Week 14 (storyboard animatic camera movements)

Adding camera movements on the animatic really added that sense of depth which I wasn't really able to capture initially. However, with these it really adds that flow or that sense of continuity. As if the frames are moving faster and less awkwardly waiting to gk to the next scene.

Remember when I was trying to find a voice claim for Topaz and I kinda found one but wasn’t sure if I was really feeling it? Well, I FINALLY found one that I think is pretty spot on to what she sounds like in my head. My sister was finding some voices for her characters and showing them to me so I thought I would it another shot. Glad I did, I really love this voice for her. 🥺

Usually with spunky kickass girls like Topaz, the character’s voices either end up being too high pitch and bubbly or low and too gruff/tomboy sounding. GK Bowes’ voice is right in the middle. Still sounds pretty cute with high energy but has a little gruff edge. I wanted to cut down the original video to voice clips I liked, but I really liked most of them. I can see Topaz 98% of what’s being said here. This is her voice.

So yeah, enjoy a 2 minute Topaz pic slideshow. Man, wish I had the motivation to a little animatic to one of these clips. That’ll be sick 😩
