I'm currently working on a genderswap Quinn fic which I plan on having Faberry be endgame for, and I kinda want someone I can talk about it with.

If anyone is interested let me know. I'm not looking for someone to help with editing or anything, but I am more than willing to share what I write for it before I post it anywhere. I guess I'm looking for someone I can share my ideas and brainstorm with. Having a another perspective on what I'm writing is always helpful.

I'll also pre-emptively warn anyone who might be interested that it's a slowburn, Quinn centric and heavily includes Quinntana as well as a small amount of Finchel on the side. I am SO glad the sapphic one has you in a chokehold... I will say that yes Jennifer's Body was 2009 so that doesn't fit, and Glee is... not supernatural/Halloween themed in any way? Uhhhh unless I seriously missed something? So that's not it either.

I will also say that while it is based on a sapphic story I'm not genderswapping, which wasn't even something I thought I might have to warn people about until this very second and now I'm paranoid. Although there is some fun, uh... well. Buck's interesting. I'll put it that way.

I know you must be fed up with these type of questions but this really confuses me.Why did Finn get away with everything but not Rachel? They was both creators favs right? Yet Rachel always got called out and humiliated ( despite getting her way) yet finn didn’t do you think it was because he was a guy? We all know the writers was sexist

Bold of you to assume I'll ever get tired of calling out the writers' sexism and particularly their treatment of golden boy Finn 😌

Here's the thing: the fans so often treat Finn and Rachel as if the narrative had them on the same level. It didn't. Rachel was the main character if we had to say and the original three pillars of Glee were Will, Finn and Rachel but there's markedly a difference between how Finchel's characters were treated. The fans see Rachel get all the solos and overall, despite some bumps in the road, get everything she ever wanted, and think that equals Finn's infuriating never called out, never dealing with consequences treatment. I personally think they're very different in this way.

Was Rachel also treated in a special way, sure. But Finn is on this pedestal both in and out of universe, the popular kid who graces these losers with his light. I’m only slightly exaggerating in that. And yet Rachel, the main representative of our underdogs, is the one the show thinks needs humbling. I mean, she kinda does, but Finn is never treated like the other popular kids are. They’re all ~problematic~, bullies and shallow and etc. And make no mistake, Quinn does not get the Finn treatment and nor does Santana or Puck or really anyone else. Puck being the key ch here as another guy, who is treated overall better by the narrative imo but Finn’s pedestal seems like a special one here.

What I’m getting at is that, imo, it was only a sexism thing as much as it was a character type thing. Were they genderswapped and the main leads were a loser guy and a popular girl, idk how different it would have been. And that’s not me dismissing the very real fact that Finn got away with murder because he was a guy as that aspect of his character is part of why he was the golden boy to begin with. Again, look at how the Cheerios were constantly villainized for similar things. But maybe sexism doesn’t explain all of it? And tbh I feel like comparing Rachel to Finn doesn’t really tell us just how much he was favoure dby the writers. Because Rachel was as well but in more obvious and, dare I say, understandable aspects. She gets the most songs because Lea Michele gets the most songs. But Rachel also had so many more learning moments. And lest we forget, the show explicitly states many times that Finn is an oh so much better person than she is. All that despite the receipts of Finn’s actions.

Wow, this is getting away from me. So I’ll just add this: on a character and in-universe level, it strikes me how differently they reacted to accountability. And look, do I have a Rachel bias here? Of course, I love her and famously dislike Finn more every day. But when Rachel messes up the narrative treats it as such and she's told she sucks. She acknowledges her flaws, apologizes most of the time and shows such humanity. Rachel is very flawed and her flaws are such that she often treats others less than ideally, but she has these come back to earth moments. And Finn never really has that accountability, to the detriment of his character.

So, TL;DR: is it because he was a guy? Not just that. There’s a mountain of difference between Rachel’s and the other girls’ treatment, too. But his status as the popular guy, the “nice” guy does play a role. At the end of the day it’s just that the writers envisioned Rachel as a flawed character who needed humbling and Finn as someone who just needed a space to show how great he was, imo. In that sense, Rachel wasn’t as much of a favourite but it worked out better for her anyway.

Faith não se considerava uma pessoa boa para preparar cenários e surpresas como Ray. O que ela sabia fazer de melhor era se entregar de todo o coração para o garoto judeu que a conquistou mesmo com todas as diferenças entre eles. Ainda assim, ela tentou ao menos pensar em uma maneira significativa de fazer o que estava pensando há semanas. Mandou uma mensagem no celular de Ray pedindo para que ele a encontrasse no auditório da Northwood no horário do almoço e revisou seu discurso ao menos cinco vezes. Ela não queria passar a impressão errada ou assustar o garoto.

Faith chegou no auditório com cinco minutos de antecedência e achou que seria melhor se deixasse os cabelos soltos e não no rabo de cavalo de sempre. Passou a andar de um lado para o outro até ouvir passos se aproximando e a voz de Ray.

- Faith? - Ray chamou pela garota com uma ligeira preocupação e curiosidade na voz. Há poucas semanas tinha chegado aos ouvidos deles algumas histórias que logo se provaram fatos sobre a mãe de Harding. Tais histórias eram preocupantes e deixaram a menina completamente abalada e perdida, então é claro que Ray estava preocupado e tentando ajudá-la da maneira que melhor conseguia.

- Hey! Preciso falar com você. - Ela falou em um tom nervoso e agitado ao cumprimentá-lo com um breve selinho e apontar o banquinho que estava posicionado ali no centro do palco. - Na verdade, preciso falar sobre você… Sobre nós. - Faith finalizou e esfregou as mãos na calça jeans, sentindo que a palma da mão estava suada por conta do nervosismo. - Eu queria preparar algo melhor como aquele nosso primeiro encontro que você preparou aqui. Só que não consegui encontrar tudo o que precisava. - A garota disse ficando sem graça e abaixando o olhar.

- Foi aqui que demos o nosso primeiro beijo. - Ray se pronunciou com um sorriso gentil no rosto. Ele sabia do tamanho do amor que sentia por Faith desde a primeira vez que botou os olhos nela, mesmo que naquela época ele fosse invisível aos olhos da garota por ser só mais um loser sem importância. Bom, ele ainda era um loser, mas agora tinha uma família e amigos, mesmo que entre brigas e pessoas que não o compreendiam. - E depois você saiu correndo tão rápido! Nunca entendi o motivo. - Ele disse com curiosidade ao levantar brevemente a sobrancelha direita.

- Eu… Fiquei nervosa. - Faith respondeu rapidamente tentando não corar ao lembrar da cena. Na época ela ainda namorava com Qhuinn Farrell e ele deixava a garota passando muitas vontades nas sessões de amassos na casa dele. E quando beijou Ray pela primeira vez ela mal soube como reagir, então achou mais sensato pedir desculpas e sair correndo.

- Mas eu nunca poderia te deixar nervosa. - Ele comentou com sorriso na voz. Era Faith que o deixava nervoso e o fazia perder o ar.

- Isso não é exatamente verdade. Estou um pouco nervosa agora mesmo. - Faith se moveu com certo desconforto. - Enfim, eu preciso lhe dizer uma coisa e preciso que fique em silêncio. Sei que isso é difícil para você, mas prometa que ficará em silêncio até que eu termine. - Ela pegou as duas mãos do namorado e olhou em seus olhos da maneira mais gentil que o nervosismo lhe permitia.

Assim que Ray balançou a cabeça para aceitar os termos, a garota soltou um suspiro pesado e soltou as mãos dele enquanto procurava as palavras certas para dizer aquilo que precisava. Ela havia treinado o discurso, mas agora as palavras tinham fugido de sua mente e Faith precisava manter o foco.

- Por toda a minha vida eu me perguntei se conseguiria ser uma grande mulher como a minha mãe mesmo sem ter a conhecido. Agora eu me preocupo em acabar me tornando como ela. - Faith comentou sem conseguir esconder o tom decepcionado e triste em sua voz, mas não poderia deixar aquela preocupação estragar sua missão. Mesmo com a expressão preocupada de Ray não iria tirar seu foco. Ele havia prometido permanecer em silêncio. - E para ser honesta, eu não sou o modelo de pessoas mais inteligente do mundo. Minha glória se resume apenas ao high school. - Faith soltou uma risada sem humor e Ray sentiu um aperto no coração e uma súbita vontade de soltar um dos seus discursos para fazer a amada sentir-se melhor, mas permaneceu no silêncio desconfortável. - Mas você apareceu. Você apareceu como uma luz na minha vida e têm me guiado desde então. - Ambos trocaram sorrisos apaixonados antes que Faith continuasse. - Ray, você é uma grande estrela e eu nunca tive dúvidas disso. Ainda assim, você permitiu que eu te amasse com cada osso em meu corpo mesmo sabendo que bem… Eu não sou grande coisa. - Ela continuou com sinceridade ao desviar o olhar para o chão enquanto reunia coragem antes de buscar o olhar curioso de Ray mais uma vez. - Se você me permitir continuar te amando até mesmo quando for a maior estrela da Broadway ou do mundo, sei que vou acordar todas as manhãs e sentir que tudo vai ficar bem. - Faith disse com plena convicção ao sentir seu coração acelerando.

Ray abriu aquele sorriso gigante que a garota tanto gostava de ver e tentou entender o motivo daquela declaração repentina. Sabia que Faith não era muito ligada aos pequenos detalhes, mas ela havia preparado uma bela surpresa e aquilo era bem fora do comum. Ainda assim, se obrigou a continuar em silêncio mesmo que tivesse milhares de perguntas para fazer.

Faith então levou a mão até o bolso traseiro de sua calça jeans, puxando uma pequena caixinha de veludo vermelha que transformou o sorriso de Ray em uma expressão assustada. Ele fez menção de abrir a boca para falar, mas foi interrompido pela continuidade do discurso da namorada. -  Eu precisei trabalhar muito para conseguir fazer o meu primeiro cartão de crédito e te comprar isso. Sei que não chega nem aos pés do pedido de casamento da Srta. Schuester, mas é de coração. É uma promessa. - Faith disse com o olhar voltado para a caixinha e uma risada muito nervosa. Ela podia sentir o suor de nervoso mais uma vez e uma vontade de sair correndo, mas se obrigou a ficar ali e se ajoelhar de maneira atrapalhada antes de buscar o olhar de Ray. O garoto estava com uma cara de quem tinha visto uma assombração, mas Faith não deixou que isso tirasse seus 20 segundos de coragem insana. - Eu prometo continuar te amando pelo resto da minha vida. Até quando formos velhinhos e cheios de rugas. Você só precisa aceitar. - Ela tentou fazer uma piada, mas que não deu muito certo. Ainda assim, estava comprometida com aquelas palavras. Faith sabia, do fundo da alma, que queria fazer Ray feliz e ser feliz ao lado dele. Não importava o julgamento das outras pessoas e se aquilo já tivesse ferido sua reputação milhares de vezes. Quando você começa o seu dia na escola com a sua melhor amiga vomitando no banheiro e depois jogando a bomba de uma gravidez em seu colo, é mais do que óbvio que isso serve como motivo para perder o pouco da concentração que eu tenho nas aulas. Naomi tinha apenas 18 anos e acabou engravidando antes mesmo de terminar o ensino médio. Como seria a vida dela? E quando a notícia se espalhasse pela escola? Era tão injusto ela ter que passar por aquilo sozinha e deixar o babaca que a engravidou fora dessa cilada. Ela precisava da melhor amiga ao lado dela e eu não iria decepcioná-la. Naomi não me confirmou que o pai era Santiago, mas deixou isso bem claro quando me perguntou sobre ele enquanto ainda estávamos no banheiro. Já que ela não tinha a coragem de abordar aquele abutre irresponsável, então eu iria tomar a frente da situação e defender minha amiga. Fugi da minha aula de História que estava me deixando com sono de tanto ouvir falar sobre qualquer assunto que não me interessava e decidi acompanhar o treino de football dos garotos. Iria abordar Santiago assim que o coach liberasse o time. Não poderia esperar mais nem um segundo. Minha amiga logo precisaria de consultas médicas e quaisquer cuidados exigidos durante uma gestação, então não estava disposta a enrolar. Assim que o treino acabou, vi que Santiago começou a caminhar para fora do campo junto com Quentin e Brett, o que não facilitava minha vida. Puckerman não queria que ninguém soubesse da situação, então eu tinha que esperar o rapaz ficar sozinho. E foi o que fiz. Saí em passos rápidos do campo e dentro do que minha altura permitia, aguardei pacientemente do lado de fora do vestiário masculino até que todos saíssem dali, me camuflando entre os alunos que passavam por ali. Quando Quentin passou com Brett, me afastei um pouco para não ser notada e assim evitar perguntas. Eu definitivamente sabia me disfarçar melhor do que o Superman e a Supergirl. Talvez eu devesse ser protagonista da minha própria histórias em quadrinhos, um pensamento que guardei na memória para avaliar outra hora. Tinha uma missão para realizar e precisava agir antes de Santiago sair dali. Entrei no vestiário em passos pesados e com meus cabelos balançando no rabo de cavalo. Aquele lugar não tinha um cheiro muito agradável e eu queria terminar logo a minha missão.
