It’s official, principal photography on my new film REDLINING is finished. Im the director, producer, co writer and actor! OY! What an absolutely wonderful work experience this was for me, I learned so much from everybody. There’s so many people to thank. And so many people I am indebted too. My heart is full. For that I’m forever grateful. For those of you wanna make your own films, the thing that I really learned was planning. Being prepared. Having a vision, but also listening and being open to other peoples ideas.

But in this time of madness and unbelievable actions that have been taken by the orange one.... with all the strikes that we have gone through our business this year and 40% loss on for working actors like me and some many others.... Sometimes I felt like there was no hope. I put simply but one foot in front of the other. Showed up each day and continued to push my project forward. I started six months before with conversations and support from my BFF, Alexandra Paul and Kareem Ferguson and asked them to play my mother and my lover in the film. Then I asked my dear friend Lee Garlington to come on as actress and to look at my script and see if we she could make it better because I knew something was missing. She not only helped me but she became co writer. I called my friend Steve Campbell and told him what I was doing and said I can’t do this without you. He showed up with an open heart and came all the way to LA to be by my side. then I hit up my brother from another mother. My friend, Billy Clift our incredible DP and Editor, who held my hand thru the hole entire shoot with kindness and mentorship. I asked my Actor friends who feel like brothers and sisters to me, the supper talented Dalila Ali Rajah, Linna Carter and Scott krinsky to lend their talent and they did. I had the incredibly brilliant team, the amazing “Edward Scissorhands” hairstylist Dennis Bailey, my new friend Make Up Artist Amy Lederman, My buddy the multitalented production designer Susan Hopper. Costume designer Shon LeBlanc. brought clothes from four different years and let us use his truck and again did I say and he had a truck! The l’ll do anything Script Supervisor Nancy Cohen, quiet talents of sound, Eric L.Bucklin and my lighting and second camera, Jeremy Pappas, who is like "MacGyver". My old friend Kim Brant-Lucich and her Hubby, who stepped in like she produced her whole life. For Jamison Reeves for keeping us all on track with kindness. And Belinda Carroll, who came all the way from San Diego to associate produce. Not to be forgotten our PAs is Dominik Son and Zack Labeaux. Who’s only words only were thank you for the opportunity. Our department assistance @Kassia Kassia Fundoukos, Jackie Weiss, Joe Matke, Annalisa Adams , @Geri Indante, and Hannah Lowen. The lifesaver who gave us the 1970 cars, Scott Graham. And all the young actors who played myself, Kareem and Lee at younger ages Ethan Walker, Brian Mganga, Lilo Bair, Ivan Sinitstin, Ghalee Whadood, Jr, Lela Hoffmeister and their fabulous parents. Casted by the fab Dea Vise. Also could not be done with out all our Ex. Producers including Steve & Kim, Howard Nugent, Mitch Battersby, Christy Rodriguez de Conte, Wendy Alane Wright Ronni Sanlo, Kelly Watson and Kenneth John Hill And last but no least, Howard and Lee for letting use their beautiful home! Sooooo, we are still raising funds for the post production. Well after months of planning... we have started production on REDLINING. Im acting, directing, co-wrote with Lee Garlington (actress & producer) and producing. It's a film all about generational youth. All my pals are doing double duty working on the film. I'm supper excited to be working on this film this week! When they say work breeds work... guess its true! Booked the 3rd film in a row (well, the 2nd one. I'm directing, co wrote and producing, so I had an "in" with the producer, me!) It's called BLACKWOOD. I play a guy named "Lyle" who is sorta the town "Helper?" and in everybody's business. Who's either a really nice guy or is he a murder? Really fun horror film with a new director who could be my son! lol. From #filmmaker Truman Kewley and co-starring Emilija Wellrock. Can't wait to play with folks!
