19. 09. 15 GET NAKED

A lot of us workout to look good naked...so why wouldn't we do the same for our skin? 

The secret to flawless make-up, is a flawless base. There is no cream, lotion, cleanser, serum, eye cream or high definition anti-ageing botox high-pro tech face mask valued at $1 000 that will change the appearance of your skin overnight. Just like working out, abs won’t appear overnight, nor will an ass the size of Kim Kardashian’s (unfortunately).

I am a doctor with a background of nothing aka every beautician given the chance to swamp your face with expensive products and lotions. 

Perfect skin doesn't have to be expensive, nor complicated. Yes, I own expensive skincare, but priceline products do a pretty damn good job too- you just have to know what you are looking for. 

Do your homework- beauticians are good for diagnosing skin types, so feel free to go to a beautician for that...but when they start attacking your face with overly priced bullshit products like vultures...abort mission- immediately. 

Whether you are a skincare fiend, or new to the wonderful world of skin (hello there), I might be able to provide a little help...but remember I am also a doctor with a background of nothing and I am not the Gandalf of lotions and potions. 

Ok- number one- keep it simple (KISS- KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID).

Products you need: cleanser, exfoliant, serum, moisturiser, primer, make-up remover and sunscreen.

Products you want: face masks, eye creams, and the glamorous lotions.  Steps: 1) Apply your cleanser- a good cleanser will remove dirt, excess oils and all the grime that procreates on your face during the day.  Note: there are different types of cleansers for different skintypes- do your homework otherwise I will need to write 2 000 words- maybe for another post :)

CLEANSE TWICE- Why? First cleanse- remove grime. Second cleanse- treat the skin.
