hi. wanted to pop in rq and update everybody on how i'm doing bc i don't wanna worry anybody.. i'm alright. it's hitting really hard rn and i keep crying over very very little things but ... i'm alright and i'm taking the steps i need to start my healing journey. just want to thank everybody for being so kind to me during such a difficult time and for continuing to check in on me bc the support is helping a lot ♥ i love you guys you have my heart with you

So I'm starting the Dead Boy Detectives

I've decided to write what i know about every show before i watch it, just because I'm oftenly veeery wrong or surprisingly right about some things I've accidentally seen outside on tumblr, which makes it funny. So:

• There's an asian girl with style✨️

• She's into astrology?..something like that?

• Or is it exorcism?

• She's giving Draculaura from the live action is a good way

• There's two boys and i guess they are 👉👈dating?

• Please tell me they are dating and i dont need to watch them go through a 600-6000 years of slow burn...

• Or maybe they are not in love! i just assumed cause they are main characters and i saw 1 (one) fanart of them kissing

• One of them is Charles

• (i have no idea where that name came from i hope it really is his name or I'm going crazy because of all of the other fictional Charles' in my life)

• I think one of them is going to be my favourite, the more polite one

• Idk if there's a polite one I'm telling from the looks

• I also don't remember how they look except for one(?) Is wearing a blazer?

• There's must be a 4th character but idk who

• Most important: it's a Neil Gaiman show. Which is a seal of quality.

• I have zero idea what this show is actually about and why it's called like that I'm just watching it because of Neil Gaiman to be honest

• THERE'RE ANIMATED SEQUENCES

• I learned that just today when i saw a short on YouTube and i REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS FROM THE TANGLED SERIES

• Until the narrator started swearing

• So there's some old lady that never dies but also ages like Madame Gothel from Rapunzel

• And the narrator is some guy

• Idk

• Neil Gaiman really loves immortal characters doesn't he

• And i don't know aaaany other characters

• They do Magic???

lil update post thats mostly rambling tbh

i'm feeling a bit better after a few days of not letting myself ruminate on everything so much. still don't have electricity tho </3 but things are getting better slowlyy. i even managed to draw a lil too

i've adjusted a good bit more to the routine at this point. a lot of people are still struggling out there and once i get my electricity back i'm gonna spread some more resources since wayyy more are available & up-to-date now than what's in my initial post about all this, but for now i'm just lettin y'all know i'm still truckin along 👍

also i wanna give another thanks to yall for spreading that post around so much, even if it's slowed down a lil by now. for those first few days it really felt like we were completely isolated from the world and nobody knew or cared, but i've seen a huge increase in people talking about our situation here since then and it's been surprisingly uplifting. one of the reasons appalachians are such hardheaded motherfuckers is because we're used to having to help each other rather than rely on folks outside the mountains, but seeing y'all expressing sympathies and wanting to help however you can, even if you don't live nearby, has made me feel so much better about our ability to come back from this.

For an update: I did some broad editing of the prologue, because I have a terrible habit of writing things in a really convoluted manner that makes perfect sense to me and I have to not read the piece for like 3 months before I can catch any of it at all. But did that. No major overhaul, thankfully- tho I admit it might need it, we ain't touching that right now and just plowing along to get some actual writing done. I'm also about 1/2 done with Chapter 1, Part 1. Which is great mostly because it feels like I'm actually getting somewhere, unlike last year. It's still a learning curve, figuring out when to make choices and stats and things- but it's happening.

Another fun thing happening is how I have to have a second story to kinda poke at in between writing my main, and I have like 3 ideas I've mulled over but only one is holding my interest enough to actually write, currently, and for funsies I'm gonna set up some polls to see what kind of ROs people would be more interested in- with the condition that I make no promises on any damn things. Like I said, for funsies.
