So I made the wise decision to give-#-Wels the same mole I give False and the same little lower lash because they’re nose and eye shapes already matched #they’re not siblings (shown by one of them not even being an actual raptor bird) but they do look uncannily similar #and I’ve decided now that my False and Wels like to just lie to people and say they’re twins for fun.#They both have fucked up doppelgängers they would find it funny.#anyways False is a red tailed hawk (specifically a dark morph)#and Wels is a peregrine falcon #armor is so hard to draw guys never draw armor it SUCKS. I did get to have Laois Dunmeshi Touden on my screen for reference the whole time-#-I was drawing Wels though so it’s not all bad #still baffled I draw the human body part of that pose for false so easily though. Fully believe I was possessed by one of the Greek muses-#-or something because I do not know enough about anatomy to have that shit memorized but it looked normal when I looked at it so. #em draws stuff #wind in the willows #witw #this is a redraw of my attempt at doing designs for these four about two years ago!#wanted to lean a little harder into the late-edwardian and also what I personally think could be fun out of these critters #also going to specify more clearly this time around that I'm drawing badger and ratty as butches!#also did that in the previous iteration but I think I communicated it better this time around #ratty's look here is also based on too-ticky - felt like the right place for some visual influence from tove jansson and tuulikki pietilä!#no glasses for mole in this iteration but I did think she needed something to spice up her design so she's got a little carbide lantern #and then I tried to give miss toad a big hat but it wasn't working out visually... you should still imagine one though :}

#I am tempted to ramble about the things i am putting into the redesigns y'all #I won't subject you to them in a post though #I found an overlay that lets me change the color of ear tips and it looks so nice im probably gonna go back and edit all the older ones #also figuring out how much to lighten the textures on palms of hands because it has always bothered me that the palms are the same #For npcs you only see in cold regions they will hopefully look colder as i'm trying to make their faces flushed and frost-nipped #I also working out natural looking blush colors #Bosmer are just reddish like default #Im giving dunmer a kind of blue-purple range and altmer a gold-reddish range #I already include a lot of freckles/moles/eyebags #and some rosacea but i need to do more with birthmarks. Also gonna try to make a npc with piebaldism #And giving altmer non-blonde hairs #CoDB
