rewatching nana to find asami clips for a friend and this one moment in ep 45 is just tugging at my nnhc heart strings- when nana is getting anxious going on her first live show, she uses the image of hachi; watching over her through the old, vintage TV screen her roommate had in apartment 707 (that currently, as hachi has moved out, no longer exists there) (</3) as something to focus in on and calm her down... and it does! immediately, it cools nana and gives her a basis of something to show up for, to fight for - you could say! (i mean, she even does explicitly say she was going to "fight for hachi back" (paraphrased) when she realized she could weaponize black stone's new found popularity to pull hachi back somehow, or at least, keep hachi watching). and then as the last cherry on top, nana smiles to the camera when the show starts, probably thinking about hachi looking at her, right while hachi is in fact looking at her and tuning in right now in her house in shirogane - where hachi immediately picks up on nana's expression and thinks nana is looking at her, so softly. ggoodddd.... nanaaahachiiii....
