Are you angry with her?? You would inform her if you were angry with her, correct? It would be illogical not to, of course. There’s probably a perfectly valid reason for your frustration so please inform her right away if there’s ever a problem and she will do her best to correct it. Just to be certain - you are not currently angry with her, yes? She’s only checking because she isn’t quite as adept at reading expressions as she’d prefer and you might - ah, you seem frustrated. TOKYO REVENGERS OMEGAVERSE ☆
୨୧ alpha! tokyorev x omega! reader (pairing : hakkai, takemichi, shinichiro) PART 2
— top 3 pathetic men of tokyorev (trio of simps)
a/n : yes, I needed to rank them after seeing a girl on tiktok rank her favourite pathetic shōjo male leads... my turn ! (nothing great but it had to be done😔)
MY MASTERLIST: ☆
𐙚. N°3 : ALPHA! HAKKAI
there could have been so many options for n°3 but hakkai just seems right. my man is afraid of omegas!! so nervous and shy and for what ?!
the contrast between his enormous build, strong scent of a powerful alpha and the restlessness he has whenever he's talking to you is insanely cute. you can't help but laugh at him and he has no choice but to simply blush at how humiliated he feels !
what do you mean this gang member can't look at you straight in the eyes ? yes, hakkai is pathetic like that. but that's what makes your relationship this precious ; hakkai doesn't act all big and scary with his omega to try and assert dominance. instead, he trips over his words and flinches each time you initiate skinship.
courting is so long and tough, hakkai doesn't know what to do and where to start. should he ask you properly for what type of gifts you enjoy ? does he assume by himself ? do you even want to get courted by him ?
god, he's so unsure of himself. you'll have to guide him throughout your relationship, assure him it's okay to touch you and that he's not hurting you. he knows you're weak and fragile and hakkai's biggest fear is to bring harm to his lovely girlfriend.
he still can't realise he has a girlfriend. he's literally on cloud 9 and does everything to keep you with him. yes he's an alpha, and yes his demeanor changes when you're here. he becomes rather submissive in order to please you better.
also, hakkai is soo jealous. he literally can't bear the thought of any alpha laying their claim on you and ends up becoming overly protective. he's constantly on edge, worried sick about your safety to the point that he already has stalked you a few times... just to make sure you were okay of course !
please don't misunderstand him :( he loves you so much but he just has troubles expressing his overwhelming affection for you...
· · ୨୧ · ·
𐙚. N°2 : ALPHA! TAKEMICHI
professional crawler, on his knees at any minor issue, ready to beg for the forgiveness of his omega. he listens and obey, even when you're wrong, he does as you say!
he admits his mistakes almost instantly and is afraid of upsetting you. he lets himself be scolded because his adorable omega has all the rights in the world when it comes to him!
takemichi borderline worships you, his precious girlfriend who happens to love his far from perfect self... what did he do to deserve such a pretty omega by his side ?
the smallest signs of affection from you are taken as the biggest gifts on his part and he literally can not get tired of it. he asks for more, shamelessly. tell him to do embarrassing things simply to get a peck on the lips and he'll comply in a second! he doesn't feel any shame.
boy is so eager to please :( his friends often make fun of him for how down bad he is, but he honestly couldn't care less.
he talks about you 24/7, everything reminds him of you : sends you pics of a beautiful blooming tree "y/n would love to be here!", he orders your favourite pastry whenever he walks past the shop selling it "I'm gonna buy it for her, I hope y/n will be happy to see I've got her favourite one!", he notes down the places he discovered and think you might like, that way he can bring you there with him on a date next time! and he also makes sure he restocks all your makeup supplies before they're even gone... he's the best!!
he's so desperate he'll try to sniff any lingering pheromones of you he might have on his sleeve after you leave, rolling his eyes when he successfully catches your scent.
he's such a hopeless alpha. you'll ask him how he managed to survive without you for this long and he'll simply answer that he never truly felt alive until he met you. so cheesy but insanely real:(
he melts whenever you're here to comfort him, you're such a reliable mate and takemichi feels so grateful for your devotion towards him. he swears he'll take care of you just as greatly as you do !
· · ୨୧ · ·
𐙚. N°1 : ALPHA! SHINICHIRO
now how can we talk about pathetic men without even mentioning shinichiro. he is the og loser. gets no bitches like takemichi but his case is more severe.
meeting you was a blessing and having you fall for him was a miracle. calling this man a simp is an understatement, he is committed.
he already had little shame, but his dignity is nowhere to be seen if his omega is involved. he's so desperate to keep your relationship going that he's ready to risk everything just to satisfy you.
he buys you everything, gets you a gift and flowers each time you meet up. he asks for your kisses like a high on hormones teenage boy who never felt the touch of a woman, even though you've been together for a few weeks.
he's experiencing everything for the first time with you, which is why he's so eager to touch and feel you. to him, you're the sweetest, prettiest and most perfect angel...
shinichiro doesn't care about your social roles, you're the one leading your couple : shinichiro listens to you. his job is to keep you safe and happy, he has no limits whatsoever and smiles like a fool each time you talk to him. also, he lives for your praises!!
he has the worst pickup lines. he wants to impress you but fails miserably each time which is why he's 1st on this list. he just can't catch a break : he literally begged to take you out on a date the first time and somehow kept embarrassing himself out of stress. and it's you, the omega, who had to appease this big alpha that he was doing fine and that you liked his clumsy side.
when the both of you weren't dating, he would spend his time fantasising about you and bonding with you. he dreamed of biting your nape and actually becoming your alpha for real. he feels weak in the knees now knowing he successfully made you his.
his omega is everything to him and he's careful to be the most attentive and the first to fulfill all of of her needs without delay!

Powerful enough
Pairing: Donna Beneviento x Fem! Reader
Warnings: Slightly dark themes, smut at the end, Minors DNI, mentions of violence and murder, Donna being Donna, fluff
Word count: 8,404
Summary: Can she really protect you?
N/A: Sorry about the language mistakes!!! Requests are open!!! I'm waiting yours!!! I love you all!!! :))
“I don't know what I'm doing here, I should be making my dolls,” Donna murmured, letting you take her hand, despite her reluctance.
Opposites attract or so they said. Nonsense, attracted was a too insignificant verb to describe your relationship. In the two years you had been in that isolated house, you had felt many things similar to pure attraction, but with an intensity that made that word not enough.
Still, convincing Donna to leave her house, even for an innocent and invigorating walking around the grounds, was quite a feat.
“You spend all day with your dolls, I think a quiet walk with your girlfriend won’t hurt you, right?” you said amused, giving her repeated kisses on the cheek, to which the brunette protested with a playful movement of her hands.
“Ugh,” she groaned; her grumpy attitude at an all-time high.
A pity that those tender protests were one of the things you adored about Lady Beneviento.
“Going out is fun!” Angie shouted, who seemed much happier with that excursion than her owner.
“Look, Angie is happy,” you commented, blinking petulantly, leaning towards the lady’s shoulder. “Donna, stop being so grumpy, will you?”
“I'm not grumpy, tesoro,” she protested, sighing and looking around. “I just feel helpless to your requests.”
“That's because you love me,” you hissed with a mocking smile, clinging to her affectionately. “Or well, maybe I have some mental powers too.”
“Maybe, you're the most stubborn girl I've ever seen,” Donna teased, stealing a quick kiss on your lips and making your cheeks blush. “What's your goal with this?”
“My goal?” you asked confused. “Well… it doesn't have a goal. It’s just to spend the time and…”
“Spend the time,” the brunette repeated, looking around. “It's terribly cold, (Y/N).”
“You're such a whiner, darling, but don't worry, I'm used to it,” you said with a tone impregnated with malice, but without really being an acid comment. “Let's talk about something.”
“Mm? What do you want to talk about? It's cold,” she said, frowning, uncomfortable since, once again, you managed to convince her not to wear her veil.
After all, she didn't need it, it was still her land. No one dared to go beyond the wooden door, much less the bridge.
It took you a while to convince her to lose her fear of letting the breeze caress her beauty, but over time you had become a true master of conviction. Well, it could be that or that Donna was simply madly in love with you. Either option seemed valid to you.
“Let's see, let's see...” you whispered thoughtfully, looking up at the snowy trees that guarded the Lord’s territory like silent guardians, like a reminder that you were, in some way, safe. “Oh, yes, I've already finished the book you gave me.”
“You read fast,” Donna murmured, glancing at you out of the corner of her eye, resuming her steps, perhaps more calmly than before.
“You know I love adventures,” you said, sighing romantically, finally managing to walk at the same time as her, holding on to her hand, as if you didn't want to let her go. “Hey, let’s go that way,” you said, deviating slightly from the path towards one of the dilapidated cabins.
“That way? Why do you want to go that way?” the lady asked, letting your hand go and tilting her head as she looked at the cabins. “(Y/N), it’s dangerous, something could collapse and…”
“How old are those cabins?” you asked, making your way through the undergrowth surrounding what was once surely a beautiful metal structure, full of flowers.
“Oh, um…” she replied, watching your clumsy steps through the weeds. “Those cabins were here before my family built the house.”
“Interesting,” you commented, nodding slowly and looking for the best place to cross that kind of protection time granted to that place. “Well, if they haven’t collapsed in all this time, I doubt they will now, right?”
“You are definitely stubborn,” the lady whispered, leading you by the arm along a safer path to one of the cabins. “There, a ruined cabin just for you.”
“Great,” you sighed, rubbing your hands together, but showing no sign of imminent freezing.
“Be careful, (Y/N),” Donna whispered as you explored, the thirst for adventure running through your veins.
“Yes, yes…” you said, rolling your eyes and glancing around that desolate cabin. “Who lived here?”
“Josef, the gardener,” the lady said, answering your question in a somewhat hasty way. “He always worked for my family, he even took care of me after…” she whispered, stopping right at the end of the sentence, not wanting to remember all the tragedies she had to live through.
“Donna, calm down,” you said, cupping her face in your hands before an inevitable crisis clouded that wonderful day. “You don't have to tell me, come on, breathe…” you said, doing relaxation exercises you already knew and that luckily, also calmed the inevitable madness of the lady in black.
“I-I'm sorry,” she stammered, regaining her calm gaze and sketching a shy smile. “I've gotten a little nervous.”
“I know, it's okay,” you said, kissing her slowly on the lips, thus finishing to calm her tormented mind. “Come, Angie, let's explore,” you said to the doll, who followed you immediately.
You and Angie walked through that ruined cabin, finding just old books, typewriters destroyed by time and gardening tools, but, nothing interesting, unfortunately.
You were about to give up, to recognize the cold you were going through and tell your girlfriend you wanted to go home, when you noticed an old shed on the side of the cabin.
“Well, well, Donna, come, look at this,” you said as you and Angie peered over a fallen piece of wood that spanned the shed. “Wait a minute…” you sighed, pulling the obstacle and letting it fall into the snow.
“Be more careful, silly!” Angie protested, as she was almost crushed.
“Oops, sorry,” you said with a worried face, enduring the blows of the doll on your shins. “Look at this…”
“Mm,” the lady murmured, frowning and looking into the shed.
Inside the old structure was a sort of miniature of a house with a too convenient path leading down, as if something had to go there. Beneath the model, there were some tightly closed bars, and inside there was a golden glow that immediately caught your attention.
“What’s this?” you asked, studying that miniature house. “Look, it moves,” you said surprised, realizing that you could move the model at will.
“Oh, it's one of the four labyrinths of Norshteyn,” the brunette explained, with disinterest.
“Who?” you asked, scratching your head and looking curiously at the lady. “A labyrinth?”
“Mm,” she murmured in response, approaching the model with a serious look. “In the 19th century, a craftsman named Norshteyn came to the village. They said he was considered a heretic in his country.
You nodded, blinking in curiosity.
“A craftsman?” you asked, running your fingers over that house. “Wow, he was good.”
“It is said that he made them due to the hospitality in the village. He built four labyrinths for each of the noble families of the place, labyrinths that could contain whatever they wanted,” Donna explained, passing her hand next to yours. “The families deposited some of their treasures inside the labyrinth, hoping that no thief could get them.”
“Oh,” you said attentively, trying to open the gate, something impossible. “He certainly did a good job, this is impossible to open.”
“You can pull as hard as you want, tesoro,” she said, amused by your fruitless attempts. “Karl, Alcina and Salvatore have one model too.”
“Of course... the four families, four Lords, it makes sense,” you said amused, studying the mechanism. “Surely he felt satisfied with his job.”
“Not exactly,” the lady corrected, getting closer to your ear. “When he finished the last of them, he blew off his head.”
“Um, what?” you said, scared by the sinister voice that Donna mastered perfectly. “Why?”
“Nobody knows, it is said that he had four wives, and they all died. He couldn't handle the guilt and…” she whispered in a mysterious tone. “There are many stories about him, but the legend said that he sold his soul to the devil to rescue those of the four loves of his life, paying a very high price.”
“A-A price…” you stammered, letting yourself be carried away by that slightly terrifying atmosphere. “Which one?”
“His own life,” she said, with an increasingly sinister tone, surrounding you by the waist from behind, making you swallow. “There are people who say that those souls… live in these labyrinths… the souls in pain of his wives, desperately searching for their lover, for all eternity.”
“Boo!” Angie screamed, coming out from behind the model and making you almost jump into Donna's arms, taking refuge behind her.
“Yiah!” you screamed, your heart beating very hard while the doll laughed, as did her owner. “Donna…”
“What's wrong, tesoro? Did we scare you?” she asked, grabbing your arm and pulling you closer to her in a playful way, kissing you quickly.
“Yes…” you reluctantly admitted, crossing your arms, but returning the kisses while the doll laughed satisfied. “Donna, you give me the creeps.”
“It must be the cold,” Donna joked, kissing you for the last time and releasing you from her grip while you, pathetically, tried to regain your composure. “Anyway, you won't be able to open it just like that, it needs a key.”
“A key,” you commented, shaking your dress and squinting at the doll, who was still laughing at the scare she gave you. “What key? Do you have it?”
“I don’t,” she said, arranging your clothes lovingly, rubbing your arms. “It's not just any key, it's a kind of ball that you have to roll along the rails to get it into this hole here, see?” she pointed to a small round hole at the end of the model, and you nodded curiously.
“A ball... I see, well, we'll have to look for it, right?” you said, catching your breath and searching around the model. “You don't know where it is? It belonged to your family, didn't it?”
“Yes, but it's probably lost,” the lady commented, sighing with a victorious smile. “Don't bother looking for it, my grandfather tried several times and didn't find it.”
“Well, maybe I can,” you said enthusiastically. “It could be a good adventure, right? The search for a treasure…”
“(Y/N), let's go home, you're just wasting time,” she said, putting a hand on your shoulder.
“Killjoy,” you hissed discreetly. “Come on, Donna, it has to be somewhere…”
“No, besides, it's getting dark, we should go back now,” the lady insisted, crossing her arms.
The cold was already unbearable, and, although you hated to agree with your girlfriend, that time she was right.
“Ugh, okay,” you sighed with a childish grimace. “But I plan to find that key,” you said, raising a finger and letting Donna slide her hand around your waist, guiding you on the way home.
“Mm, I didn't know you were interested in treasure hunts,” she commented with a tender smile.
“Well,” you said in a passive tone. “I've read a lot of similar stories, but I still prefer novels about knights, you know: damsels in distress, dragons…”
Donna laughed, shaking her head and pulling you a little closer to her.
“They are my absolute weakness,” you murmured, fantasizing about your favorite stories. “Especially the part where the brave knight kills the dragon and saves the girl. It must be very romantic.”
“Dragons don't exist,” Donna said in a serious tone, showing you her poor conversational skills, taking everything you said totally seriously.
“Tell your sister,” you said amused, making her shake her head. “The feeling of being saved by a strong and brave knight… it must be great, right?”
“Mm,” she murmured, kissing your hair, not paying too much attention to your fanciful words.
“You know, oh my dear knight, I'm so weak I think I'm going to faint…” you said in a dramatic tone, pulling away and putting a hand on your forehead before doing something stupid, before letting yourself fall to the ground, hoping that she would pick you up in her arms, something that, of course, didn't happen.
“Ouch!” you screamed as you fell to the snowy ground with a thud, glaring angrily at your girlfriend.
“What are you doing? Have you gone crazy?” the lady said, clumsily helping you up as Angie laughed out loud again. “(Y/N)…”
“Ugh, you were supposed to pick me up,” you whispered, letting yourself be helped and checking to see if you had hurt yourself. “Donna… you didn't save your damsel in distress.”
“Damsel in distress? Cavolo, (Y/N), how do you expect me to know that you were going to let yourself fall?” she protested, checking your condition as well. “Are you hurt?”
“No, I'm fine,” you growled with a childish gesture, pushing the brunette's hands away. “And you, stop laughing,” you said to Angie, who was writhing on the floor.
“You are so silly, silly, silly,” the doll mocked, pointing at you with her finger. “You amuse me.”
“Fine,” you hissed, rubbing your back and noticing an even more penetrating cold. “Brr, I'm going to catch a cold.”
“Don't worry, tesoro, let's go home and take a hot bath, do you fancy it?” Donna suggested with a warm smile, kissing you as an apology.
“Yeah, sounds great,” you said, relaxing your expression and your posture.
A hot bath next to the woman you loved was certainly a good plan. Your naked bodies warmed in the water as you intertwined in a comfortable, relaxing silence.
With your head on her chest and her arms around your waist, you continued to fantasize, making your mind travel through stories and memories, memories of how you got to where you were, why you were there, next to her.
You were a simple villager in a not so simple village. The Black Gods, the Lords, Mother Miranda… These were things that made the place very different from any other. You knew it, but you didn't give it any importance, at least until you realized what it meant to have all these entities around you.
You were eight years old, you were a little and dreamer girl like any of your friends, running errands for your parents, praying and having fun. One night, when you had to give some tools to your uncle, while you were walking in the dark through the poorly lit streets, you got a scare that would change your life forever.
Miserable rat or idiot, you didn't know how to describe the man who attacked you from the shadows, demanding, under threats, that you give him all your money. You were a child, you were scared and defenseless.
You had never been so afraid, the knife the robber carried shone in the moonlight and you closed your eyes as you cried in terror. It could have been your end, or, at best, stayed in your mind as an insurmountable trauma, but it wasn't.
You never really believed in miracles, that your devotion to dark deities served any purpose, but that night, yes, that night you witnessed your mistake. Just when you gave up, cornered and with your bag of coins already at the mercy of the attacker, some blades shone next to the knife, abruptly pushing that man away from you.
A local hero? A divine intervention? No, a Lord.
The lady of the castle, Alcina Dimitrescu, finished off that robber. She didn't say anything; she simply looked at you, smiled at you and took what was left of that evil man.
Then your vision of the village changed completely. Everyone, your family, your friends, everyone feared the Lords. They saw them as a constant threat. Mother Miranda always insisted that she, as well as the four nobles, protected the village. You didn't believe it before, but you started to.
The rejection and fear that those four shadows caused you silently mutated into an admiration that became increasingly sick. The priestess was right, they protected you. They were in charge of keeping the village at peace, of freeing you from possible threats. It was impossible for you not to believe it, you had lived it.
Stopping seeing the four Lords as a threat to see them as a shield unleashed many thoughts, you even dared to write letters to the lady of the castle, thanking her for her intervention. They could be childish things, but time passed, and your devotion to the four shadows of the village didn’t diminish.
They were your saviors, your protectors, and it almost seemed like you were the only one who saw them that way. Each and every one of them had extraordinary powers, capable of chasing away anyone who dared to poke their nose into the village's affairs, or harm you. They didn't care if you were rich, poor, or who you were; to them, all of your lives were worthy of protection.
Your devotion to these protectors surpassed even rationality, fervently wishing to meet them, admire them, have a moment to talk to them, to thank them for everything they did. Already 20 years old and with a bold and extroverted character, that goal was closer than ever.
What you never imagined was falling in love with one of them, one that you saw off guard to attack with your questions and sick adoration, the lady in black, the doll maker, Donna Beneviento.
The woman in mourning, always silent and mysterious, unwittingly put herself at the mercy of your approach, at the mercy of your exaggerated words of admiration. As much as the Angie doll protested, the lady didn’t move; she simply listened to you.
Thus, with time, you came to see the beauty she hid, to hear her melodic voice speaking to you, incredulous, surprised because you, unlike the others, didn’t fear her. Love arose soon after, and without wanting to, you ended up completely in love with the lady in black, just as her with you.
Maybe she couldn't transform into a dragon, or control metal, but those trifles ceased to be important to you the moment your lips touched hers. Power and strength stopped being your fixation, Donna began to be.
Two years later, your relationship was perfect, harmonious. The fact that she was a Lord, that somehow you felt safe was something you didn't usually think about.
Donna was a strange woman, hurt by a madness no one could remedy, but she was much more than that, much more than the monster everyone talked about. You weren't exaggerating if you said that she was the love of your life.
Your body enjoyed the warmth of the water, the touch against hers, that vaporized silence filling your mind with dreams and memories. As you moved to let her lips kiss your neck, you felt a slight pain in your back, probably due to the fall.
That pain made you grimace in disgust, but it also made your mind move away from the pure love you felt for Donna, asking yourself a series of questions you had never gotten an answer to.
“Mm, Donna,” you sighed, playing with her hand under the water, breaking the calm, but speaking with a velvety, romantic tone. “Can I ask a question?”
“Sure, tesoro,” she whispered, kissing your ear and leaving her kisses for another time, giving you all her attention.
“Hey, who do you think is the most powerful of your siblings?” you asked distractedly, looking at the ceiling as you moved in the water.
“The most powerful?” Donna asked back, with a thoughtful sigh. “Honestly, I wouldn't know how to answer your question,” she sighed shortly after, looking at you out of the corner of your eye. “Why do you want to know?”
“Oh, curiosity,” you said shrugging, lying back on top of her body. “Well, Alcina can transform into a dragon…”
“It's not exactly a dragon, it's a…” the lady interrupted.
“Yes, yes, a mutation, or whatever. Dragon sounds much better than a mutation of a disgusting mold, doesn't it?” you joked, shaking your head.
She laughed too wrapping her arms around your waist, keeping you closer to her, if that was even possible.
“Let's see, Heisenberg can control metal, Moreau is a huge disgusting fish…” you murmured, counting on your fingers. “Honestly, I ask you because I couldn't tell you which one of them is more powerful.”
“Hey, tesoro, aren't you forgetting something?” she said in a mocking tone, frowning and moving your head so you would look at her.
“Mm? Oh, of course you're there too, but you're no use to me for this,” you said without thinking, causing the water to move along with her body, abruptly.
“Why not?” the lady asked with an inquisitive expression.
You rolled your eyes, turning around to face her.
“Donna, honey, you can't transform,” you said softly, calmly caressing her cheek due to her annoyed look. “I'm talking about real powers.”
“I have real powers, I'm as strong as them, even more,” Donna protested, crossing her arms, with a marked accent that betrayed her anger.
“Yes, yes... you make people hallucinate, but, my love, it's not like you're the strongest woman in the world,” you said jokingly, perhaps without too much care.
“Playing with people's minds isn't enough power? I'm telling you I'm as strong as them,” she insisted nervously, to which you caressed her face amused, biting your lip while your hand traveled along the skin of her arm, pinching it mercilessly. “Cazzo! Cosa diavolo stai facendo!?”
“You see, my love? You control minds, yes, but your body is weak, isn't it?” you mocked while she looked at you with resentment, rubbing her injured arm.
“You say I'm weak?” she asked in a brusque tone, terribly offended. “You think so?”
“No, look, Donna, you know that I love you very much, but maybe you wouldn't be the right one to face an imminent danger, right?”
“I'm stronger than you think!” she said, shouting in a very loud voice, making you back up in the tub.
“Okay, then prove it to me, make me hallucinate,” you challenged your girlfriend, approaching her in the water, suggestively crawling up to her body.
“No,” she answered coldly, putting a hand on your bare chest. “I'm not going to do it.”
“Aren’t you? Come on, say that I'm wrong,” you joked, making a gesture with your hand. “I want to see how powerful my girlfriend is.”
“No, (Y/N), I'm not going to hurt you,” she said, shaking her head and hastily going out the tub. “My powers are not a game, (Y/N). I don't care if you think they're useless.”
“Hey, I didn't say that,” you said, reaching out your hand to take hers while she picked up a towel, covering herself with it. “Donna, don't be mad, come here so I can apologize.”
“I have to make dinner,” she said, leaving the bathroom and you, in the bathtub, sighed regretfully.
“But what did I say?” you murmured, scratching the back of your neck and shrugging. “Oh, I must learn to keep my mouth shut…”
Luckily, the tension you caused dissipated over time and the day could end as usual. You had absolutely nothing against the lady, you didn't doubt her powers, in fact, you knew that, whatever she did, no one had dared to enter her property for years, apart from you, of course.
Okay, maybe the lady in black wasn't the strong and invincible Lord you admired, but that wasn't a reason to stop loving her. Strength was not your main goal, especially when you were able to truly meet Donna, when you saw her deformed but amazing beauty, when her whispers, her caresses, made all the hair on your body stand up.
You didn't bring up the subject again, and the next day started like any other, except that, that morning, you woke up with only one goal. You still had that sinister story of the labyrinths in your head, and you dedicated your always lonely morning to looking for some information around the house.
Your thirst for adventure was insatiable, even wandering alone through the halls of the mansion was an epic feat for you. Donna never minded you rummaging through her stuff, through her memories, as long as you did it with respect. And so you did, dusting off old books you barely understood.
While you were searching, you came across an old notebook that caught your attention, especially because of what was written in it: Fabrizio Beneviento (1878).
It looked like an old diary; a notebook as old as time, with its yellowed, delicate pages that seemed to want to fall apart among your fingers. Logically, it was the property of an ancestor of the lady in black, and the date coincided with the creation of the labyrinths. Your favorite novels were those about knights, but you didn't dislike detective stories at all.
“Oh, I have to ask Donna to teach me Italian, I don't understand anything,” you said with a confused grimace, trying to decipher what those old pages said.
After looking at those incomprehensible sentences in bewilderment, you finally found something, a name that you expected to read: Norshteyn.
“Bingo,” you said satisfied, marking the page and walking towards the workshop, where Donna was working, as always, on her dolls.
“Hey, silly!” Angie shouted, swinging her legs on a table while the lady worked, distracted by the shouts and shaking her head at you.
“Angie…” Donna murmured, dropping a paintbrush with a grimace of disgust. “You almost ruined my work.”
“Tell her, she interrupted you,” the doll said, pointing at you.
The lady smiled, shaking her head as you approached and gave her a quick kiss in greeting.
“Are you bored, tesoro?” she asked softly, smoothing your hair.
“No, not exactly,” you said triumphantly, holding up the notebook. “Look what I found. I think it belongs to a relative of yours… Fabrizio Beneviento.”
“Wow,” she sighed, studying the notebook. “Yes, he was my ancestor, what’s this about?”
“Look, in this part it talks about the labyrinths of that Norshteyn guy. It might say where the key is,” you said, pointing at the page. “But… I don’t understand what it says. Would my wonderful girlfriend be so kind as to translate it for me?”
Donna laughed, nodding with a slight blush on her cheek, looking down at the text.
“Let’s see…” she sighed, picking up the book. “There’s something about that man that makes me shudder, no matter how kind he was when he built that chest,” she began to read.
“I have a bad feeling about him. Maybe opening it is a bad idea, my legs shake every time I get close to that damn model. I have no way of knowing what evil powers will be unleashed if I let that key slide down the rails. I have enough problems already, it would be best to hide it, and I have the perfect place, under the tree in the nearby cabin.”
“Wow… is that what it says?” you asked expectantly.
“Uh-huh,” the lady said, turning the pages with curiosity.
“Great, great, we have to go to the cabin to look for the key,” you said excitedly, rubbing your hands. “Treasure, here I go…”
“Hey, stop, (Y/N), do you intend to go now? The sky is very dark, I fear a storm is approaching,” Donna said, closing the notebook and tilting her head.
“W-Well, then we better hurry up,” you said jumping. “Come on, Donna, let’s go…”
“Do I have to go with you?” the brunette asked, frowning and looking away at her dolls. “(Y/N), I'm working on…”
“Yes, yes… your dolls, I know,” you said looking up and putting your hands on her shoulders. “It'll just be a moment, besides we already know where it is.”
“No,” she said with a cold look, turning around and picking up the brush again.
“Donna…” you sighed disappointedly, waving your hands. “Don't be boring, come on, let's go…”
“Why don't you go by yourself?” she asked, annoyed by your insistence and the distraction you caused in her greatest passion.
“I…” you stammered, embarrassed.
No, you weren't a coward but… well, walking through that sinister forest, through that place in ruins… yes, it made you feel like a coward, but you weren't, really, you weren't…
“It's just that…” you whispered, dragging out your words. “I don't like walking alone through the forest. I'd rather you came with me, just in case.”
“Mm,” Donna murmured, dropping the brush again and crossing her arms. “I repeat the question, tesoro: why do you want me to go with you? I'm weak, remember?” she said, spitting out her words, telling you she hadn't forgotten the conversation from the day before.
“Oh, come on, I didn't mean it,” you said with a growl. “I'd feel safer if you were with me, because you could protect me, right?” you said, changing your tone from pleading to a slightly defiant one.
The lady in black abruptly stood up from her chair, clenching her fists on either side of her hips.
“Do you doubt that I can protect you?” she hissed with a dark look, one that betrayed that you had made an annoying insinuation.
“Mm, no,” you said, looking at your nails with disinterest. “But it would be a good occasion to prove it, don’t you think? Imagine if a lycan sneaks onto the grounds, or if I trip and fall and…”
“Ugh, basta. Va bene, va bene…” the doll maker growled, kicking the ground in a childish manner. “I’ll accompany you so you shut that big mouth, but not now, I’m busy. We’ll go this afternoon.”
“Mm, Donna,” you said with a triumphant smile, throwing yourself into her arms. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
“Lasciami, you always do whatever you want with me, tesoro,” she said with an amused smile, fighting against your tireless kisses.
“You're the best,” you whispered, giving her one last kiss on the cheek. “I'll leave you alone,” you said with a sweet voice walking out of the workshop.
“Finally!” the doll squealed.
“Angie…”
The adventure would have to wait, but only for a few hours. Donna kept her promise, walking with you through the forest again. The lady was right, the impending storm could even be smelled, but that didn't matter to you.
You dug in the indicated place, finally finding your prize, a ball decorated with the crest of the Beneviento family, the key that opened that mysterious labyrinth.
“I found it, look, it's cool,” you said, walking towards the lady, who was waiting impatiently, with her arms crossed.
“Mm, it's beautiful,” she said, studying the ball curiously, running her fingers over the engraving.
“Yeah, and now... let's play labyrinths and...” you said, approaching the shed triumphantly.
“Watch out for the ghost!” Angie shouted, which, along with a terrifying thunder that shook your insides, caused you to lose your balance with a cowardly scream.
“Shit!” you yelled, causing the ball to fall to the ground.
You bent down to pick it up, but at that moment a drop of ice-cold water fell on the tip of your nose, forcing you to look up.
“Does it have to be now?” you protested angrily, looking at the model out of the corner of your eye as Donna ran beside you. “Come on.”
“Let’s go home, tesoro, before we end up soaked,” she said, dragging you back to the mansion. “(Y/N)…”
“Jeez…” you sighed in disappointment, but at that moment, another thunderclap made you jump on the ground. “Uh… okay, good idea.”
Luckily the storm didn't reach you.
“Almost,” you sighed, closing the door of the mansion, holding the ball tightly. “Don't think you've beaten me, stupid ball… wait until tomorrow,” you hissed, putting it in your pocket.
“I better get dinner ready,” Donna murmured, watching the rain that was beginning to fall without remedy, making the sunset even darker.
“Wait, wait,” you said hurriedly, running next to her. “I'll go with you, so I can keep you company.”
“Do you want to see me cook?” she asked, letting your hands hug her waist.
You blushed and nodded effusively, kissing her slowly.
“Yes, I want to compensate you for having accompanied me,” you whispered, getting closer.
“I can think of better ways to do it. But it's fine for now,” Donna purred, tugging erotically at your lower lip and pulling away in an almost painful way.
After all, it was a fun afternoon. The two of you cooked together, laughed, kissed, almost let yourself be carried away by passion... Nothing could go wrong that night, nothing.
“I'll set the table,” you said, exiting the elevator with the lady.
She smiled in response, walking beside you towards the living room.
You hummed as you placed the cutlery in its place, glancing sideways at the open door to the hall. You turned your head without noticing a detail, and did so again abruptly when you noticed something was wrong. The entrance door was banging due to the wind, it was open.
“Um, Donna, did you open the door?” you asked with a frown, getting closer to the entrance.
“No, didn't you close it?” the lady asked, carefully correcting the places of the cutlery so everything looked perfect.
“Y-Yes,” you said nervous, confused, remembering that, indeed, you closed it. “I'm completely sure that I closed it.”
“Mm, it must have been the wind,” Donna commented.
“Anyway, I'm going to close it,” you finally sighed, approaching the entrance.
Just as you crossed the door to the hall, you felt a strong grip on your body, hands that grabbed you tightly and an arm around your neck. In front of you was what looked like a dagger, a knife, shining in the light of the mansion.
“Ah!” you screamed, struggling with that strength, with that arm that surrounded you.
“Shh, quiet,” a male voice threatened in your ear. “Walk.”
He looked like a man from the village because of his clothes, but his furious breathing told you that he was dangerous. Slowly, trapped like a hostage, you returned to the living room, trying to scream, with your mouth covered by the hand with the knife.
With a strong movement of your body, you managed to free yourself from his hand, and finally, scream.
“Donna!” you screamed, drawing the attention of the lady in black, who immediately turned around, opening her eye wide when she saw the scene. “Donn…” you couldn't scream again, as the edge of the knife dug into your throat.
“Silence,” that man said, wet from the rain, roaring like a beast eager for blood. “Don't move, you weirdo,” he said to Donna, you suspected with a sinister smile.
The lady didn't move an inch. She just stared at the aggressor, without saying a single word, coldly.
“That's it, very good,” he hissed satisfied, pulling you to expose your throat even more. “Good girl.”
“Donna, please…” you whispered pleadingly when you saw your girlfriend's calm, a calm that began to make you nervous. “Donna…”
“Shh, shut up,” the man demanded, pressing the knife harder into your skin. “Cooperate and I won't do anything to you, little bird… I haven't come for you, but for her.”
“Dare to do something to my Donna's girlfriend, you bastard!” Angie threatened, immediately reassured by a fleeting glance from the lady.
“Oh, is she your girlfriend?” the attacker sang. “You have good taste, I admit it, a shame it's your last day with her.”
“Let me go!” you shrieked, trying to free yourself from the grip.
“You think you're very important, don't you? You and that gang of monsters,” the man said, ignoring your protests.
Donna raised her chin, but once again, she remained motionless.
“You've been desecrating this village with your lies and demonic blasphemies, but it's over. I won't allow it, I'll finish you off. I advise you to behave yourself, Beneviento, or else I'll hurt this beauty, what do you say? Will you let me finish you off?”
“Donna, for the Gods' sake, help me,” you said angrily, frustrated.
“You're not going to do anything to the girl,” the brunette finally said, walking a step closer to you.
“How bold for a nutcase like you,” he mocked, making you feel a stab of pain in your throat as you felt the knife graze your skin. “Don't take another step, monster, or the girl dies.”
“The girl won't die,” Donna said, getting a little closer, darkening her gaze and raising a hand towards you. “You will.”
“You wanted it…” the man hissed, suddenly loosening his grip. “What? What?!” he shrieked as he looked at his own hand.
Taking advantage of that moment, you broke free with a push, running into the arms of your beloved.
“Tutto bene, (Y/N)?” Donna asked in a whisper, holding you against her chest.
You nodded on the verge of panic, not letting the lady's body go.
“No, no…” the man murmured, scratching his skin with the knife, trying to get rid of something. “Take it off!”
“Don't look,” Donna told you, turning your head towards her clothes, holding you tightly against her as she raised her hand again.
“You can't!” he shrieked, desperate, along with a horrible sound of something breaking, it sounded like bones.
You heard something fall to the wooden floor, the knife. Curious and nervous, you shifted to observe, though you wished you hadn't.
The attacker's arm was twisted, completely out of place, surely broken.
“No, no! Don't make me do this!” he pleaded, falling to the floor on his knees, while his good hand hit it, twisting until that horrible crunch attacked your ears again. “Ah, Gods, no! Forgive me, my lady! No, please!”
“You threatened (Y/N), my family,” the lady whispered, with a tone that gave chills. “You have to pay for it.”
“No, no!” he screamed, desperate, involuntarily hitting his head against the wood. “No, take it away from me! They're going to eat my brain! No, out, out!”
“Do you want me to stop?” the lady asked, while hugging you with a sinister smile.
The man, terribly wounded, stood up fighting against invisible enemies, barely able to move, throwing a chair in front of him.
“Leave me alone, damn it! You won't take me alive!” he screamed for the last time, letting himself fall backwards, hitting his neck on the chair with a last terrible crunch, ceasing to scream, to exist.
“It's over, (Y/N),” the lady said, hugging your face while you squeezed your eyes shut tightly. “That's it, tesoro... shh...”
“D-Donna, he was going to kill me, he was going to...” you said sobbing in fear, with the lady in black controlling your tremors as best she could.
You turned your head to look at your attacker, with his neck dislocated in the chair, with a look of terror that you would dream about for several nights.
“H-He's… dead,” you murmured scared. “He's dead,” you repeated nervously, shaking your head.
“No, tesoro, don't look, look at me, come on,” Donna said, guiding your gaze away from the corpse. “(Y/N)…”
“D-Donna…” you sobbed again, breathing heavily, in shock and disobeying the lady's orders, turning your head again and growling in rage. “You son of a bitch!” you screamed, breaking free from your girlfriend's grip and walking towards the body, kicking it in a crazy way. “Bastard!”
“Hey, hey, tesoro, stop, please,” the lady said, grabbing you to get you away from the attacker, having to fight with your kicks. “Enough, it's over, he won't hurt you anymore.”
“Donna, he was going to kill me,” you cried, in a terrible panic attack, clinging to the Lord’s clothes while soaking them with your tears. “He was going to kill me…”
She sighed and kissed your head while still hugging you, rocking your body in a comforting way.
“Don't cry,” Donna whispered. “Don't cry, please…”
“He was going to kill me,” you repeated, unable to say anything else until you regained some consciousness, enough to realize what had happened. “He was going to kill me and now… now he's dead,” you gasped, opening your eyes wide and moving away from her embrace. “He's dead… You, you killed him, you killed that man,” you stammered pointing at the lady, who shook her head.
“Tesoro, I had to do it, he was going to hurt you,” she excused herself, trying to get you closer to her again, something that, due to shock and nerves, you rejected with a step back.
“Donna, you killed a person,” you repeated passing a hand over your forehead.
“I was protecting you, don't you understand? I… Oh, cazzo… Listen to me, amore mio… I didn't want to…”
“You tortured him and then you killed him, Donna,” you said nervously, shaking your head. “Gods…”
“What did you want me to do? He had a knife at your damn throat!” she shrieked, with a crazy look. “I… I-I'm, sorry, I… per favore, tesoro, don't be afraid of me. I promise I'm not a monster, please…”
“No, Donna,” you said in a calmer tone, with the panic fading from your mind and body. “I'm not afraid of you, I… Donna, my love, you saved me. Oh, Donna,” you sighed, running back to her side, hugging her tightly.
“(Y/N)…”
“Donna, my love, thank you so much, thank you for saving me,” you sobbed, burying your face in her dress. “You saved me…”
“Calm down, stop crying, (Y/N),” the lady said, putting a hand on your shoulder and looking at you closely. “Oh, you have a wound on your neck…” she sighed, staining her finger with your blood. “Come, sit down, I… will make some calls to clean this up and then I will heal you, okay? Just, just relax.”
You let yourself be guided by her and obeyed, giving one last look to the lifeless attacker, a look devoid of fear, full of hate. He got what he deserved, you were convinced.
Soon after, Heisenberg appeared to clean up the mess, and finally, with your nerves completely calm, you could breathe and think coldly about everything that had happened. You were completely wrong about Donna. She seemed the weakest of the four, but she wasn't, now you knew.
Mind control, tormenting someone to the point of forcing them to end their life, was perhaps not the physical strength and power you admired, but it was, without a doubt, the most dangerous skill. Isolated from the world around you, you fantasized about what had happened, imagining Donna as one of those knights who rescued damsels in distress, as your savior, the woman who would always protect you, always.
That childish thought at first turned into something more due to euphoria, something you weren't sure you could control.
“It's nothing serious, just a scratch,” the lady murmured as she passed a cotton ball over your wound, in a silent moment, warm in a certain way. “Are you feeling better?”
“Yes,” you said, taking a breath as you endured that sting. “Better than ever.”
“Mm, you must be in shock,” she commented, caressing your cheek. “Ascoltami, (Y/N), you have to understand that I did it for you, to save you. If I lost you… I don’t know what would become of me, do you understand?”
“Yes, I understand,” you said with a smile that made the brunette frown and held your face a tighter.
“You understand… fine,” Donna sighed, letting your face go and finishing healing your wound. “I would understand that you were afraid of me, maybe I would prefer that you continue thinking that I am weak,” she whispered amused, kissing your forehead affectionately.
“I have never really thought that way,” you said due to the sudden heat of your body. “Besides, I don’t need a huge monster to protect me, with you it is more than enough. I’m safe with you, right?”
“Yes, of course you are. I will always protect you, no matter what,” she whispered, getting dangerously close to your lips, leaving them at the mercy of yours, which were quick to take advantage of the situation and kiss them deeply.
“Mm,” you murmured at the lady's confused attitude towards your kisses, but without giving her much time to react. “So... are you like my savior knight?”
“Do I look like a knight to you?” she joked, playing along, returning those increasingly wet kisses.
“Mm, no, I would never do this to a knight,” you purred, leaving her lips aside, kissing her neck as you pushed her against the couch, climbing up her hips.
“(Y/N), what are you doing?” she asked at your sudden attack of lust, but not resisting at all. “I think you should rest.”
“No, no, Donna... a damsel in distress should be grateful, don't you think?” you whispered in her ear, biting her lobe, tearing a gasp from her lips as your hand ran over her chest, passively playing with the buttons of her dress.
“No, I… I'm altruistic, I just do it for love,” she said, her words clumsy, with a nervous smile at your touch, your wet kisses on her skin, the subtle sway of your hips.
“Then you will receive love,” you hissed, capturing her lips to silence her reluctance, leaving her completely still, leaving your savior without any chance of saving herself.
The kisses echoed off the walls, the euphoria drove you crazy, making you much more mischievous, fighting against her tongue in a fair battle while her hands delighted in your skin, slipping through the slits of your dress, squeezing, scratching, possessing…
“Mm, Donna,” you said, looking at the confused but visibly nervous lady, with her skin burning under the subtle touch of your lips, under the soft caresses of your fingertips on her neck. “My lady, allow me to kneel…”
You whispered in her ear, getting up to carry out your threat, letting your knees rest on the wooden floor as your hands became vines on her legs, under her dress, making her tremble.
“(Y/N), it's not the time, I…” she said, without moving away from the poison ivy that spread across her skin, those stinging leaves that dug into her flesh as they climbed helplessly, as they pulled up the black fabric to keep it out of your sight.
Ignoring those weak complaints, you reached her thighs, locking your eyes on hers, looking for a cowardly and silent approval, the trembling of her body, a subtle moan when your hand ran over her telltale wetness through the underwear.
“Cazzo…” she cursed, looking away, embarrassed, shy as always, but excited as never.
A sinister, menacing smile spread across your face as your lips distracted the doll maker, running over the places marked by your nails, kissing, tasting her warm skin.
Your hands, knowing that Donna was too busy with the pleasure your kisses gave her, the tickling your lips did to her skin, took advantage of that confusion, those pleasurable moans that came out of her mouth, to pull at the edges of the garment that covered her shame, sliding it elegantly down her legs, which didn’t resist.
“(Y/N)…” the lady moaned when she noticed you were getting closer, that your kisses and your body were moving towards her. “Gods…”
Your hands played their role well, slightly separating the brunette's legs while grabbing her flesh, while your mouth salivated at the sight of her shiny wetness in front of you, with her arousal clouding all your senses.
You didn't want to waste time, and you immersed yourself in her, kissing and savoring her essence in a delicate way, adoring her flavor, her skin, the moisture that permeated your impatient lips.
“Mm, delicious, Donna,” you moaned sensually, running your tongue through her folds, making her shudder, her hands going wild, tangling in your hair, holding you on her body. “Do you want me to stop?”
“No,” she said with a voice broken by pleasure, closing her eye from the embarrassment of the situation, from the carefully studied movements of your lips on hers.
Donna moaned, writhing when the kisses attacked her clit, her most sensitive area, licking, sucking, moving in circles like a slow and wet dance, a delicate and cautious dance that drew from her lips the most beautiful melodies you had ever heard.
Her moans stopped being harmonious, becoming a kind of claim, a demand for you to increase your speed, to be constant and never abandon her. That was always Donna's greatest fear, that you would abandon her, no matter in what sense.
She was your savior, your protector, your refuge, your inspiration, she was everything to you and you to her.
How could she not protect her most precious possession? She would do it fiercely, she would always do it, because she loved you. Thinking about that protection only gave you more pleasure. It tempted you to stimulate yourself, to be selfish, but you were always strong against impulses.
Your kisses, the caresses of your tongue, the union of your fingers to that wet gratitude were too much for you, but they were also a reward, an act of love, of promises that would always be fulfilled, of passion, of lust, of madness, of moans and supplications… Donna and you, you and Donna, Lord and villager, knight and damsel, love and lust.
“Per, per favore… don’t stop now,” the lady said, panting nervously when you dared to enter, when your fingers slid along her walls while your tongue was unable to speak, being too busy with her taste, with her movements, with the beauty of her trembling body. “Sto per venire…”
“Oh, my love…” you sighed, laughing tenderly, granting your savior the gift of release, curling inside her, feeling her body demand your presence, squeezing you without wanting to let you go.
Donna screamed and you did too against her skin. Her body moved uncomfortably from the waves of pleasure and the moisture was already part of your mouth. Her arousal slipped from your lips, her movements stimulated your own lust, making you moan in unison.
“Donna…” you said with a kind look, leaning on her knees as she recovered from her well-deserved orgasm. “You will always protect me, right?”
“Always…”

Are You Flirting With Me? Sanji x Reader (OPLA)
Sanji is a known flirt around all women, but y/n isn't sure if he's flirting with her or not and they confront them. Sanji x Female Reader
Y/N
Sanji was a very confusing man. He was a shameless flirt and ladies' man, fawning over every girl who crossed his path. Nami said he was all over her when they first went to The Baratie and had continued his ways since joining the crew. But when you joined the crew after they beat Arlong Sanji was odd, initially flirting and complimenting you, but after a couple of months, he seemingly stopped but continued with Nami and the other girls.
It didn't bother you at first, it was a nice break. You didn't have body issues, in fact, you liked how you looked and took care of your image, and before you left your island to join Luffy you'd been proposed to twice. But now when you look in a mirror you start to notice small flaws in your appearance. You hated what you were becoming, you had to get off the ship and away from the blonde cook for a bit.
With one last look in the small mirror by your hammock you throw it against the wall and watch it smash into tiny pieces on the floor, 'stupid cook,' you hiss.
Grabbing your jacket you leave the sleeping quarters and head back up onto deck.
'Y\N DINNERS READY!' Usopp calls out from the deck above.
You wave him off, 'I'm not hungry, I'm going to head into town for a bit.'
Before Usopp can say anything you're already walking down the gangplank.
SANJI
'Where's y/n?' Nami asks as Usopp comes back into the kitchen frowining.
I finish plating up y/n's food and put it down in their usual spot next to mine.
'She said she wasn't hungry and was going into town, looked upset,' Usopp answers.
Nami slams her hands down on the table, 'WHICH ONE OF YOU UPSET Y/N?'
The four of us share looks at one another, trying to figure out the answer, but no one comes forward to admit to doing anything wrong. It couldn't possibly be me because y/n and I had developed a close bond, the only girl seemingly immune to my flirting but still played along and gave me compliments when the rest of the crew wouldn't. Maybe I'd check on them after dinner.
TIME SKIP
There weren't many places to go in this town and I found y/n in the first tavern nursing what looked to be their third beer.
'What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?' I joke, and sit down next to them.
y/n doesn't even look at me as they reply, 'Are you...flirting with me?'
'Gods no! What gave you that idea?' I say, a little shocked.
y/n shrugs their shoulders, '...I mean...have you heard yourself talk around girls?'
I order a beer and bump my shoulder with y/n's, 'I've been told, look at you y/n, even with my flirting you looked past that and actually wanted to get to know me.'
y/n's head snaps in my direction their eyes wide, 'so that's why you stopped? You don't think I'm ugly.'
I shake my head, 'You're beautiful y/n. Wait is this why you're upset?'
y/n nods and faceplants the bar top grumbling. After a minute or two y/n explains how they thought they were ugly because I stopped flirting with them while continuing to do it with Nami and other girls around them. y/n was embarrassed, but I had to admit I was also in the wrong for not noticing my actions around them.
'I'm sorry Sanji,' y/n mutters.
I smile and throw an arm around their shoulder, 'I'm sorry to y/n. Trust me you're not ugly, because whenever we dock somewhere the guys and I have to keep guys away from you. Now I managed to save you a plate before Luffy could eat it if you're still hungry.'
y/n leans into me and smiles, 'You are the best cook I know. Thank you for coming after me Sanji, it means a lot.'
The two of us finish our drinks and leave the tavern, y/n holding onto me as they stumble having drunk on an empty stomach.
'On a scale of one to ten, you're a nine, and I'm the one you need,' I say seriously, but wiggle my eyebrows at them.
y/n bursts into laughter, 'Never change Sanji.'
From now on I would try and find the right balance because I never wanted to lose y/n.

You stand, tearing up as you lock eyes with Schlatt, who looks equally ruined. The crowd's cheers fade into background noise as you stare at one another.
"Flordia is so warm," You laugh into the phone, the warmth of the sun filtering through your window as you describe the balmy air.
"Yeah," Ted agrees, "But I think the worst part is the humidity. It just clings to you."
You groan, "The humidity is sinister. It feels so heavy, you know? And I've genuinely been worried for the audience at my shows," You frown a little, "But I hope the water I have them pass out makes it a little bit better."
Ted runs a hand through his hair, "Yeah, I can't imagine what that's like."
"I've been drinking so much, Teddy." You whine, feeling dehydration grasp at your throat.
There's a lull in the conversation—a thick silence of uncertainty, "How... how's Schlatt?" You tentatively ask, voice laced with curiosity.
"You can ask him that yourself. You know that."
You grimace, feeling a knot form in your stomach, "It just feels so strange. I dunno, I feel like he hates me."
Ted sighs, "How many times do we need to go over this? He doesn't hate you."
"How can you be so sure?" You ask, nervously chewing on your lip as you fidget with your hands.
"Because," Ted replies with a steady tone that borders on parental, "He doesn't shut up about you. He misses you, Y/n. And I know you miss him too."
"What am I supposed to say? 'Hey, Schlatt. I know we haven't talked in forever, but do you want to catch up?'" You reply with embarrassment.
"Yeah, that's exactly what you're supposed to say," He states matter-of-factly.
"But, Teddy," You groan, dread creeping in, "That's so embarrassing!"
Ted sighs, "I assure you it's not. He wants to talk to you."
"Then why hasn't he reached out to me?" You question as a pang of unresolved tension hits you in the chest.
Ted is silent, the weight of the unanswered question lingering in the stagnant, humid air. He doesn't have an answer.
You let out a resigned sigh, "I've gotta go."
"It was nice talking to you, and hey, break a leg," He says with a warm voice of support.
"Thank you, Teddy. It was nice talking to you, too," You reply, feeling a mixture of gratitude and frustration as the call ends.
"I need to break up with Kaleb," You mutter, absent-mindedly poking at your breakfast. Sunlight pours through the window, illuminating Schlatt's face.
Schlatt rolls his eyes dramatically, "I despise that guy. I was so upset when I saw you two were together."
You raise your eyebrow, a coy smile playing on your lips, "Really?" You ask as warmth flutters through your chest at his words.
Schlatt scoffs, leaning back in his chair, "'Course I was. He took my pretty girl away from me. Oh, and don't even get me started on his Instagram stories," He adds, tone becoming mockingly dramatic.
"Oh, I never look at those."
"It's for the better," He replies as a smirk ghosts his lips.
"Why? Do I look bad in them?"
He shakes his head, a genuine smile breaking through, "You could never look bad, pretty girl."
His words hang in the air, warm and reassuring.
"Hun, what's wrong?" Jess asks, her voice filled with concern as she strides over to you.
"Just..." You sigh, letting your thoughts swirl uncontrollably, "A lot going on in my mind."
She side-hugs you, radiating a sense of warmth, "You can always talk to me, hun. You know that, right?"
Her southern drawl, melodic and sweet, never fails to make you smile, "I know, Jess. Thank you." You appreciate her unwavering support more than you could ever express.
"Now!" She claps your shoulder, eyes full of whimsy and encouragement, "Go out there and shine like the star you are!"

Tonight's performance was particularly tough. People loved Forbidden Love so much that you added it to your setlist, and as the familiar melody fills the air, you can't help but continue your newfound tradition of scanning the crowd for Schlatt. You yearn for the moment your eyes meet his, but he's not there. He never is.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
Schlatt sits in his office watching a live stream of your concert. He's been seeing you all over social media, and there are rumors you're dating again. Some guy named Oliver, and Schlatt has to imagine the worst—has to assume you're dating him.
He has your number; he can call you and find out. He won't. Despite everything Ted says about how you miss him, he tells himself you hate him.
He tears up as you sing Forbidden Love, hating how the crowd sings along like they know what it's about—like they could ever understand.
"We're all over Twitter," You giggle, holding up your phone to show Schlatt.
As he leans in closer, he taps on a post—a candid shot of you, captured mid-gaze, completely enamored as you watch Schlatt while you sing 'Forbidden Love' at your last concert.
"This song—it's about..." He looks into your eyes, sincerity reflecting back into his, "Is it about me?"
You nod with a racing heart, "Of course it's about you."
When you return to your hotel room, you sit on your bed and stare at his contact.
Jay <3
The heart taunts you, a relentless reminder of the possibilities that slipped through your fingers, leaving you with a lingering sense of what could have been given everything worked out. But it didn't. With a sigh, you set your phone down and turn away from its dimly lit screen as you make your way to the bathroom. Eager for a moment of solace, you anticipate the warm water of a hot shower to cascade over you, hoping it will wash away the remnants of doubt and regret you always seemed to feel.
"I found a new manager," You smile as you sit on the couch next to Schlatt.
He lights up, "You did?" "Yeah," You smile, "Her name is Jess. I think she's going to be a good fit."
"No more fake boyfriends?" Schlatt laughs, but a sense of seriousness fills his tone.
"No. Only real ones from now on," You smile at him, and a warm spark of excitement ignited deep within Schlatt's heart, filling him with an unfamiliar sense of anticipation.
You lay in bed, remembering how Schlatt cared for you that first night you went to his place—how he held you so gently as you walked. A gentle hand that cradled your hip to keep you steady. You remember how his demeanor changed for the first time—how he looked at you with so much adoration. You remember how he cared so deeply.
You turn on your side, pulling the soft blankets closer around you, and gently close your eyes. A sigh escapes you as you surrender to the stillness of the room, willing sleep to come. In the quiet darkness, you hope for dreams filled with him so you can remember what it's like to hear his voice again—what it's like to see that look in his eyes. And as you drift off, you allow your mind to wander through those soft, lovely moments together, desperately clinging to the hope that tonight, you can touch the fragments of your past with him once more.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
You groan as your alarm blares, willing you to wake up.
"Five more minutes," You murmur, though you're not sure why—there's nobody there.
After hitting the snooze button on your alarm about five times, you finally sit up, wincing as a sharp pain throbs in your temples. Cradling your forehead, you get out of bed and head to the bathroom. As you look in the mirror, you struggle to recognize the person staring back at you. The light in your eyes has dimmed, and you often feel sluggish. Your thoughts drift back to your last week in Austin.
You sit at a table in the hotel lobby across from Schlatt, "I leave in a week," You mutter softly, looking into your cup.
Schlatt frowns, and his tone is so genuine you feel like you might cry, "I don't want you to."
"I don't want to either, but I have to continue my tour," You look at him, thoughts swirling in your mind, "What if you came with me?"
You walk back to your bed and pick up your phone. Unlocking it, you're met with his contact glaring at you.
Jay <3
You swipe to your home screen and sigh.
Schlatt gives you an apologetic look, and you can sense the rejection before he even opens his mouth, "My whole life is here. I—" He sighs, "I can't just up and leave Austin. It's my home."
You solemnly look back into your cup, "You're right. I guess I didn't think about that."
You shake your head. You can't afford distractions today.
"What's goin' on with you, hon?" Jess asks backstage.
"I miss him." You reply.
"Who?" She asks before a look of realization settles on your face, "Oh, that boy, right? The one you keep talkin' about?"
You nod.
"Call him up, hon. No point in wallowing in your sadness."
You sigh, slumping further into the makeup chair, "But I can't have him reject me again. What if he doesn't pick up?"
She rubs small circles on your back, "Then he's not worth your time or energy. Okay?"
You nod, "Okay."
"Now? What are you going to do?"
You smile, "Go out there and shine like the star I am."
She claps your back with a grin, "Atta girl!"
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
After the concert, you trudge back to your dressing room, practically collapsing on the small loveseat from exhaustion. You pull out your phone and open Instagram, trying to focus on anything other than Schlatt. But to your luck, his story is the first one on your feed. Too tired to know any better, you press on his icon, smiling as you see a picture of him and Jambo.
Schlatt opens Instagram. He sighs as he refreshes your page, desperate for some sort of contact with you—one-sided or not. To his dissatisfaction, nothing new pops up, and he sighs. Bored, he checks the stats on his story, muttering about how stupid it was to have stats anyway, but he stops his mini rant when he sees your profile picture as one of the people who viewed his story.
"Holy shit," He murmurs.
He stays up the rest of the night, unable to sleep due to thoughts of you plaguing his mind.
Regret fills you as you realize what you've done as you tell yourself he hates you, but then those words echo in your mind.
"I could never hate you, pretty girl."
Never hate you.
And you try so hard to believe it, to recount those exact words, but for some reason, your brain tells you it's all a lie.
"Oliver, I don't know what to do," You mutter to your friend.
Oliver shrugs, "I've told you all I can. Call him."
"What if he hates me?" You whine, dramatically throwing your head into your hands.
"He doesn't hate you," Oliver tries reassuring, but it feels like a fruitless endeavor.
You take a deep breath as you try to calm the pool of anxiety growing in your chest at the thought of talking to Schlatt, "But what if he doesn't want to talk to me? What if I ruined everything?"
"Sometimes you have to take risks," Oliver replies, "You won't know unless you try."
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
The more Schlatt sees you and Oliver all over the media, the more agitated he grows. His finger hovers over the call button, the screen lighting up his face. He's so close to tapping that stupid phone symbol, the one he's sat and stared at for hours on end, but he throws his phone onto the couch, groaning as he stands up.
"Get it together, man," He grumbles, "She's just a girl."
But, in the back of his mind, he knows you're more than that. You're more than "just a girl." You made him feel something he's never felt before, and at first, it was uncomfortable. He hated it, so he hated you, but then the feeling settled in his chest, and it felt warm—you felt warm. Your giggles were sweet as they bubbled up from your chest, and the creaking of the floorboards as he walks over to his couch sharply contrasts with those memories of your laughter—of your voice. How you used to light up a room with your smile, how you smelled—all these small rememberings he can feel slipping through his fingers with each passing second he doesn't have you.
He sits down on the couch, picking up his phone. Your contact stares back at him, and he decides he's finally going to message you.
'So what's up with this Oliver guy?' He types out, thumb hovering over the send arrow. Rereading the message, Schlatt grimaces as shame bubbles up from deep within his gut.
'I hope the tour's going well,' No—too impersonal.
He thinks for a second about what he actually wants to say to you, 'I miss you so much, pretty girl, and it's killing me to pretend I don't.'
He stares at the text, reading it over and over again. Pretending? Is that what he's doing?
So he edits it, 'I miss you so much, pretty girl, and it's killing me that I keep ignoring you.' But he hates how that reads, so he deletes the message altogether.
Finally, he types out a simple: 'Hey,'
But even that feels like too much, so he highlights the message, pressing delete for the final time that night.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
You sit alone in another hotel room, staring at the abstract painting hanging across your bed. It's the kind of still that's more oppressive than peaceful. Picking up your phone, you stare at yourself in the reflection of the black screen. The bustling city life seems so distant as you swipe up and scroll to Schlatt's contact. You feel cut off from the loud traffic and neon lights as you picture him, maybe nursing a drink as he sits on the couch, laughing at an old re-run of a cartoon he loved when he was younger.
The thought leaves a bittersweet ache in your heart. You can almost hear his laugh, grounding you in a way nothing ever has before. But then you look down at your screen, seeing the time stamp of your last message, and you sigh.
You replay your last interaction for the hundredth time, looking for something you might have missed—some sign that he wants you to reach out. But all you can recall is his faint, ambivalent smile as he waved goodbye to you.
'Hi, Jay, I've missed you,' You almost hit send, but your heartbeat spikes and you delete the message.
'Hope you're well!' But that sounds so disingenuous.
Lastly, you type out a simple: 'How are you?' But you remember something he confessed as you cared for him while he was half asleep and tipsy.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
"You want to hear a secret?" He quietly mumbles as you lead him to his bed.
"Sure," You amusedly reply. "I'm scared of new things. I prefer to keep things the same."
You pause, tilting your head thoughtfully, "If things never change, how can you hope to grow—to reach any destination in life?"
He's silent as he takes in the weight of your words, not having an answer.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
You'd be selfish to reach out. He's living his calm, peaceful life, and you would be disturbing that. The words "I can't just up and leave Austin" taunt you as they echo in your mind. You think about the implications of your actions—how your longing to reconnect might disturb the tranquility he's built. Part of you yearns to reach out—to bridge the gap, share more moments and stolen glances, but you know the risk it carries. o you put your phone down and let the silence settle in your bones as you rest your head in your hands. He deserves peace, and your life isn't peaceful. Not for him—not for anyone, so you close your eyes and tell yourself it's for the best, even if the ache in your heart says otherwise.
Schlatt wakes up, the harsh morning light filtering through the windows. He rubs his eyes, attempting to shake off the remnants of sleep. A familiar pang of stillness crashes over him as he sits up like a strong wave does a rock on the beach. It feels overwhelming—knowing that this ache continues to grow with each passing day you weren't there.
The silence in the room feels heavy, amplified by the absence of your laughter and the warmth of your presence. He looks around his room, taking in the familiar surroundings that now feel eerily different. Walls that once echoed with shared conversations now stand silent while the air stays stagnant with fading memories. Taking a deep breath, he wonders if the day holds any promise of change or if it'll just be another reminder of what he lost.
Out of habit, he checks your page. Surprised to see a new post, he clicks on it, swiping to see the pictures of fans dressed for your concert. The excitement from each person is nearly tangible, and he remembers what it was like to see you for the first time—how he ended up watching in admiration as he tried to convince Ted he hated the performance. Then he swipes to a picture of you; you're smiling, bathed in pink lights, as you sing to a roaring crowd. He feels a smile filled with admiration tug at his lips as he goes to comment.
'Looks like you're enjoying yourself,'
Then he stares at the screen until the words just look like letters—pointless letters, and deletes the message. Something feels off—wrong, even. Here he was, sitting in Austin while you were out there, miles away, selling out stadiums. What would you do with a comment from him? Would you even care? His words felt meaningless and small, like they wouldn't even register in your busy life.
And he knows that one message—a single crumb from you—would turn his life upside down. Maybe that's why he avoids messaging you. Schlatt's life is slow and steady, and he's comfortable with it. He likes waking up and doing his routine. He likes feeding his cats and lazing around. He thinks about you—about how grand your life is, and he sighs. He would just be holding you back, and a sharp pang of fear rises in him. Tilting his head back, he stares at the ceiling, knowing he can't have it both ways—knowing he has to choose you or stability. But he's not ready to let go of either.
But as the days gradually shift into weeks and the weeks seamlessly blend into months, you and Schlatt both find yourselves caught in this unrelenting cycle. Every day feels like a mirror that reflects the last, and the rhythm of your routines becomes monotonous backdrops to your lives. The world around you continues to change, but you remain in this endless loop where time seems to lose its meaning, and every moment stretches on indefinitely.
You sit backstage, and the usual symphony of noises around you feel distant—like you're underwater, trying to listen to those calling to you from the shore. Someone is talking—maybe your manager—but the words pass by you in a blur, barely registering. All you can focus on is the aching desire to check your phone again, as if this time, by some miracle, you would find something different.
Your fingers fidget with the skin around your nails, picking at the rough edges in a small attempt to ground yourself. But it doesn't help alleviate the familiar ache that twists in your chest each time you open Schlatt's profile and scan the screen for any sign of life—any hint that he still thinks of you. But there's nothing, just the same posts from weeks ago, like his life is paused—like he's frozen in time.
People move around you, exchanging laughter and energy, but you sit still, unable to shake the uncomfortable feeling of his absence gnawing away at you. It's as if he's slipped away, and the only pieces left of him are the memories you cling to and the photos on his page that you've already memorized.
Taking a deep breath, you tuck your phone away, attempting to be present. But your gaze still wanders, sweeping the room as if, by some chance, he'd be there—as if he'd somehow find his way back into your world. But all you find is emptiness, a quiet reminder of what isn't there. And in that space, the ache settles deeper, making a permanent home in your heart.
'Goodbye.'
The word hangs in the air, loaded with uncertainty. What does it truly mean? Does it signify that he's vanishing from the online world just as he has from your personal one? Or is it a final farewell that suggests you'll never see his face again?
You finally muster the courage to watch the video, and a swirl of confusion envelops you as he passionately bashes Texas—his disdain for Austin palpable. The haunting phrase, "I can't just up and leave Austin," reverberates in your mind, and a visceral sense of betrayal hits you like a semi-truck, leaving you reeling from the unexpected revelation. You feel frozen as you sit and watch him talk about needing a change—about how Austin is dull and lifeless.
Your mind reels while your heart pounds in your chest.
"Fellas, I'm goin' back home."
But isn't that what he called Austin? Didn't he call it home? When you'd asked him to join you on tour and invited him into your life, he said Austin was his home, that he couldn't abandon it. The life he'd made, the stability, the routine were his reasons for staying behind—the reasons he chose not to be with you.
Yet here he was, casually announcing that he was leaving it all behind. For New York, without a word to you.
He told you he couldn't make that type of change, and you'd stupidly believed him. You accepted stability was what he needed—what kept him grounded—so you let him go, thinking it was better than pushing him out of his comfort zone. But it turns out he'd been willing to leave it all—just not for you.
You click your phone off, and the sudden absence of sound intensifies the silence around you. It feels deafening as your thoughts swirl chaotically. Hurt and anger intertwine to create a tumultuous mix that you can't ignore. Images flash through your mind—his laughter during the moments you shared now overshadowed by the realization that he's moving on, and he's doing it without you. He's actively chosen a path that doesn't have you in it. And the knowledge that he's opened a new chapter free from the weight of your shared history hits you hard as the ache in your chest deepens, and you wonder how he can carry on so easily without looking back. You stare at the ceiling, eyes filled with tears heavy with all the words you'd never get to say to him.
The light of dawn that filters through the curtains awakes you, and you squint against the brightness. Rubbing your puffy eyes, you slowly sit up while feeling the heaviness of a restless night's sleep still clinging to you.
You dread today.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
The airport is full of motion as travelers weave through the chaos, only focusing on reaching their destination. Schlatt leans against the pillar of a small Café, hands stuffed into the pockets of his hoodie as he waits for his flight. He's in no rush as the plane for his connecting flight to New York wouldn't even arrive for another two hours. The noise of static that rolls through the intercom as announcements are made and the clacking of flight attendant's high heels fade into the background as he people-watches, gaze unfocused until something—someone—catches his eye.
You.
Schlatt instinctively straightens as he feels a sharp, unexpected jolt course through his body and settle in his heart. You walk towards a gate on the far side of the terminal, and the curve of your face is distinct and unmistakable, even in the crowd surrounding you. You look tired, shoulders slouched ever so slightly, but there's still something purposeful in the way you move.
He feels frozen, feet refusing to carry him closer to you. His mind races, caught somewhere between relief and panic as he wonders why you're here. And then it clicks—New York, of course. He saw it on your schedule weeks ago during a moment of weakness when he scrolled through the updates he told himself he didn't care about. He swallows hard as you stop to adjust your bag, tilting your head to check the departure board. For a split second, he wonders if you're looking for him—if, somehow, you know he's here. But your gaze sweeps right past him, and the sharp pang of being invisible to you lodges itself deep in his chest.
He could walk up to you, but what would he say? That he's been watching from a distance, too scared to reach out—too worried to know if you'd still want him in your life? The words burn his throat like acid. So he stays rooted to the spot, hidden among the hundreds of travelers. His jaw tightens as he watches you fidget with the strap of your bag—a small habit he knows all too well. You look lovely, even in your quiet unease, making him hate himself a little more than before.
An announcement jolts him from his trance, and he watches you walk toward your gate, feeling the distance between you stretch with every step.
He turns back to the cafe, staring blankly at the menu, pretending he hadn't just seen the one person he wanted most leave his life for the second time.
The crowd roars as the lights dim. You stand behind the curtain, heart pounding in time with the rhythm of the cheers.
New York—the city that never sleeps.
You smooth out your outfit one last time before the curtains part. You're blinded by the stage lights as the crowd's roar becomes deafening.
After finishing Corner Store, you smile, letting the crowd's energy wash over you as you step into the spotlight.
"New York City," You call into the mic, "It's so good to be here tonight."
The response is electric as cheers and applause fill the stadium. Schlatt is on your mind, and you feel like you're back in Los Angeles, performing that first night when all you could think about was that mysterious, mean man at the party. You hope history will repeat itself as you scan the crowd for him once again.
The possibility pulls at you while hope flickers in your chest. You told yourself to expect nothing, but the ache of missing him seems to be louder than the crowd as they chant your song.
Pink lights reflect off countless smiling faces, but none of them are his signature smirk. Your throat tightens as you continue to perform—continue to smile, but your heart sinks lower with each verse.
He's not here.
You try to shake the thought away—you can't afford distractions. You can never afford distractions. But the memories of his laugh, his voice, how he'd call you pretty girl like it was your name—it's all too much, overwhelming you.
You reach Forbidden Love, and you step away from the mic, letting the crowd sing for you. The sound surges as thousands of voices fill the space. You take the short moment to look over them again, searching for Schlatt.
All you find are strangers.
The realization hits you hard, and a pang of loneliness cuts through the adrenaline. He's not here. He's not in the crowd—he isn't waiting for you after the show. He's in a world far from your own, and for the first time in months, your voice falters as you sing.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
Backstage, the crowd's noise fades into a distant hum while you sip on your water. You think of Schlatt—think of what he'd say given he saw you now—and let the ache settle deep in your heart. You hope he hears about the performance—about how you cried—and knows you're thinking of him, even if he's miles away.
The sunlight streaming through the window is harsh—too bright for how Schlatt feels as he groans and reaches for his phone. His feed loads slowly, and he rubs his eyes as the images come into focus.
You're everywhere.
Clips from last night's performance are trending, with fans posting blurry videos and pictures of you on stage. The captions talk about how beautiful—how utterly unforgettable you'd been.
Schlatt scrolls further, thumb hesitating over a video of you singing Forbidden Love. The caption is trying to decipher who the song could be about, and you look untouchable in the dim light of the stage.
Before he can stop himself, he clicks on the video. Your voice pours through the tiny speaker, and he hates how much it hurts to hear as the song fills the quiet of the room.
"She's fucking everywhere," He mutters.
The feeling clings to him as he grabs his jacket. He needs air—needs to get away from thoughts of you.
But at the corner of his street, a billboard stands tall. A picture of you on stage advertises your tour. The tagline reads, 'A Voice That Can't Be Ignored.' And he scoffs—that's one way to put it.
On the way to the store, he passes a magazine stand where your face stares back at him from glossy covers. Every headline seems to scream your name, and he keeps his head downrefusing to look at them.
He reaches the store, and your voice greets him as the doors slide open. Your music croons softly over the radio, and he freezes for a moment, staring at the fresh produce as his lips press tightly together. He quickly grabs what he needs and makes his way to the register.
He gives the cashier a tight-lipped smile, and as she begins ringing his items, she speaks, "She's amazing, isn't she?"
Schlatt blinks, caught off guard, "What?"
"This singer," The woman says, "Her music has been on repeat all week. I still can't believe she's here right now."
He hums in response, nodding as he hands her the cash, "Keep the change," He says, giddy to leave.
He walks home, keeping his head down to avoid any possible conversation. Then he stops, frozen in his tracks, as he sees your silhouette. He wants to go up to you—wants to hear your voice. For a moment, he wonders if you'll turn around and see him, but you don't. And he doesn't let you.
Ducking his head, Schlatt quickly crosses the street. His pulse hammers as he picks up his pace, trying to get away from the snippets of your voice. His stomach twists, the same pang of loneliness and guilt that's been haunting him since you left Austin. It would've been so easy to stay on the other side of the street—to walk up to you. He doesn't.
What would he even say? That he misses you? That every song, every picture, every damn video of you makes him ache with yearning? That he hates how much he wants to be part of your world despite it terrifying him at the same time?
He shoves his thoughts down as he walks as quickly as possible. He can't face you. Not now, not like this, not conflicted and uncertain while stuck in a life he isn't ready to leave but can't stay in without thinking of you.
A minute or so later, he glances back, but you're gone. His absence hits him harder than the sight of you ever could. He stands there for a moment, staring at the spot where you'd been. It's funny how people just fill the space where you were as if you hadn't even been there.
When he gets home, he drops the bag of groceries onto the counter and slouches onto the couch. It feels like the universe is mocking him, pushing you into every corner of his life and reminding him of what he can't have. And no matter how far he goes—how much he tries to clear his head—it seems like you are always going to be there, right out of reach.
You reach your hand towards the plastic separating you and the litter of kittens. One lazily stretches, blinking at you with disinterest before curling back into a ball.
A small smile tugs at your lips. It's been a while since you let yourself slow down like this and just exist. The chaos of your tour has been relentless, and this small pocket of quiet feels like a reprieve.
As he enters the store, Schlatt mutters something about Jambo running out of treats again. He's been making excuses to leave his house—telling himself he's going out because he wants to reconnect with the city, but he's lying to himself. He knows, deep down, that he keeps going out because he's hoping to see you again, hoping you'll notice him.
And then he turns to the cat aisle, steps faltering as he catches sight of you. There you are, standing alone, focusing entirely on the kittens before you. For a second, he considers walking away—slipping out of the store before you notice him. But the way you stand there under the dim lighting, shoulders slightly slumped, while looking at the cats with quiet affection, makes him pause. His feet begin moving on their own accord as he runs a hand through his hair, heart pounding harder and harder with each passing second. He doesn't have to say anything—you didn't see him—he could leave and pretend this never happened, but the thought of walking away again felt heavier than the fear of facing you. So he goes to tap on your shoulder, but he hesitates—finger hovering over you like it did the call button so many times before this moment. But he actually commits this time—no more chickening out, no more running away. This is it.
You turn around as you feel a soft tap on your shoulder, "Yes?" But you feel the air leave your body when you realize who stands before you.
He awkwardly waves, "Hey, pretty girl."
"Jay… hi."

night swims w conrad?
Pairing - Conrad Fisher x Fem!Reader Summary - Conrad interrupts your night swim, leading to all the words you hadn't said spilling out. Warnings - Jealousy? Mentions of alcohol use Words - 1.3K
Masterlist
Night swims were always enjoyable. To dip your legs in first, for the bitter water to creep up your skin ever so slowly until you submerged your whole body. Goosebumps covered your skin, reminding you that you could feel something. Once your shoulders were in the water, it suddenly wasn't as cold. It was weightless. And it carried you as you floated on your back, staring up at the stars as if they were staring back at you.
Night swims were for the days that were too much. After going to a bonfire with all the boys (plus a surprise visit from Belly), tonight was one of those nights. Maybe it was just the people, or the amount of alcohol you consumed, or perhaps, as you deep down knew, it was about the fact you had to watch Conrad and Nicole the whole night. She was the newest hookup of Conrads. Not quite girlfriend, but she was certainly under the belief it would happen one day.
It was torture. She was nice and kind and she only wanted the best for Conrad exactly as you were. A part of you was seething with guilt in that you still hated her a little bit. She had stolen everything you wanted to be. But, by now, it had become a feeling you were all too familiar with. Every few months, a new girl. Before her, there was Arbury who was lucky to make it to girlfriend status - not many ever had done.
Wrapped up with these thoughts, you just wanted a moment away from the chaos. Like you could pretend that, for a second, it didn't bother you. That what Conrad did - who he did - didn't actually bother you. When your eyelids lifted, you almost thought you were hallucinating. The very person who had captured your thoughts was looking down at you.
At first, you didn't move. Because, at first, you weren't completely sure if he was real. Then you jumped back to reality and that pit in your stomach returned. You adjusted, going to stand rather than float. Still, you turned to find Conrad who had his legs dangled in the water, letting his gaze wander over you, every corner of your skin as if you didn't notice what he was doing.
"It's late." So you assumed anyway. You hadn't even checked the time when you came in, but the bonfire had dragged on for a while - or maybe it only felt that way because you were forced to watch Nicole flirt with Conrad the whole night. "What are you doing out?" You finally added.
Conrad answered by retrieving a cigarette from his jacket pocket; a new hobby he had taken up this Summer. "Been a long night." You were glad he felt the same.
"Susannah's already mad at you, you think that's gonna help?" You had one brow raised at him.
But it didn't seem to do anything, "I don't need a reminder." There was a snap in his tone that you had tried to ignore. "And anyway, she's fast asleep." His eyes dwindled at that, going to focus on the abyss in the distance.
You swam closer to him, forcing the boy to move his gaze back to yourself. "What's with the smoking anyway?" You'd noticed it since you first arrived. He would wander off and come back ten minutes later smelling of either smoke or some illegal substance. "Just last year, you hated it. I remember when you found Jere vaping and you gave him the silent treatment for almost two whole days."
He thought about that memory for a moment before he shrugged it off. "Things change." He excused.
Without being able to stop yourself, words started spilling out, "I thought you wouldn't." He was Conrad. He wasn't meant to change, especially not like this.
Your eyes lingered on his, watching as his pupils dilated and his expression moulded into one you couldn't read. "You're upset with me?" He finally asked as you took a few steps back.
"Like you said, things changed." You reiterated. "You changed. You're more distanced from everything, quiet. You don't have that playfulness you did last year-"
He cut in with a scoff, "Playfulness? Really?" You could feel your heart sinking. "You mean because I don't play your's and Jeremiah's and Belly's childish games?"
You knew there was no point in arguing with him. "It doesn't matter." You shook your head. And this time, you turned your back to him, swimming to the other end of the pool when you weren't forced to stare at Conrad Fisher.
Only a few minutes had passed when you heard the shuffling of movement. At first, you thought Conrad was getting up to leave, but the sounds continued until a soft splash came from the other side of the pool. That noise prompted you to turn. Conrad was already looking at you, shirtless and getting used to the temperature. Then, once he was close enough, he flicked his hand passed the water, letting it splash in your face.
"Conrad, what the hell!" You snapped, squirming at the feeling of bitter water hitting your skin.
"What?" He questioned as if he was innocent. "You told me to be more playful."
He shrugged it off as if it were nothing, gaining closer and closer until you only had to whisper in reply. "I'm not in the mood." Your tone was flat.
But Conrad hadn't let that stop him. He splashed you once more. "Conrad!" You snapped again.
"Oh come on, you not gonna fight back?" Your head shook and he took another step towards you before there was barely any distance left between the two of you. Before you could stop him, his hands took a grip around your waist. Within a moment, you were swirling around at Conrad's will, and as much as you hated it, laughter was trickling from your lips. "That's not the Y/n I know!"
You started hitting his side, letting out a, "Conrad, put me down!" Only just heard through the giggles to two of you shared.
Soon enough, he slowed and your body entered the water again. But Conrad's touch didn't leave you. His hands lingered around your bare waist and you swore you could get drunk just off his touch. He was so close. Yet, there was a distance between the two of you still. There felt more distance now than before you had arrived at Cousins. You just sat wishing the boy would break that distance.
"I'm sorry I've not really been around as much as you had expected. Or that I haven't joined in on any of your games or even watched a movie with you." His eyes clung to your own. "But, trust me, I'm trying."
This time, your hand reached out, brushing his cheek as he fell into it. "That's all we need to know." You assured him. "I'm here for you Conrad, you know that?"
He nodded, "I know." And before you could reply, he closed that distance. His lips leaned into your own and you were caught in his trap.
It was sweet but short-lived as you pulled away, too shocked to deepen the kiss any further. Conrad's eyes were frightened and yours were curious. "Why did you do that?" You asked, without moving away from his touch.
He thought on it for a second before answering, "I think I've been meaning to for a few Summers now." Them words had only made you lean into another kiss. One of which you were sure now wouldn't be your last.

Who Do You Think You Are?
Pairings:: F1 drivers x Female driver! Reader, Christian Horner x Daughter! Reader, Geri Halliwell x Daughter! Reader
Summary:: Y/n Horner is officially announced as a 2024 f1 driver
Author note:: This is set during July 2023 just so the time frame makes sense
Masterlist
Here it was.
This is all she had ever worked for. And now she had it. Becoming a Formula One driver was all she ever dreamed of, and now that it became true she didn't know how to act.
She knew it wouldn't be easy, hell, everyone around her knew that. Especially her parents, Redbull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner and 90s Popstar Geri Halliwell. They knew better than anyone that Y/n becoming an F1 driver would spark controversy, but that's exactly why they didn't hold her back.
Y/n's parents wanted her to have everything she ever wanted. And if helping her with her journey into motorsports was what she wanted, they would do anything in their power to make it easier for her.
Contrary to popular belief her father wasn't as involved with her career as many people thought. I mean of course he gave her advice that the other drivers in F4, F3 and F2 wouldn't get, but they would just have to find it out for themselves. The main part Christian played in her motorsports career was being the person to introduce it to her, and get her her first ever go-kart.
They always tried to keep their father-daughter relationship away from the world of motorsport, because as Christian knew, and y/n would later find out, the media can destroy relationships with information that isn't even true.
Y/n practically grew up at the race track. She was always begging her mother to let her go karting after school and Geri almost always let her with the conditions that she had to do all her homework, and if it wasn't done she couldn't go until it was.
It was almost inevitable that Y/n became a driver, she was meeting new drivers every time she came to a race with her parents. And they could all tell that the way she spoke about karting and her dreams, she was going to go far.
The moment Y/n got off the phone with the Team Principal from Porsche she sprinted down the stairs of her childhood home, as she was staying with her parents at the time, and ran to find her parents.
"Spider in your room or something?" Her father teased, knowing her fear of spiders.
"Much better than that" Trying to hide the smile on her face, however it was growing bigger by the second.
"Go on then, what's happened?" Her mother asked her, confused by her behaviour.
"I'M GONNA BE A FORMULA ONE DRIVER FOR PORSCHE NEXT YEAR" She exclaimed at insane volume.
"Oh my goodness, sweetheart, I'm so proud of you" There were tears forming in Geri's eyes as she spoke. "Come here", she widened her arm's for Y/n.
"That's definitely not what I thought you were about to say", Christian joked, and joined in the group hug.
They all took a few moments to comprehend what was going on. As soon as they let go from their hug Christian spoke up.
"I'm sure you'll be good competition"
"I hope so", Y/n joked. "I'm so excited" She squealed, "but I'm also terrified"
Geri laughed at her statement, Y/n always had conflicting emotions. "I'm sure you'll be brilliant, my love" She reassured her daughter, "Who's your teammate going to be?"
"Mick Schumacher" She replied, "I mean, he's been in F1 before, what if he's much better than I am?"
"Nonsense", Christian answered, "They wouldn't have signed you if they didn't think you would good enough." He tried to soothe her worries, it always upset him when she would second guess herself, she was his baby girl, and he wanted whatever was best for her. "You're going to be fantastic, and I know that"
Y/n hugged her father tightly, she knew her parents would always be her biggest fans. "Thank you, Dad"
"So, how long have you been keeping your signing a secret?" He pondered.
"Since September last year...", She quietly admitted.
"That long?"
"Well, it wasn't certain until about 15 minutes ago" She admitted, "They want me to go sign the papers next week"
"My little girl is all grown up", Geri spoke up.
Herself and her father laughed and rolled their eyes.
After a few conversations, and a few more tears, mostly from Geri's eyes, but Y/n could've sworn she saw Christian's eyes become glossy at one point, Y/n went to her bedroom and decided to pack her suitcase, to go back to her own home and then to Germany to officially sign her contract.
It was now 6th July 2023 and Y/n was about to sign her contract.
"Are you ready, Miss?"
"I suppose so"
She didn't even have enough time to take in all her surroundings, the pen was in and out of her hand in seconds.
"You are officially a Formula One driver for Porsche now, congratulations" The team principal of the team said whilst they shared a handshake after her signing.
This was it.
It was now official.
This is Y/n Horner, and this was her story.

heyy!! I LOVE your Poly Plastics fics, do you think you could do one where Regina's father has an outburst at home one day and Reguna realizes she has to take her little sister (4 year old Kylie) out of there, so the Plastics support this and since Regina's parents don't even care much about their daughter they don't give a damn, then you show the 3 of them taking care of Kylie who was a little shaken and needy (from getting too attached to them)??
No Looking Back
|| poly!plastics shenanigans
|| Warnings; regina's father being a bitch, regina standing up to him, protecting kylie, swearing, agnst/comfort
|| Summary; Regina comes home one night to her father yelling at Kylie. She takes her to Gretchen's to protect her.
Requests open!
Started; october 16th
Finished; october 16th
~~~
Regina knew her parents weren't the greatest, there were many times where she would hear her father yelling. Or be the one being yelled at. She'd learnt to just sit and tolerate it, knowing that was the safest option. It wasn't something she wanted people to know about her either, because then that becomes all you're painted as. So she even kept it from her girlfriends, Gretchen and Karen. Until one night.
One night where she had come home late to hear her father yelling at her four year old sister, Kylie. Who definitely didn't deserve whatever screaming match he was having with her. Regina shared a glance with her mother, who had been standing off to the side looking upset. She knew her mom wasn't about to do anything; which left things to her. Regina knew she had to get Kylie safe and that's just what she was going to do.
If she thought of her father as just another nerd, another jerk she had to deal with at school. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard. She's yelled at those people plenty of times. She could do this. Taking a breath, she marched up the stairs and to Kylie's room. Stepping between her father and her sister.
"Kylie, cover your ears." Regina demanded, glancing at Kylie. Who nodded and listened, despite the tears rolling down her cheeks. Regina looked back at her father. Could she even call him that? He never acted like one." Back the fuck away from her! You wanna yell? Yell at me!" She screamed, giving him pause for a moment. Regina's hardly ever yelled back at him. He wasn't ready for this.
"Regina. Go back downstairs, not everything is about you." His glare tore into her soul, but she kept her ground. She wasn't about to back down. In fact, she went as far as spitting in his face. Which only fuelled his anger." You little-" He was seconds from striking her, but Regina picked up Kylie and ran out of the room with her. Her dad followed after, so Regina kept going. Not even giving her mom a second glance as she ran to her jeep. Setting Kylie in the front and making sure she was buckled up good. Yeah, Regina knew this wasn't legal to have her in the front. And without some kind of booster. But she didn't have the time for any other options.
She got out of there as fast as she could without looking back.
"Kylie, I need you to take a breath and grab my phone for me. Okay?" She glanced at the girl then back at the road, Kylie nodded. Struggling to take a breath at first but doing her best to regulate her emotions.
She grabbed Regina's phone and looked at her older sister," what now?" She asked, her tone a quiet murmur.
"Press the numbers 6754." She continued to coach her through what she needed her to do. Kylie did just that, Regina made sure Kylie had learnt how to use a phone at a young age for emergencies. And Kylie's used it a few times to get ahold of her, normally stealing their mother's phone." Do you see Gretchen and Karen's picture in my contacts? Can you call one of them?"
Kylie clicked on Gretchen, the phone rang for only a second before Gretchen answered, sounding pretty excited that Regina actually called her." Gina! Oh my god! Hi!!"
Kylie smiled when she heard Gretchen, having put the phone on speaker. Gretchen was definitely one of her favourites. She always talked to her when she came over." Gren!!!" Kylie smiled at the phone.
Gretchen paused for a moment, then laughed softly." Kylie, honey. Did you take Regina's phone?" Her tone shifted to softer, more kid suitable.
"No, I told her to call you. We're coming over." Regina spoke up, letting Gretchen know she was there too. Gretchen's eyes widened.
"Wait what? Did something happen?"
"Daddy was mean.." Kylie mumbled, Gretchen frowned at that. What did Kylie mean? How mean was he for Regina to be bringing her?
"I'll explain more later when she's in bed. I just had to get her out." Regina sighed, she was a good distance from the house now. She finally gave herself the chance to breathe. Loosening her grip on the wheel. Gretchen could tell how stressed Regina seemed and that worried her, she felt bad for the blonde.
"Yeah, that's okay. I'll set up a space for her. My parents are out for a few nights so you can stay as long as that. I'll see if I can convince them to let you stay longer when they get home." Gretchen replied.
"Thanks, Gren. Seriously." Regina wasn't one to thank people, so Gretchen could tell she was serious even without her saying the 'seriously' part.
"I'm here for you, baby. No matter what. I love you." Gretchen told her, Regina tensed a little when the L word was said. Gretchen and Karen said it a lot, but Regina didn't say it often. Though they knew she loved them. Even without her saying," want me to invite Karen?"
"Yeah. Yeah, call her. I'm about five minutes away. See you in a minute. Kylie, hang up for me?" Regina glanced at her sister who frowned and looked ready to cry again.
"I wanna talk with Gren!" She whined, Regina's grip retightened on the wheel. She didn't know how to handle stuff like this.
"We can see her in a few minutes, if you hang up." Regina tried to negotiate.
"Regina, I got it. I'll see you soon Ky, okay? Really soon, promise. And we can talk as much as you want, how does that sound?" Gretchen was better with kids, which Regina really appreciated.
"Okay!!!" Kylie was smiling and giggling again.
"Thank you." Regina sighed, relieved Gretchen helped her out.
Gretchen hung up the phone and they soon arrived at Gretchen's house. Regina picked up Kylie and carried her inside, shutting the door behind her with her foot as Gretchen came over.
She took Kylie from Regina's arms and smiled wide," Kylie! Hey, girlie!!" Kylie giggled as Gretchen carried her. Regina was tempted to ask for a hug too, needing more comfort right now than she ever carried to admit. Gretchen noticed almost immediately and, keeping an arm around Kylie, offered a hand to Regina." Come here, baby."
Regina let her guard down just a bit, accepting the group hug. She was trying not to cry, the whole night had been stressful for her. But now she could relax. Her father wouldn't know where to look for them; one of the plus' to having a very distant parent. They don't know where any of your friends live. Even her mom, who did know her friends, didn't know. They'd be safe at Gretchen's.
The door opened and Regina nearly jumped out of her skin, but it was just Karen.
"Jesus fuck, Karen." She sighed, resting a hand on her chest to steady her heart. Karen frowned, not sure what she did wrong.
Kylie pointed at Regina," sis said a bad word."
"Regina, no bad words." Gretchen was trying to keep a serious face and not laugh, Regina just rolled her eyes. It's not like she could have helped it.
"I don't get it." Karen said.
The rest of the night was spent with the girls taking care of Kylie, Gretchen did the most but she didn't mind. She liked spending time with the girl. After they got her to bed, Regina explained what had happened. Then Gretchen and Karen focused on comforting Regina. Lots of cuddles, praise and kisses. Assuring her that she did the right thing for Kylie.
Adding onto the gaggle of transfems getting treated like shit asks; I've had a string of bad luck a few weeks back of getting kicked from THREE social groups!
The first was from another transfem buddy of mine who's vocally not a transfeminist, dismisses any time me or any of her other friends bring up any transfeminist theory or critique as being too online. We'd been friends for a few years despite that, until she decided to yank me from her friend discord because apparently the entire time her friends had, without ever vocalizing it, been just quietly tolerating my presence without ever giving me feedback on how my behavior, which I was deliberately taking cues from them on, was upsetting or discomforting them, and relied on her to be the messenger of it.
She'd constantly reiterate that they were HER friends and not mine, like there was simply never going to be a threshold I could pass to become their friends, the distance in time between her and me to them would always fundamentally leave me as an outsider via relativity.
The second was me getting banned from a discord wherein, basically, any time I'd tell someone their weird, conservative, misanthropic bitching was all of those things - they'd go cry to the mods who would immediately take their side because I was being disruptive, and I apparently accrued too many dings and got permabanned.
The third was arguably the most hurtful. I made an offhand joke about how the author of a manga about girls homoerotically beating the shit out of each other (Teppu, for anyone who's interest that piqued) was an egg.
ANOTHER TRANSFEM jumped down my throat about how this was basically forced outing because that author (who lives on the other side of the planet, and is almost certainly not hanging around a rinky dink english speaking discord server) might be grappling with their gender, and maybe hypothetically through six degrees of separation that my little joke could reach the ears of someone with authority over him, get taken as fact, and subject him to social violence which would then be my fault. I was so hurt and stunned by the sheer stupidity and bad faith of the argument that I just didn't even want to bother arguing or defending myself, even when someone else stepped in to tell her it was a harmless joke.
Anyway, happy ending is that at this point I basically only socialize in groups that are either run by me with a bunch of hand picked TMEs who can take a transfem joke, or exclusively weird horny kinkster transfems, so I don't have to worry about walking on eggshells or curtailing my opinions. It's been very freeing, but all this happening within like a fucking two week timeframe definitely left me in a bit of a frenzy before I took the rose tinted glasses off and realized how much I was censoring myself and walking on eggshells in these groups.
So, I guess to any transfem going through the fucking ringer; just bounce. Transfems doing it to you doesn't make it better - get the fuck outta there, salvage any of the people you're interested in continuing to hang out with, and make your own space.
all of these experiences ring true to me and all of the trans girls im close to. im sorry that this all happened in such a short space of time — this is indeed why i don’t spend much time joining “lgbt discord servers” or even fandom discord servers i see posted on here; the norm is to treat transfeminists as instant pariahs, and it’s so unavoidable that even transfems are becoming the lackeys of transmisogyny.
His dark eyes.
Tom riddle x fem!reader
part 1
part 2. i will make more so don't worry this is kind of short. english isn't my first language so lmk there's any mistake. this is for fun.
You calmly wrote down your assigned potion's homework. Slughorn always found a way to assign tasks that, although they seemed difficult at the beginning, ended up being easy, and you even got a reward at the end. That was your favourite part.
The door opened suddenly, revealing a slightly upset Tom, which wasn't strange but at the same time, when you consider it, it was. He usually didn't show it so openly, you realized you knew him completely, or at least that's what you thought.
“I notice you're upset, my love.” Anyone who heard this phrase that you had addressed to Tom would have thought that it was just a loving nickname, but he knew perfectly well it was just irony. “Has something happened?” In response, he slowly turned his head to look at you.
“Where are my books?”
“I don't know, probably in your room. I highly doubt they're here. Besides, I cannot understand how you manage to get into the ladies room.” He ignored your question, and started searching through your clothes and things. No matter how much you could tell him to stop, you knew he wasn't going to, so you didn't even try. When he finished searching for what he wanted, he left without looking back.
It was depressing. It was depressing knowing that you were being used, and you cursed the day you decided to confess to Tom Riddle. Likewise, it had been almost a year. You could have had such a nice future, maybe fallen in love and married one of your classmates, but no, you decided to confess to the psychopath. You hoped that one day you could travel back to yesterday and return unscathed. Curled up in your bed, you allowed yourself to cry, and your voice was never louder.
Already in the dining room, with your mind blank and already recovered (not completely) from your little cry, the girls were trying to find conversations with you. You were wondering why. Usually when they talked to you, it was to get information from you about something that interested them. In fact, before becoming Tom's girlfriend you had never talked to so many people, apparently they didn't find you interesting. You kept questioning yourself internally what they wanted from you until one of them finally made her intentions clear.
“And… we were all wondering if you've had… you know, with Tom.” You were stunned. He had not prepared you for that type of question, and not in a thousand years would you have been able to answer it. The others who were around told that girl, Martha, to have a little more filter when she talked about those things.
The truth was that you hadn't had your first time, not even with Simón, he died before they could make that breakthrough. Everyone in your class had already had relationships with their boyfriends, and it was logical that those who were single (and those who were not also) were interested in knowing how good the beloved Tom Riddle was in bed. Obviously, you couldn't tell them that you felt an extreme repulsion towards the man who was your boyfriend, since that would completely damage their plan to deceive the professor. That prompted you to find him and ask him a question.
“Do we really need to stick with the plan?”
You had taken a while to look for him but when you found him he was talking to Professor Slughorn about a topic you didn't know about. Tom said goodbye to Slughorn, saying that he was going to attend to his beautiful girlfriend. You wondered if he was the teacher Tom talked so much about.
“Obviously, we must continue with the plan, dear.” He said with that voice that used to drive you crazy. “Why are you asking now? Is there another Simon out there?” He laughed sarcastically, you hated that laugh since you knew it wasn't genuine, it was genuine mockery and that was another topic.
“I just think everyone already understood that you love, you don't need me any more.” While you were saying those words you fixed your eyes on the floor, your gaze did not connect with his, it intimidated you to look at him. His penetrating gaze activated all the alarms in your body, telling you to leave, that something bad was going to happen. But you stayed to wait for his response.
“Okay. Let's do it, let's finish it. I can easily find a replacement. Do not think you're the only one. You're not, you're just another one of the bunch, who they are just going to use and throw away when they get what they want from you. People like you will not survive in the world I am going to create.” Your eyes were flooding with tears, you didn't want to blink since you knew that if you did, the sea of tears would come to light. “Stop crying, you know I hate seeing you cry!” He grabbed your face and crushed it in his hands, “You look horrible when you cry, you look weak, and you lose the only notable quality you have.” He finally let go of you. Adjusted his robe and left, leaving you alone with yourself.
Already there, in your state, you went to your bedroom and sank into the sheets.
The morning of the next day was no better, in class everyone couldn't stop talking about how you and Tom had broken up. Your assumption was that Tom had broken the news to them, and you were right. What perhaps hadn't occurred to you was that he had subverted the story slightly. He had said that he had broken up with you since you were unfaithful with Simon a while ago, but that he refused to accept it. Now, he was the victim of the story, the poor guy who refused to accept that his girlfriend was cheating on him. And you, anyone who dared to deceive him.
Nobody talked to you any more like they did when you were his partner, apparently they no longer found you interesting. That depressed you but not enough to cloud your common sense that told you that it was better to be alone than in bad company. And it was true. Even though no one appreciated you and everyone hated you, you managed to make it to the Easter holidays, even though it seemed like a short time, you needed to go home. You were excited to finally be able to go home freely.
With your bags already packed you were heading towards the exit when Tom arrived at your door.
“Hello.” He said, sitting on your bed as if it were his house.
“Hi.”
“How has your life as a social reject gone?” He smiled arrogantly.
“Well, the time alone has served me well to think and reflect.” You weren't going to let him see you badly, let him see you vulnerable once again.
“I imagine that once again you are going to stay here, I know perfectly well that you don't like being with your parents.” You knew perfectly well that he had already noticed the suitcases, but that he says it to bother you.
“I'll see how I deal with it.” I can't stand being in this castle any more, I'll ask my parents to give me classes at home, I can't stand being at Hogwarts any longer, you thought.
“You're not leaving Hogwarts, you are not going to study in your house,” he said firmly as he got closer and closer to you, until he caught up with you and choked me, pushing me against the nearest wall. “You know, I've let you be alone for a while because I think you need it, but I swear, you're never going to be free of me. Never. Do you understand me?” You nodded repeatedly, waiting for him to release you. When you had got out of his grasp, he picked you up and threw you against the bed, forcing you to give him your arm. You had already let him do whatever he wanted so that he would finally leave you alone.
And at that moment, with a knife that you had no idea where he had got it from, he marked your left arm, leaving a line of blood on you.
You could tell he was going to do something else if he hadn't been interrupted by the knock on the door. Alarmed that he would be upset by the interruption, you decided to stay silent and not respond.
“ Are you there? I need your help to fill out some paperwork!" Oh, god, it was your classmate Samantha, she didn't usually talk to you about those things, but it seemed like she did now.
“Don't even dare answer.” Tom murmured putting his hand over my mouth once more.
After a while Samantha stopped knocking on the door and left. It was then that Tom finally let go of you.
“You're going to finish your school year whether you like it or not.” You were left dumbfounded in your room, you were trying to understand Tom's outburst, but you couldn't. Couldn't understand how someone felt a pathological need to ruin lives.
You grabbed your suitcases and decided to spend the Easter holidays at home. Where he couldn't reach you, or well, that's what you liked to think.
You can do Sdra2 girls with a boyfriend who loves to carve pumpkins at Halloween
Celebrating Halloween with the sdra2 girls
Halloween post #8
A/n:I decided to make it a bit more general than the request because I didn't have that many ideas and was scared it'd become repetitive, sorry if this isn't what you wanted
Sora
Sora does enjoy celebrating holiday and especially Halloween, there's something about the spooky season that resonates with her
She's definitely the type to jump out of the shadows to scare you or do anything that might spook you to see your adorable face and tease you endlessly
She'll wear the ghost costume she wears in the game and will only go trick-or-treating if you want. Otherwise, she'll just stay in and watch a movie with you
She doesn't know that much about pumpkin carving, but she'll try if you like it that much. She actually tried to carve one in the shape of your face but it...really didn't come out well
"Eh, did I scare you? You should have seen your face. Sorry baby, just wanted to see how you'd react. Oh, come on, you're not that mad at me, are you? Will some hugs and kisses fix that?
Kokoro mitsume
She's really not the type to celebrate anything except your and mikako's birthday or your anniversary, so she's not particularly excited for Halloween, but seeing you and her daughter being so happy to celebrate it changed her mind a bit
She won't wear anything, no matter how much mikako insists she really doesn't want to, but thankfully, you will for her. You even let your daughter choose your costume and try to put face paint on you...which didn't go too well
Mikako just dragged you two trick-or-treating with her and yamato (i headcanon that even in this au they're friends even if not adoptive siblings). Even if kokoro wasn't dressed up, she just watched you have fun with them and that warmed her heart
She also didn't carve pumpkins even if you insisted, but she did look up some cool designs to give you ideas... She also helped mikako carve her own so she wouldn't get hurt...and actually ended up enjoying it
"Mommy, Daddy, look at how much candies I got! I'm gonna eat all of them!"
"That's great, mika -"
"Don't. Eating that much sugar will cause you to get sick"
"O-oh....... sorry"
"....*sighs* i guess you could have some of them"
"Yay! thanks mommy"
Emma magorobi
Emma really enjoys festivities, and celebrating them with you is one of the many things she loves doing with her amazing boyfriend, Halloween, especially
You two will mostly stay in and have kind of a sleepover, watching all the horror movies Emma starred in while eating snacks and cuddling
She'll dress up as one of the characters she played in a horror movie (is it considered a cosplay if you're cosplaying as technically yourself?) with a costume that covers her arms, preferably And will ask if you'd like to dress up too,maybe as the love interest of her character
She'll definitely help you pumpkin carving, even if she's not an expert and might mess up She'll still have a lot of fun trying since it's something you love (also be prepared for a lot of pumpkin puns)
"Hey, you look nice! No, really, to be honest, you look even more handsome than the actor who played him eheh. Anyway....there's a kiss scene between our characters later in the movie.....wanna recreate it?"
Setsuka chiebukuro
Setsuka is definitely a party person. She just really enjoys celebrating with the people she loves, especially you. Whenever Halloween comes up, she always has something prepared to have fun
She invited everyone in the class to a Halloween party and asked all of her classmates to dress up for it (she wore her oni costume) she made sure you in particular had fun and recorded all of the best moments with her eye camera so you could watch it later together (she also told you how cute and handsome you looked in your costume like 12 separate times)
She likes pranking/scaring people for fun with you and hibiki, even if some people get upset at her for that. She'll also try to do it on you too but only if she knows you don't get scared easily
She'll definitely carve a pumpkin too, she was already going to do it even before you told her you liked it, she made a really goofy one that made you laugh and was actually pretty decent at it
"Soooo, are you having fun, baby? Oh, big sis is really glad, you know I love Halloween; by the way, you look so cute with that costume on y'know? Eheh, big sis could just hug you and cup that adorable face of yours forever, sweetie. "
Hibiki otonokoji
While hibiki normally isn't really one for big celebrations that aren't her concerts or birthdays, she still likes Halloween quite a fair bit. And she'll definitely enjoy partying with you
As stated earlier, she really likes playing pranks and scaring you, but unlike setsuka, you are the main victim of that during Halloween. She's not the scariest, which means that often you end up laughing at her attempts, which makes her mad and causes her to get setsuka to prank you even harder
She thought it would be funny if her and kanade dressed up as each other, which just consisted of them switching hairpins (she unfortunately couldn't do anything about the chest size), unfortunately, most of your classmates recognized them anyway
She didn't see the point in pumpkin carving at first, but after seeing some cute designs online, she said she wanted to do one too....it didn't come out great, but it's the effort that matters
"Hibiki?! What do you mean? I'm kanade.....o-ok sorry, I guess I should have expected my bf to recognize me.....but I'm sure I'll fool everyone else.....r-right?"
Kanade otonokoji
Kanade likes anything you like, really you could bring her anywhere or do anything with her, and she'd be happy as long as her darling is with her, so when she heard that you liked Halloween, she couldn't be happier to celebrate
Hibiki dragged her, and you trick-or-treating with her (along with her boyfriend) she kinda had fun, especially because she was with you, but she mostly did it to please her sister. She somehow got you all your favorite candies and gave them to you... you have no idea how she got them or how she knew which ones you liked, but you're not complaining
You finished the day by watching a horror movie while cuddled up to each other. You never thought your shy and sweet girlfriend would be into slashers but seeing her happy is really nice
She also carved her own pumpkin. She was somehow really really good at it, even if she says that yours is far more beautiful than whatever she did, you still think hers is better....and she told you this was her first time holding a knife
"Oh darling, your pumpkin is amazing... o-oh no, please don't say that, I'm just an amateur. Mine is nothing compared to yours, my love"
Iroha nijiue
Iroha gets scared very easily by practically anything remotely spooky, so usually she hates Halloween, but you insisted she celebrated with you and promised her that you would keep the scary things away from her, so she agreed
Mikado likes to torment iroha a lot, but especially today, he scares her with his magic literally every time he sees her, so you two try to stay very far away from him
She would prefer not to dress up (definitely not because she was embarrassed that the only costumes she could find that fit her were for children) but she'll help you design your costume if you're making it yourself, painting on it or giving you ideas
Pumpkin carving is actually the main thing she'd like to do, as long as you don't make a spooky one. She's not the best at using a knife, but the pumpkin still comes out really good, which you praise her a lot for. She appreciates that very much.
"H-hey y/n, here, I made the pumpkin, how does it look? O-oh,t-thank you so much, yours looks great too"
Yoruko kabuya
While yoruko does enjoy celebrating on special occasions, she kinda thinks Halloween is a bit of a childish holiday and doesn't give it that much attention, but since you looked so happy about it, there's no harm in celebrating more than usual
She'll make some horror themed drinks for you, and would love it if you helped her bake Halloween sweets like cookies or cupcakes. You two then eat everything you made while watching a horror movie
After a lot of pleading from you , she (kinda reluctantly) dressed up in her witch costume, she blushed a lot when you saw her with it on for the first time and even more when you complimented how beautiful she looked. She really doesn't want anyone except you seeing her like this, and all of the compliments she received made the embarrassment worth it
She won't carve a pumpkin, nor will she help you carve one. She doesn't really see the point, and doesn't want to get her costume dirty, but she will tell you how beautiful the one you made looks
"......j-just so you know, I'm only wearing this, so you stop nagging me. E-eh? You think I look beautiful? Thanks, but.....*sighs* nothing just Thanks......i-i only put it on for you...h-happy Halloween....b-babe"
Would you be willing to do Yue x Azula as star-crossed lovers(42)? Of the thingy.
Hello, anon!! Yes I would!
AU where Azula becomes the sun
Star-crossed lovers: Lovers who's attraction for each other is doomed to end in tragedy.
The story of the princess blessed by the moon and princess blessed by the sun was a well known one for people regardless of their nation of origin.
Many children heard about the young Water Tribe girl, sick from birth, who was blessed by the moon spirit. She was given hair as white as snow and some even said she had the ability to communicate with the spirit. Her name was Yue.
The story of the girl blessed by the sun was less known but no less true. The girl, unlike her counterpart, was not sick at birth, but rather strong. She had fire in her eyes, so much so that it was said her eyes burned the color of the sun and her fire was brighter and stronger than anything. Her name was Azula.
But it’s common knowledge that the moon and the sun were not meant to be together. There was a reason they were separated by the night and day. Just as the moon and sun were never meant to be together, Yue and Azula were never meant to be together. In the sky, the moon and sun were separated by miles of space between them. Yue and Azula suffered from a similar struggle of distance.
A distance which only grew when Yue assumed the responsibilities of the moon spirit, saying goodbye to her family and friends to keep the world safe. Azula, alone in a cell and forgotten by the world, didn't have as great a showing when she became a spirit. The fire in her eyes was weak and dying when she was taken away, but, ignited like the strongest fire ever seen when she gained spirithood. Her fire suddenly felt as if it could never go out.
It’s common knowledge that the moon and the sun were not meant to be together. But every rule has an exception and, for the sun and the moon, that exception is a solar eclipse.
"So, you're the sun spirit?" Yue asked.
"I am." Azula confirmed, "And you must be the moon spirit."
"Forgive me if this is too forward, but you don't look like the other spirits around here." Yue said.
"How so?" Azula asked, letting the fire on the end of her hair fall down as she undid her topknot.
"You look too...beautiful and human." Yue admitted, "I've only met one human spirit that was beautiful before: the Painted Lady."
"I probably look this way because I was human. I was human for sixteen years before I became a spirit." Azula told her.
"You were human too?" Yue asked, her eyes growing wide upon finally meeting a spirit like her.
"Too?" Azula asked.
"I was a human myself. I was the Princess of the North Pole, but then this Fire Nation admiral attacked the moon spirit and I took her place. I don't really know how long it's been since the attack, the Spirit World concept of time is tricky, but I remember it very clearly. I remember my father, my people, my home, Sokka-"
"Wait. Sokka as in that Water Tribesmen who traveled with the Avatar?" Azula asked.
"Yes. He was traveling with Avatar Aang." Yue confirmed, “Do you know him?”
Azula made a face, “In a way. He invaded the Fire Nation during a solar eclipse and was the only one with a brain who could see my plan.”
Yue smiled with a light blush coming onto her cheeks, “That sounds like him.” She looked away from Azula before speaking again, “How long has it been? If Sokka is still alive then…”
“It’s been two years since the North Pole siege. Not much time has passed.”
“Two years?” Yue’s eyes grew, “The war-“
“Relax. Your side won.” Azula grumbled, taking a seat away from her.
Because of the solar eclipse, Azula and Yue could pretty much float in the sky and spend the few hours they had just watching over the mortal world. A benefit from being tied to celestial bodies miles in the sky. Yue had watched over the invasion but she hadn’t seen what happened in the tunnels.
“You seem upset by that.” Yue gathered, sitting next to her.
“I was on the Fire Nation side. I was the Fire Nation princess actually.” Azula revealed, earning a look of shock from Yue, “After the war, I was thrown in an asylum because my uncle and brother said I was crazy. They locked me up and threw away the key.”
“I have no experience of being locked away.” Yue admitted, “But I was locked in a marriage with someone I didn’t love. I thought I was doing what was best for my people, my duty as a princess, and…” She brushed her spirit dress, “I guess I am doing something for my people just not in the way I expected.”
“You view this as something for your people?” Azula asked.
“I do. You don’t?”
“Everything I did before this was for my people and my father. I fought in the war, trained hard, became the perfect warrior all to lead my nation to victory and so my father would be proud. When I became a spirit, it was the first time that I didn’t have any of that responsibility. This is the first time I get to do something just for me, no one else. Yes, I bring the sun to the world every day but I also get to visit the dragons when I want, I get to meet the other spirits, spend time watching over people doing things I wish I could have done. I get to be…”
“Free.” Yue added, “That sounds perfect. But….you know we’re not supposed to go near mortals.”
Azula chuckled, “Are you going to tell on me?”
“No. I’ll let it slide this one time.”
“Why do I sense an if?” Azula asked.
“If you promise to take me down there and show me some of your favorite spots.” Yue added, “It’s been a long time since I’ve had someone to really talk to….that isn’t La.”
“It’s a date.”
Fighting, Girl | Ming Chapter
February 10, 2023
''I'm here for my brothers, I'm here for my brothers…'' Ming repeated to herself as she sat in her car, stalling herself from going inside the building. She glanced at the bags of food her grandmother had prepared for the members, a way to show her congrats as she had named it.
Ming contemplated turning her car back on, fleeing to the dorms and eating all the food herself, but she knew it would upset the trio and that was the last thing she wanted to do. So, she put her mask on, got the food bags and made her way inside.
It was rather easy to avoid the fans and cameras waiting outside the building. She has been going to this place for 8 years, she knows the loopholes. Once inside, Ming had only one goal: making it to their dressing room without any interactions that weren't her members.
That seemed too much to ask for as she bumped into a body when turning a corner. ''Sorry, I'm so sorry.'' He apologized, repeatedly bowing his head.
''It's okay, Soobin-ah! Don't worry about it.'' Ming assured him, the young guy looked flustered and embarrassed.
Soobin pointed at the bags she was holding. ''You need help with that, Noona?''
''That's sweet, but it's fine.''
Over the last few months, she and Soobin had grown a close friendship. It was mostly thanks to Yeonjun and the time they spent together, but she had become like another older sister to the young leader. He had approached her at the company once, he had his worries about being an idol and Ming provided a listening ear and comforting advice.
Her and Soobin's conversation didn't last long as the young man had to make an urgent visit to the bathroom and she didn't want to hold him up any longer.
Ming set her journey further into making it to the BSS dressing room. She had run into the Viviz girls. Ming wasn't that close to them, but Seungkwan was and she knew he would scold her if she didn't say anything to them.
Eventually she made it there without any other interactions that would ruin the rest of her day. She knocked on the door and opened the door, revealing herself to the members and staff. ''Surprise!'' Ming made a reference to Joshua's infamous line.
''Yerimie!''
Seungkwan had been the first one to get to her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. Dokyeom waited for the unit's maknae to pull away before embracing her himself and kissing her cheek.
''Ah! Ming-sunbaenim came to support her juniors! We are so honored!'' Soonyoung loudly exclaimed in all his excitement, not even waiting for Dokyeom to be done hugging her.
She held the bags up. ''Look what your senior brought for you!'' The three of them took over the bags, seeing as she was holding so many of them.
While the staff laid the food out, Ming took the time to greet Coups, Wonwoo and Mingyu who had also come down to Music Bank to support the unit. ''I thought you were in Daegu?'' The leader asked, squeezing her shoulder.
''I was, but I wanted to surprise the members,'' she smiled at him, ''and I drove myself here, all the way from my house.''
''You're not with your manager?'' Mingyu seemed surprised she had come all alone to the music show. Ming shook her head. ''Nope, cool right?'' Wonwoo ruffled her hair upon seeing the proud look on the girl's face.
''Yeah, but make sure you take one of them with you when you go back to the dorm, okay? I don't want you driving alone when you're tired.'' Coups told her, he knew it was an exhausting trip going from Daegu all the way to Seoul.
Ming held her hand up to her head, saluting him like a soldier. ''Yes, chef.''
''Yerimie!'' Soonyoung's voice boomed through the dressing room, ''did grandma make this? It's so good!''
She nodded her head. ''Yes! It's her way of congratulating you guys with the new album.'' Ming confirmed it was indeed her grandmother's homemade food.
''I love you, grandma!'' Seungkwan exclaimed, talking with his mouth still full with noodles.
''Guys, don't eat too much, you still have to perform!'' One of their managers scolded them, although he was highly amused by their excitement for the food.
Ming sat herself down on one of the few unoccupied seats in the room, in-between Coups and Wonwoo. ''Did you go see my parents?'' The leader questioned her. He had told her before she left that she needed to visit them, to make up for missing out on celebrating the Lunar New Year with them.
''I did, your mother basically kidnapped me! I went there in the morning and I stayed there until almost midnight! She would not let me leave.'' Ming recalled the visit to Cheol's family home and how his mother practically held her as a hostage.
Both members burst out laughing at her dramatic answer. ''I want to tell you to not over exaggerate, but I know you're not.'' Coups knows how much his mother loved the second youngest member.
''That's cute, she didn't want you to leave.'' Wonwoo said, finding it endearing.
''Yeah, she also said I was her favorite child.''
''She what?!''
''You three look like you could be her uncles.'' Ming teased as Eunchae stood in-between them, ready to film their 'Fighting' TikTok with her. Soonyoung, Dokyeom and Seungkwan gave her a glare, while Yeonjun and Soobin laughed along with her.
The two TXT members had just filmed their own challenges with the BSS unit, but they stuck around to talk with Ming.
''Your brothers must have been happy to see you again.'' Yeonjun said as they were on the topic of Ming's visit to her family.
Ming jokingly rolled her eyes. ''Jungwoo was really glad, he hugged me and everything. But Junghoon didn't even care, he was like ''What are you doing here?'' I was so offended, I had just spent 3 hours in a car by myself and he greets me like that.'' She told them, still unimpressed with the indifferent way Junghoon had welcomed her.
''He sounds like a lot of fun.'' Soobin giggled, amused by the contrast between Ming's younger brothers. She pointed her finger at him. ''You and him are the same age, you should get drinks.'' He simply continued smiling, a bit too flustered to say anything further.
''How are promotions going? Good?'' Ming asked them, feeling like she had been talking about herself for too long.
They both nodded their heads. ''Yeah, it's been great with the fans and everything.'' Yeonjun replied, a genuine smile on his face.
''We've been really enjoying it.'' Soobin agreed.
''That's good to hear, especially since you almost broke my back when filming that video together.'' Ming recalled the TikTok she filmed with Soobin a week earlier.
Both guys burst out laughing at the memory with the younger man's cheeks burning up due to embarrassment. ''I'm sorry! I jumped too early!'' He apologized again, still feeling a little bad about it.
''I'm teasing, Soobinnie!'' She exclaimed, hitting his arm in the process. ''The fans seemed to really like it, so it's okay.''
The loud voices of BSS switched Ming's attention from Yeonjun and Soobin to her three members, who were finished shooting their TikTok with Eunchae. The young girl seemed a bit unsure of what to do next, anxiously standing on the side.
Ming excused herself and approached her. ''Manchae! You want to get some snacks with me?'' She suggested, extending her arm for her to take. The girl shyly nodded her head and they linked their arms together, the rest of the members fondly watching the two of them leave.
''You did really well! For your first time as an MC, you already looked like a pro.'' Ming complimented her, giving her encouragement as the junior had expressed her nerves before the broadcast began.
Eunchae bowed her head, cheeks coloring red. ''Thank you, unnie. It was much more fun than I had expected and your members were really fun to interview.'' She laughed, thinking back on how BSS had given her tips during their small interview.
''They're crazy, those guys.'' Ming shook her head, although a grin appeared on her face.
They arrived at the vending machine, Ming stopped Eunchae once she saw the younger girl pull out her wallet. ''No, no! I'm paying! I'm your older sister, remember?'' Eunchae tried protesting Ming's words, but to no avail.
''Pick what you want, don't look at the prizes.'' The Seventeen member was excited when she got to pull her ''older sister card'', she enjoyed taking care of people.
While Eunchae took her time choosing what she wanted to eat, Ming's focus shifted to the loud group of men on the other side of the hallway, or in better words to the Canadian rapper who was holding their trophy.
She had been blatantly naive thinking she would be alright seeing him again after everything that had happened more than a week earlier. Despite telling her family she was there because she missed them and the city, the rejection by Minhyung played a huge factor in getting away from Seoul.
It worked for a time. She spent time with her brothers, her grandmother and even her father who she had assumed would be too busy to even hold a proper conversation with. But seeing the man again, it hurt. He looked good, he looked like he was enjoying himself. And as much as she understood his untold reason for not wanting to see her anymore, she hated that he seemed so unfazed by everything. He even happily greeted her own members on stage when they congratulated him on the music show win.
Ming felt bad for wanting to yell at her members for showing the man, who had stamped on her heart, so much kindness, but it wouldn't be fair to them. They had nothing to do with this and it wasn't in their nature to be hostile or cruel to anyone.
''Unnie?''
Eunchae's voice pulled her from her thoughts. ''Sorry, did you choose?''
The young girl glanced up at her in concern, but nodded her head and pointed at the particular snack she wanted, a simple bag of chips. ''That one.''
''Good choice!'' Ming paid and gave it to Eunchae who happily thanked her.
The two beloved maknaes engaged in some small talk about the most random topics. Eunchae was still quite starstruck whenever she was with Ming, so the responsibility to lead the conversation often fell on Ming's shoulder who was famously known for being the definition of social anxiety.
A pair of eyes watched them from afar, hoping he was being subtle with his staring. He had expected to see her once he found out from Jungwoo that the SVT unit would have overlapping promotions with their own group. Just like the other broken half of the pair, it was difficult and all the pep talks he had given himself flew right out the window.
A panicked rush went through him when her eyes looked right into his, peeking over Eunchae's head. His panic was replaced with disappointment when Yerim put her arm over the new MC's shoulder and guided her away, their backs turned to him.
''Who does he think he is? Looking at me like that.'' Ming thought to herself, the urge to roll her eyes almost getting to her.
She brought Eunchae back to her dressing room, promising her they would get dinner sometime and get to know each other better. The young girl had reacted delightly shocked by the offer and accepted, shyly asking Ming if they could exchange phone numbers.
After giving Eunchae her contact information, she bid her goodbye and made her way back to her own dressing room, ready to go home.
''Thanks for coming, Yerimie! We'll get some food one of these days, alright?'' Seungkwan sighed into her neck, appreciative of her coming all the way down from Daegu to show them her support.
Dokyeom was changing his clothes, so she shouted a simple goodbye to him and Soonyoung had lifted her off the ground, bidding her goodbye in a dramatic, Shakespearean way. ''When will I see you again? Oh, no! Our sunbaenim is leaving us!''
Ming flicked his head. ''Stop the dramatics! We live in the same building.'' Her response gathered some laughs from the staff around them.
''Oppa, I'm gonna go to the bathroom quickly and then we'll leave, okay?'' She told one of the managers, keeping her promise to Coups who had already left along with Mingyu and Wonwoo.
Ming usually took her time when it came to going to the toilet, but since she had someone waiting on her, she sped up her process. She was focused on getting back as quickly as possible to her manager, she didn't notice someone waiting on her.
''Yerim?''
She flinched, not expecting someone to stand next to the bathroom entrance. ''Oh my god.'' Her hand flew to her chest.
''Sorry, I didn't want to scare you.'' Minhyung apologized, anxiously fiddling with his fingers.
Her eyes slowly met his, both of them not knowing what to do next. ''Uh, congrats on the win.'' She told him, that being the first thing to come into her mind.
''Thanks.'' He looked like he wanted to add something, but changed his mind and didn't.
Ming awkwardly glanced around, partly relieved there wasn't anyone around to see the pair's interaction. ''I have to go, uh, goodbye.''
''Wait, uh, can- can we talk?'' Minhyung gently grabbed her arm, preventing her from leaving. Ming glimpsed down at his hand and he immediately pulled away once he noticed.
She took a step away from him. ''Why? I thought you didn't want to see me anymore.'' She was going the petty route, slightly cringing as the words left her mouth.
''That's what I wanted to talk about, you see I-''
''Ming-ssi, are you ready to go?'' She must have taken a long time, because her manager appeared from behind Minhyung.
Her gaze softened as it fell on the older man, some tension leaving her body. ''Yeah, sorry! I was just congratulating him,'' she explained, ''goodbye, Mark-ssi.'' Without sparing him another glance, she walked past him and strung her manager along.
Minhyung watched her leave, a certain sadness visible in his eyes.
Mark. She called me Mark.
Maybe Kouyou teaching gn!reader manners in her unique way? 😌
Sakura Kisses
♡ pairing: Kouyou Ozaki x gn!Reader
♡ synopsis: Your girlfriend Kouyou teaches you Port Mafia etiquette after you become a new member under her supervision.
♡ wc: 1.1k
♡ cw: Mentions of mafia business including murder, basically just one long conversation between you and Kouyou, reader is a bit of a silly (self-insert much?? I am so silly)
note: I took a couple creative liberties with this one, so...hopefully it's alright lol. This is one of my OLDEST reqs and I'm only now finishing it, I'm so sorry nonnie I love you so much babe and I fucking love Kouyou too man, she's not my favourite girl (LUCY DEFENDER TILL I DIE) but she's amazing nonetheless. When she appeared in Stormbringer I think I screamed. Anyways, apologies for errors and I hope you enjoy x
"Are you gonna teach me how to differentiate between all those salad forks that princesses use?" You sighed. "I don't wanna do all that. I wanna use ONE fork when I eat."
You really didn't know what to expect when Kouyou had suggested sitting down and giving you an informal lecture on 'mafia etiquette'. As far as you were concerned, those sorts of words were reserved for high-class individuals, and people from before the 20th century. You'd expected your induction into the mafia to involve a lot more active bloodshed; full of action, and littered with corpses of faceless enemies- something like what Chuuya Nakahara had experienced when he first joined, or so you'd heard.
Apparently not. Not when your girlfriend is an executive, anyway.
"No, nothing like that," Kouyou chuckled. "Mafia and monarchy aren't synonyms."
"Well, they're pretty damn fancy though, right? I can only guess by you, at least..."
"You'd be surprised," she replied. "I'm perhaps one of the most...'fancy' individuals in the organisation."
"Is that right?" You raised your eyebrows, curiously. "I dunno...I just assumed organised crime would be organised, like how it is in those old gangster movies."
"Of course, those films aren't based in reality. The Mafia is much more brutal than any screen could display, though I understand you're already aware of it." Kouyou locked eyes with you, her gaze firm. "Yes?"
"...I mean, sure..." you answered, before adjusting in your seat. "Right then. What's the first thing I should know? Like, gimmie the basics."
Kouyou cleared her throat. "There is a rule of transaction here in the Port Mafia. You don't want to be indebted to anyone else here."
"But I'm indebted to you, Kou!" You said. Kouyou chuckled.
"Not me, dear. Nobody else, though. I'm sure if I talk to him I can grant you some mild immunity with Chuuya." She explained. You inhaled, never having met the executive before but having heard stories. He certainly sounded like someone you would want immunity from.
"You and him are close, right?" You asked her.
"Indeed. I did help oversee him when he first joined the mafia, as I'm doing for you now."
"How long ago was that?"
"Seven years ago," Kouyou answered quietly, seemingly remembering the time fondly. "He was rather plucky at that age. He found his rhythm here rather easily, nonetheless."
"Good for him. Bet he was better at it than I am, eh?" You chuckled. Kouyou tilted her head, before bowing her head.
"Don't fret about it, dear. You'll feel more comfortable here in no time, though...you can't be too comfortable. This is the Mafia, after all." She shifted in her seat to better face you. "Now, I'm going to ask you some questions which you'll need to know the answers to in order to...survive here."
"...'survive'?" You slowly repeat the word, as if foreign to your tongue.
"Many lower ranking members, such as assassins and those who run errands for the higher-ups, are rather disposable. Many in my position would have no problem killing you if you were to upset them at all," She explained, her voice calm as if this were completely normal. You hadn't been a part of Kouyou's world for an extremely long time, but you decided to start expecting a lot more death very soon. You knew she was desensitised to it and you were fine with that, but...
"God, that's frightening. I thought you said you could get me some kind of immunity, though."
"I said I'll see what I can do with Chuuya. In all honesty, I believe you two have the capacity to be good friends, so long as you don't anger him."
"Well then, bring on the questions, I guess..." you muttered in reply, before perking up after what you felt to be a brilliant idea popped into your head. "Will you kiss me when I get a question right?"
Kouyou blinked in surprise. "Why, that's..." she partially covered her now-red face with her sleeve. You gave her a smile.
"Please? How else will I motivate myself to do well?" You begged, giving her a slight mock-pout. "Come on, you wanna kiss me, Kouyou. You wanna kiss me sooooo bad, I can tell."
"Fine, fine," she nodded quickly, waving her arm slightly. "I agree to these terms. Are you satisfied?"
"Sure am!" You grinned. "So, go on!"
"Alright..." Kouyou straightened her posture and softly cleared her throat. "If I were to approach you and ask your name, what do you tell me?"
"...my name?" You answered, confused. "You know my name."
"Regardless, you would tell me anyway. When an executive asks a question, they are demanding an answer."
"Right, okay..." You nodded, "Then, my name is Y/F/N."
"If you're asked who you work for, what do you tell them?" She asked. You pursed your lips for a moment.
"...uh, you? Miss Ozaki Kouyou?"
Kouyou shook her head. "You work for the organisation."
"The Port Mafia?"
"Yes. That's your reply. In this line of work you don't answer just to me, you also answer to Ougai."
"Who?"
"The boss of the Port Mafia," she clarified, "the kingpin of the organisation. You must have already seen Mr. Mori with Elise, yes?"
You frowned, confused. "...Elise?"
"The young blonde girl who accompanies him."
"Oh, yeah, her! She's adorable," you said, with a smile. "She's his daughter, right? I mean, I just assumed, but I didn't know if it'd be rude to bring it up at all. They don't look alike, so maybe...adoption? I don't know."
"...no, that's not quite it..." she began, tentatively. "You shouldn't ask about her, though. Don't bring it up in front of them, or anybody for that fact. Perish the thought, now. Simply do not ever think about it."
"...I don't..." you began with a shake of your head, utterly confused. "Okay...sure. Is that another rule?"
"Consider it most crucial," she answered, stone faced. Despite having such a graceful face painted with fine, expensive makeup, her expression was no less unnerving. You could only blink at her.
"...alright. Anything else?"
"'Anything else?'" Kouyou repeated, before releasing an airy giggle. "Certainly- we may be here for some time, my dear."
"Oh, I'll be getting a lot of kisses then," you grinned, and she laughed once more. "Am I right?"
"...you are, yes. In which case..." Kouyou slowly leaned over and brushed her soft red lips against your own. When she drew back, she gave you a small smile. "Well done, my darling."
Danny: "Give it up, Colleen. Before you get yourself hurt." Colleen: "Over your dead body, chum!" Danny: "Colleen, you wanted this duel and now you've had it. I hope you're satisfied. Now you're going to surrender or I'm going to break your arm. D'you hear me, girl? I really will break it!" Colleen: "You and how many other-- Oww!! Alright, already, I surrender! Hey, Danny, what's with the grumps? We had a pretty good workout and you won the duel to boot..." Marvel Premiere #24 by Chris Claremont, Pat Broderick, Phil Rache, Vinnie Colletta, and Karen Mantlo
I've talked a bit about this scene before in regards to the Danny side of things-- K'un-Lun's societal sexism and Danny's relationships with women who fight, and the way that each bit of culture shock in this early period fed into his frustration and homesickness for K'un-Lun-- but this time I want to focus on Colleen, and how compellingly this scene establishes her character and reflects her pivotal role in the Iron Fist world at this time.
This scene opens the issue, flinging us into a different type of action than we've grown used to in these stories-- not a desperate battle against an enemy, but a casual sparring match between two friends. Or at least, that's how Colleen sees it; as the fight goes on, we come to realize how the perspectives of the two combatants profoundly differ. Danny is uncomfortable and upset; he doesn't want to fight her, he's been raised with the philosophy that attacking a woman, under any circumstances, is forbidden. But Colleen doesn't care. In fact, as his protestations become more adamant, she begins to mess with him. To tease him. To see if she can push him past that mental block so that they can just, you know, have some fun.
Colleen Wing in this early period existed as a bit of an anchor within the world of Iron Fist. With both Danny and her father, Professor Wing, ensconced in far-flung things-- mystic realms, magical powers, epic revenge quests, ninja death cults-- Colleen is grounded. Down-to-Earth. While we don't actually see the Nightwing Restorations duo in action for quite a while, its existence is established early-on, cementing Colleen's career as an experienced professional butt-kicker. She is very likely older than Danny (at least, Misty certainly is). And when this strange, angry, damaged boy arrives from another dimension, wielding unearthly kung fu skills and the powers of a dragon, she takes him under her wing (pun maybe intended) and does something that probably not many people would do in that situation: She hangs out with him. She treats him like a regular person. She likes him and thinks his skills are neat, but she isn't in awe of him the way her father is. This is the same Colleen who refused to cater to Misty's self-pity after losing her arm, who treated her beloved friend as a tough and resilient surviver until Misty finally began to see herself that way too. With Danny, she goes, "So, you're this amazing fighter, huh? Cool, let's fight."
And that's exactly what we see here. Colleen is not afraid of Danny's legendary abilities. She's not intimidated by him at all (she calls him "chum", and earlier in the scene tells him to "quit futzing around"...<3). If he's gonna go easy on her because of some twisted-up moral quandary, fine, then she'll go right ahead and kick his ass. All she is asking for here is his friendship and respect. She has no time for his sexist hand-wringing. She wants him to fight her like an equal. To fight her like a friend. And Colleen Wing is stubborn enough and confident enough to risk a broken arm-or-two to make that happen.
P.S. The facial expressions here by penciller Pat Broderick are wonderful. The realism and attention to detail in this fight (a staple of these early Iron Fist issues) make it all the more fun and impactful.
P.P.S. "I am a woman. Not a girl." Chris Claremont, I am giving you the biggest of high fives.
My Opinion on Calypso and Caleo in HOO
Alright, it's time to talk about this because I love the smell of fresh controversy in the morning. So today, I'm going to be expressing my opinion on the character Calypso and the ship Caleo in The Heroes of Olympus. Keep in mind that this is simply my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
I'll be honest and straightforward. I don't really like Calypso and I don't ship Caleo.
Sure, I get that it must've been hard for Calypso. She was cursed to fall in love with heroes who eventually had to leave. She was abandoned on an island with no one else for company just for supporting her father in a war, resulting in her missing eons of change in the world. She must've been really lonely and upset and sick of having her heart broken. But that's no excuse for her to be so mean, especially because she wasn't like that when we saw her initially. In TBOTL, she was so sweet. How can someone so soft-spoken and polite become so nasty? I was hoping that after she stops being mad we could get to see the Calypso we saw in the original PJO series. But apparently, that Calypso is gone. It seems like her entire personality was changed just to make her a "tough girl" (which isn't exactly the character's fault). It's just that so many writers assume that to make a female character strong she can't have any soft traits. But in TBOTL, Calypso was strong and caring and kind at the same time. So if you ask me if I like Calypso in BOTL, yes, absolutely. But if you ask me if I like Calypso in HOH and TOA? No, I don't.
I also don't like her relationship with Leo. Okay, maybe I'm a bit biased about this since I'm in love with Leo myself, but the whole thing just happened so quickly. We needed an entire book for Frazel, an entire book for Jiper, a whole dam series for Percabeth and you're telling me these two fell in love in the span of four chapters? Like, is falling in love really that easy? I don't think so. What Leo and Calypso have just doesn't seem deep enough for me. And their relationship is kind of toxic as well. Like in TOA, Calypso never tried to understand Leo or actually acknowledge his help. She acts as if Leo is worth nothing. I deeply dislike the way she treats Leo. And for Leo, I feel like he doesn't genuinely love Calypso. I feel like he wanted to go rescue her because he felt like he finally had someone who chose him, someone who needed him. Because for once, he wasn't the seventh wheel. The odd one out. The second option. Also, I kind of get the feeling that Calypso was there just so that Leo could get a love interest and not be a seventh wheel. But Leo deserved more than that. He deserved a different kind of love. He deserved coming home to find that he belongs, to find that there are people who care about him, that his friends need him. He deserved acceptance from his surroundings to actually not feel like a seventh wheel. He needed to find that coming back to life was worth it because he has friends, he has a family. I feel like just a romantic relationship can't give him that, especially one with Calypso, who knows nothing of his trauma and experiences.
So there you have it, that's why I don't like Calypso and don't ship Caleo. Please don't hate on me for this because it's just my opinion. Keep in mind that you can have a different opinion and disagree with mine, and that's okay.
Yours in demigodishness and all that, peace out. :)
