the problem with being bad at mental math and also having my job is that today I saw that a machine would take 360min to equilibrate before I could use it and I was like "oh cool that's only 3 hours, idk why I felt like I had to start this at 9am, I better work on getting my samples ready" and then I went to check on it at 11am when the samples were ready and it wasn't even halfway done so I kind of shrugged and went to a meeting, still not done post meeting, OH WAIT 360min is actually six hours.

fuck.

#and it should be easy bc it's a 120mL column that equilibrates at 1mL per minute #so every column volume takes 2hrs #and equilibration is a 1.5CV into water and then a 1.5CV into buffer #and that's 3CV total times 2 which does in fact equal sox #but in my defense I was also listening to MBMBAM #its okay I was going to run this sample overnight anyways #not to be a biochemist on main

Thought I'd go give 2004 me--who was so stupefied at how the Yankees blew a three-game lead to get swept by the Red Sox in the ALCS that year (and was first radicalized by it probably)--some closure here now that I'm impartial to baseball 🧦

[Also ft the Anime Zakka store my friend recommended to me, the Riverway IPA I had at the Trillium Brewery I was *hoping* to stop at (see my new get from said anime shop), and the grub I stopped for at a local gay bar which was tasty (alas the delish fries were left unfinished)]
