It's been almost a year or so of CAD/A&D fixation so you know what that means. Obligatory classpecting. Admittedly it is late so I can't fully write up a full analysis as to Why for the classpects but the basics are:

Ethan - Witch of Hope: Initially I leaned more towards Ethan being a Page or an Heir of Hope as he has a heavy focus on the ideas of Heroism and the morality involved with that, however I feel that those classes feel a bit too passive for Ethan, Ethan very much believes in his conviction and wants to see the good in people and makes that effort to change other's mindsets, feeling more fitting for the manipulation aspect of the Witch class

Lucas - Knight of Blood: Knights both tend to protect their element while also being insecure about them and I think especially with these more recent pages, Lucas struggles mostly with opening up to his friends and his interpersonal relationships. He's very protective of his friends and is willing to (almost self destructively) risk his own life for their sake but also fears being judged and hurt, leading to him not having that many bonds that the Blood aspect is more about than Heart which I considered for him. Also just him usually being the one who puts himself in the most physical risk and tends to bleed for the ones he loves literally

Scott - Prince of Void: OK so hear me out. I initially thought Mage of Void or potentially Seer of Void but after some thinking I believe the Prince class would be more interesting for his previous developments. Scott struggles immensely with the fear of the unknown and the damage that comes with that, so in ghosting Light he seeks out knowledge and understanding, clinging to what he understands already to be "true" (That sentient artificial life is impossible and if possible, is a risk to everyone he loves) and ultimately utilizes Void as a weapon while trying to destroy Void. (Lying to Lucas and especially Ethan because he believed they were at risk because of that uncertain future that could have lead to them getting hurt, of which became self fulfilling in a way)

Again I could probably write a more complex / through reasoning post but for now. ✨️ Them ✨️

Ooo if it's OK with you could you assign one for Scott? He's the tech guy for the comic and does a lot of engineering, he's very protective of his friends and a little stubborn and secretive about it but he's very caring and resilient!! good morning analog and dpad fandom

Hi i can't sleep and when I can't sleep I think about my current fixation which right now is analog and dpad and something i keep thinking about is how like. Depressing Scott's apartment looks in a way that I think is very interesting for his character

Like so much of it from what we can see feels very empty yknow? Spacious sure, but it doesn't really feel like he's actually made it his own, how besides the mess we see for a little bit in the living room in it the place has hardly changed at all from the first year flashback besides just some small adjustments, everything is still hung up on the wall how it has been for years, there's still the empty chairs at the dining table, still that small statue in the back

Especially like contrasted with Ethan and Lucas who seem to have moved to a whole new apartment and even still their living space feels a lot more like they actually yknow Live there, with the arcade cabinet, the posters, how the wall colors change, small visual adjustments for the passing of time and all

I know the most likely reason for it is just how the model is rendered for his apartment + the explanation of it being minimalist but still like how much of it is even his stuff? Did the apartment just come like that, and besides the small desk we see that actually does speak to his personality, has it remained more just a place he rents than one where he actually lives in?

And again I know its likely just part of whatever modeling software is used for the background references (and its not me complaining about it btw, again I find it very narratively interesting actually) but even his desk feels very empty compared to what it used to look like in the original panels with the strewn about tools and gear on standby for regular use with small personal items like the little penguin on the shelf

I dont know if I have like a major Point to any of this rambling but I think about it a lot. The sort of stagnation he exhibits in his environment as the other two change and inhabit their homes while his remains a time capsule of the past with little actual parts of him in it, to the point I have to ask myself if the posters in the back are even his or just ones that were put up back there and happened to be near his desk.

How much of his life does he live in a place that might as well be the same as when he started renting it? How long has he been mainly just isolated as himself besides the times in the plot where we see his place? How lonely is it there, looking out of those massive windows with no one but yourself? I think about it a lot.
