Anonymous Twitter Q: How do Tabby and the boys feel about cats? Or pets in general?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Given their living situations not many pets are viable to keep. Sun would love to have a dog though!
They do adopt a sickly stray cat, and she is very well taken care of by Sun. She helps Moon relearn how to take care of little things again, how to be gentle and patient again. 💕
Moon catches bugs and pigeons often, while Sun looks at the animals at the pet store for hours.
Tabby likes animals but, because of her lifestyle, hasn’t really had many prior. The cat fits well with her, but fish had very bad luck with her…
Prior to Sun she hardly took care of herself, let alone an animal.

I burnt myself today and had a proper wound and the wound was leaking clear watery stuff and I kept wiping it away
until my friend told me that the water is actually my white bloodcells trying to help clean the cut and create a scab to heal me
and now I feel bad for my white bloodcells.
like all they're trying to do is help me and make sure my burn dosent get infected and I'm wiping them away.
After all they're doing for me I'm so mean to them
I didn't know what they were I'm sorry
(now I'm crying over CELLS)

So, a while ago I bought a cheap glue gun at TEDi because I was crafting a ton and thought "Why not make my life easier and give this tool a spin?"
And because this was my first time using it, I got impatient at one point and broke something inside, which stopped the trigger from working. So, after a quick trip to the store to get another one, I decided to see what this broken one looks like on the inside, and, if I can figure out what exactly I managed to break.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First of all, woah this looks cool! Love seeing what stuff looks like on inside!
Second, it seems the plastic connected to the metal spring was under too much stress and heat, so the part clasped onto the trigger tore off.
There's no way I'm gonna try to fix it, I opened it up purely for curiosity. The wires and all that fun stuff has to go.
What I will do though, is be more patient with the new glue gun, and probably look into getting a better one.
...aaaaaand I am gonna repurpose the housing. I am getting into cosplay, and I have a feeling this thing will come in handy. >:3
And here are the comparison pics between the old and new one, and a pic of how the housing was held together!

OBSESSED! How to make EASY coffee filter flowers!
What you will need:
depending on how many you need - buy cheap white coffee filters or maybe the natural ones (experiment!)
food color
scissors
string
Glue or glue gun
Optional: floral tape, floral wire, paper lantern
buy white coffee filters (the cheap ones!!)
take the filters out of package and flatten them
fold about 5 in half and cut the top in a wavy pattern
it takes about 5-10 filters that have been cut to make flower
set aside cut filters
take the string and hang like a cloths hanger
fill a bowl (or however many bowls you need) with warm water
put drops of food color into each bowl to color the water as light or as dark as you would like the flowers to be
take about 5-10 coffee filters, flatten them out (does not have to be perfect) and soak in water until they are wet and dyed
squeeze most of the water gently out of them
hang them to dry
when completely dry separate into piles of 5 or 10
Use scissors to cut a small slit in the top of each filter layer, about 1/2 inch deep. Repeat this process for each pile of filters
stack them on top of each other, alternating the direction of the petals to create a full-looking flower
using glue, glue bottom to next layer, twisting and gently pressing, repeat until all filters are glue together. Fluff and shape to get desired look.
I even tried using tried using different scissors. My favorite was pinking shears.
REALLY COOL: put some food coloring without water on little plates and use to paint the out side of the petals! Or color the inside!
(Optional) Wrap floral tape around the base of the flower and the string to create a cleaner look. (Optional) Insert a floral wire into the base of the flower and wrap with floral tape to create a stem. (Optional) Attach the flower to a paper lantern or use it as a decoration on its own.
And there you have it! Easy coffee filter flowers that you can make in any color you like.
I hope you post pixs!

Tabby was awoken by a soft voice and a loving hand; opening her eyes to both sunlight peeking through her curtains, and her own personal Sun sitting on her bedside. She blinked up at him, groggy.
“Good morning, Sunshine.” He smiled as soon as he saw her eyes open.
“Mornin’.” She yawned, rubbing at her face.
Sun allowed her a moment to fully wake.
“Did you have a good time?” he finally asked, reaching to smooth back her hair.
“We went to the old place I worked at, and we played in the jungle gym, and-“ she started to ramble but Sun stopped her with a gentle smile.
“I know.” He nodded, “I was there.”
“You were…” she echoed, eyes wide.
“I was there for every moment.” He tilted his head to ask again, “Did you have a good time, Starlight?”
She rubbed her face a bit, then nodded, “Yeah. It was fun.”
“Good.” His smile widened for a moment before it fell away to make room for a look of concern. “How’s this?” He asked, moving the neck of her shirt to the side.
The bite Moon had given her prior was scabbed over, surrounding skin was bruised purple, however.
“It’s fine.” Tabby sat up a bit, pulling her shirt to hide the mark.
Sun’s optics narrowed.
“He needs to be more careful with you.” He warned, looking over the other marks that littered her skin.
“I’m fine, Sunny.” She reiterated, adding, “And you’ve given me plenty of bruises before.
The memories of all the handprints left on her thighs and sides from his antics flashed through both their minds. Sun’s fans kicked up.
He scoffed, crossing his arms and looking away indignantly. “Well I've never done anything like that.” He huffed.
Tabby stood from the bed, pausing as she passed him to land a quick kiss on his cheek.
Sun’s stern look fell instantly, rays spinning.
“Yet.” Tabby teased, kissing his cheek again. She stepped away to add, “And besides, what’s one more mark to,” she gestured down her body, “all this.”
Sun noticed her smile fall as her gaze racked over her legs, the skin there a patchwork of burn scars.
“Star…?” His head tilted.
Realizing she’d said too much, Tabby withdrew, waving away his worry with a hand, “It’s fine.”
Sun watched her leave the room, listening as the bathroom door closed. He waited, optics closing as he forced patience. As soon as the faucet could be heard he was on his feet, closing the distance with large steps.
Finding the door still closed, he rapped his knuckles on the cheap wood, asking, “Can I?”
“You May.”
Opening the door, Sun watched her wash her face for a moment, head tilting to the side. It was rare to see her bare face, Tabby having the bad habit of sleeping in her makeup. It fascinated him.
Her gaze shifted to meet his through the mirror, cracking a little smile to ask, “What?”
“Just admiring.” He hummed, still holding onto the doorknob.
Get out of here.” She giggled, nose crinkling up cutely making his rays spin.
“Breakfast?” He asked.
“Please!” She turned now towards him, “I’m starving.”
“Pancakes?” He offered, “Or toaster waffles?”
“Pancakes, please.” She smiled again.
“Can do!” He brightened, moving to let her by.
She went to change for work, pulling her hair back into a bun as she went.
“Starlight?” Sun called after her.
Tabby paused, turning a bit.
“Moon said he had a good time too.” Sun smiled softly, “He wanted you to know.”
“Good!” Her face brightened.
~
Tabby typed away at her computer, eyes furrowing as she tried to figure out the most recent issue in a string of problems. Moon padded in, head tilted completely, arms hanging limply at his sides. He stood for a few moments, waiting to be noticed.
Tabby, unfortunately, was utterly engrossed.
Moon’s smile fell, padding closer.
“Star.” He rasped, coming up behind her.
“Huh?” Tabby hummed, leaning forward a bit to squint at the screen.
Moon made a low, almost growl-like sound, reaching around the top of her chair. When she didn’t react, his claws squeezed into the plush back a bit, impatiently.
“Movie?” He finally spoke, the single word framed as a question.
Not picking that fact up, Tabby tried to brush him off, “Yeah, sure, go watch a movie buddy. You know how the tv works.”
Moon tightened a bit, claws flexing.
“Movie with me.” It was no longer a question.
“I’m trying to code.” Tabby retorted, “Money on the side, remember.”
“Movie.” He repeated, making her snort indignantly. He paused for a moment, processing.
Moon began to shake the back of her chair, chanting, “Movie with me. Movie with me. Movie with me. MOVIE WITH ME!”
“Fine! FINE!” Tabby threw her arms up, admitting defeat with the current roadblock anyways.
Moon ceased his shaking, smile cracking his faceplate as he watched her carefully save and file her progress.
“Well, go set it up.” She turned towards him.
Moon, face still plastered with a wide grin, shuffled out obediently. Tabby watched him, sighing to herself.
They got comfortable on the couch, Moon holding his arms open expectantly to Tabby. She leaned against him, the animatronic making a happy sound to follow.
Tabby absentmindedly ate candy from a small bowl, fingers itching to play on her phone.
“Please?” Moon asked, holding up a large hand.
She dropped a few pieces into his palm, looking up over the top of her head to watch him toss them in his mouth, the crunch of the candy coating to follow.
“Do you like it?”
“Yes…” his voice rasped back.
Moon’s attention shifted back to the movie: a romance, and a corny one at that. The main characters would profess their love over and over again.
Something piqued the animatronic’s interest however…the man saying ‘We were made for one another, just you and me. No one else.’
His optics shifted between the screen and Tabitha in his arms, something inside him aching.
M: Sun?
M: Sunny?
S: Hm?
M: Human love…they like to have one special person. Right?
S:Hm….In a lot of books and movies.
M: That’s normal for them.
S: Correct.
M: ONE person…
S:…yes…
M: I-Is…Will she…choose one of us?
S: I…I don’t know.
M: That’s normal, for her to do that. F-For her to have one special person. Does she even see us as p-people?
S: She does!
M: Then Will she-
S: I don’t know!
M:…
S:…
M:…
S: …do you want me to talk to her, to ask?
M:…
S: Moony?
M: …I don’t want to be forgotten again…
S: I’m here.
M: …can we talk more about this later…?
S:…
S: Of course.
Moon’s hold on Tabby tightened a bit, his faceplate shifted to nuzzle into her.
“You okay, big guy?” She asked, reaching up to pet his faceplate a bit.
Moon leaned into the contact, making a little sound.
She felt soft shaking from him, almost too faint to detect.
He squeezed her tighter, face fully buried in her hair.
“Want to skip the rest of the movie?” She offered, already reaching for the remote.
He gave a tiny nod, not loosening his hold.
Moon was clingy and moody the rest of the night, following Tabby as she readied for bed like a puppy. He clutched onto her legs, scrunched up near the floor, as she washed her face.
“Let’s go to bed.” She glanced down at him after drying her face.
He gave a little nod, hardly moving.
Once in bed, the cuddling continued, but a bit more charged. Moon’s hands felt all over her, Tabby giggling as he found little ticklish spots.
“Kiss?” He rasped, voice low as a large hand cupped her face.
Wordlessly she leaned closer, lips catching his.
It was more chaste than normal, Moon breaking it quickly to nuzzle their foreheads together. Tabby rubbed his back softly, listening to the inner working of his chest as she drifted.
Eyes falling closed…
She woke, the room still dark. Her body felt hot, metal pressed up against her skin. Tabby opened her mouth to question the animatronic that shared her bed, but a wave of pleasure made her words peter out into a muffled moan.
Gravely laughter filled her ears, the pressure of fingers petting her sex, waking her up fully.
“Moon?” She managed, realizing he was quickly abusing all the little places Sun had found previously. Whatever melancholy that plagued him earlier was clearly replaced with different emotions.
He didn’t play around with ‘red light green light’,plunging two fingers into her cunt. Another realization dawned on Tabby: Moon had claws.
She tensed, a shiver of fear running down her spine. Little pinpricks of pain radiated from his exploring hands, the only ones seemingly ‘safe’ were the two currently shoved knuckle deep in her.
He began a fast pace, body pressed up against her back.
His hips bucked into her in tandem with the rock of his fingers, simulating the feeling of him truly fucking her.
Tabby mewled, trying to hid her face in the pillows.
That wouldn’t do.
Oh no no.
Moon grabbed her throat with his free hand, more of his weight falling on her. He pulled her head back, thrusts becoming more forceful.
“Pretty little sounds.” His voice rasped in her ear, “Hear all the little sounds.”
The rumble of his voice vibrated through her, causing her cunt to clench around him. He laughed, shoving his fingers even deeper. Pain mixed in with the pleasure, the lines blurring as tears pricked her eyes.
“Fuck!” She cried out, back arching as he pulled her taut by the throat.
“Cry little Kitten.” He urged, nipping at her shoulders and back.
Moon was much more forceful and demanding than Sun, wearing his desperation on his sleeve. He was never much skilled at masking his emotions.
He curled around her, twisting her head to the side, as he caught her lips with his own. He huffed hotly into her mouth, dry tongue tangle with hers and he kissed her roughly. Tabby’s mind was a slurry, no coherent thoughts.
He pulled back enough to bite into her bottom lip, tongue bathing over the droplets of crimson. Her eyes were fuck drunk and glassy, Moon moving to lick up her stray tears.
“M-Moo-,” she tried to choke out, clenching around his fingers.
“Cum.” He commanded, “Messy, so messy!”
Tabby let out a strangled cry, loud and keening. Moon’s fingers rocked into her at an inhuman pace, making her orgasm crash harder, tumbling over the edge into overstimulation. He laughed cruelly as she writhed, hips stilling to focus on her pussy.
A second orgasm was drawn out, small and shaking, making her cries change an octave.
Realizing just how overwhelmed she was, Moon froze, fingers mercifully pulling out of her with a wet sound.
Tabby clung onto the pillows, hips still trembling in aftershocks as she tried to steady her breathing. Her mind felt like thick soup, working in overtime to piece everything together. Moon quickly licked his fingers clean, moving to cuddle into her like a proud cat soon after.
He trilled, faceplate bonking her as he shifted around in the bed. Tabby rolled into her side, fuck drunk, as she instinctively reached out for him. He accepted the invitation instantly, hugging his arms around her.
“Pretty, pretty star.” Moon whispered, petting her hair.
Tabby relaxed into his hold, sleep already threatening to pull her back under. Her body sang with a mixture of tingling afterglow and exhaustion.
S: Didn’t want the big talk to happen without her knowing what you could offer, eh?
S: Sneaky sneaky.
Sun’s voice gently chided.
Moon, with a big boost to his confidence from her reactions, hummed back into their headspace:
M: Evened the playing field.
S: We will see.
M: …
S: Are you worried?
M: of course…
S: Moony…
M: Sun?
S: I’m here…no matter what happens tomorrow, I’m here.
Moon clutched Tabby’s sleeping form a bit closer, simultaneously reaching out into that shared space. He felt Sun’s presence, warm and welcoming, wrap around him. It was the closest the two could attain to a hug, their consciouses coiling around one another lovingly.
It soothed his chaotic mind, allowing him to ease into rest mode…
~
Sun waited until she was home from work the next day to broach the topic, seeing the morning as too brief for such discussions. A downside to that decision was that he worried himself into a fret while she was away.
Tabby noticed instantly that he was jumpy, clinking his fingers together and hunching forward more than normal. She knew if he could sweat, he’d be doing so now.
“You okay Sunny?” She asked, eyeing him.
“Me!?” He jumped, forcing a smile, “Well I’m just swell! Don’t you worry about me.”
“Uh huh…” Tabby’s gaze narrowed.
M: Smooth like butter…
Moon chided him.
“I’m gonna go tend the garden.” Sun announced, already marching towards the balcony.
“Okay…” she murmured, adding “I’m going to go catch up on that coding.”
Sun closed the glass doors behind him, turning towards the tiny pods he had placed along the balcony edge. The ‘garden’ was in all actuality one of those herb grow kits you could find at the grocery store.
His rays wilted, allowing himself to breathe a bit. The herbs needed no tending, all that always taken care of during his morning charging routine.
He tapped his faceplate, trying to bolster himself a bit.
“Star…?” Sun’s voice came softly from the doorway.
Tabby sat at her computer, typing away. “Yeah, Sunny?” She acknowledged him without turning.
“Can I talk to you?”
“Sure.”
Seeing her so engrossed in her task gave him second thoughts, almost chickening out entirely. Moon, thankfully, set off an imaginary party popper in their head with the words ‘you can do it’ forming in the confetti. It brought a soft smile to his lips, pressing forward.
“With the recent…occurrences,” Sun carefully picked the words, “Moon and I were just starting to worry that you may…” he fretted his hands together, eyes downcast.
“Worried I would what?” Tabby asked, turning the chair fully towards them.
“Well that you would,” he hunched a bit in his fretting, “Want to choose one of us.”
“Choose one of you?” She echoed.
Sun nodded, not meeting her gaze.
“I mean, after you both showed interest, and given your special situation I kinda thought we would do a polyamorous thing?” She explained.
Sun tilted his head, looking at her, expression befuddled.
She gave him a patient smile, instructing, “Look it up.”
Sun paused, optics looking far away and unfocused.
Tabby waited.
Processing the information Sun exclaimed, “Ooooh! You wouldn’t choose at all then?”
“That’s the idea.” She agreed.
“Are you sure, starlight?” Sun’s voice thick with concern.
“I've never been poly in the past, but given the current situation, I think it would be the best option.” She admitted, cheeks rosey, “And it’s not like we’ll have to fight over shared time, you two kinda naturally divide up the day already.”
Sun eased a bit, the feeling being replaced in an instant with uncertainty.
“It’s normal for people to seek out a monogamous relationship, isn’t it?” He ventured.
“What about us is normal?” She asked back, brows furrowing.
“Point taken.” He gave a weak nod, moving on to ask more directly, “But you’d be comfortable, being with both of us?”
“I wouldn’t have gotten this tangled up if I wasn’t.” She smiled.
Sun almost looked relieved, a rigidness leaving his posture. He chucked a bit, admitting, “Its odd.”
“Hm?”
“Most viewed us as emotionless machines… Being treated like equals, not to mention individuals is…” he searched for the word, “…refreshing.”
“Well you are individuals.” She frowned, “Both have entirely different personalities.”
“Yes, but…” Sun rubbed the back of his neck, “Someone actually caring enough to learn that fact is a new notion to us.”
“I’m sorry.” She reached out for his free hand.
“It’s alright.” He forced a smile, “Hardly close to the worse we’ve faced.”
“Not better.” She retorted, squeezing his hand reassuringly.
He gave a nervous chuckle, asking, “But you are serious? A-About the polyamorous relationship?”
“As long as you both are comfortable with the idea, I’m open to try it.” She nodded, “This is all new territory for the three of us.”
“More than comfortable.” Sun moved to clasp his other hand over hers, cradling it between his much larger ones, “Excited, even.”
“And Moon?”
“And Moon.” Sun confirmed, “We just agreed I would be better at handling the details.”
“You do like to talk.” She teased, nose crinkling up a bit, getting a bit more serious to reiterate, “So let’s just keep going how we’ve been going, you’ll be my boyfriends and I’ll be your girlfriend. I honestly have no idea what titles you give one another, that’s more between you both. And…time is already split up.”
“But you stay up so late and sleep in.” Sun pouted.
“And you’ll get more time with me on my days off.” Tabby pointed out, “I don’t work every day. So the time will be even.”
He made a whiny mumble at that.
“It will be all fair. Moon gets to stay up late with me, and you get mornings, early evenings and days off. Easy peasy.” She waved her hand.
M: Lemon squeezy.
Moon chuckled in their head.
“And you’ll get to be my cute little house husband for breakfast and dinner.” She added cheekily.
Sun’s fans kicked up, “I suppose that’ll be fair.” He looked away, flustered.
Tabby giggled.
She gestured for the animatronic to lean closer, him obediently complying. Taking a lower ray in her hand she pulled him into a kiss, Sun melting into a puddle in her grasp. Just when he was mush she tightened her grip a bit, breaking the kiss to shoot him a warning glare.
“Now if you both don’t let me finish this project I’m going to jump off the balcony, I swear to god.” Her voice was stern with annoyance.
Sun nodded, putting up his hands in surrender, “You got it! No more interrupting. We promise, we promise, we promise!”
She released him, softening a bit, “Good.”
Sun straightened, goofy smile returning quickly. His optics shown hearts as he watched her return to work. Seeing him still there, Tabby pointed to the door, “Out!”
Sun scampered away quickly to avoid further wrath.
As soon as night fell Moon crawled up to the doorway to her office. To his dismay, the light was still brightly on.
Moon made a displeased sound, pacing back and forth at the border of the shadows.
“Wait!” Tabby pointed at him without turning, still working diligently. Huffing she explained, “I’m almost finished and this is due by eight am. Got it?”
Moon whined and blubbered, falling onto his side on the carpet.
“Cry all you want, big baby.” She grumbled, “I would have had this done last night if you guys had just let me work.”
Moon went limp on the floor, watching her with a single red optic. His music box kicked on, gentle melody filling the room and making sure she couldn’t forget he was right there.
Eventually Tabby was able to finish, sending the files over and leaning back to stretch. Her back made a loud pop, rousing Moon from his stupor. Had he possessed a tail, it would surely be wagging as Tabby reached for the light, the animatronic perking up.
Shutting off the main light, Tabby shot him a soft smile, sighing, “Alright, work is done.”
Moon closed the distance between them in a second, almost knocking her out of her chair. He wrapped himself around her legs purring, reaching up to cup her face in his large hands.
She giggled softly, drawing him closer into a hug, hearing the mechanisms within him humming loudly.
“Together?” He croaked, not breaking the contact.
“Yes.” She nodded, smile at her lips. She moved just enough to press their foreheads together, “All together.”
Moon purred, feeling like a weight was lifted off his chest.
They stayed like that for a long moment, a sound making both pause: a gurgle rumble. They shifted to look down between them, Moon asking, “Hungry?”
“I may have skipped supper…” Tabby admitted sheepishly.
Moon unlaced his body from around her chair, standing to take her hands expectantly. “Come on, come on, come on.” He urged, “Make food!”
“Do you know how to cook?” She asked, allowing herself to be drug along.
He stopped to shoot her a flat look.
“Whelp…I don’t really either.” She huffed, passing him into the kitchen. She thought for a moment, tapping her foot.
“Hey!” She exclaimed, pointing to the top of the cabinets, “We have easy food.”
Moon padded forward, head not needing to tilt much to look at the spot, pointing himself, “Junk food?”
“Junk food.” She echoed, her voice dropping an octave to mimic a more comically villainous tone, “Yessssssss, you can reach. Yesssssss.”
Moon’s faceplate cracked into a toothy smile, shutting out Sun just as he noticed what they were plotting.
Turning, Moon grabbed a few packages, holding them up for approval.
“Yes. Come to Mama.” Tabby made grabby hands up at him.
Snickering, Moon handed down the spoils.
Shuffling towards the stove, Tabby asked, “Have you ever had hot Cheetos ramen?”
“N-No?” Moon cocked his head.
She flashed him a smile, setting a pot on the stove, “Well, you gonna!”
Tabby boiled the water and crunched up the chips while Moon enthusiastically ripped open the ramen packet. He stood, hunched forward to watch the noodles bubble, sulking when she wouldn’t let him open the season packet.
“This requires finesse.” She instructed seconds before ripping the packet a bit too far and making a mess.
Moon broke out into a fit of laughter.
The ramen consisted of the cooked noodles, broth, crushed Cheetos, shredded cheese, and hot sauce. Tabby eagerly dug in, kicking her feet at the island counter.
“Try?” She slid the bowl across towards the animatronic.
Moon tilted his head to the side, carefully taking the utensils in his large hands.
A smile shadowed Tabby’s lips as she watched him, seeing the ways he could do more delicate tasks just as easily as his counterpart, despite his more animalistic tendencies. It was always a contrast that tickled her with amusement.
He took a large bite, chewing and swallowing, setting the utensils down slowly as he did so. He stilled, eyes narrowing a bit.
“So?” Tabby asked.
Moon grimaced, shaking his head a bit.
“Hot?” She cracked a smile, “Spicy?”
He panted, sputtering out, “Y-Yea!”
She laughed, watching him try to bend his head into the sink to drink the water straight from the tab.
He huffed out, shooting her daggers as her laughter deepened.
Tabby gulped in air, trying to compose herself as she brought the bowl to her side. Twirling noodles onto her fork she jested, “Pussy.”
He growled making her snort.
Once Tabitha was off to work the next morning and every chore completed, Sun searched out Tabby’s laptop during his allotted ‘me time’. It was easy to find, still on her bedside table, it’s main use now as a device to assist during bedroom activities. Bringing it into the main area, he sat on the couch, sitting it on the coffee table before him. Leaning forward, he opened it up and pressed the power button.
M: What are you doing?
Moon’s voice echoed curiously through their shared headspace.
Sun made a sound of acknowledgment, not quite wanting to give an answer. Fiddling around with the laptop, he gingerly took one of the cords, plugging it into the port in the back of his faceplate.
M: You’re gonna masturbate!
The other hollered out as Sun accessed the program.
“Nonsense.” Sun waved him away, “You need genitals to do that…and I don’t have any, silly.”
M: This seems close enough…
“Well…Now that all those pesky relationship issues are more or less taken care of I thought I could give myself a bit of a break.” Sun sighed, optics flicking downwards.
M: Pent up?
After a long pause he answered, softly, “…yes.”
M: Well you are going to want to tweak those input parameters if you really want to get a jolt.
M: Up enough I can feel something too…would be nice.
Sun complied, something inside of him clenching.
Was he embarrassed? Excitement maybe?
He cleared his head, pressing the button.
His senses was once again flooded with pleasure, biting at his circuits and humming through his systems. Over too quickly he pressed it again, optics falling closed as he chased that euphoria.
This was the first time he attempted this venture alone, all prior exploits with Tabby at the wheel.
She was much more careful…
With encouragement from Moon, Sun upped the level with every press, free hand gripping the couch. Fingers dug into the fabric, claws threatening to rip through it entirely.
Moon found one of his recordings: this one of Sun using the toy on Tabby. Her cries rang around their head as the video played behind his eyes like a movie.
Optics began to glitch, pleasure burning him from inside. In his haze, Sun cranked the, already dangerously high, level up.
Distracted by the video playing, Moon happened to glance at the live feed from Sun’s vision: seeing his finger moving to press the button again, and the red warning flashing on the screen.
M: Sun wa-
POP
Darkness overtook them as a crackling hiss left the animatronic, falling limp onto the couch.

Tabby unlocked the door, the quiet that greeted her very peculiar. Shutting the door, she just turned to call out for Sun when her eyes fell on the still form.
“Sun!” She dropped her bag, rushing around the couch to grab at him.
The animatronic was dead weight, optics black and lifeless. There was a faint smell of burnt wires in the air, making Tabby’s stomach sink further.
“Fuck.” She cursed, trying to soft reboot him to no avail. She unplugged him from the laptop, tossing the cord aside, trying to keep her panic at bay.
Taking a deep breath she began to drag him towards her office, it being a job in itself seeing as he was dead weight.
But she’d done it before…she could do it again.
“I’m going to chew your ass out so bad when you wake up!” She huffed as she pulled, pausing to add much more quietly, “…Please wake up. Fuck please wake up.”
~
Sun felt his consciousness blink back online. Everything was dark, main systems chugging to boot up. Diagnostics flashed in-front of his vision, a summary of the shut down popping up next.
That feeling he had in his chest prior came back with a vengeance as his vision finally came online.
Tabby was standing before him, face brightening at seeing him awaken.
Guilt and embarrassment washed over him in a thick wave, his rays fully retracting. He looked her over:
She was still in her work clothes, hair pulled back messily, and her sea green eyes were red and puffy.
Had she been crying?
He worried to himself.
“Sun!” She exclaimed, throwing her arms around him with relief. She squeezed him tightly.
“You scared the shit out of me.” Her eyes watered afresh, burying her face into his chest. The metal was just started to warm up as he booted fully alive.
He moved a bit to hug her back, the shift making her jerk back, eyes sharp. Sun jolted.
“What were you thinking?!” She snapped, giving him a hard look.
“I…” he started.
“What if I couldn’t fix you?” She pressed, “What if you fried yourself bad enough it caused a fire?!”
“I’m sorry.” He mumbled, seeing her move away a bit to give him room. Tabby watched as he tried to work through his thoughts.
“I…I just wanted to feel good?” Sun looked away, embarrassment burning through him, “Feel that way again…”
The fire left her eyes, “Why didn’t you say something?”
“….didn’t want to bother you.” He admitted in a whisper.
“Bother me! God damn!” Her voice raised with renewed annoyance, “You literally keep me alive, please bother me.”
The animatronic looked like a small child, caught with a hand in a cookie jar, worrying his hands together. He couldn’t meet her gaze, jumping when she surged forward to hug him again.
“You scared me.” Her voice was barely audible, muffled in his chest.
“I’m so so so sorry.” His voice was genuine, thick with regret.
“It’s okay…” she finally deflated, moving away to fall into her computer chair heavily, more hair falling free from her bun. “I’ll try to figure something better for you, something safer.” She murmured more to herself.
His head tilted in a silent question.
Her eyes flicked over to him, tired, “I kinda just went with the first thing that worked…it’s clearly dangerous, especially when used alone.”
“I won’t do it again.” Sun looked at his feet, ashamed.
“No! No.” She shook her head, “It’s normal, to do…that. It’s healthy.” Tabby swiveled her chair, putting her head in her hands, thinking. “I just need to figure out something better.” She sighed, closing her eyes.
After a long moment, seconds that felt cavernous, Sun ventured to ask, “How serious was the damage?”
“Well you fried some wires…I had to replace those to get you up and running.” She frowned, not looking up, “You could have really hurt yourself, or wiped you memory or something.”
He started to apologize again but she stopped him, looking at him now, “Sun…sweetheart, I’m not mad.” Wilting more she added, “I was just scared.”
“Come on.” Sun stood, reaching for her, “Let’s get you a hot bath, you deserve it.”
Tabby nodded, accepting his offered hands. Everything hurt, pulling muscles in her fight to get him into the office.
A hot bath sounded heavenly…
Leaning back in the bubbly water, she shut her eyes, letting the warmth sink into her bones. A soft rap at the cracked door roused her.
Even given the late hour, Sun stayed online, in an attempt to remedy earlier issues. He kept his faceplate turned away from the opening, hand still raised against the door.
“Sun, you can just come in.” She sighed tiredly, “You’ve seen me naked, like, so many times…”
He wordlessly complied, Tabby perking up when she saw a plate in his other hand. He shuffled forward, mood still melancholy. Holding out the plate he asked, “Would you like a tub sandwich?”
“A tub sandwich?” She echoed sitting up, a giggle to her tone.
He nodded, “It’s peanut butter and jelly…”
“Sure!” She took the plate, sitting up fully to hold it above the water. Smile still on her lips she asked, “What did you do with the crusts?”
“…I ate them.”
Tabby laughed fully at that.
After eating the sandwich in large ravenous bites, she handed the plate back over. Sun placed it on the floor, moving to sit on the closed toilet.
“Oh!” Tabby announced, suddenly remembering, “I almost forgot, but Arav is coming over Saturday. Just to hang out.”
“Noted.” Sun gave her a forced smile.
“You’re not going to be all jealous this time…right?” Her eyes narrowed.
“I’ll play nice.” He huffed, straightening out his legs, feet touching the far wall as he added with a lower tone, “On one condition.”
“You think you are in any position right now to make conditions?” She raised a brow, but going on to ask anyways, “What is your terms?”
“You’ll tell him we are together.” His faceplate turned to eye her, she could swear she could see a pupil trained on her in the milky grey.
Tabby flushed, looking like a deer in the headlights.
“Unless…” Sun looked away a bit too pointedly, “You are embarrassed of us.”
“You are being an ass right now.”
“Am I?” His gaze shifted back.
Tabby lay back in the water huffing. After making him sweat for a moment she conceded, “I’ll do it.”
“You will!?” Sun exclaimed, jumping up, all previous sour notes absent from his voice.
“Yesssss.” She reiterated.
“YEEEAAAH!
Saturday~
“I’m her husband!” Sun announced happily, almost making Tabitha choke.
Their plan to gently let the visitor know about their budding relationship quickly being forgotten in Sun’s excitement.
They sat on the couch, Arav sitting close in a kitchen chair, eyes shifting between them.
She slapped Sun’s arm, correcting much too quickly, “Boyfriend! He’s my boyfriend!”
“I’m her boyfriend.” Sun echoed, beaming.
“Uh..huh…..” Arav nodded, looking at them critically.
Tabby was crimson, sitting very rigidly.
Arav shrugged, relaxing a bit, “Well whatever makes you happy.”
“We are in love!” Sun gushed.
“I mean, literally anything is better than Cain, am I right?” He chuckled. The look of mirth left his features the moment he realized what he’d said.
Arav suddenly looked worried, overly worried even.
Sun tilted his head, smile faltering. He glanced at Tabitha.
She was rigid, a far off look in her eyes. Heartbeat raised
“Star-?” He started before Arav interrupted.
He was a mess of apologies, leaning forward to place a hand on her knee, “Hey, I’m sorry! Tabs, you okay?”
Tabby blinked, masking in an instant. She waved her hand, forcing a smile, “It’s okay! No harm done.”
“Who is Cain?” Sun asked softly, detecting the fear hidden in her words.
Her answer came firmly, tone not to be questioned further, “He’s no one.” She swallowed, not meeting his gaze.
Arav didn’t give anything away either, making a pit from deep in the animatronics gut.
They moved to her office; quickly forgetting, for forcibly avoiding, whatever misconduct happened previously. Arav worked hard to make her laugh, doing anything that came to mind.
Sun appreciated the care…but that question burned in his mind.
Moon perked up at the mention as well, combing through all the files he’d made of her over the last few months.
Holes in the information, entire years of her life washed away and left with nothing, suddenly looking glaring.
He had no answers to give, making the question burn further.
Sun worried his hands together, watching the humans enjoy each other’s company from afar.
After showing off a new game she discovered, the pair grew quiet for a moment. Arav scooted a little closer, eyes lighting up curiously.
“Animatronic hm?” He hummed.
“…yes.” Tabby sighed.
“A mascot animatronic?” He clarified, smile cracking his lips.
“It just kinda…happened.” She put her head in her hands, starting to ramble, “He’s so nice to me, and he takes care of me, and I've never felt this, he-“
Arav cut her off, “I wasn’t judging, just curious.”
They were quiet for an another long moment, Arav’s voice growing a bit more soft.
“So how are they…you know?” Arav asked while making a lewd hand gesture.
Tabby flushed but answered, “Good! Like really good.”
It made a smile crack across the others face, laughing as he said, “Damn I might have to get me one of those!”
“Good luck…” she stood, retrieving a notebook as she added, “Their models just became a thing of the past with Fazcorp doing so shitty.” She thumbed through the notebook, sitting back down, “I wasn’t going to ask your opinion on this, since it’s embarrassing as all fuck, but seeing as we are on the topic…” her words trailed off as she it handed.
Arav took it curiously, quickly reading over the open page and the following schematics. He burst out laughing making Tabby snap at him defensively.
“Calm down.” His laughter petered out into chuckles as he looked the page over again, “Do they are just smooth down there?”
“Their previous occupation didn’t really have the need.” She hummed.
“But they ‘have the need’ now?” He wiggled his eyebrows.
Tabby tried to snatch the notebook away, Arav easily keeping it out of reach.
“I shouldn’t have even said anything!” She huffed, hotly.
“Now, now, now.” Arav soothed, “I think I can help.”
Tabby sat back down, listening.
“I don’t recommend building something that delicate from scratch.” He gestured to the schematics, “Changing programming and mashing stuff together to make it work was more your speed.”
“You can make stuff though?” She noted.
“I’m not building you a robot cock, Tabs.” He said flatly, “I will give you a recommendation, though.”
He moved past her to the computer, typing quickly before moving away. On the screen was sex toys designed for long distance couples, each one able to send sensations to the other when in use.
“These are pretty common, so you can get them cheap.” He explained.
Tabby looked it over, a light bulb going off.
“Oh!” She smiled, “I could change where the sensory output goes!”
“Yes.” Arav nodded in agreement. He went on to explain his idea further, droning a bit until a sound stopped him in his tracks. The ping of the checkout cart made him pause, blinking at Tabby.
She glanced at him, crimson.
Arav burst out laughing all over again.
The rest of his visit was light hearted and full of joking, it taking the man noticing the late time to finally start saying his goodbyes.
“Are you staying for dinner?” Sun asked as they made their way into the main living area. His question was genuine, lacking the hostility awarded previous visits.
“I can’t.” Arav declined softly, adding, “I really need to get back.”
“Thank you, for the advice.” Tabby looked down, embarrassed.
Arav chuckled, shooting Sun a knowing smile.
Sun’s rays retracted nervously.
A few days later…
Tabby returned from work, surprised to see Sun sitting on the couch, watching tv, with a blanket over his lower half. He had an arm draped over the back of the couch, turning slightly to wave, “Welcome home, sunshine!”
“Hey.” She greeted back, putting away her shoes and bag, moving to unbutton her work pans.
She eyed him for a moment, the blanket still giving her pause. Being an animatronic he didn’t really suffer from temperature changes outside or drastic shifts. Eventually she just chalked it up to his eccentricities, choosing instead to look for the package her email said had been delivered.
Sun normally excitedly informed when anything appeared at the house, so his silence made Tabby worry it had been deliver to the wrong house. Finding the counters and table bare, she wandered back towards the main area.
“Did anything come in today…?” Tabby asked, trying to keep her voice nonchalant.
“Something like-“ Sun jumped to his feet, blanket falling to the ground, “THIS?!” Revealing a strap on harness around his narrow waist, with a marbled purple toy mounted on it.
Tabby went crimson, Sun breaking out into roguish giggling as he began to close the distance between them.
“Wait. Wait. Wait.” Tabby started to sputter, backing up.
Sun’s steps grew over-exaggerated and comical, reminiscent of the bouncing movements Moon would make in the plex.
She began to circle the kitchen island to keep distance as she tried to explain, hand up begging for mercy, “It’s not ready yet, I need to-“
“It looks ready to me.” He pressed, circling the island himself.
“Wait!” She squealed, taking a sprint down the hall as he rounded the island in a run.
Being much quicker, Sun was able to box her in at the end of the hall, hands up to trap her. Tabby slid down the wall a bit, hands up in surrender.
“So…” he drawled out, cocky smile painting his faceplate, “What were your plans with this?” He wiggled his hips a bit in emphasis.
“Was that the only thing in the box?” She asked.
“No.”
“Well…I’m sure you read the instructions.” She began, Sun interrupting instantly.
“I sure did!” His head clicked to the side, cheer a bit too forced in his tone, “It’s weird you ordered toys for couples that live far far far away, when we are right here.”
“Let me explain.” She wilted.
Sun closed his mouth, eyes narrowing a bit, but he kept quiet.
“They are made to send feeling between them.” Using her hands to show a traveling wave, “I was going to try to redirect the output to you instead of the female toy.”
She waited as he processed her words, the animatronic suddenly brightened.
“Oh!” His smile returned, “That’s a good idea. You are a smart cookie, sunshine!”
Tabby huffed, relaxing a bit against the wall. Glancing back up at him, she asked, “So…can I have it back?”
Sun straightened, tapping his faceplate showily as he hummed, “Hmmmmmm.”
“Please?”
“Weeeellll, since you asked so nicely.” His smile widened, reaching for the buckles.
The toy fell easily from his hips, handing it over.
“Thank god.” Tabby signed, asking after, “Where is the other half?”
“Already on your desk.” He waved.
Stepping away to give her room to stand, snickering as Tabby chided him, “Go put on pants!”
Sun left her alone to work, allowing peace to do what she needed. It was fairly simple to rewrite the output, but it would need to be dialed in; not only to hopefully avoid future shutdowns, but to also give them sufficient feedback.
“Hey!” Tabby chirped, toting the laptop into the main room.
Sun jumped a bit on the couch, head swiveling to look at her curiously.
“Take them pants off.” She smiled.
“You just told me to put them back on?” He cocked his head.
“Yes….” She came closer, setting the laptop on the table, “This was alot faster than I thought it would be. So off.”
Sun complied, taking the harness soon after to buckle around his pelvis. Getting comfortable, Tabby plugged him into the laptop.
“So we need to dial in how intense the output is from the toy so you get proper stimulus.” She explained, reading the program, “I already redirected it to your touch processor.”
Sun listened intently, rays clinking back and forth.
“Now…this won’t feel quite the same as a human orgasm.” She added a bit more melancholy, “You don’t really have the proper processors for that.”
“Can we get them?” He asked hopefully.
“Maybe…” she frowned, “It would be completely new hardware, and we would have no idea how it would affect you since you weren’t built with that function in mind.”
He smiled now, “We are good at adapting!”
“I know, sweetheart.” Tabby smiled softly to him, “But this would be like shoving in a new organ into a body. No idea how it would react with all the other ones…” she typed away at the computer for a moment, sinking to her knees on the carpet. Finally she turned back towards him, “Okay, it’s ready.”
Shifting closer, Tabby slotted perfectly between Sun’s legs. The toy stood like a tower before her, held in place by the strap. Sun’s smile fell, looking a mixture of anticipation and awkwardness, rays retracting a bit.
“Relax, I don’t bite.” She batted her eyelashes up at him, giving a giggle when his fans kicked up.
Reaching out, her fingers wrapped around the toy, seeing Sun twitch as soon as the contact was made.
Good.
Tabby thought, leaning forward, lips shadowing over the purple silicone. She gave the toy a long lick, Sun’s rays twitching.
“How does that feel?” She asked, moving to pump her hands up its length.
“A bit numb.” He admitted.
Sitting back on her feet, she turned a bit to adjust the parameters. Using her free hand to languidly stroke the toy, Tabby listened to Sun’s reactions until it was tuned in to her liking.
He would squirm under her touch now, fans kicking up.
“How is it now?” She smiled cheekily, pumping with more purpose.
Sun’s mouth fell open, covering his faceplate his his forearm as he stuttered, “G-Good!”
“Good, good.” She purred to herself, giving the member her whole focus, giving the toy the attention of a flesh and blood cock.
Loved to see him grow twitchy and needy after all the times he reduced her to a blabbering mess with just his hands.
“You are the sweetest, most reactive, boy I've ever been with.” Tabby mused, leaning with her forearms on his legs, eyes hooded.
“S-sorry.” Sun bit his lip, looking bashful.
“Don’t be.” She smiled softly, “It’s cute.”
“Cute?” He echoed, rays spinning.
Drawing coy circles on his thigh, she asked sweetly, “So want to take it on a real test drive?”
Sun’s fans kicked up loudly, making Tabby laugh.
~
His hips thrust quickly, the sound of metal slapping skin echoing around the room. Sun’s faceplate tilted down, optics shut tight as he concentrated on the building pleasure. The new toy gave him some feedback, the pressure of her tight cunt squeezing the cock he pretended was his.
Some feeling.
It popped and cracked through his processors, Tabby lovingly jerryrigging everything to the best of her ability. They were in new territory after all, learning as they went.
But it was enough, Sun biting the silicone of his lip, chasing that high. Sex was no longer one sided, no longer the animatronic leading with a cool calculated head.
No.
It was fast and needy now. Sun needing to feel that rush of ecstasy, to feel even a shadow of what could be had.
His fingers dug into the meat of her thighs, static hissing from his voicebox as she clamped down on the toy again. Hips stuttering, movements restricted by the tight grip.
Sun shivered, arching his back as pleasure blinded him. Tabby was deaf to his glitching sounds, fucked stupid into the mattress, face buried in pillows.
He fell forward, catching himself on the headboard before he could blue screen, fans whirling to cool him down.
“O-oh Sunshine!” He managed, optics glitching.
“Please S-Sun!” Tabby begged, hiding her face in her hands, feeling overstimulated.
Sun’s hips were already starting to thrust again, feeling her body suck him back in.
“One more.” A large hand went to her hip, steading Tabby to fuck into her more earnestly, “Just, just one more.”
She made a sound of complaint, body already building quickly to another climax, flesh sensitive and swollen. “That’s what you said last round.” She whined.
“Feels so good.” Sun retorted, biting his lip, “I want to do this forever.”
“God no!” Tabby protested, “You’ll kill me.”
“No, no, no.” Sun shook his head profusely, “I’ll take care of you, such good care of you.”
“I’ll die.”
“Just one more then? One more for now?”
“ONE more.”
Sun’s rays spun, movements never ceasing, “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
Later, Sun needed to help her to the bathroom, cleaning her up before wrapping her up in a burrito blanket. He pressed his faceplate to the crown of her head, whispering sweet nothings as he got her comfortable on the couch.
“My whole body feels like jello.” She grumbles, shifting around to play on her phone from within the blanket.
“Jello is fun!” Sun chirped, wilting a bit when she shot him a sharp look.
Sobering he padded closer to inform, “I let Moon know to take it easy on you…that you need rest…”
“And?”
“And…he agreed.”
“Okay…”
Sun shifted a bit, worrying his hoodie sleeve. “So, would it be alright if I switched out?”
“Tabby laughed, making his rays retract. “So you fuck me stupid then just make Moon deal with me.” She snickered, face half hidden by the blanket. Sun saw the sparkle in her sea glass eyes, a tell she was ribbing him.
“Well.” Sun huffed, turning away with crossed arms, “It’s technically Moon’s time and we did agreed to split up the day.”
“Uh-huh, sure.” Tabby rolled her eyes, going back to her phone.
Moon shucked off Sun’s outfit, not moving to pick them up nor retrieve his clothes from the hall closet. Instead crawling into the open side of the couch, knotting himself up to fit. He nuzzled his faceplate into Tabby’s side before huffing and relaxing.
“Naked boy.” When Moon made a sound, Tabby added, “Its ok, I’m naked too under all this, she gestured to the blanket.
Taking the remote, Moon flipped on to tv to a show he’d been watching sporadically, optics trained on the screen with mild interest. While on her phone, Tabby began absentmindedly petting the animatronic down the side, hand smoothing over the warm metal.
Moon leaned closer, optics falling close the longer she continued. It was quiet and soft, both simply enjoying each other’s presence.
Slowly her hand drifted to a stop, pulling away to rest on her phone. Moon’s optics cracked open, bristling a bit.
Moon shifted, grabbing her wrist to bring her hand back to him, not relaxing until she resumed the petting. Every time she attempted to stop, that interaction repeated, Moon not allowing that to continue. As her hand softly traced over the seams of silicone etched into his casing he began to vibrate from deep in his workings, the sound echoing from within like a purr.
~
“We are low on bread…” Sun murmured, looking in a cabinet. He was mentally making a grocery list, as he always did, puttering around the kitchen.
Tabby was buckling up her boots, making a sound here or there to let the animatronic know she was listening.
It was her next day off, the pair needing to run down to the store for the biweekly grocery run. It used to be a drive, but seeing as Sun could hold much more than a human, he was the honorary bag toter. He was just overjoyed to be important.
Sun slipped on his brightly colored crocks, retrieving their reusable bags.
“Hey, grab the umbrella.” Tabby instructed, getting her purse.
He cocked his head at her, “The storms aren’t supposed to be here till next week…?”
“Just in case.” She shrugged, “I don’t want my boyfriend to get fried in the rain.”
“I might still be waterproof.” Sun gestured to the silicone repairs.
“I don’t want to test it today.”
“Fair.”
It was a bright day, cloudy here or there, but the sun shone through. True to his word, the thunderstorms seemed far off, but with the decline of the earth’s overall climate weather was getting harder to predict.
Everything was normal, the two talking over Tabby’s recent side projects while Sun told stories from his babysitting.
A sound made the animatronic pause, the smile over his faceplate faltering. It was high pitched, echoing off the brick walls from somewhere far away. It was almost like the cry of a baby…almost, the sound triggering Sun’s programming, alerts to tend to the child popping up in his vision.
It wasn’t a baby, but it was definitely in distress.
Tabby saw him stiffen, rays almost trembling as his faceplate swiveled to the side.
He was listening, optics far away.
“Sun?” She asked, tone tiptoeing on worry.
Still focused on whatever drew his attention, Sun murmured, “Something’s wrong…”
“Sun?!” Tabby stood dumbfounded as Sun turned down the next street, walking swiftly towards the sound. He was blind to the other people on the street, almost bumping into a stranger here or there. Tabby dished out apologies as she chased after him, the animatronic being quite swift when he needed to be.
He turned down an alley, Tabby quickly behind him. She could hear it now, a desperate little cry.
They came to a pile of rubbish, Sun not caring for the grime as he knelt down to shift through the trash. He carefully dug until a box was revealed, clearly lived in.
There in the bottom, laying in a mess of soiled rags, was a little cat.
Its fur was dull, the color of charcoal, ribs easily seen along her sides. The little creature meowed pitifully, eyes widening with fear as the animatronic opened up her little home.
Sun’s face was a mess of concern, reaching in to feel over the animal. The cat cringed, fluffing up the best it could in the wake of the large metal hand.
Tabby’s stomach dropped, seeing Sun completely break.
“Sun…we can’t..” she began but the words stuck in her throat when he turned to look at her.
Optics were pleading, voice hardly a whisper, “…Please?”
Tabby swallowed, looking away a bit.
“It needs help.” Sun begged, free hand stroking over the creatures side. The cat relaxed a bit, comfortable enough to start meowing once more, little cries for help.
Tabby looked between Sun and the poor thing, both of them weighing heavily on her heart.
“Sun…it’s…we shouldn’t..” she tried to explain.
“Please?”
She swallowed again, finally nodding, “Okay…okay.”
He expected him to brighten, to relax a bit, but he didn’t. Instead turning to reach into the box. With the gentleness used when handling a newborn he reached in, scooping up the little creature. It was maybe just a few pounds, becoming silent the moment it was lifted.
He tucked her into his hoodie, keeping her warm and safe as they b-lined to the corner store.
Sun stood patiently outside, large hands cradling the cat through his hoodie.
Tabby rushed out, hands full of supplies: multiple bags stuffed inside a plastic litter box for easier handling.
“Can you take this, please?” She offered out a box of litter to him as she attempted to balance the rest.
He nodded, shifting his hold on the animal to one hand and he reached out to help tote all the items home.
Sitting up everything in Tabby’s room, the cat having hidden under her bed, Sun kept rearranging the items over and over. In between his manic episodes he simply crouched near the bedside. The animatronic kept tilting his head back and forth, fingers twitching.
Sun’s interactions with animals had been few and far between. Sure they had been pest rodents or bugs, even the occasional bird, in the plex, but they were creatures quickly removed. It wasn’t until he was free that he could truly enjoy the interactions.
He’d pet a dog here or there, even fewer cats. So his total engrossment and crushing curiosity was understandable.
Sadly, to the cat, he was very large and imposing. His quick movements, and louder than average voice, did not help.
Tabby had to keep reminding to lower his voice, the sentiment quickly forgotten in his excitement.
At least Moon is more quiet…
She thought.
Sun’s counterpart never raised much past a rasp. Being a nap time bot he was more akin to whispering, that being worsened by lack of use. Even with the damages to their voice-box, Sun could get quite loud, it was just unfortunately full of pops and cracks now.
Once night fell, Tabby was overly hopeful for much needed peace for the cat. Those hopes would become quickly dashed the first time she went to check.
Moon was on all fours, legs so far apart he was almost flat at he peered under the bed. His head cocked to the side, gravely giggles emanating from his voicebox as he reached under the bed.
Tabby could hear the cat hissing as he did so.
Moon, undeterred, kept trying to grab at the little creature, red eyes large. The cat was a messy ball of fur, all stuck up in fear as it attempted to look as intimidating as possible. It swiped at him.
“Moon?!” Tabby scolded sharply. Her brows furrowed.
Moon jumped a bit, almost smacking his faceplate on the bed frame. He pulled his arm back slightly as he looked at her, his face a mixture of guilt and mild confusion.
“Don’t do that!” She pointed at him, “You are scaring her.”
“Kitty cat.” Moon looked back under the bed, excitement alighting him once more.
“Moon, no!” She pressed, coming closer to look down at him as stern as she could.
He wilted, scrunching his lanky form upon himself as he backed up to blink up at her.
Moon’s little display tugged at her heartstrings, Tabby rubbing her temples as she huffed out a deep sigh. “Okay, listen…” she forced her voice to be more gentle, “She’s scared and sick, it’s mean to try to grab at her now.”
“Mean?” He cocked his head, voice cracking from its low volume.
Tabby knelt down to be closer. She reached out for his hand, Moon shifting to take it wordlessly. “We have to give her space.” She thought for a moment, “Remember when you first moved in?”
He nodded.
“And now everything was different and scary?” She sat on the floor beside him, waiting until he moved into a siting position beside her to continue, “Well she’s just like you were. We have to be patient and give her time to settle in.”
Moon nodded, looking away as he processed her words. Tabby could hear the soft sounds of his mechanisms humming from within his chest. The animatronic finally speaking, “Cat is broken?”
“In a way.” Tabby patted his thigh, “She needs warm and food to fix her up. But she won’t eat if she scared.”
~
Once allowed peace, the cat slept most of the next few days away, only getting up to eat or drink secretly.
Tabby snickered at the excited text she received at work from Sun:
Sun: She used the litter box!
Tabby: Good! She’s healing.
Sun: She’s such a good girl. I tried to congratulate her but she ran back under the bed…
Sun: :(
Tabby: XD
After hours of silence, Tabby started to feel a bit worried. Today was a later day, it being after dark by the time she pulled up the apartment. With Moon’s odd behavior around the new animal, the silence was deafening.
Opening the door, she was met with dim rainbow lighting from her entertainment center, a dark shadow in the middle of the rug.
Moon stood still, just standing quietly.
“Hey Moonman.” Tabby hummed, coming inside.
“Hello.” He rasped.
“Where is the cat?” Tabby asked, siting her bag down.
“GlueGun.” Moon corrected.
“What?” She paused, tilting her head.
“GlueGun.” Moon repeated, pointing towards the couch.
Tabby followed his directing, spying the glint of little eyes from behind the couch. The cat blinked back at her, just as confused.
“Did you give her a name?” She questioned.
Moon nodded.
“And you chose GlueGun?” Tabby giggled.
He nodded again.
“Why though?” Her giggling thickened.
“She liked the cord.” Moon answered, as if stating the obvious.
The words processed for a moment, Tabby bursting out into a fit of full laughter. “Thank GOD she didn’t play with one of the vibrators first!” She held her sides a bit, “Or or the strap!”
Moon’s smile widened, staticky snickers of his own joining in.
“GlueGun…” Tabby thought it over once ate started to calm, catching her breath to add, “What about GG, for short?”
“GG.” Moon echoed.
Seeing the first person that wasn’t a giant imposing metal creature, the cat wandered out towards Tabitha, once she removed her scary chunky boots at least. The little cat rubbed against her leg, already looking better.
Tabby reached down, stroking her along the spine. She was still boney and fur was rough, but her eyes were bright, blinking up at Tabby.
“GG, you like that?” Tabby asked, petting her more.
The cat was silent, looking quite indifferent to the name. She quickly dashed away, going a bit faster as she darted past Moon.
He made a sound, twitching a bit, every fiber wanting to give chase.
“Moon.” Tabby warned.
He gave a raspy whine, but stayed in place.

グルーガン
Tumblr media
