I was SO cold taking this lmao. Coord from the first 2025 market day at Doll Funeral! Tried to match the reds in the gobelin with the red on my cutsew and tights, but this lighting did not do that justice so you can barely tell lol. Was nice to wear something cute and work an event after being sick and busy every single day. Now I'm back to school work.

In December 2024 we had a cookie decorating meetup.

Our resident cookie witch made a LOT of cookies and some ginber bread houses and supplied a metric tonne of icing, sprinkles, and marshmallows for us to decorate with. We'd done this the previous halloween and I guess I didn't get the spook out of my system then.

It was very cold (-25°C + windchill) so I was wearing some thermal shirts under my shirt, and fleece leggings, and arm warmers, for the journey.

So despite having issues with this brand in the past I wanted to give them another try due to there not being many companies that offer custom stuff for lolita, and not having good experiences with even the more expensive ones that DO.

So let’s just go through this in chronological order

I started my communications August 3 2024.

We got all the details finalized and I specified what measurements I needed

Communications were slim until I asked about shipping close to the date I needed it for

This was when I realized they made a jsk rather than an op. I told them to send it anyways since it was for an event.

When I received it it did not fit properly. The bodice was so short it barely cleared my chest, interesting since I specified a bodice length specifically because of this issue. They kept the shortened skirt length I requested but didn’t lengthen the bodice so it was nearly unwearable, it was so short on me I couldn’t even wear a petticoat. The bonnet was also unwearable. They offered to remake both so I accepted this.

However you can see that it took months- I checked in constantly and was ghosted most of the time. I can’t attach all the screenshots but there are more of me just asking for updates.

While they did extend the bodice the fit is awful. It’s huge on me, gapes in the bust, lifts and falls off the shoulders, and the shirring doesn’t even START to stretch. They extended the bodice but didn’t extend the lace design so it looks awkward and unfinished.

I planned to do an in depth review but this entire experience was so irritating and frustrating that I barely even have the energy.

Communications 2/10

Many things they told me were blatantly untrue, they’d go weeks without responding, and they’d make up excuses over and over without ever solving the issue

Quality 5/10

The dress fabric is nice quality. It’s a nice thick Gobelin but isn’t scratchy or uncomfortable. There are some strange construction choices like faking pin tucks by just leavi ng a bulging dangling flap of fabric on the bodice. The skirt is very full even without a petticoat. Bodice is constructed very straight, not allowing for the curve of my bust.

Fit: 3/10

I’m confused how both pieces were sized wrong in opposite ways. The first version was way too short and quite tight, honestly though it fit better than the remake. The second one is a good deal too big for me, the bodice leng th is what I asked for and the waist does fit but the rest of the bodice is very poorly fitted and the sleeves are quite loose. The sleeve part isn’t an issue but I thought I’d note it.

Over all I’m incredibly disappointed. I hope this brand takes feedback and genuinely improves. I want indie brands to thrive but the service and products I’ve gotten from them versus what I can get from taobao or secondhand is extremely disappointing, especially for the price. I do think glittertale is fairly priced but they need to get better at communication and sizing. If they aren’t able to custom size properly they need to switch to just standard sizes in a wide range

CW: Death mention- Today is the one year anniversary of my fathers passing. Without even thinking, I picked out this coordinate to wear today not realizing it’s almost exactly the same coordinate I wore when I was told about his passing. I know it may seem trivial to some, but to me it means something. When I look in my closet, I see memories, not just clothes.

This coord is from March of 2023. Another back-log post haha. Some friends and I went to a Pokemon themed maid cafe/afternoon tea at a local-ish cafe that does little themed maid events with a local idol group. They had also done a really cool Sailor Moon one we went to around a year before this that I sadly don't have coord pics from! I decided on this kinda punky coord with my heart shaped putumayo eyepatch cus I didn't really have anything on theme so I just went for something I liked!

Should I be adding coord rundows to these?

In January 2024 we had our annual Secret Santa meetup.

I made my recipient some handmade tea tins. The tin isn't handmade, but I agonized over those cricut designs. I was weeding for like 15 hours. And to make the design? I made the holy lantern tin by photographing and vectorizing my own Holy Lantern OP. And the Kumyas were vectorized from a photograph of a BtSSB box I got in the mail. That project took well over 48 working hours from start to finish.

I recieved a handmade, hand-drawn resin necklace of a Rosy Maple Moth from my Santa. Its so cute and bright, but the resin was tacky for a while so I was afraid to wear it until it cured more.

Ofc the meetup was a massive christmas dinner as well!
