Reasons Discord's New Mobile Layout Update is Bad

The reply function is redundant, as most people are used to just holding down and tapping the reply option at the top. If they're going to change it, they shouldn't have gotten rid of the member list for this functionally bad option. It also doesnt line up with any other platform in terms of swipe direction.

The member list is gone from easy viewing

It doesnt auto open your last group chat/DM making multiple simultaneous conversations far more difficult and longer

It's already broken my app once (Locked all channels including other servers' to one channel. I could not access anything except that and my DMs.)

You can not see images that have been pinned in the pins tab.

The search function was fine before. Where did your before, during and after date search go??

All of Discord's individuality is disappearing.

Getting used to a mobile format actually impedes usage of the desktop format and likely discourages people from multiplatforming discord because theyre so used to the "intuitiveness" of the new "tailored for mobile" experience

There is no way to CHANGE IT BACK. This is like Tumblr rolling out Tumblr Live without any Disable button At All.

Discord’s new layout is apparently permanent. Keep sending feedback and rating it one star on all appstores; if you get redirected to the advice article, double tap gove feedback.

If you, too, dislike the theme, head to settings (you can double tap your account picture) and go to Appearance, scroll to New Layout and Send Feedback.

Overall, what they've done is disorientate every single current user on discord, and you cannot avoid it unless you've not updated to the latest discord because this is not an update. It is a feature that has already been on the latest update and is being slowly rolled out, like Tumblr Polls.

Good Luck, and may we send as much feedback as possible and have them make it optional or at the least, revert it. I've already sent in at least seven complaints to discord, commented on their instagram post about the layout and I'm about one star review it on google play and app store.

This isnt just the appearance and vibes being off like the new (ish) app icon, this is a matter of functionality.

Details I noticed in Nimona pt 5

It was mentioned in this post on Instagram that Nimona was there in the crowd before the knighting ceremony. A person blocks her from view for a second and she emerges on the other side as a rat

In the video clip the news anchors play of baby Ballister hopping the fence, the Queen is there. She's sitting in a booth on the bottom right of the screen so she's slightly blocked by the crowd watching the news but she sits forward as Ballister runs in. The Director is in the upper right as she leads the class

During Ambrosius' introduction, there's a clip of him taking a selfie with a kid in the Glorodome. There are two men wearing red coats behind them who hug/lean into each other in a very couple-y pose. Are gay relationships ok here?

Ballister smiles when Ambrosius calls him "thinky face." At this point he hasn't even looked at him yet but Ambs can still make him smile

The knighting ceremony must have been done in alphabetical order by first name because that's the only way you would get Ambrosius and then Ballister right after each other

Ballister is definitely bleeding after the jumbotron falls. It looks like dirt in the shadows but he's got a huge scrape on his forehead that is red in the light

There's a reflective piece of glass or metal right by Ballister's work bench. You can see his reflection in it as he makes his arm and then Nimona's reflection as she sits in the chair, playing with the knife

The papers Nimona drew her "resume" on have the Institute logo on them. Somehow she got ahold of Institute letter paper lol

Everyone likes to talk about the symbolism of the eye highlights so here's something interesting. In the scene where Nimona declares herself his sidekick, Ballister's eye highlights are the same shape as hers. His highlights go back to squares in the next scene

A nice bit of character acting- Ballister holds his wounded shoulder as the knights shove him in the holding cell

I know people have already pointed out that you can see Nimona as a rat as the Director leaves his cell but there are also normal rats and you can hear them squeaking

Ballister's prosthetic has a ball at the top of it that mimics the ball and socket joint of the shoulder. That means that it would need something to attach to. He’s probably got a metal bit on his torso that the ball has to go into to be able to have the full mobility of a shoulder. Meaning… Ambrosius took off his arm and a chunk of his torso

As they’re walking past all the knights Nimona beat up during the jailbreak and she says “They were like this when I got here,��� there’s a knight stuffed inside the vending machine and a sword sticking out of the filing cabinet

When Nimona’s cooking the mushrooms for the breakfast tacos, she breathes fire on them but her back is to the camera so that ability is still a surprise to the viewer later. You can tell it's her though because her fire is orange and the fire from the stove is blue

When Ballister takes the arrow out of Nimona's leg, she's sitting on an old car seat(?) and he's kneeling on the ground next to her with one leg up. He's got her injured leg resting across his knee. Idk maybe ppl already knew that but I always thought he was sitting on the seat next to her

The knight that Nimona points to when she says, "He just peed his armor, he peed his armor!" is the otter knight with the cast on his arm (rip that guy lol)

The Institute has a motto that's four words in Latin. It's on the Insitute's logo but is most visible when the Director does press conferences. It reads, "Trad?m?? Securitas ???????? ???????" (The bottom two words get cut off by the podium) I'm pretty sure it translates to "Keeping our way of life safe" which is the tagline on the picture of the Director Ballister has on his murder wall

After the Kingdom rebuilds, there's a shot of hover cars going in and out of the wall. On the wall, they've laid the stones to make a phoenix pattern

When Ballister hangs up Nimona's headphones when he's cleaning up the tower, her sunglasses are hung above them

This is my blog so Imma get on my soap box for one more thing about the whole "spam likers should be blocked" rhetoric.

People seem to have taken the idea from places like Instagram that spam liking gets you shadow banned because the algorithm thinks they're bots and—let me be clear when I say this:

THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS ON TUMBLR

Bots do not like your fanfic and fanart posts and tumblr does not ban you for getting multiple likes in a row!!!

Likes are literally part of the algorithm because tumblr has changed from the way it was back in the 2010s. Reblogs are absolutely one of the most helpful and valid ways to see posts on here—and people should definitely be encouraged to reblog and share with others, but reblogs are not the end-all-be-all of pushing content on here anymore.

The posts that the algorithm shows you takes into account the posts you yourself have liked and what those you follow/interact with have liked. You know these little feature here in preferences?

THEY ARE ALL BASED ON LIKES AND FAVORITE TAGS

Its why you see posts like this if you turn on the option.

Likes have become almost as equal in the algorithm as reblogs. Nowadays, a lot of people on tumblr's userbase only views the site via the mobile app instead of a laptop/desktop. It means that they're more likely to hit the like button on a post and scroll on so they can go back and find it later than they are likely to stopping every second to reblog each post.

That's just how things are now 🤷🏾‍♀️(and yeah that sucks lol)

If you don't believe me, the next time you see a post that has a lot of notes suggested to you in a search, tag or on the For You page—or anywhere on here, check the reblogs vs likes. Sometimes they're relatively equal

But I have noticed that a lot of the posts suggested to me also have way more likes than reblogs.

Again, I am NOT dissing people asking for reblogs because people really should be trying to reblog things from your favorite artists/writers/fandoms, but sometimes people will look at a post with a lot of notes and are more likely to reblog it. If you're looking for engagement then likes count towards that.

Social media has trained us to look at posts with a lot of traction (notes in this case), and make us more likely to share it. When you discourage and block people engaging with your posts via likes, you're just making the algorithm less likely to push your posts in the first place unless someone reblogs it.

And hey, if that's your jam, go on ahead, but even posts with ZERO notes that haven't been liked by people I follow get pushed to me if the algorithm thinks I'm going to enjoy it based on what I post and have liked before.

I could also get into the fact that with the way tumblr is set up, you could be blocking people that have to like posts and follow you from their main blog and reblog via a different side blog.

You could be blocking people that are too shy to openly engage with certain content right off the bat.

You could be blocking newcomers into your fandom.

You could be blocking people that see your content promoted to them in passing and might decide to come back and follow you later.

If you don't care about likes and only care about exposure via reblogs, then uh...ok. But my point is: please stop spreading the idea that likes mean nothing on tumblr 🙃

🤩 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: zekezachzoom Hello everyone! It's time to direct the spotlight toward our community members, and today we will get to know better zekezachzoom!

"My name is Sunny but you might know me better as zekezachzoom on social media. I am a freelance graphic designer and have been a toy photographer for 10 years.

I came up with this profile name after my sons’. Zeke is my second son and Zach my first. I imagined them running away after calling their names, hence Zoom. I live in Singapore where we have two seasons, Rain and Shine. It’s a tiny island and getting around is pretty fast and easy. I have a few favourite spots around the island for toy photography. I will be more than happy to explore these places with any of my overseas friends if they pop by this part of the world! Though sometimes I wish we have mountains, rivers and maybe desert for more outdoor choices. On the plus side, being a small island makes organizing an outing with fellow toy photographers very easy, even if it is a last minute thing.

I started toy photography after posting an image of Spiderman squatting on the window ledge overlooking the neighborhood on Instagram…and then discovering the community. Everyone was and still is very encouraging and I think this helped in me trying to better myself with each photograph. Though Instagram is not what is used to be, but that is a discussion for another day.


Talking about process, if there is a brief for the photo (commissioned work, photo contest), I will usually follow up with some research work on the topic. At the same time, I will park the topic for the photo at the back on my mind and let it simmer unconsciously.

However, for personal work, I usually do not actively chase for ideas, forcing them out. I find that most ideas come to me randomly. This usually happens in a variety of ways, like watching videos on any subject, going about my daily life, observing and listening to things around me. I think being curious about everything and anything certainly helps in generating ideas.

Once I have a photo idea, I then let it sit and simmer further in my mind’s eye. This can help take the concept to more interesting directions in terms of story, setup, composition, lighting, etc. More ideas can be built upon this initial concept base on even more things you see and observe. It also allows time to think about how to setup the shot.

I will always sketch my ideas on my notebook, which is always by my side. At present time, I have more ideas than time to shoot!

When it comes to the shoot itself, I usually start with the mobile phone, quickly checking the angles and then locking my camera to a tripod. I always use a tripod to gather multiple shots of the same angle with different lighting, atmospheric effect so that I can then composite them in post if need be. Then I will shoot couple of shots for final composition without the lighting and atmospheric effect. I enjoy the post production work, especially the color grading part. Sometimes, the word PHOTOSHOP give rise to arguments within the photographic community. To me, it’s just a tool to bring the picture to its maximum potential.

I think people I know in the community know me for my punny, silly and light-hearted stuff. So much so that friends recommend me toys they think that might fit this style. However, recently I find myself going all over the place in terms of themes. I just enjoy the process of experimenting different approaches, be it the storytelling or the technical bits of photography. When I am shooting indoor, I usually set up for low key images. It gives me a chance to experiment with indoor lighting. If there is one thing I would tell my younger self when I started, it’s to pay attention to lighting. It can elevate a nice photo to a great photo. Also, I like to build simple sets with everyday object that end up looking like something else when viewed through the camera. I do this mostly because I am lazy and don’t have the patience to build dioramas. I am usually with a group of friends when I shoot outdoors, because we have a monthly gathering among us. During these outings, I am constantly looking out for areas with awesome lighting. I try to reserve my action shots (ie scenes with flying debris) outdoors, mostly because there is no need to clean up after the mess! Also, outdoor light is beautiful…but fast changing lighting condition is another story all together.

When I first started, it was all about the Star Wars figures. I had stopped collecting figures since the 1980s , but it was the Star Wars Black Series that got me collecting again with all its glorious articulation. Once I discovered the community, I realized that there were other characters to be bought! I sometimes wonder if that is a good thing, from my wallet’s point of view.

I find myself gravitating towards nostalgia when it comes to the figures I buy. So, my collection and images usually reflect that, with movie/TV characters from the 80s. Stuff like Aliens, Indiana Jones, Predator and Back to the Future, etc. However, whether they are LEGO minifigures, statues, 6 inch figures, I will shoot any figures as long as they serve the stories. Each type of figures has its own pros and cons and challenges. But I would not have it any other way.

This is my basic equipment list: • Nikon Zfc with kit lens (16mm to 50mm) • Lensbaby Sweet 35 lens • Helios 44-2 58mm lens • Extension tubes for close ups • 2 speed lights • Couple of LED cube lights • Manfrotto tripod

Why toy photography? I love pop culture and telling quirky weird stories with characters I love. I can never produce awesome looking illustration of these images I have in mind and photography seems like the next best thing. Hence toy photography! When I first started, I was always coming up with ideas in the middle of the night and sketching them down and made it my mission to spread this hobby. I recall vividly telling a friend how much I enjoy this hobby and was going to just keep throwing out toy photos into the internet and see what comes back. And a lot has indeed happen since then: • I started a local Facebook group to organize more toy photography outings and share photos. • Managed to get featured on national newspaper and television, because they came across my work online. • Made friends on social media and participated in podcast by some of these friends. • Conducted workshops. • Shot for some toy companies. • Collaboration with toy designers and model/diorama makers. • Nikon Ambassador.

I have enjoyed the journey so far and look forward to improving myself. Something I always remind myself: your best photo is the one you have not taken yet."

Does anyone else really struggle with establishing connections with people online? I searched it up, and all the search results deal with the opposite problem - people who are perfectly fine talking and connecting online but find it difficult to socialise in person. I'm pretty confident with my in-person social abilities - I'm a little awkward, I mask nervousness with bad jokes, and I have tendency to listen rather than talk, which can annoy some in conversation. Overall though, I think I'm a pretty sociable guy. I love meeting new people, which is something I never would've thought of myself three years ago. But online, where it should be easier, if anything... it isn't. On social media, I feel like a ghost. My Instagram is private, my Discord usage is limited to a few very close-knit servers, my Twitter infrequently dabbled with: on Reddit I'm so anonymously vague that I may as well not be a person. Even here on Tumblr, where I post far more personally and emotionally than any other site, I'm left staring impersonally at the waves of words that wash over my screen. They could be from such a vast array of people - and I don't know if any of them feel like me.

Online dating is a disaster. On the rare occasions I do use those apps, everything is a blink, skin-deep handfuls of air that tell me nothing about a person. I swipe left again and again, occasionally reaching out, but even when they reply, texting doesn't make me feel anything. I tried using a queer dating site, and got a lot of matches (shockingly!) but even when we matched, I found them attractive, we had things in common, all the great hallmarks... I still can't keep any sort of connection going. And it's not them, it's me. I suppose I'm some kind of relic, and not in some self-pompous, 'oh I'm so eccentric' kind of way, but in an 'old rotary phone that sits on your grandmother's bedside table and catches disdainful looks long after she switched to mobile phones' kind of way. The people I want to connect with - the wide and wonderful range of humans out there - are increasingly retreating to cyberspace, and even though it should be the easiest place in the world to find your people, I still can't follow them there. In the end, I guess the fleeting, furtive nature of the way I view the internet is my problem. Subconsciously, some part of me believes that online friendships, relationships and other connections in the virtual world are forever held at arm's length from reality. That any online attachment cannot be 'real' even though I know for a fact they can be, and I want them to be.

I suppose this makes me no different from the decades of missed connection sections in newspapers and whatnot. Well, perhaps one difference: I'm the one who's apathetic about the reply.

Now, this may not exactly be considered cyberbullying in the eyes of the law, or by many outside of the law, however, it's still important to keep yourself safe.

First, what is cyberbullying?

"Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps, or online in social media, forums, or gaming where people can view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal behavior.

The most common places where cyberbullying occurs are:

Social Media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Tik Tok

Text messaging and messaging apps on mobile or tablet devices

Instant messaging, direct messaging, and online chatting over the internet

Online forums, chat rooms, and message boards, such as Reddit

Email

Online gaming communities"

So, what can you do about it?

There are many options, especially on tumblr, depending on what the person is doing.

You can:

Block them from all of your blogs

Report them to tumblr, although be wary, as tumblr often doesn't do anything-[how to report someone, tumblr's guidelines]

If they are harassing you through your askbox, you can turn off anon asks, or turn off asks completely

If it becomes unlawful, and you are getting harassed, or sent content with threats or intimidation, check your local cyberbullying laws. You can likely report someone if they are harassing you.

Log off tumblr; no, seriously. Cyberbullying will always affect you, and you can't just leave, but what you can do is take a break.

If you're a minor, you can tell a trusted adult.

NEVER harass them back. Especially if you are looking to report them; as it can be constituted as unlawful.

Mark Lee x Fem!Reader

Synopsis: You and the boys set off on your road trip to Chenle's cabin, and when you finally arrive, rooms are assigned. Chenle, realizing that there are lot's of things he needs to make this trip perfect, takes some of the boys on a grocery run, leaving you and Mark alone.

"Where's my coffee!?" Jaemin whines towards the front of the car, he and I being seated in the last row of the van.

"Here take it! Shut up now." Renjun yells back as he passes the drink to Jisung, who's sitting in between Chenle and Jeno. Jisung then hands it to Jaemin.

Jaemin relaxes in his seat as he begins sipping on his deadly eight-shot americano. He holds the cup with two hands like a baby would a bottle, "Do you want some?" he asks me with wide eyes, angling the cup towards me.

"I'll pass, Jaem. Thanks though." I give him a smile that he returns, happily going back to his drink. Mark chuckles from where he sits on the other side of me.

I sit scrolling through my phone as some Michael Jackson song plays in the background, "The driver gets full aux privileges" Haechan had said when we first got into the car. We've been driving for about two hours now. What Chenle had failed to mention when he was promoting this lovely holiday trip was that his cabin was four hours away from Seoul. Four. Hours. Four hours of listening to Renjun and Haechan's endless bickering from the front seat; four hours of listening to Chenle and Jisung's bickering from the second row; and four hours of Jaemin resting his head on my shoulder, babbling on about anything and everything as he experiences his caffeine high. Occasionally reaching in front of him to bother Jeno, who's sitting quietly, playing a mobile game.

Suddenly curious, I peek next to me at Mark's phone, wanting to see what his car ride pastime is. He's typing something, it appears to be a poem of some sort, but before I can read it, he's closing the tab and going to scroll though his Instagram. My eyes quickly move back to my own phone screen, worried that he might've caught me snooping. The way that he leans closer to me and cocks his head as he looks at my phone screen lets me know that he did, "Sorry," I say softly, my embarrassment clear.

"Don't be, you're totally fine. Some people just can't control their nosiness, you know my friend Johnny is like that." Mark gives me a teasing smile, his playfulness clear on his face. I scrunch my nose as I look away from him, busying myself with something else.

"I love the smell of money!" Renjun says as we enter the Zhong cabin. High ceilings, with windows that reach them all the way from the floor; huge leather couches; a perisan silk rug that certainly cost more than my rent. The thought of spilling something on any of the furniture here terrifies me. I halfway expect a maid to come out of the shadows, accompanied by bellhops offering to take our luggage to our rooms.

"Me too!" Haechan chimes in as he drops his bags and launches himself onto the couch.

"I'm glad you guys like it," Chenle says as if there was any doubt in his mind. How could anyone dislike this? "There's four rooms down here and three upstairs. Y/N will have her own room of course, so one of you guys will have to share." Chenle explains.

"How about you and Jisung share?" Jeno offers. Renjun and Haechan nod their heads at that.

"You know I like the way you think." Renjun says, squeezing Jeno's shoulders.

"If you think his brain's so sexy then you guys can share a room." Jisung replies.

"I second that notion. I'm obviously getting my own room, seeing that it's my cabin and all."

"And so it was written," Mark says, "I call upstairs."

A view hours have passed since we've gotten here, and we have all been unpacked. Haechan and Renjun & Jeno taking the other rooms upstairs, while Chenle, Jisung, Jaemin, and I take the ones downstairs.

My room is massive, far too big to be occupied by just one person. The thought of this house being empty for most of the year is insane, if I was Chenle, I'd convince my family to rent it out during the year.

"Are there any streamers here?" Chenle yells from down the hall, I peek out of my room to see him rummaging through the shelves of the hall closet.

"I love how you're asking us when this is your house," Renjun yells from the living room.

"Shouldn't you know what's in your own house, Chenle?" Jisung adds.

"You should really know what's in the house and what's not before just you go around inviting people," Haechan scuffs loudly as if Chenle has just asked the most ridiculous question in the world.

"Why are you guys attacking him like that, stop it" Mark laughs as he comes down the stairs.

"They're so mean to me Mark, do you see how they treat me?" Chenle puts on a huge pout, sniffling dramatically.

"Aww, poor baby," Jeno says as he comes over to Chenle and rests his head on his chest, "It's gonna be okay, we'll get you some streamers. Anything else you need?"

Chenle wanted to have two parties over the course of this trip: one for Christmas, and one for New Years. And yet he made no arrangements to get any decorations beforehand.

"Cookie mix, snacks, confetti canons, and all the things for Christmas dinner," Chenle lists off his holiday necessities.

"I need markers, " Renjun yells.

"I want ice cream" says Jaemin as if it isn't 30°F outside.

"Skis."

Everyone's head snaps to Jisung. "You came on a ski trip without having skis?" I ask him.

"I didn't know what kind to get," He defends.

"Well I'm only getting the things that I need, so anything extra you'll have to get yourselves. I'm leaving in five." Chenle goes to living room to retrieve his coat and hat before making his way towards the door.

"Wait for me!" Jisung says.

"Me too." Renjun adds.

Jaemin grabs Jeno's hand and leads him out the door with him, despite Jeno not expressing need for anything. Haechan gets up from where he sits on the couch as well.

"Haechan, where are you going?" Mark asks.

"I want an adventure," Haechan spreads his arms out as he walks out the door, closing it behind him.

"Guess it's just us, then," Mark sits down where Haechan was previously sat and looks over at me.

"Yep, just us..." I cross my hands behind my back as I look back at him, rocking back and forth on the balls of my feet. We stare at each other for a moment, neither of us quite knowing what to do next. We both seem so cautious for some reason.

All of a sudden, Mark breaks the eye contact, and I can't tell if that makes things more or less awkward. He turns on the TV and flips through the stations a bit before deciding that nothing better was on than the evening news, "I'm sure they won't be gone long."

It is well known, that Asian people take the best pictures (........at least the female share of the population), but photographic techniques alone cannot make Ma Long's chronic eye bags disappear, eradicate all the traits that gifted Fan Zhendong his nickname ("Lil' Fatty") or actually giving Wang Chuqin a proper hairstyle for once (on that note: never trust the hairdressers and barbers in Hangzhou¹ ˢᵉᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ᵉⁿᵈ ᵒᶠ ᵗʰᵉ ᵖᵒˢᵗ).

No, that can only be achieved through photoshop, something that most Chinese girls and some of the boys are well versed in. In today's social-media-heavy time, photoshopping has more or less become a must-have skill. But in order to achieve the level of mastery, that the Chinese possess, one has to be dedicated to the craft and spend a lot of time honing their photoshopping skills.

People have long upgraded from simply using photoshop to make their legs seem longer or gift themselves an eightpack, no, nowadays you'll never be able to guess what people are actually photoshopping (with simply just a few APPs on their mobile phones....):

okay im probably very behind but. what the actual fuck did tunglr dot hell do to the image+video function on mobile (rant ahead)

i used to be able to tap an image to bring it up to fullscreen, and from there i was able to zoom in+out (whether with a pinch in/out OR a doubletap), swipe left/right (to slideshow thru every image in the entire thread, whether in the original post or the subsequent reblogs), and ALSO swipe up/down to leave and go back to my dash and the full post. going fullscreen brought up the lil like/rb/share icons in the corner, but if you didnt need them, tapping once on the image made them disappear so you could Focus On The Image You Were Looking At.

with videos, i could click to bring it fullscreen, tap the centre of the screen to pause, and swipe left or right to skip however far forward or back. tapping elsewhere onscreen made the time bar on the bottom pop up, along with the mute/unmute icon and the like/rb/share icons. tapping again made these things disappear. swiping up or down would slide you out of the fullscreen viewer and back to your dash.

this was perfect! it worked wonderfully! no complaints!

but NOW when i click an image, it gives me all this extraneous information i Didn't Fucking Need Or Want (whoever's blog it came from, plus who THEY reblogged it from, plus a tiny snippet of a random caption ((not alt text!! not image ids!! just Other Words!!)) that MAY OR MAY NOT even be from the specific version of the thread im looking at, PLUS the number of images youre swiping thru, P L U S the like/rb/share icons.)

ok i went and looked at tumblr live briefly. how do i even use it it is so confusing and obscure. who are these people? why does it tell me to remember to tell my followers when i go live, is tumblr not notifying them?? if someone i follow goes live would it not notify me?

are the live "accounts" / "profile" things even connected to a tumblr blog? assuming yes.. but why, if all our tumblr activity is via our "main blog" my likes, follows, live viewership (i know this because someone greeted me by my main blog's url/username).. why is it disconnected.

why is it so weird looking on desktop? i literally cannot see the whole video on desktop at once because its in this shadowbox and i have to scroll up and down. i'm on a regular ass 13" screen laptop. like i lterally cannot see the whole thing. oh my god it's a double-scrolling situation but i simply cannot get the whole thing on my screen at once. when i open the 'profile' thing (which i don't even know what it is) it's like in a mobile vertical layout but in a shadowbox inside the live shadowbox inside tumblr and nothing scrolls so i'm getting large parts of it cut off on the top and bottom and luckily a couple pixels of the X to x out of it are visible so i can get back out of it. like have you even *looked* at the experience on desktop?

she has the app downloaded, but that's only because she gets sent tiktoks and it's just easier to have it downloaded than not. it's never something she finds herself scrolling on.

this is another social media app that she wants no part of. she's never had one, nor will she ever because she has no family to keep in contact with and all her friends are nearby.

youtube is where she posts the videos she creates of her two podcasts.

pinterest is mostly a private thing ( as in most of her boards are hidden ) because she pins things for aesthetic purposes regarding different ideas she has and may wish to explore in the future. the only boards that are public are her own personal board ( about herself and things she likes ) and a board she's created for the book series she's already published and within that board, each book has it's own section with things like how she pictures the main characters, their connection, the aesthetic of the location & mystery, etc. reddit is something she uses as a way of connecting with some of her listeners and giving them a place to post their own stories and things they may want her to read/cover because whereas she gets some of her inspiration from r/nosleep sometimes, she also likes involving her listeners and that's a wee bit easier to manage in comparison to emails, especially considering she does everything all on her own save for someone she has help her with the editing of her youtube vids. tumblr is where she posts writings, something like a diary of sorts ( think like inkskinned & sue zhao ), though it's completely anonymous and she'd likely throw herself into the void if anyone found out it was her.

Would you mind giving me a few more details about the mobile links? I tested them from the Tumblr mobile app on Samsung, and from the tumblr.com/omegaxmasterlist blog view on desktop and they both worked. However, when I viewed my blog from a mobile browser, the links redirected and opened the Tumblr app instead of the blog page... If that last scenario is your problem, I'll do some digging and try to fix that.

As for the albums and Spire, the answer will depend on where you buy your albums from.

I'd suggest looking for albums on ebay or amazon, or looking for other FOR X who are selling their albums on twitter, instagram, etc.! Buying secondhand is the best way to avoid giving Spire any new profits. And often you can find sealed albums being sold, so it'll feel just like brand new :)

*However I will say, given the ongoing legal issues, I have literally no idea if Spire is even still making money... Honestly I was surprised that they performed "Play Dumb" at those basketball and soccer games because I thought Spire would own the rights to all their music and usage of it. Now I'm obviously no Korean copyright law expert, but I have to say this feels like a good sign, right? Again, I don't know... but I'm hopeful that OMEGA X will be able to retain the legal rights to everything they did and made under Spire, and that Spire won't make a single penny off those boys every again.

To ME, the best way to support them is just to love them. Listen to their music, keep an eye on @.omega_x__for_x for any upcoming schedules, and show them that FOR X will be here waiting for them no matter how long it takes. Besides that there really isn't anything we can do. Just promise that as a FOR X, you won't let the world forget about OMEGA X.
