While he might not have the academical prowess that Flavio could look upto, the Ravenclaw does admire the professor's realism and wisdom. Kettleburn suffered extreme losses throughout his life: His heart was broken and his limbs were stolen - and yet, he keeps a positive and quite optimistic outlook on the future. This upbeat personality that Kettleburn provides, despite his life trying to knock him down, is what Flavio admires first and foremostly.

Even the most knowledgeable person can’t teach something if nobody listens, and that is the case with Professor Binns. Flavio’s general dismay towards the ghost comes from the fact that even he himself almost fell asleep during the lectures, something that shouldn’t be the case. Though, despite his negative opinion towards Binns, he does appreciate that the History of Magic teacher values his dedication and ambition to the subject, awarding him reasonable grades at all times.

Nero appears to be more of a loner, he isn’t quite one for the talking and he prefers to keep to himself. He much rather spends his time analyzing and observing others, judging them quietly while making mental notes on their behaviour and their vices, in case he would need to use this kind of knowledge against them at some point.

Despite his more intimidating appearance, he is a quite harmless person, driven by knowledge of ancient magic and cultures. Therefore it wasn’t uncommon for him, to skip classes he thought of as less desirable in order to study the curses and hexes which were used to fortify the vaults against intruders

Obviously, not many were delighted about one of their own dabbling in hexes and curses, therefore Nero was more avoided than embraced even among his own house members. This led to the young Slytherin shutting himself more and more off, becoming even more focused on solving the mysteries of the vaults.

Only shortly before he was sealed into the Portrait vault, Nero realized that Professor Rakepick, the only person that “recognized his potential” and “was willing to help him decipher the riddles of the vaults” actually was a traitor, though it was too late. He had already walked into her trap.

And just as he thought, he would have to spend the rest of eternity in a portrait, he was saved by nobody less than his little brother, who pieced together the position of the vault primarily due to Nero’s detailed notes.

Despite all expectations, Nero merely apologizes for the inconveniences he has created for Flavio before he apparates out of the Vault and continues to hunt down the last vault as well as his former associate Patricia Rakepick. After all, it was her who “stole” his eye. And as the old saying goes “An eye for an eye”.

Once Rakepick was taken care of, Nero returned to his family home after an extended period of time, only to find everything like he left it. His family had the respect for him, not to touch his belongings or rearrange his room. They wanted to have it just like it was before he left the mansion.

The return of the formerly suspected Death Eater to society, was a hard step for Nero but he did it nonetheless, he moved out of the family estate and into a more rural era, applying to multiple places as a cursebreaker before the Gringotts Bank deemed themselves needy of a expert in terms of hexes and curses.

Caitlyn, in regards to her own family often feels like the odd one out. She doesn’t consider herself an academic genius like the rest of her family. Her interest doesn’t lie in spellwork or history but in fiction. She adores fictional stories, she almost devours every piece of pop culture that is being published and she is incredibly knowledgeable about all kinds of trends, but it doesn’t feel like she belongs among the brightest minds of her wizarding generation. At least, to her.

The young Gryffindor spends a majority of her time reading all sorts of comics or drawing her own little one about a girl that fights off mythical monsters to save her school. The idea comes from Caitlyn's inner desire to no longer stand in the shadow of her two older brothers and show the world that she herself also is capable of fighting and defending Hogwarts when it's needed.

She first became a hero to someone else when she actively skipped classes, knowingly she might fail her classes in order to comfort Beatrice Haywood, who was trapped in the portrait for the majority of her first year in Hogwarts. This loyalty towards the young Hufflepuff is later on rewarded by Caitlyn being one of the only people Beatrice trusts enough to open up to.

After being freed from the Portrait, the Hufflepuff had to endure a lot of pity and belittling, especially from her older sister. Opposed to that, Beatrice felt that Caitlyn actually cared, that she was invested in the wellbeing of the Hufflepuff and that nothing would stop her from making sure that everything is in order. This and the fact that both girls realized that they somehow suffered from standing in the shadow of their older siblings, formed a bond that could very well be described as friendship.

These two grew closer and closer as time progressed and it's no wonder to their classmates that they became a couple shortly before graduating. Their continuous exposure to each other, after all, made them fall in love with each other and the story for sure, doesn’t end there.

Sylas is a very dedicated person. Compassion and philanthropy are the two strongest traits that you would associate with him. He counts generally as very excitable and curious with a huge interest in riddles and mysteries.

While it might seem a little childish, Sylas is a big fan of giving his guests a riddle that they may solve till their next visit and if they succeed, they earn themselves a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie.

That is mainly due to Sylas’ love for baking. He especially loves making Chocolate chip banana-bread - something that he quickly became famous for in the Cecere and Haywood family.

Sylas is also the family member that highly values festivities and goes to great lengths to make family traditions as well as holidays as enjoyable as possible, he even researches muggle board games that he and his family can play while the kids are home.

While she was a very strict person during her job, Delilah has grown to be much more calm during her retirement. She now has way less responsibilities and less on her plate so she can focus on what she loves to do: writing books. Her favourite topic appears to be murder mysteries and she always has very elaborate ruses on her mind. She loves to sit back and watch her husband’s unending enthusiasm sweep everyone off their feet.

Often regarded as the matriarch of the Ceccere Family, Delilah's naturally dominant and strong appearance helps her greatly to earn the respect and attention of guests and occasionally family members in order to hold a speech and or criticize behavior.

In order to write her books as realistic as possible, Delilah spend a lot of her time studying human anatomy, efficient ways to murder people, simply biology and forensics alongside all kind of other methods of science and deduction.

Even though she therefore has a lot of knowledge on how to get rid of people, the fighting days of “demolishing Delilah” as her colleagues at the ministry used to call her, are by far over. Nowadays she just likes to tell anecdotes and stories from her times as an auror

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

Born into a wealthy family with land and wealth in the southwest of Scotland, Flavio wasn’t like the other kids that lived in the city closeby. He never went out to play with his dog or attended muggle school. Instead he spent a lot of time inside - reading, writing, drawing. Much to the pleasure of his parents, Flavio showed academic personality traits and interests at a young age.

His passion for these kinds of interests were probably mostly fueled by his mother Delilah, who decided to take some time off of her current project and write a handful of books with vocabulary and grammar for Flavio to learn reading with. One could easily say that Mrs Ceccere, was without doubt, highly concerned with her son's education and did everything in her power to further Flavio's thirst for knowledge..

In addition, around the same age as his fascination for literary topics arose, his body also displayed the random bursts of magical energy that actually confirmed him to be a member of the wizarding society. Much to the relief of his parents, since it has taken a prolonged time for Flavio’s ability to manifest

While Flavio was not old enough to quite understand why Nero had to be gone for such a long time at once, he still was thrilled every time his older brother came home over the holidays. Sadly, his older brother did not share Flavio’s enthusiasm and often hid away in his room, mildly ignoring the Ravenclaw to take care of his own studies and research. On the rare occasion that the two brothers actually did something together, it often resulted in Nero teaching Flavio about ancient magic and long lost civilizations. Nero especially loved teaching about the Roman Empire and their superiority towards other nations of their time.

Not long after Flavio had learned how to read, his little sister Caitlyn was born. Now with two kids on their hands that needed to learn about the world, the Ceccere’s delegated some of the educational responsibility regarding the Ravenclaw to their oldest son. While Nero first protested against this decision, he later on gave in and got to recognize that spending time with his younger brother wasn't as bad as it seemed to be.

Flavio grasped a lot of knowledge about history, politics, science, spellwork and so on and so forth from his older brother. Nero took special interest in teaching Flavio how the world works, what actions usually cause which reactions, how to read people's body language and how to remember specific information for a long amount of time. Something that the Ravenclaw couldn’t possibly have learnt from his shrewd but reclusive brother are social skills.

With the beginning of Nero’s fifth year at Hogwarts, the letters that the Slytherin sent home became increasingly more cryptic. Some were coded in a sort of alien speech, others disintegrated into black dust after staring at them too long. It became sort of maddening. This went on for a few months and nobody in Flavio’s family was even close to deciphering any of these letters. They contemplated visiting their son at school but feared that this could make, whatever it is what is going on right now, even worse. So they just collected these letters and sealed them away. This was, till there were no more letters.

Around the summer break, the letters stopped coming. In fact, there was no more communication at all. And worry began to place itself within the family. While Nero was known to be moody from time to time, he was always punctual or at least, excused his absence. But neither did the Slytherin return to the family estate for the summer break nor did he write any more letters. With worry steadily growing, the Ceccere’s tried to get in contact with every possible person that might know where Nero could have gone, to no avail. Even Hogwarts Headmaster stated that he hasn’t seen Mr. Nero Ceccere in a while.

This means that the formerly so harmonious and caring family was now forced to live under the impression that their oldest son had gone missing … or worse. Which took a toll on everyone's mood for a short amount of time. But they never stopped searching for Nero, they never gave up hope to one day reunite with their long lost son.

By the time Flavio received his Letter to Hogwarts, Nero had been missing for almost 3 years. More forcibly than anything, the Ceccere’s had tried to move on and focus on the future of their other two children. Yet when Sylas and Delilah handed Flavio the envelope they implored that Flavio should take some time off of his studies as often as possible to investigate the disappearance of Nero.

And with that, the Events of Hogwarts Mystery begin…

PERSONALITY

Intellectual: Due to his superior intellectual prowess, Flavio can be considered one of the brightest wizards of his age and time. And while it is true that Flavio has memorized a multitude of knowledge, which can be helpful in all sorts of situations, he certainly lacks streetsmarts. Therefore he might be able to quote books word for word or calculate specific statistics within seconds, but in return he has almost no social intelligence or a grip on how to deal with less theoretical problems. Yet this doesn’t stop him from taking pride in his expanded knowledge.

Perceptive : While he is not much of a spotlight character, Flavio has honed other talents in his time at Hogwarts. Instead of playing the forward hero, the Ravenclaw prefers to stay back and pay attention to his surroundings, inspecting changes in someone's body language and making mental notes of some people's behaviors. This information, as Nero has taught him, later on helps to read people like a book, knowing what they think about the people they interact with and piecing together parts of the other people like a puzzle.

Socially Awkward: Because Flavio was given into the educational care of his more reserved and reclusive brother, he never quite gained a grip on the social aptitude that the rest of his family displays. While he might be a genius on a variety of topics, he certainly appears to stumble when it comes to holding natural conversations as well as talking in front of a large sum of people. He struggles with giving wrong answers or saying the wrong thing and therefore obsesses over every word that comes out of his mouth. Therefore Flavio prefers to keep to himself and his books.

Witty: “I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed.” - While Flavio might lack the charisma that other purebloods use to charm their way into the minds of others, the Ravenclaw has found his own way with words. He uses his natural aptitude for words or ideas to create humor or counter arguments in an inventive way rather than bluntly insulting someone.

Flavio is fluent in English, German, French and Russian as well as Latin

He is highly addicted to Coffee and is only rarely seen without a cup of coffee in his hand

For the past five years or so I’ve given myself a tattoo for my birthday (in June, although due to the pandemic I had to delay it by a few months one year) and as May looms I need to start thinking about whether I’m doing it again and if so what design to get. Currently I have a bouquet of blue and purple hydrangeas on my lower back, Sailor Moon’s Spiral Heart Moon Rod on my left inner forearm, Sailor Jupiter’s second transformation wand (with the star on top) on my right inner forearm, red roses and green leaves on my left outer forearm and pink roses and green leaves on my right outer forearm.

So the questions are:

Where on my body should I put it, now my forearms are full up? I am contemplating the upper chest, in the middle (like in between the notch between the collarbones and the sternum).

What should it be? Should I keep going with flowers, or with Sailor Moon symbols, or something else? I’ve been considering something Jem and the Holograms-related, or maybe ginkgo leaves, because I like them as a symbol of persistence and resilience, also dinosaur snacks.

Inktober Day 1 Part 2

Part 2/2. This second piece is really just me rambling. That'll happen from time to time depending on the prompts. I think this is a pretty good introduction to me and who I am in general. Feel free to share what your witchsona would be!

I imagine my witchsona to be quite similar to me, tbh. I am indeed pagan, and most of the aesthetics line up with mine quite well. Though there are definitely a few things I’d add. A pointy hat that stayed up and pointy, for one. Oh, and I’d love a witchy robe or cape to go along with a long skirt. I also really want a black cat despite being mildly allergic. Nothing will stop me from having a feline familiar. I’d also absolutely have a lot more candles and a few small house plants. Definitely would go hard on the pumpkin spice every fall, too. Though if I get a jack-o-lantern, they may have some words to say about that.

Another thing I’d want is my own wand. I have a branch I’ve had for years out in the garage that I always figured I could use, but honestly I’m not sure what tree it’s from and what kind of properties it would have. I’ve always liked birch trees, so maybe I could go with that. Ginkgo trees are another favorite, but I doubt they’d be easy to find around where I live. Lots of books and journals would also suit me quite well, even if I don’t end up writing in a lot of them. Maybe some bookmarks with pressed flowers in them, too. That’s about it, though. I think I’d be very happy with that kind of aesthetic. Hopefully I can work towards that in the coming years.

My wip of all my Cookie Ocs...

Kappa Cookie- Maybe she can just be called ‘Cukey‘ cuz Cuke is short for Cucumber.... Her ability could be she jumps across a pond of lily pads and collects splash jellies that give a little HP. Her pet is Bubble Spirit... Maybe every once in awhile Kappa will look at her pet like she wants to eat it and so the Bubble Spirit distracts her with Cucumber Slice jellies. YES. Her candy will cause a few of the lily pads to blossom, when she hops on it the petal jellies will be collected.

Shine Cookie- Its starts to rain and she floats a long on a little umbrella until she calls for the sun to dry up the rain. Her pet... IDK maybe during the sunny part of her skill it will unwrap and... something? IDK. Its based off a wrapped candy and a teru teru bozu. Her candy will cause the sun shine to leave shiny jellies to be collected.

Malted Cookie- His skill is a tap dancing number for points and jellies. IDK about his pet either... His candy maybe while he dances he will gain coins, the more accurate the steps the more coins.

Ginkgo Cookie- She collects ingredient jellies (eye of newt, worms, etc) once she has enough a cauldron pops up to be stirred and it will create a health/speed boost (Ginkgo-go), she hops on her broom and NYOOOOOOOOM. Her pet is a little ginkgowl who will occasionally swoop down to grab a bear jelly and replace it with ginkgo jelly thats gives a little health boost. Candy... hm... maybe another ingredient is added occasionally to make a bigger Ginkgo-go jelly thats gives more energy...

Queen Bee Cookie- Occasionally with a wave of her honey wand she can cover several jellies with honey upping their value. Her pet will occasionally destroy obstacles and call a swarm of bees to rescue her if she falls. Her candy will cause a large number of bees to destroy several obstacles.

King Sugar Bush Cookie- ....IDK...

Coque Cookie- (I changed her name) She is covered in an egg shell shield, with each obstacle it cracks a little for egg shell shard jellies. Once the egg breaks full she gets a burst of speed with the sudden lightness. The shell will eventually be restored to do it again. Her pet lays eggs, occasionally a golden egg for points. Candy..... dunno

MothCookie- Moth can jump-double jump and then swoop scooping up near by jellies and add a jump! Occasionally his eyes will flash and destroy the obstacles in front of him. Pet will shake and hop creating little dust jellies to collect. Candy.... maybe causes a Cookie to appear and try to take a picture so you gotta jump over them for extra points.

Doctor Cookie- Maybe his regular ability can be him running by other Cookies to patch them up a bit. His candy will cause an Almond Nurse to come and restore a bit of his energy if he runs into an obstacle (gaining points if he never gets hurt) and his pet restores him with energy depending on its level.

Pumpkin Spice Cookie- Pumpkin Spice collects candy jellies to activate his special. The screen turns mostly black with little Halloween effects and Pumpkin Spice floats along to collect jellies, occasionally flashing and destroying obstacles (similar to MT). Magic Candy.... a little ghost or bat will fly in and offer candies to make his skill active quicker.

Coconut Macaroon Cookie- For her she encases herself in a coconut shell and rolls through the level for a time breaking obstacles as she goes. Her animation when she gets out is smiling and dizzy. Her combi pet puts out little Coconut gummies.

Cassava Cookie- Not sure... something involving Capoeira... His pet will protect him from obstacles occasionally by blocking him with her body causing her to cry little boba pearls to collect.

Cannoli Cookie- Havent decided... Since there is a gun Cookie I think its reasonable I can make him have a gun for a Take the gun, leave the cannoli joke... but like hes a movie star.

Wild Flower Cookie- One bar will fill turning an obstacle to a wooden log for Wild Flower to chop and collect the lumber jellies, once his second bar fills he GOES WILD and all the obstacles ahead turn to logs for him to chop! His pet is Flower Parrot (Based on the Parrot flower...) will flap its petal wings and create pollen jellies for points and that also slow down energy drain. Candy will... cause the some lumber jellies to be hard lumber jellies for more points.

Peanut Butter Cookie- Still havent figured her out...Maybe her pet could be a peanut pupa that turns into a little peanut butter and jelly fly but her... IDK.

MLQC x The Arcana Game (Asra)---------Continuation-

⚠Possible Spoilers⚠

Gavin

MC: Our next participant is officer Gavin! Go ahead Gavin, hop on stage!

Gavin: Okay..

After he saw what happened with Victor, his first impressions about the fortune teller changed, and now he was more wary and on guard than before. What if he could see right through him? What if he could read his deep secrets out loud? But his thoughts all disappeared into nought when he sat in front of Asra, who had a radiant smile that put one at ease.

The magician shuffled his deck again before repeating the same process. He was about to repeat his words as well before being interrupted by Gavin.

Gavin: I got it.

Asra proceeded without further ado, his hands supporting both Gavin's as they roamed freely above the cards. Catching a whiff of myrrh, Gavin dove deep into his memories and thoughts.

The row of pure ivory keys marched into view. They shimmered in the sparkling room as if they were the moon on a starry night, bright, beautiful, and breath-taking, and the sound they created stirred wonders in his soul. He had to get up despite all his injuries. Falling from a rooftop wasn't going to make him stick to the ground forever, his father wasn't going to make him useless, he wasn't useless, and no one had the right to call him that ... no, he had to see who was playing and singing.

He let the wind blow and sing its songs to stir the emotions, he let it bring the sweet memories of times gone and hopes for a good future ahead. He let the wind remind him that he was there in this present moment, in the gift of living. He let the wind rustle in the trees and sway the grassy wands, moving the fur of a mouse and the hair of a king all the same. He let the wind come as a wall, only to open up and allow him passage through, curling around him as if it were a soft quilt all along. He let the wind speak of adventures and rouse the noble heart into the ways of the hero whom is strong for others and willing to take on the unsurety that comes with helping others. For the wind is all this, confident and flexible, changeable and free. Yes... free. He was free! His eyes opened all so suddenly, and there he was, carried by his own free windy will!

Her fingers were limber as they danced across the keys, alighting first on ivory then gliding to ebony. Her head bent towards the keys, hair falling past serenely shut eyes. The music stand lied empty, she read only the notes within her mind. Slowly, the music seemed to fill the room to the brim, then spill out through doors and windows and cracks in the walls, while at the source slender fingers danced sweetly on as ginkgo leaves brushed them. His hazel eyes widened in adoration, and from that day onward, he took an oath of allegiance to the Queen, to always protect her and be there when she needed him.

The clicking of fingers woke him up as a strong determined wind howled within the studio. Gavin woke up from his daze, his hand grabbing tightly one of the cards once below his hands, unwillingly. He was shook and quickly let go of it as he was now completely conscious.

Asra: The unconscious is a pack of repressed feelings, hidden memories, habits, thoughts, desires and reactions. It's stronger than our consciousness, and in a way, we know more than we think we do, Gavin.

Gavin was sweating and gulping, breathing heavily and eyes wide, looking at his palm. The magician grabbed the card the officer let go of and flipped it.

Asra: The Chariot is normally in complete control of its own destiny. It hurls towards victory, unhindered by adversity. You worked hard, you stayed focused, so your drive should have been rewarded, the road was supposed to lead you right. However... your Chariot careened out of control, losing its way as it became stranded on the road.

Gavin: ...then what does the Chariot think I should do?

Asra: The strong willed Chariot tells you that sometimes, you must learn to release the reins in order to move forward.

Gavin's eyes shone for a fraction of seconds before he got up, thanking Asra for no deep reason, yet he knew what was wrong. After all, no restraints can be put on the wind. He has to and will let go of the reins, so that the wind will carry him forward...

Biography:

Lian was born in Westport Ireland to parents Li Ling Xioalong and Jei Li Zhang. The couple had their hands full with her older brother Shifan who was turning 5 at the time. Thankfully she was a quiet baby and hardly caused a fuss until she was able to walk, that was when the fun began.

When Lian was almost six her older brother was accepted into Hogwarts. Once he left the normally active and happy child would cry for hours on end wanting her big brother. Shifan was sorted into Gryffindor and would write home often, Lian would demand to sit in her father’s lap while she read the letters to him.

Much to her delight however later that year she got a little cousin who she adored from her Aunt Ying Yue and Uncle Pearman. And for five years the girl’s often saw each other having many slumber parties.

Finally once Lian was able to attend Hogwarts she was so very excited. However when it came to getting supplies they passed over Ollivander’s. This was because Lian already had a wand, something that passed from woman to woman on her mother’s side of the family. It was a wand that had seen much in it’s time and was perfect for those with a keen eye for divination.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts Lian was sorted into Ravenclaw just like her mother and father had been their first year, in her excitement she nearly tripped hurrying to join her peers at her house table.

Lian’s first years at Hogwarts were eventful. She made quite a few friends, including Dora Tonks and the oldest Weasley brothers. The girl also got herself and friends into quite a bit of trouble. In her troubles however she learned and applied curse breaking techniques giving her an appreciation for the magic.

In school Lian learned a variety of skills including healing arts, divination, and her dueling skills. These brought a few career openings in her life.

In third year Lian became the first female Zhang to be a beater on a quidditch team and during her fifth year, she became a prefect alongside her best friend Charlie.

Upon graduating Lian wasn’t sure what she was going to do, however she had to act quickly as her family would be moving back to China just a few short months after. One day she received an owl from Charlie Weasley about a new opening for a healer and about how he had put a good word in for her.

Not long after sending in her credentials and receiving acceptance she was packed and heading to Romania for her new job at the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary. Lian stayed on in what the dragonologist at the sanctuary called the healer’s hut. It was a small dorm like building for any healers that did not want to find their own place.

Lian was quite good at her job, and had even been help with the Chinese Fireballs on location due to her mother and grandmother having taught her a thing or two while growing up and visiting China. She wholeheartedly loved hatchling season, often getting a bit too close for comfort according to the sanctuary workers.

After a few months on base she noticed a few blokes coming in for minor bumps and bruises quite often. When she brought this up to Charlie during afternoon tea and he went a bit red round the ears whilst assured her that he would handle it. Saying that if they had to go to a healer for a few bruises then they shouldn’t be working with some of the most spontaneous creatures in the wizarding world. Not long after this Lian and Charlie began to see one another, much to the chagrin of quite a few of the other researchers and healers. After a month or so Lian moved into Charlie’s small home nearby.

After a couple years she and Charlie went to vacation in Egypt with the rest of the Weasley’s. There she met with Bill again and the two began to discuss his job, which led her to applying with Gringotts and quickly being accepted for jobs in Egypt.

Charlie was actually really excited for Lian, knowing that this was something she would be able to enjoy doing. The duo discussed the distance between them and came to the decision to make it work knowing fully well that they could handle it if they worked on it together. Though once in a while there were tears and ,on the rare side, arguments they held strong knowing that the other was doing what they loved and that they loved each other dearly despite the distance.

During the first task for the Triwizard tournament Lian took off on leave in order to be a healer for any injuries that the dragons may cause during the travel and task. She however was not able to attend the final task and did not hear about what happened until a letter reached her from Bill and Charlie.

When Bill took his desk job at Gringotts Lian had been in correspondence with Dumbledore about joining the order and starting to work as assistant to Madam Pomfrey in the Hospital wing during the 1995-96 school year. During the year she was interviewed by Dolores Umbridge and with great difficulty keeping a straight face informed the toad woman of her studying under the resident mediwitch during her school years and her years working as a healer in Romania. When the interview turned to personally to Lian’s connection with the Chinese Ministry and her family the young woman ended the interview by standing and promptly exiting the room.

Right before the winter Holidays and Arthur Weasley’s attack Lian and Charlie had made their way to China on a visit to her family. She discussed some of the happening at Hogwarts with her older brother who was by then an ambassador to the Chinese Ministry and let Charlie visit with the women in his family who tended to the Fireballs.

Upon her return to Hogwarts however she was sacked and was ‘politely’ told that perhaps it would be best if she returned to Romania. This was because the school needed top of the line healers and not patchwork ones. Needless to say she nearly laughed herself to tears upon hearing from the twins. That laughter turned to shock however when she heard about the battle at the ministry.

That summer, after almost five years of dating, Lian and Charlie decided to quickly tie the knot. The couple only gave the burrow a weeks notice before popping in. It was a quiet ceremony only involving Charlie’s family and a couple friends. Fleur helped her dress herself up and Bill gave her away. At the end of it all Lian kept her own last name, Charlie didn’t seem to mind this decision simply happy that they had done so before the entire world went to hell in a hand basket.

During the later parts of 1996 and into early 1997 Lian and Charlie remained in Romania making their connections while Lian kept in contact with her cousins back in China. A few of her cousins even joined them at the sanctuary. Lian returned for Dumbledore’s funeral hugging her younger cousin Adrinette as the girl cried.

Shortly after Bill’s wedding Lian was also questioned and some time after Charlie’s release was to be sent back to Romania. That is until she was stopped by the ministry with a ‘request’ from Headmaster Snape to come back back to Hogwarts peacefully to resume her work as a healer.

That school year was very hard on Lian. The woman saw many of the students who came in and out of the wing like a revolving door. Lian was tested as she healed many curses and even marks from where students had been hit with jinxes and even fists. There was little she could do however since a close eye was kept on her due to her husband’s family’s connections to Harry Potter. Her letters were also heavily watched. In a letter to her husband and in laws she mentioned in a sort of code that Ginny was often ‘visiting her’ in the hospital wing keeping Lian company. This was to ensure all the Weasley’s she could that Ginny was under her care and she was trying to keep her safe.

The night Teddy Lupin was born Lian was able to get permission from Serverus Snape to visit an ‘ailing’ friend. After a few hours she was one of the first people to hold little Teddy Lupin and was named Godmother alongside Harry Potter.

When the battle of Hogwarts raged Lian was in the midst of it trying to protect all the students she could. Once the hour was called she was right alongside the others gathering whomever she could working to heal who and what she could. When she was told about Fred she broke into tears holding tight to the first redhead within reach, Percy. The man held onto her and muttered how it should have been him.

During the last of the battle Lian was dueling with Ginny and Luna being joined by Hermione. Lian pulled Ginny away from the curse thrown her way by Bellatrix Lestrange and held her sister-in-law close as Molly dueled and defeated the woman. After the war ended Lian found her best friend lying next to her husband and cried over her best friend’s death. Soon her husband joined her and the two simply held one another as they sobbed for all those they had lost.

Post war Lian stayed in the UK and helped Andromeda care for Teddy during her free months and using some of her own money to pay for the things that the two needed. She of course kept in touch with her husband and visited his family frequently. After professor Flitwick retired following the second wizarding war Lian was able to take up the position as Charms professor and head of Ravenclaw house. She held close to her previous professor’s beliefs and went onto teach students to the best of her abilities.

Lian and Charlie eventually settled down in a cottage in Hogsmead with their young daughter.
