☀️ IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!! 🌙

This is my gift to myself :) I drew my favorite guys ever.

For a while I've been itching to draw the wedding outfits from this post again. I made them up on the fly as I was drawing, but I actually really like how they ended up turning out. They're super cute!! (though, yet again, you can't see almost any part of Dedede's outfit... 💔)

But then I couldn't get it out of my head to make a companion piece for it, with their mirror versions. And so. I did. What they have going on is a little bit messy, though...

#kirby #kirby series #meta knight #king dedede #metadede #dark meta knight #shadow dedede #mirror metadede #i do like mirror mtdd. like a lot. but poor planning ahead with hcs and ocs caused them to end up. kind of doomed in my thing lol #maybe i'll go in depth about it one day. as much as i can anyway. i haven't fully figured it out myself #my art #couple details:#mk's tooth gaps are probably one of my favorite parts of his drawing. they're just so cute i'm so glad i knocked his teeth out #while mtdd is on Non Descript Happy Place mirror mtdd is specifically in the dimension mirror level from katam and ktd #just slightly. sparklier and shinier. because that's just how i do things. and without the buildings #i did try to add them but it made everything busier than it already was #mirror mtdd's faces are obscured on purpose but if you look closely you can catch a peek of dmk's expression through his veil #which! it's meant to be kind of like a widow's veil.. symbolism and what not #i couldn't think of what the opposite of a star was so i did hearts (for the plating. cheeks. and pauldrons)#i fucked up the rings.. because i got my lefts and rights confused..#but i kept it Anyway because it looked cool. i'm sorry though it's so annoying once you notice #i still have the flats and a better look at ddd's outfit (and a Little of sddd's face)#so maybe i'll post that later #i think that's about it #i'm 20 today :) sigh. the passage of time #god the way this has been crunched sickens me. don't look closer actually

The facial acting of these two is soooo good. Their "let's work together to catch Kira" handshakes, except one is Light with his memories of being Kira (on the left) and the other is him without (on the right).

There's a silent declaration of war going on between the two on the left. L is grinning. Light's smile doesn't reach his eyes. An unspoken "I know you know that I know" passes between the two of them.

On the left, that undertone of animosity is gone. Light's expression is genuine, and L can clearly tell. L is searching Light's eyes for Kira. He's not smug anymore because he can't find him.

It's the exact same scene shot-for-shot and yet it's totally different in almost every other way.

#First one is THE LONG series of GEESE that fly by!!! my aforementioned friends... Or I think I referenced them in tags of some post #days ago. and how I love watching them. See how many there are? And multiple of these will go by. It's like hundreds of them.#Then just the sky because I love the sky. My hair looking ridiculous as it always does when I brush it out of the four big braids I always #keep it in to keep it out of the way lol. I just find it silly how small it can be all braided up and then as soon as it is Released and #combed then it poofs into some sort of swamp dwelling wizard style.#Then... a daily word count... have been so busy the past week that I sadly haven't written much but I'm WORKING on it. Still on the blasted #'odd jobs' tasks sections which were SUPPOSED to be very quick and short. but.. alas.. Though I am on basically the last one. You go work #for one of the enchanting specialists in the city (very important in society since a majority of people cannot do that type of magic) and #basically he just works so much he has no time for a social life so he hires random people to sit with him in the afternoons doing menial #tasks. You show up thinking you'll help with some Important Job or something but hes just like 'no... peel this apple for me.. :)' lol #Edit note: arrgh just had to fish a slippery avocado pit out of a narrow garbage disposal drain with a chopstick. felt like some #sort of taskmaster challenge or something.. gods... I know some people just reach into them. I guess maybe #my hand would fit?? but... erm... scary. what about Sharp Things in there or something.. also Sludge of some sort perhaps.#ANWYAY.. interruption... I got up to go to the kitchen in the middle of typing my tags... lol..#Next image is SLEEPING boye.. And then PIGEONS!!!!!!!!!! my beloveds...#Oh then the giant evil hole in my bathroom ceiling which is STILL not fixed and the repair people still have to come back again.. BUT they #did have this terrible industrial dehumidifier thing they put in the bathroom and just left here for like 5 days and it was like a noisy #hairdryer going at all times and raised the heat in the bathroom from 65F to 76F in like two hours so.. I'm glad at least at their #last arrival they've finally taken it away.... the Noise Beast... silence in my house at last...#though I am still plagued by Mysterious Hole.. the plastic wrap rustles sometimes when I'm in there.... go away...#Ah. Then a delightful little lemon poppyseed muffin someone didn't want and then gave to me. Which was interesting since I haven't #had one in soooo long even though its like a very Classic Flavor.. I do quite like them though now that I've had one again. :0c #Lastly.. mushrooms. I think it's the mushroom season here. Everywhere you go outside there's some new manner of fungus #having popped up from nowhere. I like the variety of all their little shapes. These in particular have an interesting wispy curled layers #sort of look to them. Almost like a shaggy hairstyle that's curled up at the ends or something. They seem neat to draw perhaps.#Okay.. that is all.. I still have literally like 2 costumes and 12 outfits and I think 1 sculpture? to post.. but I am so busy this is #what I can manage for now I suppose lol... quick pictures that don't really take any sorting or cropping or editing lol #photo diary

How it feels to watch minecraft diaries as a 21 year old woman

#the pyre #just passed the point where we meet kc for the first time #btw mcd season 1 is the only aphmau series I watch bc mcd after s1 has a major tonal shift that I cannot get behind #I never got far enough into mystreet to get introduced to all those new characters #and even as a middle schooler I knew that pdh was cringe #and I think she's had other big series outside these 3 but I've never watched #I think it's funny seeing aphmau b4 she rly started taking her rps more seriously and every character has a va #I still love her and the cast (at least the ones I'm familar with) but I wish all her content was brainrot meant to be consumed by toddlers #I check out her channel from time to time and b4 she p much only made videos with #zane kc ein pierce noi mac and ofc her husband #and she still does but I remember clicking on a vid a few months ago and lucinda was there!#and also I've seen garroth and katelyn make an appearance!#I used to love her vids in 2020 when she wasnt uploading rps but it was b4 she devolved into brainrot #like her “minecraft but the water rises” or “minecraft but we can only dig down” vids and I rly liked her #I think that the reason why aph is one of the few old popular mcyters who still is rly popular today is bc of her minigames #like seeing the charcters be all serious in mcd and then seeing them get along as friends in mystreet and then seeing jess and the vas get #along as friends in her minigame vids...amazing #and those vids are v reminiscent of those old vids I think we all love #but I bring this up bc I know that garroth would appear in those 2020 vids but then he kinda...disappeared #so I'm glad he's back even if it's just for one vid #but I havent seen katelyn since like....when pdh was still airing #so her appearance FLOORED me but in a good way #I just think it's funny how many connections jess has #like ppl joke about how theres a solid chunk of former vas who worked on jess' series who actually made it into the industry #good for them #also I wonder how many of the old vas she's still in contact with #and god jess #it's been FOUR years #you got popular for rping WHEN will you upload another rp?!?!?!?1 #upload another rp and my soul is yours

I'm bored and wanna talk, so let me ask a question: what's a show/movie/book/comic/game etc that really fascinated you? Spoiler talk is welcome here (as long as you give a warning for those who don't want them)

I'll start! A few days ago I watched the Truman show for the first time and I thought it was amazingly done! The "enemy faction" felt more suffocating than any other group I've seen a mc have to go against, and they're just a group of actors and a film crew! The fact that this has been Trumans whole life is so disturbing looking at it now, during the age of family vloggers where children grow up as microcelebrities with no personal space or ability to stop the filming until they're old enough to leave their home. So overall, very good film, very disturbing and effective and I would love to revisit it sometime in the future

Appreciation post for 'girly girl' characters and/or shows that celebrate traditionally feminine things that girls and women are shamed for.

Characters on this list that love makeup, fashion, hair, etc. Characters that are still written as strong, intelligent, brave, etc. That told young girls that these interests are valid, they are not lesser interests. Being feminine and liking traditionally feminine things does not make them weak.

#I'm so glad I got to grow up with these girls #I was originally gonna make a post of Barbie Daphne and Stella and be like. They remind me so much of each other #And how much I love characters like them #Because I do #But then I was like fuck it let's just make a post for all the girly girls because they're so good #So here we are. In a world of misogyny. We still have them. And I am so greatful #I'm sad I missed out on celebrating my femininity and stuff like this in my teen years because of just. Stuff I was going through #But I'm glad I'm doing it now. I've been getting into makeup for the past year. Mostly eye it's so fun #The Barbie movie. Dressing up for it. Being proud makeup and skirts and dressing up like I did as a girl. God it was so wonderful #I've not felt this connected to this part of myself in years. It has helped to much #It reminded me of my love for Barbie. The movies. The fairies and mairmaids. The bright colours and fashions #And my love for all of these shows. The outfits and designs I fell in love with. The friendships and sisterhoods in all of them.#Yes it's just Rarity. I know some of the others girls also fit. But some don't as much so I didn't wanna just put a group one #And I know Kim and some others aren't as girly as others. But she's still a good example.#Her and Monique's shopping trip and other stuff is engraved into my mind. I actually think about them a lot I love them #Daphne was also a masisve awakening for me.
