Now, I'm still waiting for some stuff to air, so this isn't a complete list. Also, the last title isn't exactly one that I'm super enjoying because it's butchering the original, but I'm sticking with it because I like the franchise. I recommend the manga instead of the anime.

Animanga that exceeded all my expectations

The only one I can think of is Suzumiya Haruhi. It didn't exceed all my expectations because they were high from the start, but goddamn. I despise the fact that I came into the show knowing only the memes and opening clip, thinking it was gonna be absolute weeb garbage (because back in the old days it was much easier to not run into spoilers and I'm not even sure if the novel was already being fantranslated at the time), only to find out that it actually fucking slaps. Can you imagine how pissed I was. That I couldn't hate this bullshit of a show. Also endless eight. That shit was traumatizing even though I caught on quick and skipped most of it.

Top 3 Unpopular animanga I really love

I won't say unpopular but these are definitely underrated.

Tsurune (I mean the novel; the anime doesn't deserve much recognition beyond the good animation and sound design, imo)

Nurarihyon no Mago (I know it's been over for more than a decade and the fandom is long dead, but it was temporarily revived by the recent new chapters, and it was criminally underrated in the west back when it was still being published)

Gangsta (used to be really popular when it was on-going, but the fandom lost its hype completely both in the west and in Japan after it entered hiatus because of the author's health)

Oh, yeah, here's a second post about Gintama's Live-action adaptations. I'm a total completionist so I not only watched the second movie, I had to find the Mitsuba arc and then @sebfreak pointed me to the other miniseries, so... (sorry if it's a long post, while I'm not drawing my brain can't stop)

Right, the Mitsuba arc

Loved they include the spicy parfait scene, I mean, the cgi is what it is, but I have a lot of respect for 'em even trying,

Zaki's afro? chef's kiss, simply delicious

I mean:

Also, Hijikata's reacion to the spicy snacks? delicious. These guys are good at funny faces.

Loved the Gin's pretending to be sleeping scene, missed the part about the black circles under his eyes, tho.

(Look, it was very difficult to find the three parts of the drama, I got 'em from 3 different places and every place has it's own subtitles on indonesian or french. Also, the quality? oh my, the quality was terrible by the third part)

This is a fucking sad arc, daaaamn, and this being a drama... well, it's even more dramatic. I mean, that last scene on the roof? it always breaks my heart.

And now, for something completely different, the mini-series thingy.

The episodes they choose to adapt are... interesting, I mean who in their right mind chooses those three? okay, I love how weird the decision is.

I love the details on the one were Kagura can't sleep, I mean, the Dragon Ball mangas, the justaway alarm clock, Gintoki's pajamas.

Holy shit, the make up, the Napoleon thing, the radio drama, "I didn't get enough sleep, and I'm starting to hear strange things"; I love this episode.

And then, the one were Hijikata can't smoke, maaaan, this episode was like a fever dream in the anime and the live-action is so on point. The whole Namek planet thing, "I'm going to defeat Breeza!", "I'm trying to revive Grillin!", the cgi is not that bad, I mean, slimy grimmy Shen Long could've looked worst. Also, I insist, Hijikata's actor is so stupid good at expressions.

And, finally, the dentist episode, another fever dream. I'm very afraid of the dentist so, yeah, can confirm that People of All Ages Hate the Dentist!. Also, again, their expressions!; Hasegawa!; the treatment! This episode may have worsen my fear of the dentist

I love the way this live-actions thingies keep the whole Gintama spirit, I love that the first scene on the Rules are Made to be Broken movie is the still shot from Yorozuya HQ and it's just these idiots talking over it. If I've watched this on the cinema I would've cheered like the stupid weeabo I am (I told a friend yesterday "I went from 0 to otaku in like 3 moths" so there).

I love how they all try very hard not to laugh in the scenes with this guy, they failed, but I love it.

We've already talked about Zura's gender but... come on! how fucking amazing they are??!

Oh, and the Katsurap and then Pako (I mean, they changed her name here, but I still like Pako more 'cause Ginko is a different character, come on!) carrying her on her back.

"It's the Shogun!" aaah, you didn't fail me, Rules are Made to be Broken.

And then the hairdresser thing. I can't stop thanking you, Rules are Made to be Broken.

I guess the whole chip on Toshi's neck is weird, but maybe the whole sword thing would've been longer to explain so probably it was best for simplicity.

On that note, "Sakatashi"

So, yeah, I can forgive the the chip thing ONLY for the scene at Gengai's shop. Toshi, pilot the EVA.

I can't believe how close to the original is the scene were Gintoki catches Toshi by his neck and they all run away from those Shinsengumi guys.

We have little Takasugi action in this one, but hell, I don't care, I love his scenes with Bansai. Also, Bansai, of course.

Now, this is were I feel this goes weird, Bansai's gonna try to kill the (freaking) Shogun in a total different location form the train thing. It's... weird. Tho, Bansai looks amazing on his motorcycle.

I've said this a thousand time already, but I don't care, Kagura's really Gintoki's clone, I bloody love her.

Now, I don't fell Gintoki has a real motivation to go a fight Bansai in Edo, it never convinced me. I grateful for the Raccoon Bus scene, tho, I laughed like a maniac (look, I know I need to sleep more), but... dunno "then Takasugi Shinsuke will start killing people!" wasn't enough for me. Oh, and Zura, I love that they use every excuse to use Zura but still... weird?

I really like to like the first part of Gintoki vs Bansai but... too matrix~y too... the choreography is kind of cool, the shots between fights too but the whole matrix thing... I didn't like it.

BUT! the strings thing, that I liked.

And then the last scene at the dango place, I liked it a lot, I love when they did that on the anime averytime.

I enjoy writing even though I haven’t really done it in years and I am currently working on a gintama fanfiction with sporadic updates (DM for link).

(Also I like using tone indicators when I find that my message isn't getting across the way I want it to. If you have a problem with that please realise that it does not matter if it seems awkward I just like being able to communicate).

I like listening to Hip-Hop and R&B. I especially like the Roots, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Verb T, MF DOOM, Thundercat, Tyler, The Creator, Kendrick Lamar, the Pharcyde, LONS, ATCQ and De La Soul.

what’s your phone wallpaper : It's a piece of Shura (Yu Yu Hakusho) sleeping while cuddled in Sesshomaru's (Inuyasha) mokomoko. Why? Just RP things. Why that piece in particular? The composition worked well with the way I have all my apps situated on my phone.

last song you listened to: Uhhh I honestly don't remember, but it was something on the radio. I can barely be trusted to remember what I had for breakfast, much less remember what I listened to last.

currently reading : I read so many manga/manhua/manhwa that it's wild to consider me making a list of what i'm currently reading.

last movie :  Ehh--- I think it might've been 'The Legend of Hei'? Tenka, confirm? Deny?

last show : I'm going to answer in terms of a show that I recall watching from start to finish and not just me randomly going 'I want to rewatch that episode again'. In this case: The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting' is the last show I recall watching.

what are you wearing right now : Uhh... basically homewear, I guess?

piercings / tattoos? : I'm allergic to pain, so neither, but I've seen a lot of cute earrings and it had me considering. I don't think i'd ever do a tattoo because they're permanent and that's a huge commitment to make. I'd have to think forever about a design, a meaning, a location, an artist, etc. It's a lot of pressure for me to think about. I would take too long to think of something and it's just not worth it. This is why I never touched Animal Crossing, because I knew i'd just take too long just analyzing everything and needing everything to be JUST RIGHT. So, if the question was a preference kinda question, i'd be more likely to go for a piercing.

glasses ? contacts?: Glasses. I can't really do contacts. That said, my glasses normally sit atop the top of my head like overqualified headbands. My prescription safety glasses at work have been used for their actual purpose more than my actual glasses. I've gone to the movies countless of times and went: ah-- I forgot my glasses. I'm dumb, yes.

last thing you ate? : The menu said 'chicken noodle' and it was under 'noodle and soups' so I assumed it was chicken noodle soup. I was wrong. idk what it actually is. I just know it's chicken noodle'.

favorite color(s) : Pink. Purple and black are close seconds. In terms of favorite colors from a sentimental/nostalgic reason: Jungle green and eggplant purple for dA RP shipping reasons.

current obsession : I don't think I have an obsession at the moment. IF I did, i'd be so gungho about it that you'd probably not see/hear me for quite some time. I'm currently just living every day like i'm a floating plank of wood on a calm ocean surface. My last obsession was... I think... watching a particular streamer I really liked. To be very subtle, he is known for using a sprout in Among us. Pretty sure that's right. Prior to that my obsession was the 'Trash of the Counts Family' novel until the licensing got pulled. Before that was the 'The King's Avatar' novel.

favorite fictional character : Oh man... I love so many. Haru Miura truly has a very special place in my heart. Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho was such a big thing for me when I was younger. Don't get me started on how I was very into Tokuchi Toua (one outs) or Hiruma Youichi (Eyeshield 21). Shout out to Tatsumi Takeshi (Giant Killing) and Tsubaki Daisuke (Giant Killing). Gintoki (Gintama) truly was a time where my friends thought if I'd marry anyone, it would be him. I'd find a way to crossover to another dimension and marry him lol. This is really just me talking about past obsessions, yes.

Chắc là hiếm có dịp nào xem phim hoà nhạc như thế này. Buổi chiếu miễn phí do Japan Foundation tổ chức. Bộ phim Opus được ông Ryuichi Sakamoto thực hiện vài tháng trước khi mất vì bệnh năm 2023, có thể coi là màn trình diễn cuối cùng của ông trước khi tạm biệt thế giới.

Mặc dù không phải là người hâm mộ hoặc nghiền ngẫm thuộc giai điệu tất cả các bản nhạc của ông Ryuichi Sakamoto, nhưng cũng có một số bản nhạc yêu thích, nhớ những lần đầu tiên nghe được, thường là gắn với một thứ gì khác cũng rất tuyệt.

Bản nhạc nổi tiếng nhất của ông có lẽ là Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. Phổ biến đến mức nhiều người quen giai điệu nhưng không biết tác giả. Cá nhân cũng biết ông từ bản nhạc đó, đúng hơn là nghe phiên bản của Utada Hikaru phát trên radio XoneFm, sau đó nghe bản gốc.

Bibo No Aozora nghe từ 1 playlist nhạc trầm lắng trên 8tracks để ảnh bìa là... Gintama (dạng playlist fan made cho tác phẩm hay nhân vật). Sau này biết đó là nhạc phim Babel - một bộ phim rất hay về "ngôn ngữ" và "thấu hiểu".

Bài A Flower Is Not A Flower thì nghe bản cover từ một tài khoản lạ lùng trên SoundCloud rồi tìm nghe bản gốc. Bài Rain nhạc phim The Last Emperor nghe ngẫu nhiên trên Youtube. Hai bản nhạc này không xuất hiện trong Opus.

Gần đây nhất thì ấn tượng với bản nhạc Aqua mà ông Ryuichi Sakamoto sáng tác cho phim Monster của đạo diễn Hirokazu Koreeda. Xem đến đoạn nhạc sĩ chơi Aqua là hồi tưởng lại ngay kết thúc của Monster, quá hay, quá đẹp, quá xúc động. Chắc đây cũng là bản nhạc thích nhất trong buổi chiếu Opus hôm nay.

Còn nhiều bộ phim khác mà ông Ryuichi Sakamoto làm nhạc. Lúc nào đó sẽ xem dần. Có lẽ sẽ bắt đầu với The Last Emperor và Toni Takitani trước.

I know that Yamadera Koichi will never record a fan servicey drama CD and probably never has. I know. But like. If he did I think I would have clear skin and a sleep schedule.

I listened to like half of the first koyasu takehito episode of the Gintama radio specials where they talk about his very legendary past and like. Man. Man. The seiyuu idol nowadays freaking wish. That was a different time but he is also a whole different other level. Won't someone cast him as a proper romantic male lead next season so I can Feed. Like he can be evil but I want him to be talking seductively the whole entire time. Can someone sell me a copy of Darling. Nobu can I have your copy of Darling.

Though to be fair back in the day I never got into Weiss because ummmmm well back in the day I didn't really follow any of the four. I eventually developed a vague interest in Miki shinichiro but Weiss was never for me sadly. Which is sad because like. No one does it like Koyasu! Literally no one. But i was busy having brainrot about Saiyuki. And now I've missed the window for that kind of brainrot I think.
