Republican vs Democrat
Do you understand the difference or do you just gobble on that propaganda cock the media shoves in your face day in, day out.
On your phone, your laptop, in movies, TV shows, cartoons etc.
All pushing a boogeyman version of "The Bad People".
What do you consider Republican?
To have minimal government and to have the right to choose what you do with your money?
or
Reeeeeee Orange man 34 felonies and MAGAts are Literal NAZIS!!!

I Recognize Not the Empire of this World
A Midweek Essay In the midst of political turmoil and societal upheaval, the words of Speratus, one of the Scillitan Martyrs, resonate with a profound clarity: “I recognize not the empire of this world; but rather do I serve that God whom no man hath seen, nor with these eyes can see.” This declaration, made in the face of imminent death, serves as a timeless reminder of where our ultimate…

It's always "Hades isn't bad or cruel, his deeds are just metaphors of the inevitable death" or "Hades kidnapping Persephone represent the premature death".
But when the argument "Zeus has numerous affairs and many children because he represent the fertile rain" is brought up, all nuance is suddenly out of the window and Zeus is just a womanizer who can't keep it in his pants.

That same Thanksgiving in 1940 when Bob Jones College tried soccer from "Up East," they presented a pageant a few days after, "Calling America."
CLEVELAND, Tenn., Dec. 1.--A pageant, "Calling America," was presented in the Margaret Mack auditorium of the Bob Jones college Sunday afternoon. The first episode, which pictured the landing of the Pilgrims, was portrayed by a group of young men and women of the school, including Carl E. Keefer. A synopsis of America's growth was given by Arthur Brumwell, followed by a procession of forty-eight young people representing the forty-eight states to the platform, each member of the group passing beneath the folds of a huge national flag before being seated. The second episode opened with an address praising America, delivered by Harold Kirkpatrick. America was represented by Miss Marjorie Parker. Following a warning of pitfalls which a nation may encounter, the group saluted the flag and gave the pledge of allegiance. Miss Edwardean Edwards, bearing a cross for a symbol, represented Christianity, and appearing before "America,", made a plea for the many basic principles worthy to be chosen. As each bulwark represented was mentioned a word, or song, was given to illustrate the thought. The program closed with the singing of "God Bless America." Mrs. John L. Stone, member of the faculty of the college, in the English department and author of the pageant, gave the introduction to the program.
Arthur Brumwell was a Senior from Milwaukee.

We all know Marjorie Parker. She was Mary Gaston's niece, married to Monroe, and secretary to Bob Jr.:

Miss Edwardean Edwards was a "Mr." so the paper got that wrong:

I think it needs to be said in light of VERY recent events that violence on the MAGA front is about to increase tenfold. They will see this as permission to carry out the violence they've been promising since day one. Don't fearmonger, just keep yourselves and your families wary. Please stay safe out there, americans.
