Sonic movie 3 SPOILERS

I loved the Sonic 3 movie so much, and I know there's plenty of criticism about the plot changes and I'm not totally happy with them either, but we just all need to collectively remember that movie universe is different from the game universe which is different from the comics which is different from the TV series, etc, etc.

Besides, I think theres plenty of room for retconning his backstory in later movies with how vague they were about how he was discovered. If they wanted to come back to the "ultimate lifeform" artificial creation thing I think they could. Shadow said he "didnt know much about how he was discovered" or whatever, and the only person who flat out said he was discovered in a meteor was Commander Walters who we already know was lying about at least half of that story. However I dont really think Gerald created him because he probably would have alluded to as much, unless he didn't want/ care to admit his deal with Black Doom?

If the detail about him being discovered in a meteor is true, then his plot with Black Doom is totally still feasible, and I'd be very excited to find out how they integrate that in!!

Overall, I think they expressed Shadows backstory very well despite the changes. Sure the implications of some things are changed without Shadows whole "artificial creation" thing, but his story and relationship with Maria was done perfectly in my opinion. Even in the games, the only part of his backstory that constantly affects Shadow is his relationship with Maria, how he was manipulated, and his unknown past. Even with the changes all of these points stay true, so overall I think the movie did a great job!

Just got out of the theater after watching inside out 2 and man,,, sobbed throughout the end bit. I have so many thoughts on the movie and man I love it so much it's definitely become my top 10 maybe even my top 5. It already means so much to me. A movie that like actually changed my brain chemistry and like idk, got a little bit of closure of what happened in my teenage life.

Despite being a kids movie it was definitely written for the kids who watched inside out 1 and are now Riley's age or the people who are well passed Riley's age (me). I'm 22 and well out of high school and man, watching inside out 2 was idk, I really wanted to hit my younger self and tell them everything will be ok.

I love this movie, I love Anxiety and all of her arc and I love her whole thing that yes she changed Riley "for the worst " but she was just trying to protect her and she genuinely cared so much, and Joys realisation of damm I've been doing the same thing and when they all let Riley choose her oWn self OMFG I was an actual mess. When they all hugged her too like 😭😭💖. Amazing movie will probably write more about it later.

Watching Skinamarink reminded me of my first actual memory (or rather the first thing I do remember), I was 3 or 4 and waiting at the bottom of the stairs right by the fridge. The only light came from the fridge so the top of the stairs was completely pitch black. And I heard my dad call out from that darkness I think he asked why I was awake? I'm not sure, but I do remember saying that I wanted milk. So he came down and gave me a glass of milk and for some reason didn't turn on the lights so all we had was the fridge and everything was so white and black.

Anyways I know this is an old memory because a. I have disliked milk for a long time and b. I remember there being stairs so that must mean it was back in our old house lol
