omg that last ask with the abandoned fic.... I WANT TO READ IT SO BAD it’s so sad to me when authors choose to take down their work especially if they think its not good enough because there’s always people who think their work is amazing :( also, i’m new to the literati fandom can anyone rec me some good fics please? ❤️

Of course!! And I totally agree on the fic, I wish I could read it and I feel so bad that people hate their work so much that they’ll take it down. So many people admire their work. But yes, here are some of my recs:

The Places You Don’t Walk Away From by starsholiday - This is one of my favorite fics! It’s a unique post AYITL fic and it does an amazing job of capturing the spirit and energy of the show. I love how they explore Rory’s character and story and the way they write her and Jess’ relationship. Definitely a must-read.

Maybe the World Won’t Find Us by Callida88 - This one is a oneshot and it’s such a good post series take on Jess and Rory. It’s one I go back and reread a lot and I definitely recommend it.

Starstruck by @missismess - This is also a oneshot and one of the most creative Lit fics I’ve read. It’s basically a groundhog day au with 4x13 and a really good read. It’s a longer one and it’s SO worth it.

While We’re Tidal by @missgoalie75 - This is one of the best established Lit fics that I’ve read. Also a oneshot, taking place during season three, and giving Jess and Rory the story they deserved that season.

begin again by @nathcnscotts - This is another post AYITL fic that I think does a really good job of finding a unique way to approach it. It keeps you hooked the entire time and is a really nice and comforting read. This author also has an ongoing fic that I’d recommend as well!

and i hate accidents (except for when we went from friends to this) by @tayliterati - This is an ongoing fic and one that I really love. It’s post AYITL and it does a really good job of picking up the story about three years later and I really like the direction it goes in with both Jess and Rory. (This author also has another fic with one chapter up that I’m betaing, so I’d also recommend checking that out!)

Harvest Moon by @missismess - This one is a series that is definitely a must read. It’s post series but takes place around the AYITL era. I love the direction it takes with Jess and Rory’s relationship. 2/3 of them are established Lit and they do a really good job of keeping the reader engaged and wanting to keep reading.

that mixed berry yogurt you’re about to eat has expired by gingermaggie - I’ve already recommended this one today but I’m in love with it. It’s a bullet point, Jess and Rory as Jim and Pam au and is a quick and sweet read. It’s one of my comfort fics and I reread it a lot.

If I kept going this list would get super unruly so I’m going to end it there. Some of these authors have other works that I didn’t mention that I still love so I’d check those out as well! I hope you enjoy them, and happy reading ☺️

Yes I’ve also listened to this more times than I care to admit. This podfic is singlehandedly dragging me into the Shakespeare/Marlowe ship, and yes, there’s exactly as many dick jokes as you’d expect.

This is I think the biggest multivoice production I’ve ever listened to. It was incredible that we were able to get all of the voices and the script style made it all come together just like an actual episode of Bake Off, complete with dramatic music.

Everyone did an incredible job, but things to listen for: @mayonnaisetoffees and @jetainia as Enjolras and Grantaire played perfectly off of each other despite the fact that they were recording in completely opposite time zones.

@sunlightsymphony nailed Marius’ constant state of worry, and @oakleaffic nailed the perfect balance to all our drama with a well-rounded narration role.

It was one of the first things we all did together but I think it also stands out as maybe our best project. So it gets the #1 slot.
