Veruschka wearing Giorgio di Sant’ Angelo photographed by Richard Avedon in 1972
But who is Veruschka?
An actress, artist and model and with an impressive height of 190 cm (6ft 3in) and a natural ability to transform.
Born in an old and noble German family in 1939, she didn’t have an easy childhood, despite her family’s wealth. Her father was a member of the German Resistance, who was killed when she was three years old after an attempt to assassinate Hitler. She spent the next few years in Gestapo camps.
When she was 20, she moved to Florence to study textile design, where she was discovered and started to model. During the 60s and 70s, with her slender figure and captivating face, she inspired the most prominent photographers and designers.
Veruschka was also a pioneer in body painting, having numerous photoshoots where she wears nothing but body paint, blending in the environment as perfectly as one can.

INSTAGRAM CHIC: LADY GAGA IN CELINE & GIORGIO DI SANT' ANGELO
Lady Gaga took to her Instagram story to post a series of black-and-white photos of her latest look, which she wore while filming a couple of interviews for "Joker: Folie à Deux"!

The superstar is seen wearing a very tomboy-ish outfit which includes a Celine mens loose cotton poplin shirt in black ($750).
A vintage gem are the 1990s grey herringbone wool shorts with pleated details and wide waistband which are by Giorgio di Sant' Angelo‘s easy-to-wear brand Collectible Gold!
A black flat cap and suspenders completed the look.
Shop:
Celine Loose Shirt ($750.00)
For the short and black nails, Miho used the Aprés Gel Couleur in "Birnam Wood". Both the base and top coats are by Presto.

Richard Avedon (American, 1923–2004) Giorgio di Sant' Angelo, Veruschka and Ara Gallant Dress by Giorgio di Sant' Angelo, hair and makeup by Ara Gallant New York, December 7, 1973 Veruschka's height (6'3" - 190 cm.) is put to good use here. Giorgio di Sant' Angelo (1933-1989) was an Italian-born American fashion designer of noble descent. He was known for creating ethnic-inspired looks early in his career, for which he won the prestigious American Coty Fashion Critic's award in 1970. Using fabrics like tie-dyed chiffon, leather & cotton, he created romantic clothing that reflected the hippie culture of the era. But his innovative use of knitwear, which he continuously developed throughout his career, was often his signature and an influence on other designers. Ara Gallant (1932–1990) was an American hairstylist for Vogue, and later a photographer.

INSTAGRAM CHIC: LADY GAGA ROCKS GIORGIO DI SANT’ ANGELO AND PERCY LAU IN LOS ANGELES
Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy having my tea with a dose of new Gaga fashion every morning? Woke up to a new set of beautiful Instagram with the caption “Breakfast at Tripanny’s “. Let’s delve!

It has always been a wish of mine to see Gaga wear a design by late Italian-Argentinian designer Giorgio di Sant’ Angelo.
Giorgio was known for creating ethnic-like designs that were loved by Madonna, Lorde and Twiggy.
Our girl chose a black silk jersey wrap gown with deep V-neck, elongated sleeve ends and red, green & yellow accents.

These trippy sunglasses were also on my wishlist for ever since laying my eyes on them!
It’s the AXIS Y BLACK sunglasses with cut illusion and red lenses by Percy Lau, whose name is no stranger in the La Maison Gaga fashion archive.
