For fun and kind of a writing exercise, I made sort of, like, profiles with short bios for the vast majority of my characters. It's mostly for my own reference, but I won't stop anyone who wants to look through them.

The woman suddenly passed away, leaving Plumeria to fend for herself for 1-2 years. Did not trust Guzma when they first met him but stuck with him since he protected her. Evidently grew to love him platonically.

Leon

• Blessed with natural charisma and showmanship, he adapted relatively well as the face of the Galar league from a young age. However, he does not have a talent for code switching and had to undergo rigorous coaching to be able to speak without his heavy southern galar dialect. His mother underwent terrible PTSD after his father's passing, forcing him to step up as the main caretaker of his younger brother. Despite this, he holds no resentment for either of them. He is still processing his loss to eternatus and loss of his champion title.

• Trivia: I would legit just scroll through Scottish Twitter back when I was still figuring out how I wanted to do his eye dialect.

Moon

• She and her mom moved to Alola after her parents' divorce. Her father, a Kanto gym leader, relinquished custody of her and paid her mom out a hefty sum, allowing them to afford to move regions. She was borderline mute when she first moved since English was not her first language. Over the years, she has gained confidence and "won't shut the fuck up now," as far as Guzma's concerned. She's well liked by the people of the region for all she's done and for the liking Tapu Koko had taken to her, despite her origins.

• Trivia: my original concept for her was to be older (16 or 17) but I ended up going younger as I preferred that dynamic between her and Guzma

Hop

• Age: 13

• He grew up admiring his older brother and studying/analyzing battling techniques, although said techniques don't come to him as naturally as they do Leon. He's not entirely aware just how much Leon played a role in raising him as a young child. Despite his admiration, there are times he feels he's walking in Leon's shadow and will never catch up to him. He's gained much more confidence after defeating eternatus, but now struggles watching his brother undergo the consequences of his defeat. He tries to be there for his brother in any way he can.

• My original concept for Hop was for him to be just a plain straight boy who has a crush on Gloria (who is a lesbian). Sometimes when I write, the characters get away from me and do what they want. In Hop's case, he really wanted to make out with Hau.

Blue

• The child of second gen johto immigrants. He was disowned by his mother when she found out he was trans. His twin brother, in solidarity, also left home despite his mother's protests. He is considered the more quiet and reserved of the two twins. Guzma secretly worries that the two are too codependent, unconsciously seeing a lot of his past relationship with Kukui reflected in the two of them.

• Trivia: The twins names (and thus, hair colors) were actually switched at first, but I thought that'd be too on the nose.

Pink

• Age: 14

• Alt names: Akkala (Plumeria), Kintaro (family)

• Class: Team Skull Grunt

• Occupation: Student, Surf Board Craftsman Apprentice

• Hobbies: Rugby, playing pranks, drawing

• He's the more outgoing and obnoxious of the two brothers, although it is mostly an act to get people's attention away from his brother. After leaving home, they lived on the streets for a couple months and while attempting to pickpocket someone, they were caught- Nanu was the officer on the scene. He did not file a report and instead brought them to the "disbanded" Team Skull house where he convinced Guzma to let them in.

• Trivia: He seems to have more screen time than his brother than I intended, but I suppose it's more natural for me (as cis) to write about a person struggling with feeling powerless about the injustice happening to the people they care about most, than it would for me to be write about a trans person and their specific struggles.

• A licensed medical doctor who often treats underprivileged peoples for free. She's not known for her bedside manner and dresses "unprofessionally" according to many adults on the islands. She was an enormous influence on Guzma's personality and fashion sense. She was taken into custody for using illegal healing moves in her treatments and given an ultimatum- go to jail with no chance of parole or join the international police and use her bright mind to help them on their endevours. She chose the latter, hoping it would one day allow her to return to the islands to continue helping those less fortunate.

• Trivia: The reason her name is DJ is literally just because it stands for "Doctor Joy". My original concept was actually for her to be two people, a pair of sisters that ran a pokemon center, loosely based off me and my sibling.

Molayne

• Age: 27

• Alt names: Mo (friends), Big Mo (Guzma)

• Class: Elite 4 member, Former trial captain

• Occupation: Observatory Director, Inventor

• Hobbies: working with robotics/electronics, playing video games, weight lifting, photography

• Sexual identity: Asexual/alloromatic

• A rather soft-spoken person, he's an incredibly brilliant inventer and astronomer. Raised mainly by his young aunt, he grew up very poor. He makes just a decent living, despite the fact he invented the tech that would lead to the mass production of rotom phones. This is because he made all of his work open source because he does not believe knowledge should be locked behind a pay wall. He has somehow maintained a healthy relationship with both Guzma and Kukui after all these years. He also happens to have an enormous crush on Plumeria.

• Trivia: My original idea for Molayne was to be pansexual and actually end up with Kalani by the time the story is done. However, I had one commenter pitch me this idea about Kalani meeting Raihan and well... yeah...

Jessamine

• Age: 23 (at time of appearance)

• Alt names: Jess, Auntie

• Class: Swimmer Girl

• Occupation: Tatto Artist (main), Lifeguard, Barista, Waitress

• She gained custody of Molayne at the age of 19, being his only living family after his parents died in a tragic accident. She worked multiple jobs to keep them afloat and build a small savings, as she wanted nothing more than to be able to send him to college, since she never had the privilege. She had a brief fling with a member of the Malie Kanto gym, resulting in her getting pregnant and giving birth to her son, Sophocles.

• Trivia: She's actually a really important character to me as she was inspired by an old friend's mom, partly because of her personality and partly because I seemed to keep in better contact with her than my actual friend, which was likely the same for Guzma. This person passed away while I was writing the chapter Jessamine is in... I remember her name popping up on my phone and her husband's voice being the one to speak when I answered... But it made me really think about how we go through life and meet all kinds of people that truly mean a lot to us, but we don't spend as much time with them as we should or dont keep in as well of contact as we should because life is fickle and things happen. But this doesn't mean they weren't, or aren't, important to us.

Kalani

• A year younger that Guzma and Kukui and the same age as Molayne. He's a fairy type specialist and was the trial captain for the late Fairy Type Totem Pokémon, a ribombee. Guzma resented him, believing he could've been a good Bug Type trial captain for Ribombee. Once actually getting to know the boy, they became casual friends. Lani lost contact with Guzma in their mid teens for several years. By the time they met again, Guzma was at a very low point in life. They entered a purely sexual relationship, despite the undenying fact Lani has been in love with him ever since the first day they met.

• Trivia: I knew I wanted to have a Surfer Class character somewhere in the story because I was in love with the character model from the first time I saw it! Initially, he was more of a toxic exboyfriend type and Guzma's old drug dealing partner. Then, I stopped and realized the whole reason I wanted to make this character is because of how much I adore the Surfer class... so I changed the whole concept

Nanu

• Age: 55-60

• Alt names: 000 (pronounced double-O-Zero; interpol)

• Class: Police officer, Kahuna

• Occupation: Island Kahuna, Police Officer, Former Interpol Agent

• Hobbies: caring for his many meowths, sleeping, people watching

• He left the region and joined interpol to escape the pressure of being chosen as next kahuna by Tapu Bulu. He only returned after losing one of his interpol partners, someone he considers the only person he's "ever gotten close to falling in love with."

Kukui

• Age: 28

• Alt names: The Masked Royal, K.K. (Guzma and Molayne)

• Class: Pokémon professor, Alolan Champion

• Most know him as extremely bright and cheerful, although he's been known to let off steam by taking hits from his pokemon and it's an ongoing joke among his friends that he's a bit of a masochist. In reality, he does have a bit of a temper and often goes to Kahuna Hala to rant about one thing or another. He has always had a difficult time tolerating certain textures and would prefer not to wear a shirt if at all possible because of it. His degrees are mainly in cultural anthropology where he focused on studying traditional indigenous medicine, specifically MBM (move based medicine). His parents only minimally helped financially support his education as they were upset he didn't go into one of their fields (physics or chemistry).

• Trivia: Kukui's dad is based off my own dad and the emotional trauma and manipulation I endured growing up

"The Berry Man"

• A jolly, older Alolan man, his name is never actually specified. He taught Guzma how to use berries medicinally when he was a child. He knew Guzma was being abused and tried to file a police report on more than one occasion. He and Guzma's late grandfather grew up together and were extremely close.

• Trivia: I considered giving him a name, but he isn't given a name in the game and him just being "The Berry Man" has really grown on me

Kona

• Trivia: When I picture him, I think of one of the old men from our local Kiwanis group that my mom worked with a lot when I was itty bitty. I was a very shy, anxious child and was very afraid of him at first because he was well over six foot tall and very imposing. But he was an extremely kind, gentle man with a bright, white smile and beautiful black skin.

• His vain, borderline arrogant persona he puts on for the public is only a partial truth. To those close to him, he is rather reserved and a very respectful young man who'd rather have his nose in some historic tome than be lauded over by his thousands of screaming fangirls. He grew up in and out of foster homes, his only living family being his birth mother, who developed early onset dementia after undergoing controversial Hypno therapy to help with her drug addiction. She's more or less catatonic on most days and does not recognize Raihan as her son on good days. He tends to prefer things grouped in twos or pairs.

• Trivia: Raihan's attempt to resuscitate Leon after his battle with eternatus and the subsequent trauma it caused him is based off of my own mom's PTSD after failing to resuscitate her brother when he had a heart attack. Unlike Leon, my uncle was not so lucky, even after paramedics arrived.

Hau

• Trivia: There's a scene I have yet to write about him that's inspired by a scene in "The fresh prince of bel-aire" where Will breaks down about his father abandoning him. I remember watching it as a child and bawling my eyes out.

Hello, we are sorry for the lack of updates on this blog recently due to how busy we've been. In the midst of both me and Ms. Wicke trying to hire new and trusted employees, and a slight incident (thanks to the fact that SOMEONE forgot to check on the BUZZWOLE!!!! *cough* Jeremy *cough*) causing part of our facility to break that somehow also lead to a MISSING PERSON case believe it or not, we've been overworked to say the least.

In better news however, we've managed to get another Admin to help take the workload off of me and Ms. Wicke a bit! With that I'll let them introduce themselves!

Si hay algo que disfruto del SereGura es el concepto de que ambos son introvertidos, pero Serena, en lugar de evitar contacto, solo se queda en silencio y disfruta de estar entre el grupo sin ser el centro de atención, mientras que Gladion prefiere alejarse. Y luego está el hecho de que ambos pueden pararse delante de multitudes sin inmutarse, Serena por ser una idol y Gladion por ser un entrenador. The fact that a Pokemon request of all things took so damn long is baffling but whatever. Minimalistic post since I don't have banners for Pokemon and I don't feel like going through Tumblr gifs to find a decent one for everyone.

God this took way too long. Writer's block struck at the worst possible time.

Cynthia

-Cynthia's occupation as champion keeps her quite busy. Neither of you particularly enjoy this but that's just how the cookie crumbles as they say.

-Despite that, she's surprisingly good at separating work from her personal life. When the League's finding itself in a slow season and new trainers aren't running amok around Sinnoh she'll always manage to find time for you.

-She's extremely supportive of whatever you do and will be there all the way. Wanna be a trainer too? Congratulations, you have a world class mentor. Wanna be an archeologist, she will nerd out about ancient mythology with you all you want and join you on your excavations. Anything you wanna do, Pokemon-related or not, has her full support.

-Between her mythological studies on the side with her work and training as champion, there are moments she overworks herself. You'll need to play the role of caretaker and bring her back down to Earth.

-Of course despite this, it doesn't stop her from doing the same for you when necessary. Gently pushing you to go to sleep, preparing a fresh cup of your favorite warm drink, or knocking you out with a bat hugging you from behind to relax you.

-Her Pokemon quickly form an attachment to you, they see her family as theirs, too. Seeing her terrifying, nightmare inducing Garchomp acting like a big puppy will never get old.

-If you have a team of their own, they get quite protective, especially the unevolved, inexperienced ones. At least until you end up catching up to them, which they eventually will under their tutelage.

Lusamine

-Realistically, you really only get close enough to be in a relationship if you start as an employee at the Aether Foundation. Your hard-working attitude and sincere kindness towards the Pokemon they take care of quickly grabs her attention. Something about you just stood out even among the similar employees working under her.

-The relationship instantly is declared to be a secret, she still needs to keep a professional appearance at work. In private though is a different story.

-Once you do manage to win Lusamine's heart, she's extremely attached and clingy. Considering how her last relationship ended, she will not let you go. And you can bet that you're not touching anything involving Ultra Wormholes with a 40 foot pole.

-Very physically clingy all around despite what your first impressions of her might have been. It's a pleasant surprise when she finally drops the professional facade around you and craves gentle intimacy.

-It's only natural that Lillie and Gladion quickly become a big part of your life considering how big of a part they are in Lusamine's. Being there for them is a requirement in your relationship.

-It takes a while for them to warm up to you, but they do eventually. Lillie's much more open about it, happy to have a second parent in her life again. Gladion does try to keep up the edgy persona, but he does become fond of you, albeit shown very subtly.

-It's a very surprisingly domestic relationship after the whole Ultra Space incident. A very happy family picture with Lillie and Gladion around.

Diantha.

-Much like the last two ladies, very busy. Being a champion and a movie star means she's not exactly swimming in free time. Whenever you two do get to go out together, disguises are needed thanks to her fame.

-Dating Diantha means your fashion sense sees a noticeable improvement. Mostly to have effective disguises so you can go out in public without being hounded by paparazzi. It's actually quite pleasant when it works.

-You learn to spot her out in public regardless of what she's wearing as she beckons you over to a nice cafe or restaurant she wants to try with you. Kalos is known for it's exquisite fine dining, whatever gets her approval is bound to be the good stuff.

-The public is inevitably soon going to find out you're dating THE Diantha. You're gonna become a bit of a celebrity yourself whether you like it or not. If you're pursuing anything to do for a living, you're at the very least gonna get eyes on it, fortunately. You two immediately become Kalos' power couple.

-If you have a Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution, Diantha will be your number one fan and mentor in helping you achieve that power. She's about the best you could ask for in this regard, her ace is a Psychic type that she Mega Evolves, after all.

-Despite all the glamor and lights, she does crave something of a domestic life. She very much appreciates a more traditional partner there for the long run who wants the same thing. To her, buying a house and settling down is her ultimate goal, and showing you want the same makes you two pretty much set for life.

• Most importantly he warns you of the dangers of pokemon, and to never travel to certain places alone, he advises you on how some species are friendly, some are territorial and how some you should never approach unless your ready for a fight

• Doesn't introduce you to Null/Silvally for a little while as your still new to pokemon and he knows his partner can be a little intimidating, and he knows his partner can act protective of him around new people

• Uncerstands why you were worried about telling him, hailing from another world is no easy tell

• Ultimately he is more concerned about your saftey, and is worried himself if you are not the only new arrival to Alola that lacks in pokemon knowledge

Kukui _

• Probably the best person to have around during something like this

• He's a pokemon professor, so any questions you have of this mysterious new world, he's happy to answer them all

• Also the first one to give you your own Pokemon

• What better way to understand these mysterious creatures and explore this new world then to have your very own pokemon pal?

•This man is a walking encyclopedia

General Pokémon Villain HC’s PT. 2

((Part 2 of the Pokémon villain headcanon saga. Characters are in no particular order. Also, content warning for a few entries. Also, forgive me for some spelling and grammatical errors.))

Lusamine🪼

Although her actions are abusive and controlling, it all stems from grief. Of course, it’s not an excuse for how Lusamine treated her children. Lillie and Gladion haven’t done anything to deserve this kind of treatment. As deplorable as her actions are, Lusamine convinced herself that she’s trying to do the right thing in order to bring her husband back. However, it became twisted and vile, morphing into obsession rather than a valiant effort. Lusamine has no idea of what she’s doing as her desperation and obsessive behavior cloud her good character. Whatever respectability she has accrued over the years goes out the window as she tries (and fails) to succeed in her personal mission.

Truthfully, Lusamine resents Ultra Beasts (UB for short). They took her husband away and are the sole reason why her obsession took root. Her children ran away because of UB’s and she got possessed by Nihilego, the toxins of which are still somewhat present in her system that couln’t be removed.

Speaking of Nihilego’s toxins, the doctors in Kanto (and some from Alola) were able to remove most of the poison from Lusamine’s body. However, a few areas have latched onto her system strongly, making removal impossible and could cause complications. Such areas include her head and arms, inhibiting mobility and memory. There are moments where the poison does affect her vision, so Lusamine cannot see quite as well whenever it occurs. Fainting spells happen often that doctors recommended Lusamine to be confined in a wheelchair for a few months until they can figure out how to completely remove the poison entirely.

Currently attending therapy. Aside from the possession she endured by the hand of Nihilego, Lusamine attends therapy to work out her own mental and emotional health. Going to therapy was actually Lillie’s suggestion.

Deep down, like really deep down, Lusamine loves her children. She does. However, trying to rebuild that love and connection that she destroyed by her own hand will take a long time. While Lillie is open to the possibility of reconciliation, Gladion is more hesitant.

Doesn’t really operate too much at the Aether Foundation. Most of the responsibility has fallen onto Wicke and Lusamine sort of just shadows here and there. She’s embarrassed about showing herself to her peers and usually does foundation work online inside her home. Her work gets looked after by Wicke, as an added precaution.

Whenever Lillie comes home from Kanto, she tries to spend time with Lusamine. While Lillie is open to having a relationship with her mother once again, it’s difficult as bad memories come flooding back. However, Lusamine encourages Lillie to talk about it and allows her to air out the painful feelings that were brought about during that time. Lusamine doesn’t say a word and just lets her daughter vent, because to her, she needs to be reminded of what she has done. When Lillie finishes, Lusamine reminds Lillie that she has every right to be angry and every right to not forgive her. Lusamine wants to be a good mother to her kids, but understands that it may not be possible given what she has done. All she can do is listen and validate their feelings and promise to be better.

Ghetsis👑

An unstable individual without a doubt. Can barely distinguish reality from his own warped twisted view.

Everyone’s just a pawn to him and it doesn’t matter who. The Seven Sages, his useless Grunts, and, of course, N are all parts in his little toolbox. He could easily convince others to do something or, God forbid, trust his word with a simple heart to heart. He’s a master at words and knows what strings to pluck.

Such a drama queen, emphasis on drama. Ghetsis literally cannot stand being criticized nor ignored. He surrounds himself with yes men, ie. The Seven Sages, and their unwavering approval towards him gives him the push to keep doing what he’s doing. Just like how a cult leader operates.

Ghetsis doesn’t get Pokémon. He understands they are fantastical beings, but he never understood them with a humane approach. He acquired his team from the Seven Sages, each one gifting Ghetsis their partner Pokémon to dedicate their loyalty to him. These Pokémon had no idea of the world of hurt and mistreatment that Ghetsis would soon bestow upon them. Ghetsis’ “training” wasn’t anything like Pokémon battling or sparing. He would force his team to undergo harsh experiments to push beyond their limitations to the point of life threatening. Hydreigon got the worst of it and actually retaliated against Ghetsis by viciously attacking him, causing near fatal injuries.

I want to theorize that Ghetsis’ lineage, the Harmonia name, may be linked to the Abyssal Ruins somehow. It’s a long stretch, but for some reason, I see Ghetsis having some strange connection to the sunken temple with its abundance of wealth and knowledge. The ruins might have been a palace or something akin to the Library of Alexandria, where Unovian rulers amassed a swath of power and influence and knowledge over the region. I feel like Ghetsis’ family tree may have something to do with it considering how the site seems to be full of unsolved mystery. And knowing how other NPCs talk about it and the items that the player can find, it just feels like something that can be traced back to Ghetsis as he’s someone who believes has a divine right.

Ghetsis feels phantom pain on his right eye all the time. It got taken out by Hydreigon and he can’t see quite as well. However, he’ll feel a throbbing sensation. However, he doesn’t feel any pain or discomfort on his right side at all. It’s just his right eye.

Has a dark sense of humor. A morbid sense of humor.

If there’s ANY sense of normalcy with this man, he’s an avid reader. He likes to engage with mythology and science, primarily related to technology and energy, as well as history books about Unova’s past. Anytime where he’s not plotting world domination, he’s got his nose in a book.

Despite being an adoptive father, Ghetsis has never formed a genuine connection with his children. Concordia and Anthea barely spent time with him, but whenever he would, he’d be soft and gentle. Of course, it didn’t stop him from brainwashing them into his cult and putting the responsibility of N’s well-being over their own, especially at a young age. He would always emphasize N’s importance as crucial and simultaneously make the girls believe that their existence is to serve N. As for N himself, well, we all know the story by now.

Lysandre🔥

Gonna be real honest here: this dude gave me a lot to think about, headcanon wise. It’s not so much the fact that he’s kind of intimidating to write about, but more on the fact that he’s kind of mid whenever the topic lands on him specifically. Lysandre happens to be both complicated yet interesting, so it gave me something to munch on.

Lysandre oozes with confidence. He takes pride in his work and public image. He can handle stress pretty well and knows exactly how to deal with issues that crop up in his daily life, which I can only hope to aspire to be one day.

His relationship with Sycamore is near and dear to him. Lysandre shares mutual respect with Sycamore and keeps in touch to get any recent news or highlights on the professor’s research. These two go way back and their interactions are pleasant and low key. However, as they gotten busier, their meet-ups dwindled. Still, Sycamore remains as Lysandre’s closest friend and someone whom Lysandre can turn towards whenever he’s upset about something.

Connecting with the prior point, knowing Lysandre’s villainous goals and the overall destructive effect it would entail, he decided on a selective few who he wanted to spare. Sycamore happened to be person number one.

People perceive Lysandre differently and it all depends on who you talk to. Some say that he’s quite generous as a philanthropist while others say he’s elusive and hard to read. Others make assumptions based on superficial observations such as his wealth and popularity. Honestly, it’s never consistent.

Despite what others think, Lysandre falls into the introvert category. He doesn’t like to be in public for long periods of time, but bears through it because of his job.

Coffee lover. I mean, he has his own café so it’s pretty much canon?

I’ll just say it here: Malva is a simp for this man. She has special connections with Lysandre and as a result she’s able to get the full scoop on his secretive activity behind the public’s eye. Lysandre absolutely knows that Malva’s got a thing for him (I mean, she’s got good taste) and he definitely does use that to his advantage. He can convince her to manipulate the media, as well as divert any attention away from him while he conducts his Team Flare work. Malva doesn’t question his authority and she’s pretty much a ride or die. Nobody expected Kalos’s top reporter to be part of this nefarious group, which I suppose could be Lysandre’s doing as a way of showing thanks by protecting her reputation.

Him wanting to wipe the world clean from all of its impurities brewed inside of him for a long time. Initially, he really wanted to make people’s lives better with his humanitarian efforts but became tired and frustrated each time people complained that he wasn’t doing enough. Like, this man tried endlessly to provide a solution. The results continued to yield nothing and it sprouted the seeds of resentment and hate within Lysandre to pursue the nuclear option. To an extent, I see where Lysandre comes from. It sucks when people keeps pressuring you to do more, to give more of yourself to people, yet get little in return. However, it doesn’t negate the fact that Lysandre was willing to commit mass murder on people because they kept bitching at him for minor reasons. You can’t fault the man for being pissed, but still: Genocide ain’t it.

~Gladion is the furthest thing from being open about his regression. he would rather die than let just anyone know

~Selene didn't catch on at first, but often times just by being around her Gladion would regress without realizing it and she started to pick up on when the other went 'soft.'

~Considering most times when Gladion's small he's vent regressing, it was a nice change to just be content when little

~She's more along the lines of Gladions big sister when it comes to her role as a caregiver.

~All of his little gear is Umbreon themed, or at least most of it.

~Selene absolutely helps the other come out of his shell.

~Gladion has an Umbreon themed onesie that Selene got for him. She probably has a rockruff one herself, so that she can match her little brother :3

~Trying to relearn how to ask for things, even if it's just a simple want and not something he needs to survive. it's easier to set boundaries when it's small things like asking to pick out a special treat, or a favorite dessert, a fun book to read together, etc.

~Training their pokemon together. An idea that Gladion didn't want to do at first while small, sure that it was going to pull him out of headspace, but Selene makes it so light hearted and playful. Less about getting stonger and trying to survive, but just having fun.
