 Yes!! Bappy Candela was actually a very competitive Pokemon trainer with a high win low loss career back when she took her journey. As soon as she reached the League and the Champion though she came short because of her arrogance, but her strength and passion was noted!

 It’s sort of plotted with Awan ( @gocatchem​ ) that it was Willow’s wife at the time who was Champion when Candela was taking her journey and later on gave incentive on picking her as a potential member and then leader of Valor.

She’s very thankful for her experience loosing! Wouldn’t be part of Valor today without it!

One pet peeve Valerie has is wet socks. As in, she hates it when her socks get wet. The fabric just...clinging to her feet and making squishing sounds every time she walks, is a very uncomfortable and aggravating experience.

Another pet peeve Valerie has is off-tune and/or off-key singing. The worse it is, the more it grates on her nerves (and ears). She’s normally too polite to say it, but whenever she hears someone singing poorly, on the inside she just wants to tell said someone to be quiet.
