When this spider eats, “glitter” comes out.✨Meet the black-spotted thwaitesia (Thwaitesia nigronodosa)! It sequesters a silvery chemical compound, called guanine, during digestion. Found in parts of southern Australia, this shimmering arachnid is a member of the genus thwaitesia; members of this genus are also known as sequined spiders or mirror spiders, thanks to their sparkly appearance! Scientists think these colorful displays are actually a form of camouflage.

Bigfin Reef Squid: Also commonly referred to as the tiger squid, glitter squid or oval squid. Bigfin reef squids are characterised by a large oval fin that extends throughout the margins of its mantle, giving them a superficial similarity to cuttlefish. The larvae resemble miniature adults and are remarkable for already having the capability to change body colouration upon hatching. Bigfin reef squids have the fastest recorded growth rates of any large marine invertebrate, reaching 1.3 lb in only 4 months.

I might have a song recommendation that might fit Licorice. When I listen to & read the lyrics of Brandy's song "Come a Little Closer" (one of my favorite songs of hers), it makes me think of Sweetheart & Bitterbat as teens right before they had to say goodbye & how sad they were (that one pic you drew of them a while back also comes to mind). What do you think?

I see Brandy mention, my faith in the song being accurate to some OCs I got increases ten fold.

THAT BEING SAID - Yeah it def fits.

Brandy is one of my fave artists when it comes to me handing music to my OCs because there's those little 90s and 2000s RnB sounds in her songs that really tickles my brain the right way.

They especially fit for Glitter and Guilt since I typically imagine the sound track for that story, as well as Sweetheart and Bitterbat's relationship, being really early 2000s songs.

i consider traditional art to be much harder than digital (not to mention more expensive) but onw thing im jealous of is the possibility of effortlessly creating texture

#and yes obviously to create unique textures you also need skill etc etc #what i mean is that you get the texture of paint or markers or crayon or pencils by simply using the medium #in fact you need to put more effort into NOT having these textures #plus the texture of paper or canvas or whatever other surface you have #and generally traidional just gives you more freedom #put glitter or stickers on your shit #draw on a stone near a beautiful lake #etc
