充実のメンバーによる「聖母マリア」曲集。
コンクリート内壁の教会だが、響きすぎることはなく、歌と器楽がくっきりと聴こえた。
ペルゴ��ージのスターバト・マーテルは、やっぱり清澄と少しの苦さに加えて、ほのかなエロティシズムを感じてしまう。
ハッセとポルポラの二人のサルヴェ・レジーナを初めて聴いた。私的には断然ポルポラの曲が印象的。メリハリが効いて、オペラアリアのようで(ポルポラらしいということか)、いきいきとした曲調が素晴らしい。澤江衣里さんも心地よさそうに歌っていたような。
ロンドンのヘンデルのライバル、ポルポラ。一人は歴史に輝かしく名を残し、もう一人は忘れ去られた。でも、こうして聴くと、ポルポラはヘンデルの好敵手に相応しく、「同じ土俵」で対峙し、ほんの少しの違いで退場したのだろうと想像させられる。魅力的な作曲家だ。
このト長調のサルヴェ・レジーナ、YouTubeで探すと、へ長調のサルヴェ・レジーナが人気曲のようで多く出てくるのだが、この曲は僅かで見つけるのにちょっと手間取った。
