Sitting at Ric’s desk, Stefan’s head sank down briefly, his hand meeting his chin as he waited for someone to show up; anybody to show up. He couldn’t believe that he’d been tricked into this by Elena -- a human outsmarted him. Damn Cassius and his compulsion and damn Elena for doing this to him. Once he was a free vampire once more, he’d have some choice words for the brunette. It didn’t take long for him to hear the sound of footsteps down the hallway and he hoped it was someone who would get him out of this situation. Or, at least, if it was someone he could compel, it would turn out in his favor. All he needed was one gullible human to break the line of mountain ash and he’d be a free man. “Please tell me you’re here to release me.” Stefan murmured, more so to himself than to the other.

Like no. Don't demonize Damon when all the TVD characters are actually all whiny bitches who can't live up to any of their mistakes and have no consistent personalities whatsoever. Like I could write a ten page paper on what a horrible character Elena is and most people give her a free pass because "her life is tragic". Let's not. Like yeah, Damon's a bad bad person, but like so is everybody else.

     Elena sighed softly, packing her bags for school slowly, dreading leaving the Salvatore house for one of the first times in her life. Damon was here. Damon, whom she loved and cared for and almost lost, and suddenly she was supposed to let him out of her sight and forget her all over again. What if he didn't miss her? What if he met someone else? Bit by bit Elena was closer to leaving, and bit by bit she felt her heart sink. She loved school, but knowing that Damon wouldn't be waiting for her? It made her sick to her stomach.
