[Teamster.org is IBT's official website]
Today, Teamsters voted by an overwhelming 86.3 percent to ratify the most historic collective bargaining agreement in the history of UPS. The five-year contract protects and rewards more than 340,000 UPS Teamsters nationwide, raising wages for full- and part-time workers, creating more full-time jobs, and securing important workplace protections, including air conditioning. The agreement passed by the highest vote for a contract in the history of the Teamsters at UPS. All supplemental agreements were ratified as well, except for the Local 769 LAI supplement which covers 174 members in Florida. The national master agreement will go into effect as soon as this supplement is renegotiated and ratified. [...] “Our members just ratified the most lucrative agreement the Teamsters have ever negotiated at UPS. This contract will improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of workers,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien. “Teamsters have set a new standard and raised the bar for pay, benefits, and working conditions in the package delivery industry. This is the template for how workers should be paid and protected nationwide, and nonunion companies like Amazon better pay attention.” “This is the richest national contract I’ve seen in my more than 40 years of representing Teamsters at UPS,” said Teamsters General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman. “There are more gains in this contract than in any other UPS agreement and with no givebacks to the company. But the hard work doesn’t end here. We will continue to fight like hell to enforce this contract and make sure UPS lives up to every word of it over the next five years.” Highlights of the tentative 2023-2028 UPS Teamsters National Master Agreement include: Historic wage increases. Existing full- and part-time UPS Teamsters will get $2.75 more per hour in 2023. Over the length of the contract, wage increases will total $7.50 per hour.
Existing part-timers will be raised to no less than $21 per hour immediately, and part-time seniority workers earning more under a market rate adjustment will still receive all new general wage increases.
General wage increases for part-time workers will be double the amount obtained in the previous UPS Teamsters contract — and existing part-time workers will receive a 48 percent average total wage increase over the next five years.
Wage increases for full-timers will keep UPS Teamsters the highest paid delivery drivers in the nation, improving their average top rate to $49 per hour.
Current UPS Teamsters working part-time will receive longevity wage increases of up to $1.50 per hour on top of new hourly raises, compounding their earnings.
New part-time hires at UPS will start at $21 per hour and advance to $23 per hour.
All UPS Teamster drivers classified as 22.4s will be reclassified immediately to Regular Package Car Drivers and placed into seniority, ending the unfair two-tier wage system at UPS.
Safety and health protections, including vehicle air conditioning and cargo ventilation. UPS will equip in-cab A/C in all larger delivery vehicles, sprinter vans, and package cars purchased after Jan. 1, 2024. Two fans, heat exhaust shields, and air induction vents in the cargo compartments will be retrofitted into all cars.
All UPS Teamsters will receive Martin Luther King Day as a full holiday for the first time.
No more forced overtime on Teamster drivers’ days off. Drivers will keep one of two workweek schedules and cannot be forced into overtime on scheduled off-days.
UPS Teamster part-timers will have priority to perform all seasonal support work using their own vehicles with a locked-in eight-hour guarantee. For the first time, seasonal work will be contained to five weeks only from November-December.
The creation of 7,500 new full-time Teamster jobs at UPS and the fulfillment of 22,500 open positions, establishing more opportunities through the life of the agreement for part-timers to transition to full-time work.
More than 60 total changes and improvements to the National Master Agreement — more than any other time in Teamsters history — and zero concessions from the rank-and-file.
Last month, the UPS Teamsters National Negotiating Committee, as well as representatives of UPS Teamster locals in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, unanimously endorsed the agreement. UPS Teamsters voted electronically between August 3-22

WuWa: Free 5-star Selection, Beginner’s Choice Convene, & More Jiyan Attempts
The last few days have been eventful. I made my selector decision and got in few nice ten pulls on the Beginners Choice and Jiyan convenes. Let’s take a look, shall we?
Free 5-star Selection
The Giveback Custom Convene selector came in clutch (we love compensation rewards in this household). Before utilizing it I had already pulled both Verina and Calcharo so making my decision was much easier than I expected:
Tumblr media
I adore Jianxin’s personality; she’s disciplined, righteous, and a dedicated martial artist. I really like her design, her battle animations are solid, and her play style is pretty straightforward as well. She’s been great for exploring the over-world due to her shielding, self healing, and buffing capabilities for her teammates. Overall, not a bad choice for early game (I play for enjoyment > meta so take everything I say with a grain of salt). Not sure how great she’ll be in endgame content since she does require a good bit of field time to get all of her buffs in order, but I’ve loved playing with her so far and she’ll likely be a staple in my echo farming team for a long time coming.
Tumblr media
Beginner’s Choice Convene
With 3/5 of the standard 5* characters already in my clutches, I had a very important decision to make. Obviously Encore would’ve been a great choice since I didn’t yet have any Havoc coverage, however, I was knee deep in Lingyang’s companion quest at this point in time and I simply could not ignore my heart on this one.
So I set my path for the little Lion Dancer and continued grinding out gameplay for more standard pulls; I got a solid triple multi right before my boy danced his way into my roster at 41 pity:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lingyang is such a sweetheart; fiercely loyal, caring, and lovable through and through. His companion quest sold me on him almost immediately, having the opportunity to play with him during the process only solidified my decision. He’s so very fun to play with. Implementing his Lion Dance background into his battle animations was such a good call on the Dev’s part. The animations are really smooth and satisfying to work with. Unfortunately, he’s not as strong as the other standard dps units but I find him to be the most entertaining to use (so far) and I have no regrets about choosing him for my guarantee.
Tumblr media
Jiyan Convenes
I made a last ditch attempt at Jiyan before ultimately deciding to call it quits on him and start saving my astrites for next patch:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A nice triple multi followed by a sad singular one. 90 total convenes thrown toward bringing the General home is a good effort and necessary stopping point.
At present, WuWa just doesn’t give out enough premium currency for me to justify putting everything I have into the first limited character. There’s too much uncertainty and I really don’t know enough about this game to “fuck it we ball” my way through it like I have been in HSR. It’s probably better for me to keep my guarantee on the back burner while I study up on the intricacies of this game.
I don’t plan on scooping up Yinlin so I should have a good chunk of time to hoard astrites before inevitably going for the next character. Hopefully my next attempt is kinder to me than this one has been.
That’s all on WuWa for now. It’ll probably be a while before my next update on this game (unless I get lucky on standard banner) so have fun out there and good luck on your pulls!
Now, back to our regularly scheduled HSR yapping. Boothill pulls are today — wish me luck!

Fictober 18. That 70s Show. July 2004. Nearing Armageddon.
Eric is pacing back and forth, back and forth. A cordless phone is clenched in his hand, like a Jedi would clutch a lightsaber.
He's feeling particularly blue, as he blurts out what's been on his mind. For almost a year. "Is there anything you'd like to tell me?"
In turn, Leah willfully deflects. "I love you?"
Eric sighs, as that's to be expected. "That's nice to hear, but...you're not telling me or your mom much of anything."
"What is there to tell?" She openly challenges, "Everything is fine."
"Oh, okay..." He trails off, refusing to fall into the same old trap. A deadly trap, courtesy of yesteryear. "No, no. I'm not falling for that. Everything is not fine! I know a lot of the whos, the whats, the whens, and the wheres, but I don't know most of the whys."
She nervously gulps. "Dad, everything is fine."
He grows increasingly anxious, running his hands through his hair. "It's not fine, but why?"
"Just stop, okay?" She's angry, and as time quickly elapses, at the speed of light, that anger seems to grow. And grow, like a stubborn little weed. "Get off my back."
"I'm just trying to understand..."
And then, she nearly explodes. "No, you won't understand. Ever."
Now, he's close to pulling out his hair in absolute anguish. And then, if only for a mere moment in the vast expanse of time, he'd be as bald as his father.
Instead, he attempts to remain calm, with a haunting mantra. This kid is driving me crazy!
And it's way more than her having strange friends, wearing strange clothes, and listening to strange music. He doesn't feel like he's in a zoo, but it was like he's been engulfed into a black hole. Being shredded into a billion little pieces, over and over.
And he still tries to understand. With an olive branch, rather than a weed wacker. "Well, I was bullied back in the day. Destroy and Giveback would snap my pencils in half, and said that that's what they'd do to me if I stood up for myself..."
Leah cuts him off, with a sombering reminder. "Isn't one in prison and the other one owns some dinky pawn shop?"
"Hey, I'm pretty sure that the one that owns the dinky pawn shop earns more money than me..." He trails off, once again. "Okay, you've succeeded in getting me off topic."
"It's not hard," Leah openly declares, with a likely smirk, "Should I mention Star Wars or something?"
Eric readily basks in the opportunity, like a cat basking in the sun. "Great, kid. Don't get cocky."
But Leah seems notably oblivious. "I think you're the one getting cocky."
"How? I'm just a father, concerned for the welfare of his daughter," He explains, as his nearest and dearest galaxy comes crashing down, "Because you are going down a dark path, and I fear it will dominate your destiny."
Leah finally catches on. "Dad, stop with the Star Wars quotes."
"Well, it was technically a paraphrase, and you got me going, missy." An awkward chuckle escapes his lips, but he quickly cuts to the chase. "But there's more to the story, and I want to be there for you."
"You don't need to be there for me for anything, because nothing else happened."
"I kinda think it did..."
He hears the phone angrily slam, like a supernova. An exploding star, eventually sputtering out to nothing. Before returning to a sea of darkness.
Once again, he inevitably sighs. "Yeah, I definitely think it did."

Hey my beautiful Moonbeans, I have a serious thing I need to talk about. I recently lost my work hours, and I am struggling to make ends meet. I am of course looking for a job, but in the meantime I'm going to be throwing myself into streaming a bit more, as well as doing extra tiktoks and whatnot. Finding a job that will be able to work for me and my disabilities is not easy, however it isn't impossible and I am using all the resources possible to achieve a job asap. I've decided to do an uncapped subathon/donothon to add a bit of a giveback to my community. This event will start on January 30th and the counter will likely start with about a days worth of time. I'd like to use this event to not only help myself get back on track, but also spread word about my disability, and have a chance to connect with more people. There will be other silly fun surprises throughout the event. For example there will be a 1 sub one kill event for Assassins Creed and I will count every sub made from the day the event starts. I hope to see some new and returning faces, and as always... if you drop into my stream, please let me know if you're also a streamer and I'll definitely give you a shoutout and some love <3

judgement days 💼 ( warning to humanity)
we can all feel it even if we cannot physically see it or admit it but the energy we have once been used too is now altering , terraforming for the
judgment days that are arising , the veils are finally lifting for thoses with open spiritual eyes
even though all is neutral each polarity will still reaps the pros & cons of what kind of energy they choose to be in , live in & believe in
the almighty highs or whoever you believe god or gods to be have always been watching us all
seeing beyond the masks some where everyday , beyond the words we lie about , beyond the veils we put over our past actions , decisions & self
they have seen all the times we have had ill intentions & sweet words, they all have seen & documented all in our akashic records stored in our DNA & souls memories , everything has a consequences yet if you work progressively to heal & forgive , shadow work & elevate spiritually you will not be demised from sin or regrets
if you choose to not & live in low vibrational states, you will have karma crawling apon your feet, karma being the energy that repays the ones who lie to themselves & others believing that all their sins will be swept away under the rugs of forgiveness of sympathy yet true forgiveness comes with the action of admitting & understanding what has been done wrong not using excuse to fill the reasonings of evil
only the chosen ones , the 144,000 will survive the process of the great awakening before our eyes
what is done in reverse will always come back forward again someday & as we have lived in a reversed system doing all backwards with reversed energy for the last 600 years, time is up
we are in the 700 year tribulations now &
the times of forward movement are restoring to it’s natural balances, removing all things that are parasitic to the new fourth dimension vibration
removing all unnatural people , energies & systems & social plagues , decoding & exposing especially those killing themselves & others spiritually will be finished & compromised from lack of ascension & lack of healing
depression , heavy substance uses, manipulative energies , self neglecting of self & fear based things will reap the universal truths that they must now go or become aligned before the judgment times
judgment days are on the way & you will not survive if you are not aligned with yourself & your spiritual guides, we are in spiritual warfare
the judgements of others should not concern you
or distractions & spiritual traps will consume you whole with no where to go when our judgment days are here
this spiritual warfare is coming directly for your spirit, soul & energy not your money , your designer clothes or the popularity or likes you have on social media platforms
the farther you push yourself away from ascension the closer you are to being forever lost
in this 3D matrix & system , for some they will believe the metaverse will save them
the metaverse is a trap to live in a artificial timeloop of reality where you will have no opportunity to escape ever again as you have to give your soul for entree & there’s no givebacks
judgement days are approaching now as well determining who will go / demise & who will stay for the new coming energy transitions, choose you or forever be consumed.-themysticmatrix

National Sock Day
Most don’t pay a whole lot of attention to them, but these little pieces of fabric we wear on our feet are an important part of being cool and comfortable all day long!
National Sock Day is here to celebrate and show appreciation for these accessories that are not only effective at their job, but they look great too!
History of National Sock Day
The history of socks goes back more than 2000 years, when cave dwellers would make them out of matted goat hair to keep their feet warm. At the time, socks may have been made with a split in the toe so that they could be worn with sandals that had a strap between the toes. Of course, today, wearing socks with sandals is a bit out of date but many people still do it because it has its practicalities.
Socks have been a part of many people’s daily lives for thousands of years and National Sock Day is the time to enjoy them! Founded in 2016, National Sock Day was established by a clothing company called Pair of Thieves.
The idea for National Sock Day was to promote the day as not only a celebration of socks, but to promote goodwill. That year, the Pair of Thieves clothing company also went around (complete with a small marching band) showing good will to employees of various companies and passing out free socks.
The inaugural National Sock Day also acted as a way for people to give some socks to various people who are in need. In fact, in the past, the Pair of Thieves company has offered a charity event where a pair of socks is donated for every pair that is purchased on National Sock Day.
By 2020, Pair of Thieves had launched their “Do-Gooders” collection of socks that “helps shoppers purchase with purpose”, lasting from December 1-4. The event started with Giveback Tuesday on December 1 and finishing up with National Sock Day on December 4.The company has been known to partner with different charities, such as The Trevor Project, the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention and the Blackout/Whiteout Initiative.
When the idea for National Sock Day came about, the company wanted to hold the celebration on December 4. This was due to the day’s association with the closing of the 1954 Broadway musical “On Your Toes”. In addition, the day also commemorates the final concert of the “toe-tapping” mother and daughter country music duo, The Judds, in 1991.
So no matter what the reason for celebrating, whether it’s tapping those toes or wrapping them, National Sock Day is meant to be a time of fun and good cheer!
National Sock Day Timeline
8th Century BC Socks are first used
It is believed that socks date back almost 3000 years, when they are used by Greeks and made from matted animal hair.
300-500 AD Oldest known pair of surviving socks
Dating back to this time, a pair of socks from Oxyrhynchus on the Nile in Egypt has split toes so it can be worn with sandals.
17th Century Socks get a name change
Previously called “stockings” in English, the new name “socks” begins to come into play.
2008 Happy Socks Company begins
Getting its start in Sweden, Happy Socks is founded by two friends (one a graphic designer) and has since become a worldwide phenomenon.
2016 First National Sock Day is celebrated
Founded by Pair of Thieves, the inaugural National Sock Day makes its debut.
How to Celebrate National Sock Day
Take a little bit of time to celebrate National Sock Day by enjoying the day and implementing some of these ideas:
Get a New Pair of Socks
With the new and exciting trends in socks in today’s world, footwear doesn’t have to be boring anymore! Whether it’s a pair of brightly colored socks decorated with geometric shapes or some fun mismatched crew socks, National Sock Day is a fun time to fill that sock drawer with some new and delightful pairs of socks!
Purchase Socks for Someone in Need
While this is a great day to make some sock purchases for yourself, it’s even better to use this as a time to buy some socks for someone else who might be in need. For many homeless shelters, socks are one of the things that at-risk people need the most as they are so important for keeping feet warm and dry.
So take advantage of National Sock Day as a motivator to check in at a local homeless shelter to see if they are in need of socks, or to make a financial donation to a shelter to help people who are in need.
Throw a National Sock Day Party
Enjoy the day and celebrate with friends by throwing a fun party in honor of National Sock Day! Invite some friends over and make sure they wear their craziest socks to the party. Have guests play games related to socks, such as a sock-matching game, create a sock-snake by tying a bunch of socks together, or use pairs of rolled up socks in a sock toss game.
Watch a Movie Featuring Socks
Whether having a few friends over, wearing goofy socks and watching a movie, or just hanging out on your own, National Sock Day might be a fun time to watch one of these films that includes a fun scene with socks.
The Wizard of Oz (1939). Although the actual attention is paid to the ruby red slippers that are worn by the Wicked Witch, the black and white striped socks that she is wearing with them are certainly worth noting.
Clueless (1995). Alicia Silverstone’s character in this movie wears all kinds of different knee socks and even some over the knee socks with her adorable short skirts. Add a plaid jacket or a beret and it’s the perfect combination.
Whip It (2009). It’s hard to find a sport that has better socks than roller derby! Including big names like Drew Barrymore, Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis, Elliot Page and Alia Shawkat, this film features tons of cool knee socks.
Risky Business (1983). While this particular pair of socks is not that remarkable, when the movie was shot in the early 80s, Tom Cruise was just making his debut. And perhaps the fact that he was also in his tighty-whitie underwear is why the socks get a little bit forgotten.
Make Some Sock Puppets
Entertainment for National Sock Day can be super fun when taking a little time to craft some sock puppets. Grab some old socks that have lost their matches, get creative by gluing on some googly eyes and drawing on a mouth. Find a little script for a fun puppet show online, or have fun writing your own. Entertain the kids or just do it in the mirror for fun in honor of the day.
National Sock Day FAQs
What do compression socks do?
Compression socks apply pressure to the lower legs to help with blood flow and circulation.
Do socks matter for running?
Some experts think that cushioned, supportive running socks are just as important as a good running shoe.
Are socks considered accessories?
Yes! Although they might have been previously thought of as boring old undergarments, today’s unique styles and colors of socks have made them a fun fashion accessory!
Can socks cause blisters?
Yes, socks that do not fit properly can rub in certain areas and cause blisters, especially if they are too loose.
How should socks fit?
Socks should fit snugly but not squeeze. The circumference of the sock should be about one inch smaller than the size around the ball of the foot, and sock length should be one inch shorter than the foot length from heel to toe.

on the day your trauma is louder than your love, the memories of every paper-cut, come to surface. every raised voices, cruel words, miss judgements, unfair acts, uncomfortable situations, physical pain—and each, if not all, of the tiniest misfortunes that wasn’t enough to kill nor bleed you but enough to make part of you pull away and lose a little love each time. you sit with them as you watch them pull the trigger.
on the day your trauma is louder than your love, you overthink pasts and future you forget about present. you multiple problems to shadow those already exist. you wallow in what-ifs, anticipated worst-case scenarios. you bear all the untold story within you, sealed them like a sacred oath. you engage in invisible grief and surrender all the state of your peace.
one the day your trauma is louder than your love, the word home becomes fuzzy and you are no longer able to figure the two arm wrapped around you. was it love? was it harm? you are constantly confused confused and confused you start to lose yourself and let the destruction filled in.
on the day your trauma is louder than your love, you are constantly scared. of tenderness, both of your own and what people lend. of kindness you failed to giveback. of tone you misread. of attention you can not take. of people you’re about to lose. you set boundaries too high or too bold or too much you become outsider. you turn on your autopilot mode repeating the same patterns over and over again without any awareness. the misfortune that wrapped in a blanket called trauma takes your soul away from you—your willingness and ability to be vulnerable.
on the day your trauma is louder than your love, you feel aches all over your body; mind and heart included. eyes filled with the weight of unshed tears. hardly catching breath with your heart pumping uncontrollably. mind having hard time to define how it feels to exist and feel alive. cant find a way to rewire your brain. the pain is overwhelmingly intense yet you just can’t figure the line between whats real and whats not. struggling struggling struggling, you turn fatigue and helpless.
on the day your trauma is louder than your love, its only natural you want to hide from the world. you want to run to the furthest place you know and quit anything that hold you close. you want to shut down and not to tell any word to anyone. you want to be absent for long, you let your details die and your stories fade before you even notice. no trace left about how you used to be.
on the day your trauma is louder than your love, you want to disappear and call it quits. out of everything you’ve tried to recall, love supposed to heal. but on the day your trauma is louder than your love, do love even cross your mind?
(i recite “on the day your trauma is louder than your love” from a quotes by Kyle Hulehan).
