Ei (the god herself/not the puppet, catch her never doing that lol, she tried but didnt, get it? she’s also pretty stiff, but she looks like she’s having fun so u just keep teaching her moves, and she likes that its you teaching her something new),

Thoma (shy #5 ? idek what number we’re on anymore lol),

TIGHNARI (u nag that bitch so hard he nearly throws a drink at you to get u to stop bothering him- NO he does NOT think those dances would suit his ears- dammit he wont do that dance, no matter how much he likes you- DAMMIT MY LORD-),

Xiao (if u thought nagging Tighnari was hard, this is like nightmare mode, not only does he not wanna do the dances, but he also wants to understand WHY u want him to dance each and every move- !! bc he would “look cute or cool”?!?!!?!!! …yeah he’s gone, he went so red u cant even get him back with tofu),

Zhongli (would like, be so confused on how to make his body do that, that he ended up just sort of posing, at least he looks cool)

You didn’t see Reid again until he came back to work.  You saw Penelope every now and then, and she kept you updated on his condition until she left, but you never saw Reid until he came back.  Once he did, all your mugs went missing.  Honestly, you were kind of proud.

You were hesitant to retrieve your stolen property- hesitant to see Reid again.  You stood outside his door for a good ten minutes before you even bothered to knock.  When you heard his voice through the door, telling you to come in, you almost turned tail and ran.

You were avoiding him, not because of your anger but because of your guilt.  You couldn’t stand seeing him hurt and motionless in the hospital, broken because of you- so you just avoided him.  It was the cowardly thing to do, but still, you did it.

Now, you needed to see him again- you needed to get your mugs back.  You needed coffee.  You pushed open the door.

Reid’s face lit up when he saw you.  His eyes were so bright, and his smile blinding.  You felt so guilty.

“Hey!  I haven’t seen you in a while, how are you?”

You weren’t entirely sure if his words were genuine, or if he was playing a game with you.  Either way, you could play along, “I’m here for my mugs, Reid.”

“I thought you’d say that.  Go back to your office, they’re already there.”

You tilted your head, “Not bad.  You took the base prank and elevated it.  Smart.”

Spencer shrugged, “Thanks.”

You paused halfway through the door, tapping a nonsense pattern into the wall outside his office.  Staying felt wrong, but you couldn’t leave.  Not yet.

“Hey, uh.  I’m sorry I didn’t visit you in the hospital.  I was-”

“(Y/N), I know what you did.”

You paused, looking up at him with wide eyes.  Yes, he knew what you did, you got him stabbed- did he know how guilty you felt about it?

“You covered my classes for me,” he picked up his own mug, “You were busy.  Don’t worry about it.”

You nodded, taking in a deep breath, “Perfect… And uh, are you- how are you settling in?”

You didn’t know a person’s smile could make you feel physically warm, but his did, “I’m doing okay.  I told you, I’ll be fine.”

“You did.  Just one of many things you’re right about, I guess.  And you- you aren’t hurt, right?”

He shook his head, “I told you, I’m okay.”  

“Good- perfect,” you paused, fingers still pressed against the wall, “Now tell me to get the hell out of your office.”

He laughed a little, taking a sip of his coffee, “Get the hell out of my office, Professor.”

“Good boy.”

You left, missing the delicious sight of Reid melting into an absolute puddle at your words.  He wondered, briefly, if you were trying to put him back in the hospital.  He could never tell when it came to you- but god, if you wanted to put him in the hospital, all you had to do was ask.

Upon returning to your office, you were met with the sight of two cardboard boxes on your desk.  One of them contained your mugs.  Inside the other, a 1960s Vintage Royal Empress Typewriter measuring about twelve inches in width and weighing thirty-three pounds and eight ounces.  You could feel the tears forming behind your eyes.  Your typewriter had been destroyed in the attack.  

Somehow, Reid had gone out and found you a new goddamn typewriter that was the exact same make and model as your old one.  You could kiss that damn bean-pole- you wanted to kiss that damn bean-pole.  

Your fingers brushed over the polished metal of the machine.  In the box, beside it, you found a note.

“I remember you said something about being in the market for a vintage typewriter.  I found this and thought you’d like it.  Feel free to use it the next time you get angry at me.”

It wasn’t signed, but you didn’t need a signature.  That was his handwriting.  He bought you a typewriter.  You got him stabbed, and he bought you a fucking typewriter.  Tears spilled down your cheeks as you took a seat at your desk.  

That evening, Spencer passed by your office on his way home.  He stood outside the door for a second, listening to the click of the keys beneath your fingers.  He stayed there for a while, in the otherwise silent hallway, letting the click of the keys promise him that you were nearby.  

He’d missed you, during his recovery.  He knew that you felt guilty.  He couldn’t forget what you said in the hospital.  He also knew that you were busy- you’d picked up his classes without a second thought, and while you had done an incredible job, he knew that couldn’t have been easy.  That hadn’t kept him from missing you, though.

He had to face that down, too- the fact that he could miss you so much after only hours of being away from you.  You’d settled in so nicely with everything else in his life.  He’d gotten used to you, and you were such a presence that nothing could come close to replacing you.  That probably wasn’t normal, but it was a therapy appointment for another day.

Until then, he would let himself listen to you type away at the machine he got you.  

He stayed in the hallway for a few short minutes, until the click of the keys stopped.  He barely noticed the change.  He did, however, notice you stepping out of your office with your bag slung over your shoulder.  You were clearly surprised to see him.  

“Shit!  Reid!  It’s you.  Fuck, you scared me.”

“Sorry,” he winced, “I didn’t mean to-”

“I know,” you swayed a little, side to side in the doorway, “But hey, it’s good that I caught you, I uh.  I wanted to say thanks.  You- you really didn’t have to get me a new typewriter, Reid.”

“Well, technically it isn’t new.  The Vintage Royal Empress line didn’t come out until-”

“Reid.  You know what I mean.  Thank you.”

“It’s no problem.  I mean, you saved my life, so-”

“Saved your life?” you scoffed, “Reid, you wouldn’t have gotten stabbed if it weren’t for me.”

“And I would have bled out if you hadn’t been there.”

“And you wouldn’t have been bleeding if it weren’t for me.”

“If it weren’t for you, what?  If it weren’t for you looking out for your students?  If it weren’t for you protecting Missy?  If it weren’t for you being smart enough to use the typewriter as a weapon?  Tell me, (Y/N), what did you do to get me stabbed?”

“I-” you were at a loss for words, “I’m sure there’s something I did, I just.  Can’t think of it.  Right now.”

Spencer smiled, “Maybe you just want to stab me.”

“No!” you practically jumped across the hallway, stopping right in front of Reid, “I do not want that.”

“Clearly.”

Your eyes darted down over Reid’s stomach, hovering over the location of the wound.  You couldn’t see it, but you remembered the red stain across his shirt, the pool of blood that got bigger and bigger no matter how hard you’d pressed down.  

Before you could even think of stopping yourself, your fingers brushed lightly against his torso.  Your touch was gentle- enough for him to feel, but not enough for him to flinch.  Inside your office, the lights flickered.  You only realized what you were doing when Spencer moved to wrap his hand around yours.

You jumped a little, shaking your head as you came back to your senses.

“Shit- I’m sorry, I um-”

“Don’t apologize,” Spencer’s voice was soft.  His eyes carried some sort of gentle confidence within them.

You squeezed his hand.

“Hey, you aren’t taking the train home, are you?”

“I am, why?”

“Because if someone elbows you in the wrong spot, you’re gonna bleed out on the train, and I’m gonna feel like shit about it.”

“That’s highly unlikely.  The stitches have already-”

“Spencer,” you stopped him, “You can tell me about it in the car.  Let me drive you home.”

I just love how much detail is in the house or on the tree to the right hand side here.

And the little flowers just outside I see you. so cute!

Now inside the House is just so incredible looking.

The small details on the blanket on the bed, or the pictures on the wall. The fact that you can make out what they are at this distance is just so cool okay.

Again, the details on the items on the shelf, or in the flowers in the top right-hand corner.

It's just incredible how detailed stuff is and I love it.

let's make some noise (time goes fast when you're having fun) by carolinaa | The first time I read this fic, I actually scrolled right back up to the top and read it again. It's so good. I don't even know where to start. First of all, my favorite Hizashi POV I have literally ever read. The way the author handled everything from his hearing loss to the inherent horror of trying to navigate your 20s. How much he and Aizawa love each other. So much about this fic feels so whole? in a way? I don't know? 1000/10, no notes.

Cry Me A River is another favorite by carolinaa. I literally am wrapping this fic around my shoulders like a weighted blanket.

Passaggio by kashinoha | If you would Like To Cry, this fic is a very recent read for me. Another really good Present Mic POV, but also I curled up into a weepy little ball on the ground upon reading it. I just want the boys to take care of themselves for once is that too much to ask.

nothing as undoing by HalloweenClown | 'Fics that land somewhere between soft and stabbing me in the heart,' which is where a lot of Aizawa & Eri fics land for me. This fic does such an excellent job of capturing the very early stages of building trust™ between them.

acid reflux by lcthe | Vigilante Midoriya AU with a twist(?) The vibes are surreal, the vibes are I'm confused, the vibes are I'm having a great time, and the writing is excellent. It's incomplete and being revised, but I read up to Chapter 3 fairly recently and the erasermic in that chapter,, so painful but so good. Fair warning, this one does get a little dark!

the river walked me home by Thealmostrhetoricalquestion | Writing this post actually reminded me that I want to reread this one. It was the first Todoroki-centric fic I ever read in this fandom (something like a year ago? or close to it?) and I can vividly remember shedding tears over Animal Crossing. I have never played Animal Crossing.

My Brother, My Brother, and Me and Breaking the Ice by seventh_time_lucky | SPEAKING of fics I want to reread, we are going back to 'Liza's pre-ao3 era' (as in, the fics are on ao3, but I was not) These two follow Natsuo as he tries to get to know Shouto after growing up as virtual strangers. There are sentences in the first fic that genuinely haunt me, and the entire coffee conversation (motif?) in the second fic is just. So good? I'm so glad I was able to find them again.

komorebi by Calamitatum | If you're interested in a waaay canon divergent fic, this one reads like a gut punch (in a good way!!) komorebi is one of those fics that I started reading thinking 'oh, that's an interesting premise' and then ended up thinking 'oh god wait what oh no.' I don't want to spoil anything but it definitely went in a direction I wasn't expecting, and honestly it feels like a masterclass in building tension, tackling multiple POVs, and callbacks, my beloved. This author is soo good at unpacking exposition, backstory, and motivation through conversations as well, which I appreciate greatly bc I struggle so hard with that in my own writing. The fic is incomplete with one chapter remaining, so I'm currently rereading it while waiting for the final update!

It was check-up day. You never liked check-ups before the lab the doctors made you nervous and their medical tools looked foreign

The youngest were getting their medical exams first.

And you were the oldest there so you'd be going last, which wasn't very reliving at all. Infact your anxiety only went higher in rate at the fact that with each subject that returned made your appointment approach closer and closer

Before you knew it, your time-eating coloring was inturupted, and you were being escorted to the infirmary

'what if I mess up the exam what if I don't do good enough? what if I'm already not good enough? it would make sense.. I'm not that pretty for a girl with her hair just below her ears.. oh god, I'm not good or pretty enough, why is Peter even with me in the first place?'

"010?" Peter's voice rang through your ears and echoed against your eardrums

You blinked up at him as your boyfriend smiled at you, taking you back to his station

You and Peter had been dating for about 3 months now and though you usually didn't see him too often, you'd do small things purposefully just to go to the infirmary to see him.

He'd often visit you after his shifts and sometimes you'd spend the night together talking, and you'd end up asleep in his arms while he pampered you with kisses. He made you feel happiness you never thought you'd expirence in a place like this.

You sat down on the hospital bed as he filled out some quick files at his desk. You loved the wheels on his chair, sometimes he'd even let you sit on it and wheel yourself around his station.

You looked down at your fingernails while you waited, you wished you could paint them, once you let Eleven put purple marker on them, it looked good for an 8 year old, Peter thought it was cute.

You tried to distract yourself but your mind seemed not so fond of your actions of trying to run away from yourself.

'Why is he even dating me? he could find someone better who actually works in the same category as him.'

You didn't even realize Peter was sitting infront of you now, you jumped a little as you looked into his already staring eyes.

"what's up with you today baby?" He asked you quietly as he used his Opthalmoscope to check your eyes.

"nothing.." you murmured out, he lowered his medical tool and gave you a concerned look, you usually never hid anything from him. mostly because you didn't need too, all your secrets were safe with Peter, and you knew that.

"Am I pretty enough for you?" You blurted out, it was like your words didn't care what your mind thought about you speaking the harsh statements that you were stabbing yourself with.

"What? Y/n, what are you talking about, your more than enough for me dear." a small frown stretched on his lips, you hated to see him upset, especially if you're the cause of it.

"how do I know you aren't just saying that Peter?" your voice felt hoarse like you were about to cry, and you weren't sure if you were from how overwhelming everything was, the check-up, your racing mind, his comfort, his comfort was appreciated deeply, but your nerves weren't sure if they could handle all of this at once.

"Hey." Peter's voice was soft but it was also firm, it pulled your attention away from everything at once and back onto him.

"Breath, deep breathes alright?" His thumbs started rubbing against the backs of your knuckles, you anxiously nodded your head and practiced your breathing methods.

after a few moments of calming down your nerves and anxiety that seemed as if they wouldn't land back down from space from how sky rocketed they were.

"You should know you're pretty and good enough, your perfect y/n." His voice lingered in your ears and the deepness of his vocal cords whispers against your arms.

"You," He started to place gentle kisses on your face between each word he said. "Are. Perfect."

You giggled at his affections, the sounds of your tiny laughs escaping from your lips made him smile at you like he was 3 years old, staring at a huge lollipop he'd seen inside of a candy shop.

"How about I let you sit in the wheeled chair while I do your exam yeah?" He smiled with his teeth, they were shiny and seemed like porcine to you.

You smiled big also flashing your teeth back, his cheeks seemed to have reddened at the sight of your happiness as he stood, and before you knew it you were giggling and rolling yourself around his station and spinning in circles.

it's made even more obvious in the scene -with The Other- at the end of their interaction that Loki has been tortured and put through immense pain. I mean he was bending over in pain and was struggling and he also looks very sick when he first shows up. TORTURED.

not a note on loki but on steve. it always bugged me the way he was about orders and shit when in his own movies he's the exact opposite. he was the rule breaker the one who stopped following orders. the only reason for him to be this way I think is maybe it's because he's just got out of the ice at this point this is new and he doesnt want to rock the boat too much. and the entire steve and bug i choose you scene ,,, oh boy theres so many layers to that one specific conversation that i simply cannot wait to dive into later. for now, the entire notion of their relationship is that they chose to love one another !!! bug chose to wait, steve chose to trust her, and they chose to fall in love <333 i firmly believe that true love is choosing to love your partner, not just the chemical reaction in our brains, but the act of staying and trusting to be loved in return - THATS true love.

and steve revealing hes always wanted to help/protect bug <333 i love the porch scene. i love tying things together and also just seeing their growth throughout the seasons. in season 1 the porch scene was heavy with insecurity. bug was weak, back then. she didnt want steve to see how hurt she was (but failed). now we fast forward years later for season 4 and shes actively leaning on steve !!! seeking his comfort !! yet shes also standing her ground, doing what she believes is right (even if shes wrong). and STEVE !! he failed her in season 1, he refuses to fail her again in 4 :((

now bugs whole "hey gang lets focus on max not me haha" will cause a few rifts within the group - everyone knows its unneeded, they all hate shes doing this, but they also know that they cant change bugs mind. its very bittersweet and :///

max and bug ,,, u Get It. they ARE reflections of one another. max is fifteen, same age bug was in season 1. its very very very reminiscent of how bug was back then, stubborn and slightly cold but still so full of love and concern for her friends. max is where bug was, confused and scared and unused to asking (or accepting) help. bug sees this and she also is struggling with this. theyve always had a close relationship, but billys death changed everything and brought them closer together. bug feels a kinship to max, she feels responsible for her, and max knows this and almost resents her for it. its messy and very sad and hard and me not changing canon too much will make things even MORE heartbreaking and sad :(

but on a happier note: YES STEVE AND BUG DO ACTUALLY TALK !!! they have a whole lovely conversation later (in the very last ep lmao) that resolves a Lot i promise guys theyre end game i just like drama and growth.

also sorry it took me so long to answer this i uh... had a lot to say

im gonna start with my faves THE TWINSS!! god i love them so bad okay so we have mindy whos a horror enthusiast/lesbian/stoner shes autistic AS HELL and was def born before chad cos he fr followers her around like a dog and takes notes when she talks (canon!) and chad is a himbo/jock whos just following the lead from the women in his life whether its his sister or the girl who used to babysit him and let him wear his favorite pokemon onesies and now is someone he would kill and die for or her lil sister whos just a lil loser hes smitten over fdkfjfk the twins are amazing their dynamic is classic lesbian/himbo solidarity (STOBIN TEAS) i just know growing up they would ask each other for girl advice and i KNOW mindy would do the opposite of what chad says cos look at how long it took him to make a move with tara jdfjkjkfjdf theyre an unkillable lesbian/bi duo and their mother is played by a lesbian icon theyre just!!!!!!!

and then theres the carpenters <3 first theres sam who’s suffered more than jesus himself. shes an older sister who just wants to take care of her sister and the kids she used to babysit cos all this terrible shit that happened to them is cos of her (in her mind!!) and then sometimes she hallucinates her dead serial killer dad who (to me) seems to represent the darkness in her while tara is the one who always seems to bring her out of that. their relationship was very strained after sam split and left tara with just their mom (who sounds like a fucking bitch!) so since coming back into each others lives theyve had to find a way to balance sam's overcompensating for being gone and trying to be glued to tara and tara adamantly trying to pretend nothing ever happened. but by the end of scre6m they seem to be on the same page and want to move forward together <3 tara is a lil sad wet cat who always just needs a fucking break!!! she has no interest in being part of some murder legacy shes just fed up and would like to have a lil fun take a load off!!! but ofc she cant so instead she has to start stabbing people like her big sis

they all mean sm to me THEY'RE A FAMILY THEY'RE UNSTOPPABLE I WOULD DIE FOR THEM. yeah i think that sums it up
