‘ DID YOU THINK I WOULDN’T FIND OUT? ’    rubin tried to hide the excitement in his voice as he crept into the room,    heels pressed into the carpet with excitement as  he almost bit through his lip trying to keep a straight face.   glitter was a good friend --- neigh,  a great friend.  rubin took a real interest in her personal life.    almost as if it was a romantic tv show.  so of course,   when he heard the rumours,    he exploded.
finally,   he let his smile shine,     ‘ tell me,    were wiresses lips soft?  did they taste of like... i don’t know,   what kind of food do they have in three? ’   his brain wandered off on a tangent as it often did.    he shook himself out of it,     ‘ whatever.   just give me all the JUICY deets.’

It had been Emerald’s intent to hide for the rest of the games but she knew it wasn’t possible. Well, she figured she mine as well get it over with and at least she would get to sleep in her own bed instead of on a couch or a comfy spot of floor somewhere. She felt extremely exhausted and it had only been the first day of the Games.
Emerald had figured this time of night everyone would be sleeping, but she was surprised to find her mother still up. “Oh, hey...” She said softly forcing a small smile for Glitter’s sake. “A late night for you too?”

Soleil Maguire was two glasses of champagne into the night, and as a notorious lightweight was feeling a pleasant airiness in her head. It was that perfect spot between sober and drunk where she still had her bearings and a certain amount of her wits about her, but the absolute horror of the surrounding circumstances all seemed to fade away. Sure, she hated the Capitol, but at least she could step outside every day and see sunlight and breathe fresh air. Their plant shops held all kinds of bizarre, genetically-modified, beautiful plants and flowers and fruit trees, and she could get lost in the shops if she was allowed to.
She’d danced around the room a little bit, with several Capitol men taking her hand and whispering sweet nothings to her. They were harmless in public, after all, and if she giggled and handed them another glass of strong dark alcohol they’d be too drunk in an hour to remember to call her up to their rooms.
Soleil settled into a seat close to another victor she recognized and accepted the offer of a third champagne from a nearby Avox. She didn’t drink from it, instead choosing to set it down on the tablecloth and trace her fingers over the stem of the glass.
“How are you doing?” Soleil turned her face to Glitter. “Avoiding the crowds or just... taking a needed break?”

With the burns on her shins, Sierra had trouble getting out of bed and moving. She wasn’t as bad off as some of the other Victors or even the other Capitolites that took up many of the beds in the hospital, but it still hurt. But, her nurse had encouraged her to move a little bit. With her arm in the cast and sling, her wrapped up hands and shins, and a concussion, Sierra shuffled out of the room she had called home for almost three days.
Cam had taken June away for a little bit, even though her daughter insisted on returning later. Sierra was almost certain June would come to stay the night with her. She was so grateful for her little one.
Sierra headed to the bank of windows just down the hall. It looked over the Capitol and she was morbidly curious if she could see what the market looked like. She settled into one of the armchairs, feeling like she had accomplished the movement that her nurse wanted from her. Sierra sat in silence for a few minutes before a familiar figure entered her periphery.
“Glitter?” Sierra questioned, doing her best not to cringe as she moved her head. “It’s good to see you okay.” // @glitterrosseau

Things back in District One had been well, normal. That was the only way Cashmere could put it. Things were as they should be, so why did she feel restless? She had spent the last few months working at the Academy and doing various fundraisers for the Capitol. Part of her had thrown around making a District One cookbook, so that was her latest project. People would buy it just because she was Cashmere LePointe.
“If I said I was going to cut my hair, what would you say?” Short hair seemed to be going in style, but Cashmere wasn’t sure. Their stylist wanted it but she didn’t. “Okay, truthfully... Second truth is that reporter keeps asking questions and I don’t want to talk to them, so now I’m talking to you. Even if I just seen you like yesterday,” Cashmere joked with a laugh. Everyone wanted to know about this Quell and Cashmere didn’t want to even think about it.

"Hey there Sparkles,” Cambric said with a laugh as he dropped into the open seat next to Glitter. The kids were just getting starting with their training, so there wasn’t much for them to do, yet. You know why they got the ominous speech about how only one of them would make it out a live. “You know, I think these training sessions are just for us not them. I can’t say I ever learned anything that was useful in my games.” The Cave arena hadn’t been too friendly on most fronts.
“So... What do you think of District Two?” Cambric knew as someone from One, she had her opinion. Careers always stuck together or at least scoped out the competition. “Are they an item? They aren’t acting like it, but...” There were glances here and there and well, Cambric knew a thing or two about going in with someone you care about. He had only known the girl from One a week, but it had been enough to tear at his heart strings. “This is the season for couples, from what I am hearing.”

The inside scoop on #Glittress with Tiffany Tequila
WHEN District One legacy Glitter Rosseau started dating long-time bestie Wiress Neville, absolutely no-one was shocked! I was #blessed to interview these two Victor babes, as well as get some A+ parenting tips from Panem’s hottest duo of mommas!
Glitter came onto the scene with two kids: Emerald (12), or “Emmy” as she’s affectionately known, and Sterling (3). When asked how they reacted to the news that their mommy was dating “Auntie Wiress”, the couple explained that it wasn’t too much of a change. Wiress has always been a part of the children’s lives, she’ll just be playing a slightly more “official” role now that she’s their step-mom.
In terms of making their relationship work cross-district, Wiress tells me she video-calls most days during the off-season. (cont.)

Seeing Lincoln again, so soon after the garden party, made Nolie feel the same pit in her stomach she’d felt last summer. Romantic feelings probably weren’t supposed to be accompanied by a sense of dread, but Nolie hadn’t felt something this real ever before. She hadn’t stopped thinking about the way it felt to dance with him in the empty training centre, the tension that was building between them.
Talking to Margot about it felt odd, and all Margot had offered her was to give it a shot. But it wasn’t that easy for Nolie. Margot was the perfect older sister, beautiful, smart. She would never get rejected. But what if Lincoln didn’t feel the same way?
It occurred to Nolie to talk to Glitter, who had just gotten into a relationship herself last year, and who had become almost a second mother to her. Nolie spotted her on her way back in from taking Charlie outside, and approached her as she crossed the lobby. “Hey, Glitter!” she exclaimed, keeping up a casual, bubbly appearance for the Capitolites in the Tower lobby. “Your tributes look great this year!” // @glitterrosseau

It shouldn’t have surprised her.  The Gamemakers were fond of making the innocent into something dangerous, yet it caught her off guard.  The sounds coming from the screens sent a shiver up her spine.  A lion roared and the color left Glitter’s face.  The glass she’d been holding fell to the carpet but it barely registered.
Blood rushed in her ears while she saw the lions alive and beginning to roam the arena.  Her chest heaved and she felt sick.  The scar on her side from a lion’s claws practically burned beneath her clothes and she scrambled to get up from the couch.
Glitter pushed her way out of the room and ran up the stairs, pushing past sponsors who tried to stop her.  “Glitter isn’t it wonderful?” she heard a sponsor ask, but Glitter couldn’t register.  Not when she felt sick.  Not when her heart felt like it would burst from her chest.
A dozen flight of stairs later, she was on the roof, sitting against the wall as she took a deep breath.  Glitter fidgeted with the necklace she was wearing and she held her knees to her chest.  Just breathe, she reminded herself.  Breathe.  They can’t get you.
Tears blurred her vision and Glitter threatened to break.  It wasn’t often she allowed herself this.  Those walls were strong, yet she couldn’t handle this.  Not facing the very thing that nearly killed her once.  But she was jolted from those thoughts upon hearing the door.  Glitter glanced in that direction wiped at her eyes.  “If you’re looking for privacy, too late,” she admitted. // @thqstarter

‘ PRIVACY,   IN THIS PLACE?  ’   he scoffed in response,    his words coming out a little harsher than intended as he clocked a few cameras in the corner of the rooftop and  chuckled   ‘  please,  they’d put cameras up our asses if they weren’t so afraid to get their hands dirty.’   he was being crass,   of course he was,    that was abbas’ natural state. though as he laid eyes on glitter he began to suspect that this was neither the time nor the place.   his instinct told him to walk away.   unfortunately, his instinct went ignored as he stepped further out onto the roof.
he wasn’t sure if he should ask if she was okay;  it was too obvious a question,   curled up by the edge of the roof like that,   that’s how all the happy-go-lucky-fucks acted.   though he couldn’t see what the woman had to be so sad about.   he hadn’t been paying enough attention to the other tributes to know whether the pair from one were dead yet.   it was unusual for the careers to go so early so it was probably safe to assume they were still alive and kicking.  given that  ( and his lack of sensitivity )  he couldn’t quite fathom a reason for the other victor to be so miserable,   so he thought he better ask.
‘ what’s up with you?  broke a nail or something equally as insignificant. ’   truthfully, he didn’t intend for his words to be so full of venom but as he looked upon the victor,  who two years prior had been so fortunate to have her daughter survive the games,   he couldn’t help but remember his own nephew who hadn’t been so lucky.  the bitterness rising in him,  he scoffed once again  ‘ can’t see what else you’ve got to be sad about. ’

This was unexpected, to say the least. Wiress knew that the odds of winning a victory two years in a row were incredibly slim, and she had tried not to get too attached to Ember or Demelza because of it. Even so, seeing them both survive the bloodbath felt like dropping a weight she hadn’t even noticed she’d been bearing.
Unfortunately, District One hadn’t been so lucky.
She found her girlfriend in a viewing room, offering her a small smile as she went to sit beside her.
“So Ashanti did well,” she blurted out.

It still felt strange when her tributes outlived District One’s. Still. The first year after her victory, One had won; and in the years that followed, the overwhelming majority saw their tributes last longer than Three’s.
Wiress wasn’t entirely sure what had changed, but the last few years had been good to her district- at the expense of her girlfriend’s, it seemed. And while Glitter might not cry for every tribute she lost, Wiress knew it couldn’t be easy for her.
She adjusted the table-cloth she’d spread out on the rooftop and flicked on the fairy-lights she’d threaded through the railing. A date night wouldn’t fix anything, but maybe it would make a good distraction.
‘Meet me on the rooftop x’ she texted, smiling to herself as she pressed send.

They were dead. They were both dead.
Cashmere punched the dummy and watched it rebound a bit before landing a sharp kick to it. She hadn’t even noticed Glitter walk up. It was far easier to take her frustrations out on an object than to be mad at two dead kids. They had done exactly what she had advised them not to do.
Now they were dead.
Dead.
Out of frustration, Cashmere punched the dummy again. One now had a pair of dead twin victors. It was the fate many had imagined Gloss and her would meet. Even after her brother had won, many had thought she would perish in the games. Siblings didn’t win the Hunger Games. Well forget them. The LePointe family had crowned not one, but two Victors.

Where had the time went? It was already time for the launch. It had come up so quickly, it hardly felt real to Cashmere. Their tributes however looked more solid than they had for the past few years and it was a good feeling. Ashanti had even scored the highest of the tributes, so there was that too. District One was looking like the one to bet this year.
“I think we’re in a good position, don’t you?” She asked Glitter as she took the empty seat beside her. Surely Opal and Gloss wouldn’t mind them having a little discussion about their options. Later they could all have a team meeting on how to approach the sponsors and the games. “I hope this is District One’s year.”

Cambric wasn’t surprise to find the District One victor on the roof top, because it was a favorite spot for mentors and tributes alike. It was the only place with a little bit of fresh air and quiet. Even up there he could however hear the quite din of the parties and excitement on the streets.
“Hey Sparkle,” he said as he dropped into the vacant spot next to Glitter. “If you say please I’ll share my cookies,” he told her with a laugh as he passed over the small pile of cookies he had brought up with him. “I mean I guess I can share.”
“Hanging in there?” He asked after a moment of silence. The games were hard on all of them and he didn’t think the Victors from the Career districts were any different. They just didn’t show it as much.
