and also i’ve been playing a mod of mine craft with bees in it and also there are bees in the Zine i’ve been producing.

Imo hive creatures are best modeled as extensions and support systems for the producer bee (I refuse to call them queens) because genetically that's what they *are*. The producer bee whose genes best create an organism around them are the most likely to survive and reproduce. Individual bees are almost as genetically similar as the cells in inside one of their bodies

alden just told me that they started putting sensor backpacks on bees to figure out why they're dying out and if imagining little bee friends zipping around with backpacks doesn't make you the happiest you've ever been in your entire life then I dont know what I can do to help you
