The two I’ve finished so far are: Something About a Bear by Jackie Morris and On Being a Bear by Rémy Marion.

I’m currently reading Eight Bears by Gloria Dickie and planning on starting The Bear by Michel Pastoureau.

Last night I went to Outfest in LA. I though I was going to support friends, the talented filmmaker Daresha Kyi and my longtime pal actor and producer Scotch Ellis Loring. The film is called Mama Bears Doc. I thought it was about a bunch of lesbians who wanted to be in the #gaybearcommunity! Well I gotta read the whole email before I donate to a friend! lol. It's about these wonderful mom's who support and hold their children up in the #lgbtqia community. The film touched my heart so and made me so grateful for my own mom Gloria Laskey who excepts me just the way I am. and i'm a big OUT handful! It was great to see old friends Frank DeCaro, his husband Jim Colucci and Armand Fields. And new folks who run and work for the MamaBears&Cubs🐻🤍 Kimberly & Kai Shappley, Sara Cunningham Tammi Terrell Jones - Martin and so many more who raise up their kids and the kids who support forgive their parents. Finished learning about the American interactions with populous black bears; the American Black Bear being the only non-vulnerable or full on endangered bear species.

Now I’m off to focus on another bear species- the Brown Bear, or Grizzly.
