Warbler Connections Roleplay

Welcome to the world of Warbler’s. This roleplay is based on The Warblers from Glee, You can enter Dalton Academy a prestigious boarding school for Boys, but maybe the tradition will come undone and accept girls. This is a roleplay based on a boarding school and what the students will encounter day to day life living in a boarding school, with Dorms and meal times.

A NECESSARY INTRODUCTION

This is Roderick Meeks. He is 19 years old, currently a Sophomore at McKinley and his concentration is UTP. His sexuality is UTP, and it is said he looks like Noah Guthrie. Lucky for you he is open.

WHO WILL I BE? ITS UP TO ME

Roderick Meeks moved from the Windy City to Lima, Ohio last year due to his father’s job. After one look at the small town, he was quick to write it off and focus on the only thing that really means something to him, music.

McKinley was kind of like a saving grace. While bullies inhabit every school known to man, even a ‘progressive’ art school like McKinley, he knows his music classes and the glee club will help make this place a little more bearable.

The years of bullying have taken a tole on Roderick, and have caused him to fear judgement. This fear has become so prominent within him, that he’d rather just not try something, or give up, before risking looking like a fool in front of others.

THE LITTLE BLACK BOOK

Sugar Motta (+/-): Roderick met Sugar this past summer after getting a job at Motta’s Pianos. She paid no attention to him at first, and the snobby rich girl attitude caused him to constantly roll his eyes. Since then they’ve talked a bit, and while they don’t share many interests, or have the same view on life, they’ve learned to respect the other.

Mason McCarthy (+): While Madison and Mason McCarthy are all kinds of weird, Mason was incredibly welcoming to Roderick. Mason were blown away by his voice, and knew with his shy personality he wasn’t going to threaten his chances in the spotlight. A friendship has formed between the two, and while it might have been due to Mason’s competitive nature at first, it has grown into a sincere relationship.

Noah Puckerman (+/-): Noah Puckerman was Roderick’s main tormentor his Freshman year at McKinley, prior to it becoming an art’s school. He was large and wasn’t on a sports team and liked music, so of course Puck made fun of him. But since McKinley changed, the pressure on Puck to be popular has disappeared, and he has vowed to change, starting with how he treats Roderick. Roderick isn’t sure if Puck really does respect his voice, or if this is another prank, so he’s wary around the Senior.

Spencer Porter (-): Spencer isn’t a quitter, and with a father who has always pushed him to be the best, it irritates him when other’s don’t push themselves. Roderick Meeks, while talented, has a tendency to give up when the going get’s hard. When that happens, Spencer is right there next to him telling him how much of a fat, failure he is.

in 1950, hartford was built as the fine institution you see before you today. before opening the school to all students; it was only for the rich. the richest and most powerful families from all of the states would send their sons here. after various years, the school opened itself up to all social classes. kids could now get a scholarship in order attend hartford. they offer scholarships that range from half-ride to full-ride for students who have the GPA to apply for them.

it took years for hartford to open up to all genders. It is now 2017, and the bill has just passed for girls and non-binary students to apply to hartford. some boys are excited, some don’t know how to feel, and some absolutely hate it. they believe that this school should be kept the way it is. rumor has it the girls are excited, but they don’t know what goes on inside of the academy.

it’s full of hierarchy, cliques, and drama–typical elite life, honestly. there are students whose parents are legacies, and hold the power. they practically run the social life here at hartford; they can make you or break you. then their are the students that absolutely hate the elite, and wish to bring them down. there are also students who don’t believe they belong at hartford, students who just want to make through these four years under the radar, and students who want to run hartford. let’s not forget that these students have connections and love their illegal substances. there are parties, fighting, anything you’d expect from this school. but the administration does a good job at covering it up.

it’s going to be a great and eventful year at hartford. we’d love for you to join us
