Did Glyn Dillon come in to bridge the art of Kindly Ones with Doll's House in the issue where Rose goes back to England? I always thought the slightly more conventional art was trying to draw a parallel to the earlier issue the same way the story does but that seems unlikely now.

Everybody who came in on the art of the Kindly Ones was there to help us make up time and catch up and not be later than we already were. Having said that, I normally knew who was going to draw what I was writing so I could write for them specifically, which allowed us to have (for example) the Charles Vess pages in the issue you're thinking of.
